Fantastic food and service

Gorgeous fusion cuisine restaurant

Classy presentation on top of distinguished delicacy in food preparation. Though a bit pricey and rather limited selections of main course, this is still one of my very few favorites in town.

Cant say enough good things about this place. No idea how I was able to get a table here on such short notice. I wasnt expecting French Asian fusion when I walked Im but it was amazing. So much food on the 10 course menu. I cant imagine adding any of these supplementary appetizers or desserts. Good luck if you do!

I brought my wife here for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with the delicious menu and brought our family and friends back over and over again.

All dishes of the set are so tasty, and great service! It is worthy to come again and recommend to friends, definitely.

Lunch set meal was good.

Pork chop is kinda big, but you can taste three different layers (Tender, crispy, and lean meatof pork. If the fat part is too grease, try to dip some mango sauce. Over all, you can feel how chef want to bring up new experience with different textures and ingredients in dishes.

Great Atmosphere, Great Food.

Came for dinner and it was one of the best meals under US$100 Ive ever had. Excellent service, healthy portion sizes, cooked to perfection. The chef clearly has a tongue for flavors, with combinations that are both satisfying and heartwarming. This was my second trip to Monsieur L and it has become my favorite Western style restaurant in Taipei.

We had a wonderful experience here, though we didnt expect to stay so long. I think we were there almost four hours. Plan plenty of time to eat if you go in the evenings. Its also a good idea to book in advance as they get crowded here some nights. I think they have a lunch or brunch menu that isnt so expansive. For dinner, there were two choices of set meals, and you had some options for what was included. There are many small courses and it takes a long time to get through them. Its a small place, but it is quiet and doesnt feel crowded. The staff are very friendly and speak English well. They were very apologetic that one desert would take extra time and gave us a free appetizer while we waited even though we didnt complain or ask for anything. One nice thing is that there is a window into the kitchen and you can see the head chef preparing dishes. The kitchen even looks very clean. This was a rare experience and Im not an expert in food, and not French food at all, but the food was wonderful.

Very delicious food with professional service. The atmosphere is very pleasant and you will come back again. Also, the price is reasonable.

Update:. Came to visit for the 3rd time. Prices have gone up a bit. Fortunately, I think the flavors and plating have both improved. Upgrade to 4 stars from 3.Located in the residential area, good ambience and services. Lunch prix fix menu was NT$1080 to $1280, including appetizers, soup, main couse, desert and tea/coffee. So, quite high CP with seemingly fresh ingredients. But as to tastes and flavors, unfortunately, they were all at average levels, kind of blend, did not stand out.

Its a set menu french restaurant. They have 2 choices for each course. One of us ordered a pork chop for the main course and it was huge! We didn’t expect it was that big after eating many courses before. One of the disappointing thing, is the flavor of the desserts weren’t as tasty as the savory dishes.

Highly recommended for anyone would like to great dinner....they keep giving me surprise since first dish... Definitely will come back for more~

We went three for a birthday dinner and the food was exquisite and the service was spot on. I felt like 4 appetizers were a bit too much at the end but I really wanted to try all they had to offer. The chestnut soup with foie gras was especially amazing, that was my favourite.

though its categorized as french, i think they used various other styles. for example, they served gnocchi. the food is good nonetheless

This place is great, good value for the level of execution and quality. Definitely was not bland or anything close to McDonalds... No idea what thats about. Ill be back, really nice dinner option in Taipei.

Good quality for Taiwan but if you are used to real French cuisine in France the food here is rather bland. Also the service is pretty ordinary, no better than a very fancy McDonald. For example wines were never refilled promptly (the bottle I brought).

Great setting, located net to a lush tree shaded street.Excellent food and service. Smart wine selection and pairing.Had the best caprese salad variation ever. The pork chop was one of the best Ive had so far.Highly recommended.
