Momo Japanese Restaurant - Japanese restaurant in Pueblo, United States
Good service, good food, good prices
One of the best sushi places in town. Yung roll and Vegas are my favorite. Need to fix air conditioning
Is this place still open? They dont answer their phone for the past few days now..
Love this place. Amazing chefs and staff.
Many different sushi rolls available. For the non-sushi cravings, bento boxes and other plates available. I recommend the teriyaki chicken plate. Portion size was enough for 2-3 meals! There was a line before they opened, but they have plenty of seating inside
Great food but service is horrible. The girls working acted like they didn’t want to be there and just avoided coming to our table all together but sure brought the ticket while we were eating.
Udon was delicious. Sushi was what you would expect in Pueblo. Service was good.
Food and service were awesome Silvia was my waitress, every thing was very fresh
The food is delicious, sushi or otherwise. 4 stars because I would like to see a better atmosphere for a Japanese restaurant.
Lunch was amazing and the staff were very social and friendly. I am glad I took my friends to momos for a bite and some nice chill time!
You guys are my favorite sushi place in town! Only down side is I wish you guys would get on door dash.
Clean, quiet environment with good Sushi. It was nice to sit and enjoy lunch with the kids. Price was writhing what I expected for good Sushi.
The sushi was amazing but please for the love of glob turn the table booth seats around make it easier to get in & out
Terrible just badly done. Look at all the pictures people are posting, the crumbling rice and badly formed rolls, the fish kinda draped badly. Anyone that rates this 5 stars obviously has no idea what Japanese food is supposed to be. The presentation was bad, poor service, and the flavors.... ugh not right. If you have eaten here, I weep for you friend. There is no way to un-eat what youve eaten. This is the kind of place that makes people dislike sushi. The ancestors are weeping, there is a deep dishonorable and disgraceful feeling that you can taste when eating here. Perhaps if you go to a Shinto shrine they will pray for the sins they have done to the rice they serve. Was it instant microwave rice that was sitting in the cooler for a week they decided to serve instead of throwing away? Woe unto they that pass into this cursed restaurant. This place should have been on kitchen nightmares or something. What is going on? People that give this place 5 stars should not be trusted.
The two people making the sushi, worse attitudes ever, walked in to pick up order no one was at register, just The two people making sushi, so I say how are you all , and they dont even look at me, after the server rings me up and Im waiting, the guy behind the counter just stands there and stares at me, very uncomfortable, so I didnt give tip.I wont be back anytime soon, Ill just stick to the King Soopers sushi, just as good without the bad attitudes.
My son n I love goin there! Not too costly-AMAZIN SUSHI!!! Sooo DELICIOUS! Alwayz friendly employees n good family atmosphere.
Worst, most bizarre restaurant experience I’ve had in a while. Plastic spoons and forks. Terrible service no napkins or individual plates for our shareable rolls. A member of our party asked if they have tomato juice and the waitress said she doesn’t know, despite the fact that that’s what she was just supposed to be finding out. Numerous other details about the experience that are questionable. Even my 2 year old son said “that girl didn’t even give us napkins”. Instinctively I’d like to call it all hilarious but in reality it’s very sad.
Momos us some of the best sushi in town
This place was amazing. Got there without even knowing they had happy hour style specials. Got 3 different full size special sushi rolls for only $21. Beer was on special as well. All 3 rolls were enjoyed by the party member eating them. The beef dinner bento box was so filling and the tempura was very crunchy yet lite. Will be going back again for sure.
Man ohhh man the crab tempura and double crunch roll are my absolute favorite!!! Delicious!! Great price! Dont forget to tip your sushi chef!
Excellent sushi! Highly recommended while in Pueblo. The jalapeno popper roll is always a favorite. Everything on the menu is worth ordering.
I have been going to Momos for years, and everytime the service is just as amazing as the food. Cuts are always fresh, saki always piping hot as well as the soup. Best sushi spot in Pueblo, hands down.
Not what i expected shrimp tempura plain with no sauce on them small servings. Look at reviews before going.
Its unfortunate that I am unable to provide a good review for this restaurant. The customer service was beyond awful and quite disrespectful. I came from California to celebrate my son-in-laws birthday with him and he chose to go to Momo for his birthday dinner. The owner operator seemed not to really care to make this right by at least offering some type of compensation for the unsatisfactory service provided by the waitress. My bill was quite expensive and paid in full. Eventhough, we had such a bad experience, we provided the waitress a $30 tip. Needless to say that I will never patronize their establishment again, nor recommend it to anyone else.
My experience here was nothing to write home about. They are overpriced. Especially for the tiniest pieces of sushi and rolls we were served. My spicy tuna roll was the diameter of a crayola marker. My sushi was dry and their complimentary soup was bland. There were 4 of us and one menu. I asked if we could have one more so we could order faster. This annoyed our server and after her snippy response she returned 15 min later with second menu. When she came to take our order we said we had two separate checks. When our food came it was all mixed up on different plates. When we asked which roll was which the server said “i dont know what you ordered you’ll have to look.” Um..ok grumpy two strikes. My friend asked the server if they had a peach saki and the server again with an attitude says “No we dont got nothing like that. You cant buy alcohol we stop serving it”The check- two separate checks come to the table they are incorrectly split up. No big deal, right? I’ll just tell the server she can fix it. She gets irritated storms off and returns. For some reason my debit card asked for a pin number so the girl came back frustrated and told me i needed to go up to the register and tossed my card on the table. Really? At the register she was still a rude little person. This place and the people suck. I wouldn’t return if the food was free.
Good service. However, the price and portions are ridiculous. I spent almost $40 for just myself with 2 rolls and an appetizer, but the amount of food that came with it was tiny. The roll came with 6 small pieces for $10, and sashimi came with 8 very, very small pieces for $12. Not worth imo. Sorry but this place isnt great if you want your moneys worth.
WOW! Talk about disappointed! We love Sushi and were craving it after a super long crazy day. Tried to call and order for pickup. Called repeatedly for over 25 minutes. Phone rang and rang and then disconnected. Finally WENT there to order. Mentioned to the Girl who was seating that we’d been calling. Couldn’t care less and blew Me off ‘we’ve been busy’. Ordered and waited 45 minutes for food. We get home and My wife gets a weird look on her face as she opens the containers. I look over to see what was wrong. They were literally the tinest Sushi rolls I’ve ever seen in My life! I wish I’d taken pics to post. They literally have the diameter of a typical hot dog! On top of that, they were completely tasteless. 5 different rolls usually fills us and then some even when we’re super hungry with a few left over. We ate them all, were still hungry, and literally made us each a sandwich. We both had the same idea. We wished we’d gone to Southside King Soopers and gotten their Sushi. It would have been tastier, more filling, not to mention cheaper (even with the selection limited late in the evening). What a waste of almost $50.00. Next time we want Sushi (which is oftenit definitely won’t be MoMos! Word of advice, save your money and go elsewhere. ANYWHERE else!
Firstly, let me say that this Japanese restaurant is in a very small town. The fish was a little bit on the dry side. The California roll was the best part of the meal which should never be in a sushi place. There were only 5 tables that were available because of social distancing. So it was very hard for me to understand how my water glass could go empty. I had to get up and ask some one to refill it. The waitress was nice but not very attentive.
Amazing. Every time. I prefer the beef bento as I’m not big on fish. My husband really enjoys the Oh Sweety, Crunch, O-Fish and Dragon rolls. My two year old LOVES their miso soup. They have great sake, too; I recommend the cold plum flavored.
I paid 116 and was severely disappointed by what I was given. Shrimp tempura roll was only 3 pieces! Crab tempura is 2 sticks a imitation crab fried! And 26 dollars sashimi sampler was pathetic! Management was completely unconcerned with complaint. Do not go here!
Absolutely horrible experience. Called for a pick up order on Valentine’s Day. I was told it would be an hour for the order which was fine. When we arrived at the restaurant (about an hour and 15 mins after I called in), we were told the order had not been started because an appetizer had not been picked with our medium boat. I was under the impression that the boat came with tempura since that is what the menu online states and the server taking the order never mention anything different. When it was explained to the person at the cash register they said that they tried to call and ask. However, they never took my number to start with even after I asked if they needed it. Maybe they have caller ID I’m not sure. This whole mess was after we had paid for our meal. We were not going to wait another hour + for a meal that should had been ready. We luckily paid cash so an override at the register and we should be out of there but this was the biggest inconvenience for the entire staff. The bigger inconvenience was placing an order then being told after waiting for an hour and paying that we would have to wait an additional hour because of their lack of an updated menu or knowledgeable staff that knows their menu.
We are there tonight around 5:30 the waitresses were horrible we had to ask for our menus after 15 min of sitting there! we had to get up and ask a few times before we actually received our sauce plates ect... It was my birthday and I was opening gifts and waitresses never removed any plates or asked us if we needed refills. The restaurant was also extremely cold we had to wear our coats. When my mom addressed the waitress that no one came to clear plates from our table she smirked and ignored her... horrible experience!!! I have always had my birthday there and received a tempura cheesecake complimentary she didnt offer it this year. I suppose I enjoy my birthday elsewhere next year. I dont recommend this sushi restaurant anymore.
Ordered the salmon bento and it was good. The portion was larger then usual, a pleasant surprise. My waitress was great but was a little slow on service. Everything was much better then the last time I ate there. I will go back again.
No offilaition with Momos in town. Price is alright the rolls are thick and not very long. Food was quick and tasteful.
I love sushi, it is my favorite food. Momos was EXTREMELY disappointing. I have never been so dissatisfied. I would have preferred Safeway sushi over that horrendous imitation of Japanese food. I had such high expectations with how good the reviews were, but I implore you, do not eat here unless you want to be vastly disappointed. Me and my were incredibly sick afterwards.
Service is slow. Food is good. You can customize and deep fry any roll for a $1. Rolls start at $6.
The host was very polite and we were seated immediately. We had our order taken within the first 5 minutes and our food within another 10 minutes. The sushi was absolutely delicious.
FOOD: My Favorite Sushi place in Pueblo, I’ve never had anything that I wasn’t absolutely delighted with. SERVICE: Very Friendly! ATMOSPHERE: Dark & outdated, but who cares when the food & service are so good. PARKING: Limited. LOCATION: Conveniently off I-25 between the 13th St & the 6th St Exits on Santa’s Fe.
Okay, the reason I gave them 4 stars is that the seating is run down and fixed with tape. Wish they would fix that. HOWEVER, that being said, the food is amazing. I have tried almost half of the menu and there are no duds. Go there, ignore the seats, and enjoy!
I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!! it has the best miso soup ive ever had, and the sushi is amazing no matter what kind i get. the employees are always incredibly kind, and all around its a wonderful experience with wonderful service.
My first Japanese delicacy. Avocado Momo and Vegetable Momo. So delicious. Really loved it.
Momo downtown has been hit or miss in the past but now they have cleaned it up a bit and that Darryl the sushi chef is there it is back to its original glory! Love the 3 rolls for $20 and so glad it is tasting and looking amazing again!
Great place for sushi. The staff is great. The chefs are awesome. They work with you to give you the best experience possible. Always willing to add or take away anything you want. Prices are perfect. They always seem to have a special that fits into what you want. I highly highly recommend. Only Downside is they need a bigger parking area.
Just tried to eat here for the first time in Pueblo and I had a salad with ginger and there was a huge gel pink glitter nail. I bit into it with my salad. I am very disgusted and disappointed. They did not even try to help me out just said sorry. I left and will not be eating there ever again. I will Only be eating at the one in Pueblo west. Very disappointed and disgusted. Loss of appetite. There should not have been a nail in my salad what so ever.
Their food and service has gone downhill MAJORLY since the road construction. Used to be my favorite place in town. Why?
Prompt service. 3 Roll Combo for $17. Fantastic deal! And happy hour BOGO rolls 5-7.Steel City, Caliente, and Oh-Sweetie were some of the best rolls.
Delicious food! The couples special is great value that includes three rolls. Miso soup & salad are served at no extra charge. I love their red bean ice cream! Ive been coming here for years.
Very clean restaurant near downtown Pueblo. I had a training on Main Street and this was about a 7-9 minute walk uphill on a beautiful day. The building is on the east side of the street in the 700 block. It was virtually deserted on a Saturday at lunch. There are several vegetarian and vegan options. Vegetable tempura, edamame, salads, cucumber and avocado rolls. The tempura was hot and crispy, delicious. The cucumber and avocado rolls were fresh. The staff were attentive, and even suggested a veggie bowl with rice, which wasnt on the actual menu, but theyre happy to make it. I would definitely eat here again.
Good sushi for the money. Best sushi lunch deal in town. 3 rolls for $17.50. Not my favorite sushi place but I eat here most often because its so affordable. Staff is friendly but not always efficient.
Delicious food, I will definitely be going back!
