Phenomenal coffee! I love the calm and relaxing atmosphere of Montrè cafe. The owner is incredibly kind and passionate and provides a wonderful experience. She makes a proper coffee! Im a real coffee junky so I have explored many cafes all over the country. Montrè cafe has the best coffee Ive had in a very long time!

Nice people , and the food is nice to. A little pricey but I guess thats just the way things are now. I do go quite regular and yes they do have their off days but if you tell them your not happy with something ive found they haven no problem fixing it.

Met friends here for lunch & really enjoyed this cafe. The staff were very pleasant & a nice selection of cabinet food. Will visit again. Jenny

I love the kebab there. But the young lady today didnt wear a mask, so I have to reduce 2 stars.A shame for such a good Cafe.A answer why you set your costumers under risk would be nice.Sadly was the last time we visit your store.You lost today 2 costumers.I wonder if that was worth for not wearing a mask.Gst: 122-458-454

I absolutely call in and get chips or a meal every time I supermarket shop there. As i love their food. Their pastas and dinners, takeaway and eat in are 2nd to none. Exquisite. Their chips are unique and a lovely snack. I love these hard working people too, very lovely indeed. Fettuccine is masterpiece.

Had three great meals for our lunch today. All of them well cooked, well presented and delicious.

We came for breakfast and it was an amazing experience. The cabinet food and the breakfast menu was great with many options. Everything looks really good. What we order tasted really delicious.

The reviews for this Cafe are a bit tumultuous. The majority appear to love this place and some have disliked it. our review is the latter unfortunately. we were here at 3pm one sunny tuesday afternoon. At this time, there is an understanding that there will be limited food options and the place will be a bit messy. I love the quirky decor, but the tables were stacked full of dirty dishes and the service was virtually non-existant. we ordered a couple of cinnamon scrolls and a couple of iced drinks. the food came in 10 mins but the drinks took nearly 25 minutes. while preparing the drinks, we observed the staff rinse dirty glasses with water and serve new drinks in those glasses. the jug in which the drinks were mixed suffered the same treatment. with covid present in the community, the mind boggles at the lack of basic hygiene standards. more training needed.

My son and I dropped in for breakfast, it was ready within 10 minutes of sitting, great food with a good coffee to complement the service and food.Highly recommend

Surprise find. Not what I was expecting. Ive walked past plenty and thought it was simply a cute cafe at the entrance of a supermarket. Went for brunch one morning only to discover they are actually a restaurant.Returned for dinner 3 weeks later, and while my brunch from the time before was good and hot, the steak was next level. All our meals (4 of uswere well presented and extremely tasty.Well done to the chef.

This is a good place to eat a nice meal with friends/family. Also one very good batista serving hot coffee here too.

I got a Falafel Salad it was just like slop 😥 and you need to do something with your takeaway containers The sauce was all over my seat in the car😤. We had dinner there about a month ago and it was excellent thought I come back and get a takeaway .

I’ve eaten dinner here twice in two weeks and recommend both the eggplant parmigiana ($30and the pudim ($13, creme caramel). The staff are very helpful. They happily catered for a vegan member of our party. We’ve also had the salmon, steak and pulled pork mains, all of which were scrumptious.

A lovey place to grab a coffee or treat, but I highly recommend you stay an enjoy a meal while soaking in the warm hospitality and lovely ambiance. The staff are inviting and friendly and the food is made with love and absolutely AMAZING! My husband an I ate here 3 times during our short stay in Omanawa because we loved it so much!

This cafe and restaurant is a real treasure.Took my 88 year old mother in law for a farewell dinner before her return to Boston. Dinner main choices were excellent, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, with delicious sauces to enhance each main dish. As good as any restaurant in town . Highly recommended.

Excellent meal, attentive service and charming decor. Very good value for money and the quality was high. An unexpected gem in a small coastal town - should be full every night once the locals twig to how good it is.

Been three times over the past 6 months and have enjoyed everytime, partly because it was my shout only once... Service is great, food is pretty nice. Not the greatest view but if your wanting just a nice lunch/dinner and catch up with friends or family its a great place

Had previously visited this place and whilst the service was a little slow, the cabinet food I ordered was amazing and my coffee was pleasant. However I visited a second time today and had quite the opposite experience, still good coffee, but ordered a slight variation to the cabinet food, after a long wait, I was shocked to get back to the car to open my take away box to find a VERY disappointing looking burnt toasted sandwich. It was miles off what I had compared it to when ordering with the lovely young cashier (althought I was charged the same price), I popped back in and asked the manager if she felt the cost was fair considering I hadnt ended up with the super thick white bread that I was hoping for, the manager went into a tizz, blaming it entirely on the young girl that served me, throwing her right under the bus by saying she had told her she didnt have the right bread. I received a $2 refund, and made sure that she was aware that my disappointment had moved from the food, to the way that the manager threw her member of staff under the bus.In conclusion, good cabinet food, quite slow service, okay coffee, but not very supporting managers.

Most beautiful place. Lovely staff and gorgeous food. I had pancakes with banana and bacon and maple syrup. Was fantastic. Ill be back again!

Well Ill start with the no so good, first of all it took forever for our food to come out after ordering, then the order was not how we asked, the funny thing is we were the only ones there... anyway the waitress was very pleasant, I would point out if the kitchen was not open tell your customers, dont let them wait at the table. The good it looks fantastic.

My daughter and I have dined here several times and we both really love it. They make the best coffee and mochas and delicious food. The service is very friendly and the decor is gorgeous!

Enjoyed the lamb meal I had, very nice...but the medium rare steak my partner had was chewy and dry, left a 1/3 of the portion on the plate. We told the wait staff and got the impression that it was because he had chosen to have it medium rare. The response to our complaint was disappointing and its unlikely we will return.

Called in this morning for coffee, the positives the coffee was great and the cafe has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Sadly the person who served us was not engaging at all, the barista was pleasant and made conversation. We ordered 2 coffees and a ham/cheese and white sauce sandwich (from the cabinetwe waited a long time for the sandwich to arrive when it did arrive it was cold in the center and bread was burnt on the outside, an underwhelming selection on our part. From a "return custom" point of view Im not sure why you would serve a burnt sandwich? Options were to make another one or ask us to select something else from the cabinet. We inquired as to when the sandwich would be ready and told is was coming? sadly it arrived long after we had finished our coffee. There were not a lot of people in the cafe ,so puzzled as to why service was so slow and their choice to serve the burnt sandwich. Maybe would return for a coffee but unlikely to eat there again. Shame !

Had dinner their a while ago but food was great. Presentation was very nice and staff we friendly and always smiling. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Service was great. Staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the food was below average. We got the lamb and the pork belly. Presentation was awesome, but the lamb was very chewy and came in 5 pieces. Pork belly was huge, but once again it was very tough. Kids meals were very nice though.

Beautiful decor, lacklustre experience.To get the positives out of the way, the internal decor is lovely and the coffee is nice. Everything behind the glass such as the pies and treats looked very good.The service and theme are bewildering, and overall it was a very confusing experience. The service was very slow, disorganized and unclear. The staff seemed nice, but untrained and inattentive. I understand that food can take some time, but it would have been lovely to have received my beverage while waiting. It was not clear whether we were to order at the register because a staff member came to our table to ask us if we wanted something and didnt come back. For that reason i think there was a clear lack of interest and care in customer experience.For the name which loosely translates to cafe workshop, I would expect a lot more than a cheap Lipton tea bag when I order a $4.50 tea.I give them credit for trying to do something different and nice in the area, and the coffee take away is probably quite good, but I would not recommend it as a place to eat in.

I stopped here while in the area for business at 9;30am. The cafe looks decadent and very characteristic. The food cabinet was inviting. I ordered a mocha and a scone to takeaway. I was the only one in the cafe at the time. My order took 13 minutes to make. The barista made 5 coffees before mine as people just popped in to collect while i was waiting. I guess they knew to place the order and to come back later. Then an hr later i tried the scone and it was from the previous day. That is not good enough... by all means keep the day before scones for the customers that sit down, so you can revive it in the oven or heat it up. they wont know the difference, but not for a takeaway. I would doubt anything I order now.Please work on your engagement, timing and customer understanding. There was no conversation, no smile (i got one from the chef lady), no interaction form the barista, he seemed more intent in keeping his machine spotless. You can cleaning it when you have no one in front of you!!!
