Jl. Ring Road Utara, Jongkang, Sariharjo, Kec. Ngaglik, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 55581, Indonesia, Srandakan
Cone-shaped museum featuring dioramas & other exhibits on the Indonesian National Revolution.
The monument marks on of the most prestigious events in the Indonesian war of independence. After the fall of Jogjakarta due to Operation Kraai, Indonesian managed to took back the city for one day to told the world that Republic of Indonesia was still exist.Anyway, the building needs a huge overhaul or at least renovation.
For history it is informative. It is small and takes about 15 minutes to walk through. The information plaques are in Indonesian and English, but the information is not identical. There is more information in Indonesian. The displays are well kept. The sound system is crackly which was a shame and there is some wear and tear. The pictures on the walls outside are really interesting for history buffs and political students. The place was empty. The staff were really lovely and do a great job.The park in which it is located is big and probably has more visitors in the evening than during the day.
Not much to see. Have good history museum. Not much
Its so educative and informative, especially to my childreen.
A nice place to learn about war history
An interesting place to learn about Indonesian history, particularly during the Indonesian National Revolution. But if youre not interested in that you can still visit because there are a lot of World War II weapons on display.
Since the first launched when i was a kid... love jogja love moment love myfamily ever after...
As we know, it is the iconic of Yogyakarta. The functions be more various than just a museum. On the night it changes as Lampion Park. But I cant still easily find a good clean food court here.
A good place to commemorate our national heroes, especially that fight in the second dutch invasion. But the administrator of this place should take a better care to this monument.Cleaning and the exterior/interior design should be more thorough.
A very interesting museum with the complete collections of the authentic parts of the moment Yogyakarta as the temporary capital of Indonesia. The third floor was the thrill place of all
I paid 15k to get in. They have plenty showrooms. I started from the first floor up to the third. Its a great place to knwo more about Indonesian history.
Went here during my high school time. Its a wonderful moment to visit here as I can truly see authentic evidence of the revolutionary war against colonials.
A historical place and also a place to have fun outside. few of photo spot with a great view at afternoon.
What a historical place. You can see a lot of WW2 weapons and also story of Indonesian Independence War
A monument to commemorate the return of Yogyakarta to Yogyakartas people during the Dutch military aggression in the late 48sThis place offer various diorama with audio lesson which tell story of the fight during the war. Also some item left behind or used during the war are preserved here. For you who really want to know the history of how yogyakartas people fought for the liberation of yogyakarta, see the full story here.Suggest come here in the afternoon, and enjoy the Lantern surrounding the monument at night.
This Jogja monument is quite well maintained. although there are many things that need to be improved because the facility has long been operating. The museum is surrounded by parks & fish ponds, unfortunately many food vendors that open kiosks around the museum pool seem to lack cleanliness, so it looks less beautiful to look at. a place for those of you who love Indonesian history lessons & who need information on Indonesian history in the era of the second world war.
It describes how yogyakarta was attacked by holland till yogyakarta back to Indonesia
A museum where you can bring a whole family for holiday. It has play ground as well.
Good museum. Clean and the ticket cost is cheap. They also provide traditional games and play a old movie (Serangan Umum 1 Maret.
Nice place for kids to know about history our country, and theres place for hang out at the night.. So interesting..
A good place to hang out, take pictures, and most importantly learn about the history of Indonesia.
Comfortable museum from parking car till facilities (e.g. Toiletwell managed.
Historic and inspiring nasionalism place, good for kids, good for family, good for education, many traditional games can be found here like egrang, hullahoop, bakiak panjang, etc. Unique cone-shaped museum with beautiful pool surrounding the museum. The ticket is very very cheap, only 10K you can get many extraordinary experiences like 15 minutes big-screen cinema of Indonesian Revolution, war machine museum, diorama, all presented by very friendly museum staffs. Its good and recommended for kids and family
Its a great place to learn about the history or just hangout with the family, esp children. Lots of toys you can try in here. Come in the afternoon to enjoy the environment.
its a museum, to remind the fighting of people of Indonesia in the battle of Jogja in 1949, an effort to show the world that Indonesia government still have power although their leaders have been captured.the museum is very clean, homy and well maintenanced. the fallen heroes wall is very touchy indeed, ... proud of you our heroes!
One of the biggest museum building in Jogja. Historical. Good views, good content
When I was at Yogyakarta, I wanted to visit the Monumen Yogya Kembali because I was intrigued by its shape. Entrance to the museum cost me IDR 10,000.00. Photography was permitted all throughout the museum. The structure is divided into two parts: the upper conical portion and square base. Inside the conical structure is a museum containing dioramas of historical events pertaining to Indonesia’s Independence from the Dutch. At the center is a stone slab with a quote from President Soeharto The wall surrounding the conical structure contains reliefs of more historical events.
It is a worth place to visit and also good for a family vacation.
A nice place to study about Yogyakarta history... and at night you can enjoy a light lampion with many shapes..
The concept is good, the atmosphere is awesome, but it could be better if well-maintained. I was here for the Lampion park (not for the museum itselfso my review is about the Taman Pelangi. Visiting jogja must also visit this place at night.
Such a well-maintained museum. It deserved a five-star rating. Entrance fee is cheap, only 10K. The museum serves an extensive information of Indonesian army and society fighting against the return of Dutch in 1946-1949. Building and museum stuff are clean and maintained. The museum staff are warm and friendly, guiding us on how to get maximum information from the museum. I went here in year-end holiday and the museum got lots of visitors. The museum officers guided people to come into the visual room. A staff explained about the video we watched. I appreciated the patience and diligence of the staff. The museum seems updated with social media needs. They provide an instagrammable war backdrop, equipped with immitated fighting tools. Almost all visitors used the spot and moment to take funny photos. Love this museum 💕❤
Nice place for hang out with your family, big pond with a lot of fish, only Rp.1000 to feed the fish
Nice place but not good for elderly to walk around it. Hard to find the restroom and poor light for the walk path. No problem for the young.
Very good place but please Visit on 4 PM to 6 PM if you want enjoy there and also this place shown history of Jogja.I visiting personally this place and feel good
A place that can educate kids and to know all the history behind about the statue
Its a historical place.. i cant say anything about Indonesian heroes, who sacrifice their life for the sake of my generation. This place shows us what happened that time. With real life size dolls like Madam Tussauds, gloomy display and sound effect
As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent view, a delightful luxuries of modernity. Monumen Jogja Kembali was Fantastic. Very clean and stylish place, and In a great location. Would definitely come here again!Welcome to Jogja Istimewa
Went here for the Taman Pelangi (hard translation: rainbow parkand captured a lot of photos. The entrance fee was 20,000/person. It was a good place to bring your children and spent the night here! Totally cool place!

Good place to hang out with frinds or family. Sometimes they held music performances there.
Its a cool place. Well, I have to say that some of the facilities there are broken, but inside the monument its pretty amazing. You can see dioramas and mini-museums there, with lots of guns, cannons, and traditional weapons on display. Outside, there are some boats that you can use to go around the canal that surrounds the main building.
An elegant place to memorize Indonesia history with its outstanding cone-shape building and diorama room inside. Better to visit in the morning or afternoon.
If you want to know our history just come here, u will see diorama and video of Jogjakarta attacked by NICA on 1949.
Such a really nice place to remind us how the elders protect this country and make it independence
Good place specially for student to study a little bit of Indonesian history...
Good display of lantern around the monument, you can also feed the fish in the pond surrounding it. Dont come here with (tooempty stomach because only light food stall available. You can walk around the monument or rent bicycle with a lot of LED light. There is also amusement park in front of the monument
Surely, quite interesting at night... Too hot at noon.
