Moama Fresh Fish & Takeaway in Echuca

We grabbed some chips last night to ad to our dinner.Chips were pretty salty which is fine. However, the chips smelt like vinegar, and some had a slight vinegar taste.Fine if your into that, we arent and its didnt go very well with the rest of our meal. So the majority ended up in the bin.Id personally give it one more go because something like that could easily just be an accidental cross contamination.UPDATE: been back since & the food has been fantastic. Just caught them on an off day, happens to the best of us.

It’s a little hit and miss. Had burger and chips earlier in the week and it was awesome. Today, chips were soggy.

Nice people, had dim sims, fish and chips, the flavour was good but the chips were soggy and cold, the dim sims tasted nice but they were also cold, the fish was hot and nice apart from a large lump of uncooked flour. I would give them another chance if I was in the area. They do have an excellent Asian type grocery store with interesting items

The grilled flake was inedible unfortunately, look at the photo, it was a colour iv not ever seen on flake before and it tasted so wrong .. we couldnt eat it. The steamed dimmys actually tasted off, and were so overcooked that the skin wasnt attached but yet the inside was watery and tasted really wrong and gross. Unfortunately so bad.The chips were really yummy and cooked crispy with nice chicken salt.The battered flake was ok, edible so thats a win hahaThey had lots of things in the milk bar type shop.

Absolutely horrible service and disturbing health standards and can’t even make a normal cheeseburger properly just terrible

About 2 weeks ago I was ringing around to nearly every takeaway shop from echuca to moama to see if someone could make me a Souvalaki!! This was the only shop I could find who would make me one, as takeaway shops dont really make them anymore.So anyways I put my order in for 2 Souvalakis 6 dim sims, an 2 fish!When I went an picked my order up as I live in echuca an got home, the Souvalakis were like utter slop the bread was so soggy! An the fish was just gross, mind u I spent nearly 40 on dinner.. Will never return to this takeaway shop ever!!What a disappointment!!

Batter tasted disgusting and was thicker than the fish, not properly cooked. Overcooked everything else. Most went in the bin.The people working were lovely though.

1 star is being generous. Ordered on Good Friday and did not eat any of our order. The whole lot went in the bin. Batter was like a loaf of bread that wasn’t cooked fish was like an elastic band and inedible

Took 40 mins to get a small order. Then food was junk. Shame its gone this way.Flipn fish is just awfull

First time disgusting, fish so over cooked and burnt . Ended up in the bin.. second visit after many months, not much improved...actual the batter on fish was thick and mushy..I think there was fish in there !no thanks.. Very disappointing .

Seems to be under new management. No mushie peas or other English things any more. Bit sad.

we have had possibly the worst fish and chips ever. soggy, nearly cold, very unappetising. when we phoned to complain the person said we were told ten minute pickup, when in fact we were told thirty minutes. person said she took the order, strange it was male who actually took it. not impressed. also part of our order was missing. $40.40 badly spent.

Popped in here last week - had grilled blue grenadier and salad - a healthy option! The young lady behind the counter was most helpful - discussed the type of fish and also made up the salad for us fresh!! You dont get that service everywhere you go! Pretty good. Grilled flake and flat head was ok. Chips ok. Burger very good. Potato cakes very good.Just be careful when ordering burgers as a plain hamburger has beetroot as standard.Decent fish n chips in Moama.Havent tried delivery option but good to know its there if unable to get there.

Terrible experience on both occasions. First time my wife was put on hold for 20min on phone. Ended up going to shop in person to order. Had to explain to staff that they left the phone off hook with my wife waiting on the other end. Waited over 30min for order. 2nd visit on another Friday night and again was shafted. Phone was engaged so again went in person. Was quoted 25min order time. Waited for order and came back - was told order would be another 30min?? A joke. On both occasions you can see the other visibly angry customers. Friday night is your busy night people! Get the right staff for peak times. Moama Pizza a much better experience.

Called in advance, waited 20 mins longer than quoted. They left my order in the in the bay Marie another 5 mins after it was ready. Didnt give me the salad, called back and was offered a smalldiscount next time. Spend money elsewhere

Truly appalling service. Went in on a Friday night to a very over priced fish and chip shop with food that didnt look that great. Got told wait was 35 minutes even though shop was not busy. Waited over an hour and asked how long order would be. Was told it hadnt gone into the fryers and was still pending!!! Asked for a refund and got a gob full of abuse from the owner who said he couldnt predict how long an order would take! WTF??? Got a refund and went around the corner to Moama Pizza who had our order done in 15 minutes even though it was busy. Give this business a wide berth!
