NB as of 13 10 21 its no longer openedHad a yuuummy cocktail - spicy mojito. New to the cocktail world, the staff helped me zero in on a drink & i was pleasantly surprised. Asante sana. Had the skewers. Portion suuuper small for 880/- no fries accompanying but tastewise not bad

Moca Loca is a restaurant at the Garden City Mall. It is such a lovely place and its big for it can accommodate a lot of people at once. I love Moca Loca on Sundays for they have a live band that sings and entertain their customers at a free cost. They entertain the customers for about 5 hours which to me this is great customer services. They have food and drinks which are price friendly. They have alcoholic, hot beverages, sot drinks and cocktails which will suit children and also adults. I personally go there for meetings and I love their waitresses. I have made friends with one waitress who serves me every time I visit the place and she is kind. I would recommend the place for meetings for it has an indoor and outdoor space with good Wi-Fi connection.

The ambience is lovely, has nice music which lays softly as you eat and catch up. The food is great.

Its a nice, chill spot located in the first floor food court of Garden City Mall. Its very beautiful with bright colors and lots of greenery to make the place look very airy. I was there for a quick drink and loved the service we received. The cocktail wasnt as strong as I wouldve liked but it was good all the same. I did not get to try their food so I cant comment on that. They have a live band that plays on Friday evenings if Im not wrong. The sax guy was really really good. Overall its a nice joint if youre looking to have an intimate meal.

This place is a good place for some outing where meat is king. Their beef is well fried and cooked evenly. Their sauces were amazing. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Their menu was mostly local dishes with a flair of exotic cuisines. Its a good place to hang out with buddies after work.

A nice Sunday Chill out place. Especially if you like live bands...the trumpet played here will kick all the stress away and the steamy coffee escorts it.

First time was very good.. Today I brought my friend to experience the same but the food was not good at all. Very disappointed 😠 The chef has to be more consistent.

Service was good but the food was below average. The burger patty was oily, masala chips were hard and the chicken strips were salty. Also, the chicken strips are bread crumb coated.

Polite little place in one of the biggest malls, thats great for meeting up with friends and having a catch-up cup of coffee or tea. Light meals and alcoholic drinks are also available. Service can get strained when they get busy but they do their best.

Bar and restaurant. Drink menu includes cocktails, food& other beverages.. outside seating but gets cold&windy. They may need extra TV especially during football season as can pack up quickly but good foot traffic.

I frequent this spot mostly on Sundays when theres always a really cool band playing... Their food offering is also varied & tests great too but they need to go easy on salt.

It has a nice ambience and the place is cool for couples. You can take someone for a date. Their prices are moderate and they sell beer, wine and the hard stuff. Occasionally especially on Sundays there is a band that plays just outside in the sitting areas. The place has wheel chair access and the washrooms are available within the mall.

Great live music. The appetizers were small compared to the price. And the mains tasted good. The customer service was nice as the attendants are willing to listen to your query. This place fills up on Sundays.

Moca Loca restaurant & lounge is situated on Thika Road at Garden City Mall. It is the favorite hangout place for me and my people ;-).Here are a few things I love about Moca Loca1.Ambiance: Being in business, Moca Loca is my 2nd office because it has the perfect ambiance. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, lighting, some soft, calm jazzy music and a delightful marriage of antique paintings & pictures displayed on the walls. They also have an open area with some cook breeze if you dont feel like sitting inside. Overall, Moca Locas provides a perfect working environment for those whose concentration & output is 100% when working outdoors like me.2.Food: The menu is a la carte and it offers a wide variety of affordable mouth-watering dishes and beverages. And the most important part is, the food is ALWAYS FRESH...ALWAYS so you can be sure you will not get a stomach upset,...well, "unless you eat more than your stomach can handle since the food is too delicious...huh!!!"3.Entertainment: As I mentioned, on weekdays, it is a bit chilled and easy so they have this sift jazzy music which allows you to work, meet clients, talk and interact with friend easily as you enjoy your beverage or snack. However, the weekends are very vibrant, all dancy as they incorporate bands to entertain the clients. The best band in town Weavers Band performs every Saturday & Sunday at 4pm & 2pm respectively and mark you, I dont miss their performance :-)Off Side....(The service/the waiters/the owner)Well, sometimes its a pity that the service does not accompany the high quality of the food & ambiance especially when there is a large number of people. You can wait for over 15 mins before you are served and sometimes maybe due to fatigue and being overwhelmed you can hardly get a smile out of the waitresses. But thankfully the owner(Aminaand manager(Priscillah), are always around willing to exchange some kind words and ensure all is well with all their clients. I believe this is something they are working on and soon all will be well as they are people of action.(Recommendation)Despite the slow services when its very busy and chromed my friends and I have always had a pleasant dining/working & entertainment experience. For this reason I highly recommend going to Moca Loca restaurant & lounge at Garden City mall. See you there guys!!!

Great experience. The salads are fresh, had ordered a chacha chicken salad. Improvement on the burgers, the tango was more juicy. Lovely experience.

Tried it out for NRW 2018. The food was bland and overcooked. Definitely not coming back...

Food was very very bland. Kitchen Service was extremely slow but Pauline, our server, was very attentive and polite. We were in for lunch, there were approx 5 other patrons but we still had to wait for over 20 minutes for our food.Decor and ambiance is very nice. I think if they worked on their food and service for sure, theyd have good return for the prime space that they have

Beautiful ambiance , Latest black forest cravings and the mouth watering meat platter ( that is enough to share with my family or friends and of course its pocket friendly rateis what keeps me visiting moca loca!! I dare my fellow expectant moms in the same cluster of cravings to try out moca loca Garden city! Though all aint a walk in the park the ever smiling waitresses sometimes gets overwhelmed expecially when the band is performing which I seldom notice cause again am always carried off by the live perfomances!

Very lovely music...great furniture, but the worst service and food I have had in a long time. I asked for garlic steak with fries...the cutlery was wrong, the steak was over cooled, tough and was like saw dust... Literally. Ended up asking the chef over and pointed out the pitfalls of over fried steak, without any juice in it. The fries were limp and looked like they had been pre-boiled. My kid was joined me with half eaten chicken from chicken in. When I was in the washroom, she was sent away because of some policy.Super disappointed. Only time been there and probably last time. Now listening to their great music from mambo italia, since I couldnt stay after my kid was sent away.

Good place, nice ambience but I have had notably poor service episodes on more than one occasion.

Good ambiance good music with the Tamasha band. but other bands seem not to be in sync. makes it a bit distorted however musically OK. Service is up to standard. I wish i they could have Tamasha band more often

Nice chill spot, love the music. Poor customer service every time I have been there. Servers take too long and never check if you need another drink. I had to look for them to give me the check.

Service can be improved, took a while to get service. Music is pretty chill, will possibly check it out again once there is no band to get a real feel of the place. Fri jazz night or something.
