27 Monmouth St, London WC2H 9EU, Sake
Cafe with cakes and carefully sourced coffee, first of tiny chain that roasts its own beans.
The best coffee in London! Fully ethical and a genuinely nice spot to have a coffee.I get all my beans from here, and stop by for a quick espresso on the way to work
Variety of coffee choices, a cozy place, and friendly staff.
The SWEETEST team of baristas works here - if youre in need of a big shot of serotonin with your coffee, dont look any further, the Monmouth should be your no. 1 adress ☕☕☕
Coffee with good quality! There’s a queue in front of the place but be patient for this great taste!
Always popular. Love its coffee and bought a bag of ground coffee home.
The best coffee roaster I have tried in London. Great and friendly staff as well.
Small place with limited seating, but extremely nice staff and excellent coffee. They dont have takeaway cups #ecofriendly 👌
A good cup of coffee but not the best place for pastry!Of course Monmouth coffee is a place for coffee but I was surprised that the pain au chocolat was cold and chewy. It was a bit disappointing to be honest!
Coffee taste good flat white and filter coffee not much seated area!
Just wow! Amazing coffee (house blend☕️ in a tiny cozy boutique cafeA big plus are eco-friendly cups that they lend you for take away which you can return (£5 refundable)
Nice and cozy location to have breakfast outside on the terrace. The setting there was very nice and it’s near Neals yard. It is also not crowded in terms of people and vehicles passing by. There is not as much choice of things to eat, but the basics are there. It was also very tasty and the service ran very smoothly. I paid 7.20 pounds for a croissant and iced latte which is cheaper than most other bakeries here in London. Definitely highly recommended.
Good coffee, they don’t serve paper cup to go, its either ceramic ( dine in or if you get you own mug.
Iced latte is lovely. I highly recommend.
Great experience.Friendly staff who answered all of my questions and even explain further about their shop.I tried espresso and filter coffee, both was great and fruity.
It was such a great experience over here. The vibes and the quality of the coffee and even the dessert is extremely good. I’ve tried the flat white, filtered coffee ( Kenyan beans), Brownie and the amazing Canele. Give them all 100%.
Lovely coffee shop who roasts their own specialty coffee. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They look like people who love their coffee. The only small thing about this place is that its too small and seating is limited. Theyve recently started to put tables outside by the streets. However, for the amount of customers they have it can get a bit crammed, especially at the till.
Good coffee and friendly service. Seating is limited. They dont have disposable cups so your options are either to try and find seating or purchase a reusable cup for a to go coffee.
Indeed they lived to their reputation as one of the best coffee in London. The almond croissant and kouign aman are flaky and flavorful too.
Quite famous cafe in London.Milk foam was pretty good, but bean was not my taste. There was limited seats inside and was a bit narrow.
Best coffee and best pastries ever! Of course friendly staffs too. I have started to miss their latte now.
If you’re used to V60, their iced coffee will disappoint you. I decided to give it another shot with hot coffee. Asked for a regular flatwhite but I got an extra hot instead. Told the barista to redo the flatwhite just to have an awful cup of flatwhite! It really looked DISGUSTING. Even Starbucks coffee would’ve looked better. Also keep in mind place is really small and it’s very busy you will unlikely be able to find a place to sit outside. Moreover, you’ll have to purchase a reusable cup if you want your hot coffee for takeaway. I do not recommend the visit especially if you’re coming from a far place just for it.
The coffee was great, served in the cups despite the fact that we were just standing outside. Love coffee in ceramics. The vibe is nice. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Will definitely come back.
We like to try new coffee shops when we are in London but we always end up coming back here, absolutely love this place and the coffee here is amazing! Thank you to Rosie for exceptional customer service a true and wonderful asset to the company, very highly recommend!
I have been ordering their coffee online for the past five years and look forward to their curated crops from around the world. Always perfectly custom-ground, fast inexpensive shipping and excellent examples of the varietals. order with confidence!
Cozy little space with incredible coffee. They do high quality coffee without losing the old-school coffee house vibe. Don’t expect to find seats or take out cups
Coming from Melbourne we are accustomed to a high standard of coffee, after being in London for 5 days we were searching for some decent coffee that’s not washed down milk and have finally found it here. The coffee is rich, velvety with a deep palate and perfectly extracted. The place is complemented with pastries of sorts and they offer loan cups for £5 which is refundable when you return the cup, or alternatively sit and enjoy the coffee in their shop. Overall a great cafe with the best coffee I’ve had in London, highly recommend if you’re a keen coffee enthusiast.
If you are into specialty coffee there are better spots in London. Id check out Square Mile or Ozone for truly special beans. There is however something very charming about this spot. You can walk up, talk to someone about the beans, and order as many by weight as you want. The lighter roasted stuff was a little on the stale side but still produced a decently flavored pour over.
Best coffee I’ve had in London and they sell a stellar collection of beans. Extremely friendly and efficient baristas. If you are a fan of drip, it is also made to order ensuring proper extraction and freshness. Surprisingly good pastries as well.
Not the cappuccino I expected to get! Have been there previously and the coffee was amazing, this time it was just bunch of milk foam on espresso.
Extensive coffee beans selection. Staff is friendly. Coffee is good
One of the best cafes in London. Coffee’s great! Service is good! More choices on the pastries wouldn’t hurt but overall this cafe is amazing. Went to a few other cafe but this one stood out. If only it was closer to our hotel.
Very tasty ice lattes and full of good fresh coffees beans options
Arrived here at weekday lunch time. The shop was very busy. Ordered flat white and sat outside. I was disappointed when I saw there is no coffee art on my flat white…. Maybe it was during busy time. The barista has great smile though. It’d be better if more seats are available.
Such yummy coffee and pastries. Definitely worth the walk. Staff are so lovely. I will definitely come here again. 😁
Awesome cafe, a bit busy but it’s worth it! The staff is lovelyLarge choice of beans, it’s possible to buy the quantity you want
We often by beans from Monmouth and delivery is the fastest we’ve ever seen. When in London we always stop by, this last time we wanted to get coffee to go and they no longer do this, so we drank inside. There are a few booths in the back and they’re very nice to sit in. The coffee is exceptional as well.
Had a great cappuccino for £3.10. A really good price on such quality coffee. Nice atmosphere on that small street in the middle of everything. Nice staff and its nice to see them weigh up the beans.
Ive been roaming around London on bike for six months and using the coffee shops to work out of. This is an outstanding place! Seven Dials is a charming area, then you find a gem like this - coming off the quiet street, you are welcomed by charming and friendly ladies. The baked goods look amazing and they have a small seated area up a few stairs. It got very busy shortly after I arrived, so obviously popular with the people that work locally.
One of my favorite specialty coffees in London! Make sure you don’t the confuse with the Monmouth Kitchen as I did.
Good coffee but prepare to wait, sometimes have a fair bit of people. Also bring your own mug unless you having cold drinks.
A small cozy place with cheerful staffs. There are limited seats inside so maybe you need to wait a bit to get seated.Flat white is amazing as everyone says and also the canele was really good!
London’s best coffee place and no one can tell me otherwise! They have a huge selection of beans that you can choose from and the staff is adorable!I ordered an Iced black Americano with the Fazenda Furnaz beans from Brazil, absolutely delicious!
The best coffee so far in the city. Crowded place. Hard to find a seat. They also sell beans and ground coffee at a reasonable price. Staff is so nice and helpful.
Monmouth Coffee on Monmouth Street. The best - this becomes my local when I fly in from sydney (…yeah right)…Anyway they have an amazing selection of single origins that can be brewed however you want - pour over, filter, espresso etc….Super nice shop, super good staff, super good!
I am not particularly a coffee person, so I won’t comment on the quality of coffee (it must be great based on the reviews)I ordered one latte(£2.9and one almond croissant(£3.3), both were pretty nice. They have seats hidden at the back and you pay afterwards. The staff are all really friendly (and busy!). The place is really popular even on a rainy Wednesday morning.
Ive read the reviews about Monmouth coffee. So, after lining up I was greeted by a friendly member of staff. My flat white was worth the wait. Ill definitely return
Back in the day I used to pop in here for coffee before heading to Fatcat just around the corner. Many years later and Monmouth Coffee are still a destination in London for speciality coffee.
Beautiful coffee! I ordered an oat milk latte and sat outside for a while. Great cafe to go alone or with a friend. Also, the prices are really good for London specialty coffeeshops (£2.75 for an oat latte)
It’s good for people who have obsession about the coffee. Where you can chose the kind of Bean and they will make your coffee cup. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered Filter Coffee and two balls of Cream Truffles, from my point of view; it was normal and nothing special. If you come to spend sometime with nice ambience this place is not suitable for you because it’s very small and not quiet. I recommend getting your coffee take away.
One of the best coffees in London! Monmouth despite being a chain they serve high quality coffees and sell beans. This particular branch is popular amongst Londoners and tourists, grab yourself a seat at the back and enjoy a variety of pastries and a good cup of coffee. The staff are polite, fast and knowledgeable. The filtered coffee I had made with Costa Rica beans was brewed well unlike most coffee houses I am able to taste the notes and flavours. The seat in area is small but cosy but its a unique ambience almost like a library mixed with a pub.Highly recommended if you want to slow down your hectic day for a destressing coffee.
