Mon cher ton ton - Teppanyaki restaurant in Nishishinminato, Japan
Mon cher ton ton in Nishishinminato
Description
Privilege
High quality restaurant with high level of service. Excellent quality of ingredients used in the food
MoreDisgustingly expensive absent of the taste. The location, setting and service are pretty good, but the food is basic at best. Seriously, DO NOT waste your money!!!! $270 per person for some fried veg, steak and ice scream is insane!! If if we’re to make a guess, the hotels are getting a kickback on their recommendations, but this is mere speculation on my part.
MoreOur party of 3 dinned here in August 2022. While the food was excellent, we had an enormous mixup with the wine bill and we were charged Y190,000 yen for a bottle of wine. The Park Hyatt Tokyo called on our behalf, as well as my Visa credit card and the restaurant did nothing to help us. Extremely disappointed. They did not even offer a free meal to compensate for this error. The first bottle of wine was 19,000, and when we asked for another they said they were sold out. The staff then brought a bottle of white wine in error. Again, we asked for red wine and the staff brought a bottle that was 190,000 Yen. We were extremely shocked by the bill. I cant believe the restaurant has not offered any form of compensation for this error.
More2022/6/26訪問ランチで行きました。
MoreThe detail given to us and our food was beyond incredible.Amazing taste.Everyone spoke English (even for the phone reservation).Excellent place for a date, a business meeting, or just relax after work.Depending on what you order, it can be a bit expensive but it is well worth it.
MoreGood food but totally over priced.
Excellent top location.
Kobe Steak @ Seryna Tokyo Tepanyaki
Probably the best Kobe steak Ive ever had. The service was implacable, the interior design is beautiful. A private chef prepared everything in front of us, and explained every dish.Delicious and very high quality and class. My only comment is that the courses can be a bit more spaced. They arrived too fast, without giving us enough time to relax between them. Another thing is that the kobe steak should be served last, and not the missu soup. Save tge best for last, as they say.Super fancy, expensive, and totally worth it!
MoreFantastic authentic Japanese restaurant with excellent food and impeccable service. Ive eaten there twice and cant wait to go back a third time. The intimate rooms/table settings make it feel like you have your own private restaurant. Its pricey but well worth it as a treat. Order the beef rare for the best experience!
MoreGreat teppan yaki near roppongi. Great food but bit pricey
Very kind service as youd expect from an expensive restaurant. The Kobe beef is a must order, the best steak Ive ever had. They had a mostly complete gluten free menu except for a gluten free soup towards the end of the meal. Overall superb dining experience
MoreVery fancy and expensive but worth it if you can afford it. Any of the prefix menu options are great be sure to have your order ready before you arrive. They took our order when we made the reservation. Which ever meal you have prefix or not, be sure to have the Kobe. I have never had a better piece of steak, ever.
MoreHighly recommended for Teppanyaki. The experience was great. Truly enjoyed it.
Teppanyaki restaurant worth a visit.
Pricey and just OK. There are better options.
Good but priced as if it was excellent.Very classic teppanyaki. Velvet underground location with no natural light. Course menu properly done, great hospitality but expect to pay 250€/$ per person AS A MINIMUM up to 5/600€/$ and more for eating food worth half of that price or less.
MoreHighly recommend to go! If you go to Japan you need to experience a real Teppanyaki and Mon cher ton ton is one of the best. Food are amazing, well presented and very tasty. The ambiance is cozy and staff very friendly and attentive.
MoreExcellent place to treat visitors from abroad !
Went with a friend. Both of us ordered the Kobe Special Dinner with Red Wine. Very excellent albeit incredibly expensive. Full attention of chef at the table. Everything was cooked perfectly. Dessert was amazing. So much care has been taken to ensure the service of waiters were impeccable.
MoreNice place and deliciuous
Had the Mon Cher set meal. It was 10/10 amazing. Our Japanese colleagues said they had never had better wagyu. I have no idea what kind of value this place has because I never saw the prices (fortunate for my wallet). But if you have the cash to spend then definitely blow it here. My only critique- the lobster went from still moving on the table fresh to rubbery/over-cooked when served.
MoreBeen going to this resto for over 30 years and the quality is still high. Now mainly a tourists attraction but the food quality is still there. The ise ebi (lobsteris just fantastic...
MoreTypical Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. Food is good. Japanese experience.
Expensive but very good food. Here is a caviar on warm pancakes dish served with sour cream .. creative n yummy.
MoreTraditional. I could use the knife flipping for an extra star.
Be careful... expensive... but good... but expensive... a very good service...
Amazing experience. Great food. Great service
Good place to have Kobe beef
[From Vietnam] Everything is good! Price level is high class
Best beef Ive ever had.
Love every bite best service fresh food
Fun atmosphere
First of all... great great great service! Got the regular sirloin kobe steak and the tenderloin. Nicely cook and delicious! This is actually my 2nd experience and I can confidently recommend this place.
MoreThis wagyu restaurant was recommended by my hotel and they have multiple locations across Tokyo. I elected to try the location in Roppongi as it was in the heart of the area and allowed for additional sightseeing or barhopping afterwards. The restaurant provides a number of set menus, and I elected the mid-level SERYNA dinner for 12,960 yen, which consisted of: amuse, hot appetizer, grilled prawn and scallop, wagyu prime sirloin, vegetable salad, garlic rice and miso soup, dessert and coffee. I upgraded to the use of Kobe beef for an additional 6,000 yen.The amuse of spinach and mushrooms was clean and refreshing. The hot appetizer, which was a slow cooked beef stew, was savory and a bit heavier to further whet the appetite. Next was the first teppan grilled course, the prawn and scallop. Word of warning, the prawn is alive when they start grilling it. While the prawn and scallop were delicious, this might catch some people off guard. Next was the wagyu steak, which I ordered medium due to a bout of food poisoning the night before. It was purely buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and had a wonderful mouthfeel. The way the chef sliced through the beef made it apparent that it was going to be very tender even before I put the first piece in my mouth. Next was the string cut vegetable salad, which was a nice crisp, refreshing break from the meat. And to complete any Japanese meal, the chef grilled garlic fried rice accompanied by pickles and miso soup, superb. After finishing the meal, you are taken to a separate area to enjoy your selected dessert and coffee to engage in conversation before ending the evening. Service, was top notch, as expected in Japan. The chefs and wait staff spoke enough English to describe each dish or drink, and all in all, this was a top level experience.
MoreGood food, good service
A fantastic experience in the earth of Roppongi!! Very attentive service, friendly staff, great cooks, amazing decor.... one of the best teppan restaurant experience I have had in Japan! To be noted that they have a great selection of french wines - the Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru from 2008 was just perfect on the Wagyu Beef!
MoreBest dinner I had so far!!!
Just knew this place after watching Doctor X episodes. Food and service were great. Lunch set was more affordable.
MoreAmazing food! Try the Kobe beef, best meal of my life (better than many Michelin stars)
MoreThis was recommended by our hotel concierge. We had the set menu which had Kobe beef, lobsters, etc. Really enjoyed the meal and the teppanyaki being cooked in front of us. It was incredibly expensive though. Remember to book beforehand as the restaurant was full when we were there!
MoreExcellent teppanyaki, presented with style.
Walked in at 6:30pm local time, the place only had five people seated (not even 10% filledand the manager/seater/guest relations officer said they were full. After looking around at the the empty establishment I then asked why it was "full". He then said Japanese only. After walking for twenty minutes just to go to this place, I walked away feeling extraordinarily upset. If your not Japanese, I do not recommend it.
MoreGreat food with a side of the dramatic presentation of teppanyaki. The beef was beautifully and cooked to medium-rare pink tender mouthwatering perfection. The bonito carpaccio was lovely. The scallops were plump and flavorful. Be prepared to leave very full and very happy.
