Mo Pete's Bar & Grill - Sports bar in Flint, United States
I didnt eat here just met a friend. Not sure if Id go back to eat either....
Love this sports bar. The managers are so nice, as are the waitstaff and bartenders. The food is tasty. Full bar, cold draft beer.
Fav spot around here always delicious food. Aimee is my fav waitress she’s always attentive and has a great smile 🤩
This experience was not pleasant with my best friend whom was her 1st time. I order catfish rice and vegetable of the day. It did not look appealing. Manager came but did not offer to let me order something else.I had suggested I usually get chicken and waffles but changed. Then she proceeded to ignore me as my friend ate, whom said the rice was too dry. Her 1st visit and may not come back.
Great breakfast, great beer and bartender was wonderful. It was our first time getting "breakfast" and it was excellent. We will be back. We love Mo Petes 💕
I know Mr. Peterson very well. So, this opinion is somewhat biased on that. I LOVE this restaurant! My favorite dish to eat is the chicken and waffles. Very good. Although, like every restaurant, there are downsides. I only have two.1. The wait is kind of long especially for the dish I love.2. The menus are kind of hard to read because they are kind of scratched up.Other than that good place to eat. Great for sports. Recommended for ages 13+
Great food. Awesome environment. Our sever was in top of everything. Always making sure our drinks were always filled and if we needed anything. Very impressed for a first time experience. Highly recommended. Loved it here.
This place is a “hidden gem” in Flint. Best food around and the wait staff is always friendly and courteous. The food and service you get for the price, is unbelievable. If looking for a change from the everyday “normal” dining, highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed
Terrible service, food came out at different times. Half the table was finished eating before the rest of the tables food even came out. Food was good, but we won’t be back, felt ignored all night.
This place is great! Cant believe I waited so long to go here. You get alot of food for the money. 1/2 off apps on Wednesday after 8pm and all day Thursday.
Good food, the spartan nachos are hugh! 3 of us shared them and still had left overs. The magic fries are good too. Havent had any complaints
We ordered 3 orders of wings and a platter. We never received the platter. And we had to wait over an hour for drinks, it was only 2 ppl making drinks. We got our food before our drinks: 2 moscatos and a margarita. They were overwhelmed but should schedule accordingly. The waitress was nonchalant with her "sorry."
bartenders and kitchen staff are allowed to talk down to servers. Servers had to ASK multiple times for drinks to be made. The actual Owner was very nice as well as manager/bartender Gary, he made great drinks and was willing to specialize food and drinks for customers. Wait staff was friendly and food was good.
Came in for lunch on a Thursday. I had the March Madness burger and my partner had the National Champ 1979/2000 sandwich. Both were pretty good. The burger was supposed to be medium rare and came out well done. Chips were a tasty salt & pepper type. Other than being out of Diet Coke it was a pleasant lunch.
The food we tried was so-so given the price. The service was worse, having to call the waitress over to place our order, get boxes for leftovers, and even the bill. Atmosphere was good, and will go back to try other did again before writing it off.
Had amazing food and customer service! Our waitress Alexis was very kind, polite, and timely. Ive never had a better experience at a restaurant. The whole staff was friendly, they all greeted us when we entered and exited the building. The fried pickles and potato skins really hit the spot, too 😊
One of Flints newest happening Sports Bar and Grill!! Wide selection of appetizers, adult beverages and great burgers..T.V.s everywhere to enjoy your favorite sport programs....
Mo Pete’s Bar and GrillService: Took about three minutes from the time we sat down until we were approached by a server. Our server was new and seemed quite friendly. As of this writing, they do not have large print or Braille menus. The staff did their utmost to go above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with everything.Atmosphere: Nice location with plenty of windows on the North side. Seating accommodates maybe 75 people if you include the bar. 12 screens featuring various sports broadcasts along with a few dedicated to news. Very lively crowd, we were eating dinner during a birthday party so it was quite festive. It’s a nice spot and the plethora of natural lighting really makes you feel comfortable.Food: The Spartan nachos were made with crisp, fresh vegetables though the tortilla chips did not appear to be homemade like the menu advertised. After an inquiry, so as not to imply false advertising in my review, I was told that they were indeed not homemade but that they were in the process of getting new menus clarifying that point. The queso was nice and creamy with a little kick, but not enough to run anyone away from the table unless you’re lactose intolerant like me. I had my partner taste the queso for me, though the kitchen hid a bit under the bed of chips. The taco salad was good, but the real stars of the show were the chicken tender stingers and the Pineapple upside-cake margarita. Both were stunningly unique and high quality. I’m a fan of the spices and extra dash of garlic on the chicken tender stingers. The Pineapple upside-down cake margarita was fantastic, capturing a tipsy version of the classic dessert. I have it on good authority that I should have ordered their New Orleans Catfish, and on my next visit I absolutely will.
Went last night for the game. Atmosphere was good, and congested. The waitress was amazing ,the food was good. Just had a salad and a few margaritas. If you are going for a sports event, go early to get a table. It can get loud.
I ate Mo Pete for the first time and when I say it worth it, it was really worth it. The customer service was amazing and the food was great and the service was fast!!! If you haven’t been yet I’ll definitely recommend trying it out.
Good, food and friendly staff, but this place is managed poorly. The service is slow, even when they arent busy. So if youre okay with that, you will like this place for lunch. But, on busy sports nights, they do not put on enough staff to keep up with the customers. Its March Madness, the place is packed wall to wall, and only two servers, who though completely overwhelmed, remain cheery and fun. But, if the place is packed when you walk in, you will wait at least an hour for food and nearly that much to get a drink, if you get it after the first time you order it. In short, go some place else.If a manager cant staff their sports bar properly, on a night when there is a MAJOR mainstream sports event, thats a really bad sign.Apart from the slow service and under staff problems, the atmosphere is really good here. The menu is diverse enough and everything is good. Ruebens, burgers, wings amd nachos, all the sports staples are here and the salads are good too.
Food is always good. But this is the second time this place was unable to serve me my drink of choice as they were out. The waitress was rude, as i was trying to decide on what i wanted she walked away. Had a poor attitude the whole time we were there.
Great food, great staff!!! :DWe will definitely be back!
The food is amazing and the bar is beautiful. Clean atmosphere perfect for any game day. Great menu and prices for the ultimate sports fan, or drink fan.
My first time here was about a week or two i ordered a ribeye steak & instead of the cook telling the waitress they were out he justcook a new york strip & she said to him it was wrong he told her to give it to her anyway i was sitting at the bar looking Because it took to long. I wont be back either
We got a waitress that was very rude and had an attitude problem. We ordered off the menu and they didnt even have the items. They make Morris Peterson look bad and they will ruin his good reputation with true "Flintstones" who like and appreciate his hospitality.
Seems like the staff is all over the place. Prices literally went up after the first drink like who the F does that. Lucky I even paid. Wont be back. Waitresses either seem waxed out on pills or completely uninterested in their job. Like this fool took my order and then went on break right in front of us went over and sat down and ate all while we sat at the bar and never put our order in until after her break. No point getting the manager he was already right there. Typical Flint BS but I mean damn
Great atmosphere, food & drinks! Everyone was super nice (servers, managers & Morris himself!even though they were very busy. Well be back.
First time visit and for the first 10 minutes of sitting we were not waited on and was getting a little frustrated at first but manager came up and apologized and said we are short handed big time today.....im grabbing a waiter for you. Manager came back and kept checking up on us. We received good service and the server went out of his way. Food was great as well and I tried the catfish and it wasnt overly breaded and just perfect. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you are at Genesee Valley mall and looking for somewhere to eat after.
First time in and was really impressed! Place was neat and clean with a great atmosphere! Food was excellent and reasonably priced! Service was really good too! Left full and will be back for more! Great job Morris! I know it took a while but you got it right! Congrats my friend!
Visited three times. All three times the food was disappointing. The taco salad I had today was disgusting, the only thing I like here are the vodka and cranberry drinks I ordered. Veronica the waitress was nice, but the food here has to get better if they hope to survive or just turn it into a full pledge bar full-time.My wife had a cheeseburger and was displeased as well. If I come back it will only be to drink a few cocktails and eat somewhere else.
This was my first time here, as I actually didnt even know it was there (less than 2 miles from house). Food was solid. Onion rings were actually great. Service was prompt. Only frustrating thing for me was... Its a SPORTS BAR. I had to ask to get the Monday night football game on, and the red wings game was also not on. I feel like Im an annoying customer when I have to ask for the right things to be on the TV when I go to a sports bar. But Ill be back. The food was pretty good... Atmosphere was good... And they got the game on for me quickly.
9/21/18Came here for the first time ever today as I had seen it in passing while shopping and it looked interesting.Atmosphere-Went in the afternoon so the place wasnt packed. Sat myself raighf away and had my order taken a good 4 minutes later. Probably should have been a little sooner because it wasnt that busy but Im not picky on this and have ample patience. Sports on every TV, Top 40s type music in the background. Best part was that the place was very clean. My only complaint about the atmosphere would be the annoying fly that pestered me. But these things cant always be helped, so it doesnt really effect my rating.Staff-My waitress Yaya was very nice and prompt. I actually ended up getting my food within 7 to 10 minutes of ordering so that was nice. Probably would have reflilled the drinks faster but again, this did not effect my rating. Big takeaway is that she was nice and I didnt have to wait all day for service.Food/Pricing-Heres where my rating comes in the most. I ordered a standard burger. Medium well, chedder cheese, lettuce, onions and waffle fries (cost a little more). Fries were great. Kind of seasoned the way curly fries are but not as brash. And you get a lot of them. Burger looked great at first glance. Had their logo stamped on the bun, presentation was definitely an A+.My problem was when I actually started eating the burger. I asked for medium well and got medium rare. Wasnt a big enough deal for me to send it back but there are people out there who will rage over any amount of pink they see. When I bit into it was still smoky as well. I couldnt use my hands to eat the burger. When I picked it up grease dripped out of it and it fell apart. The grease part was the least appetizing and the lettuce was caked in it. I ate it with a knife and fork to compensate. The temperature and grease were my biggest culprits for the rating. I also had a Coke. A tad watered down, but just a tad. Wasnt bad enough to stop drinking but enough for me to notice.A standard 1/2 lb burger, waffle fries, and a Coke came to 15.62. Would I say the price was justified for what I got? Ill go 50/50 on that. Yes because of the portion sizes, no because Ive had better cooked burgers at Applebees. All and all though, everything did taste fine. Nothing was overtly gross or anything and I left feeling full in a decent amount of time. Perhaps Ill have to come back another time and try another dish.
Jazmyn our server was very friendly, However a training program is lacking. Flies were terrible and lighting and buzzing all around. I would go back but get rid of the fly situation. Filthy and unsanitary. March madness burger 🍔 was great!
We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is soooo good, the prices are fair, and the restaurant is clean. Thanks for setting roots in Flint. We love it! FYI: best Cosmo I have ever had.
Waitresses are very nice food taste worst ever. Cooks are garbage. They must not care about food quality. I give it a bad review cause the cooks are slopping stuff together and food is very low quality for the price. I will never eat there again. Waist of money. Get mo cooks cause the ones u got know are gonna get u. No mo customers.
I waited for a long time to be able to try this and I finally had the chance this afternoon. Overall I was pleased. Service was respectful and quality. I had a delicious burger which is extremely filling at 1/2 pound for the single ones. Fries were ok, I dont think you should have to pay extra for them, but they are not outrageously expensive either so it is not the end of the world. To be honest, for a sports type restaurant, I would have rather been able to listen to the Tigers game than the music. I will most likely come back though, it is a nice place to come to kill some time and get some food if I am going to be at the mall for a longer period of time. I appreciate having Michigan represented pretty well in the place even though the owner is a former Spartan. Like I said, I will be back at some point and it is worth checking out.
I just want to know who cant cook bacon for a BLT..first time here, bar was beautiful, tasteful for a diverse crowd, and the R&B was amazing as its usually hard to find, but the food was not good. Started with beers and salads, decent..then went to chicken and waffles and my BLT. Right away I noticed a strange smell, thought it was my S.O. plate, but it was the bacon. It smelled and tasted like the grill had never been cleaned. Waitress was great, had the manager discount my meal, but unfortunately completely turned off to ordering food here again.
Ordered 2 shots of cognac on the rocks with lemon/lime when bill came got charged xtra 2$ for on the rocks...dont understand that. The bartender/manager states I shouldve ordered shot with a side of ice...who does that. She stated a lot of ppl have c/o about that.. lost my business will not be back..lets do better black business
Great food and great service. I had the traditional chicken wings to start and the pulled pork sandwich with fries and I couldnt make it through the fries. My only complaint is the UofM Ohio State and Nebraska decorations. Apart wouldNOT approve
My experience at Mo Pete’s was horrible. While eating the dumpling soup I felt something sharp in my mouth. It was a very small piece of metal. It looked like a staple 😡. The manager didn’t make me pay for my meal once he seen the small piece of metal. I then left with my girlfriend who didn’t finish her meal as well due to the incident.
We went with the family on a Friday evening. The food was good and the atmosphere was cool. The service was very slow. It was next to impossible to get a drink They also brought our food out all at different times over a 15 minute period. I will try it again.
My wife and I were first timers Saturday evening. The first waitress was abrupt and unfriendly when taking out drink order. When my wife ordered a Pinot Noir she was curtly told "Ive never heard of that!"The next waitress (Amandatold us the one taking our drink order was just filling in to help out. This second waitress was pleasant and helpful. Our drinks and dinners were very well prepared and we enjoyed the service. As we left I commented to the hostess, "Have a nice evening!" To which no reply or acknowledgement was given. Overall, good food and service by Amanda, however, the same cant be said of the other staff we encountered!
Great vibe of a neighborhood bar - not too large, lots of TVs, bright and airy. Food was great (I opted for The Izzo, a massive Italian suband the service was excellent. A bit off the beaten path near the inner entrance to the Genessee Valley mall, but once you find it, lots of parking and easy in/out.
We went last week and I was very impressed compared to the rumors I had been hearing. In fact only reason we came is bc bar Louie had a wait so figured we’d give the new place a try. To my surprise The food was delicious, quick, hot, the MI cherry chicken salad was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I at first though will say I was confused as to why our waitress seemed so busy when there was hardly anybody in there, but the manager Kala was highly attentive, checked on us a few times, to get us more napkins, refills and even re made my drink and it was much better, the 4 other people we were with were also impressed, we will most definitely be back! Congrats Mo!!!
This is my 2nd time coming here and Im not please at all. The waitress are kind and friendly, but I cant say the change for the food. I order the Honey Golden Chicken its a half on a chicken the pieces were so small. I could tell the difference between the breast or thigh. The leg look like it was from off a hen. My partner order tge salmon with corn not to much better. The food taste like it precooked. The hamburger was ok, but not for 10.
My father and I visited the restaurant and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Celena was timely and polite, she checked on us multiple times during our visit. Food was also delicious. I ordered their chocolate cake, it didn’t come as warm as I would have liked but it was very good. My dad ordered their March Madness Burger he enjoyed it as well. Definitely will come again.
The food was excellent and timely, however it seemed my waitress was absent every time that i needed something to the point where i had ro get another watress to refill my water. I struggled to give this place a 4 because of the service but its was average but it makes up for it with location and atmosphere.
We were highly disappointed!!! First of all it took too long for someone to even come to our table to ask us if we wanted drinks...nd it wasnt busy. Then we get our food and my husband ordered the catfish and was not happy with it and the tiny piece of corn that came with it was complete mush. After we left here, he had to go get something to eat because he was still hungy!!! I doubt I will ever go back. It also was not very comfortable in there either!
Great food.... sports... friendly atmosphere.. great service.. and alot of TVs!!!! Great location and the best chicken and waffles! So much to choose from on the menu. Highly recommended place to stop in, you will go back!
