What a beautiful place. Best way to go is on small motorized boats and these are best suited to navigate thru the mangroves.

Beautiful natural retreat with a lot of biodiversity, going from El Morro, passing by boat to the mangroves and diving in the amazing natural pools, and going to Isla Cabra. Sunshine, sand, beaches.

Hermoso paisaje para disfrutar y tomarse fotos, es una zona con mucho viento. Puedes elegir subir al Morro, acercarte a la playa y ver de manera impresionante una roca cerca de allí conocida como el "zapato" o quedarte simplemente sentado compartiendo con amigos (hay bancos o puedes llevar sillas plegables).Preferiblemente ir con zapatos deportivos comodos al igual que la ropa. Los lentes, gafas, sombreros o gorros podrían salir volando... se debe andar con cuidado y mantener a los niños bien observados.La atracción mayor son unos columpios en la cima de la montaña.En el camino a la zona de la montaña, te encontrarás con las minas de sal, la "playa del morro", colmados y donde hacer excursiones en toda la zona por mar y tierra a buen precio.

So this is a very small "park". I was in town over 3 weeks and no one told me it was there and I was doing work for the Ministry of Culture. I have not translated the sign yet.

These part of the Hispaniola island is awsome and a little bit spectacular. While your trip to Monte Cristi you will wonder about the dry and hot weather and the full green landscape. This land is so rich of water from the mountains so they can plant everything overthere and could harvest more than 2 times per year. The highlight of the National park is the hill El Morro, which has only a 242 m high peak, but the climbing is like a torture ... because nobody of the natives will climbing ever overthere, because you can do only in the early morning! The other spectacular landmark is the oceans beach with red sand or sand from crushed corals. All together the visit is worth the long way to there, but you dont need stay more than 3 days.
