I was there to a shoot a ceremony of respect for a groups elder professor/teacher, the setting was in there back room, a traditional Japanese tea room. The experience was amazing, after the shooting we all sat and had Dinner, the colors and the flavors were exquisite. Who would have known that true Asian culture like this was right there in praha. This is the 1st time I have had Japanese food while Czechia, I believe my next visit will be sooner than later.

Very good service! The tatami room is interesting and quiet. The food is of high quality. As an Asian, I have to say this is an excellent Japanese restaurant.

As an exhausted traveller I cannot appreciate you enough for the tranquil and soothing ambience in the tatami room. For a while I can forget about next itinerary and focus on eating. The minimal (in a good senseyet adequate and mindful service is just want I need for the day.The cooked dishes are a bit salty for my taste (in general I found food in Prague too salty), but overall its a very comforting experienceLast but not least thank you for running out to bringing me my forgotten cellphone

One of ONLY 2 AUTHENTICJapanese restaurants in Prague! Absolutely delicious as well as a visual feast for the eyes. Service as it should be, in a tranquil and Japanese setting. Whilst the prices arent cheap, theyre reasonably affordable. Highly recommended. *UPDATE: The menu has changed a lot and prices are way up!

Very nice tatami area. It feels like a private room. Very impressive. Garden seating is nice but lacks Japanese decor. Food is good.

Top Japanese restaurant in Prague - well above average. For a special experience I recommend booking a table where you sit on tatami mats rather than on chairs. Staff are friendly and speak English very well. Not very cheap, but not exceptionally expensive either, and well worth it for the experience.

Top japanese restaurant . If you visit Prague you must try this true taste of authentic japanese kitchen and you will be amazed. I have visited this place twice, for lunch and dinner. Bento box for lunch was delicious, with light crispy tempura and hand made wasabi. Try nigiri with tuna marinated with black beer and if you are very hungry get a teriyaki chicken with nice tasty sauce. This is the oldest Japanese restaurant in town, it is a family business and chef learn cooking in Japan.

After visiting amd tasting the Japanese stmosphere in the center of Prague, I was left for a several days, without any opportunity to break away from it, amazed by the such beatiful and indescribably taste of this place and its cuisine.

A very appealingly designed place which supports the feeling of authenticity. The food, unfortunately, was quite lacklustre, which with the prices in mind, will make you feel like you are paying for the experience rather than for the food.

Everything was wrong from the beginning. Restaurant presents itself as Japanese authentic, but reality, it is not any close to true. During the evening the waitress was unable to recommend anything, she never asked anything nor offer anything “just food messenger”. She had no clue what is on the menu, instead she gave us the book of pictures to choose what we want to order. How can someone employ waitress like this? Waiting time: we placed the order at the same time as other table of 2 people and were waiting over an hour, but the other table got it in 20-30min. Taste of the sushi is absolutely not fresh as they present. The taste is exactly the same as sushi boxes from supermarket just 4x more expensive. Philadelphia cheese was tasting like "Lucinka from can" without additional seasoning - simply making it for fine dining rather than just cheese on fish. The most unacceptable and frustrating was the bone I had in nigiri sushi caused me bleeding from gum (see in picture). We have eaten possibly half of it and yet were asked to pay it although with some discount and deducted cost for one of the set where there was the bone. I said to my wife screw it and never come back again. My personal recommendation never ever visit this restaurant, there are far better options in Prague.

If you love Japanese food, you will love this restaurant. They have amazing decor where you will feel like in Japan. The food is delicious.Just be prepared that its bit pricey (as every Japanese restaurant here), but you will gladly spend your money here.

Food was OK, price reasonable

Fantastic food, great staff both friendly and knowledgeable. When I return to Praha I will be coming here again. Though next time I will definitely take the opportunity to book the tatami seating to fit the amazing Japanese cuisine offered here. Sake selection is good too. Cannot recommend enough for lovers of Japanese food.

One of the best (if not the bestAsian restaurants in Prague. Not the cheapest, but for good stuff you have to pay a bit more. The service is friendly and explains everything you need to know about the food. The food is fantastic!

Overpriced mediocre sushi. Tourist trap. I asked for sushi combination without cucumber, the waiter said okay and then I got a combination which had a lot of cucumber. It costed me 1100ck and it was barely enough. The picture menu didnt have prices just to confuse.

Probably best sushi in Prague, wide choice, feels super fresh and tasty, not too cold but just fine. Looking forward to get back and try different stuff. For those with hypermobility issue, book table on tatami, which intensifies whole experience. Staff is very kind and professional. Quality over quantity.

Great place to enjoy traditional japanese cuisine.Just to know a little before going to Miyabi is that this place is little above average for prices but they have a great quality and variety of foods and drinks and also the service is really nice.This place is also really good for people with any experience with japanese cuisine, the service gladly explains about the dishes and drinks before you order.Once your order arrives, service will explain more in detail about the dish.One more plus for this restaurant is that they also provide tatami seatings, not only standard chair/table sitting. I myself a tatami enthusiast, so I enjoyed very much my stay in this restaurant.I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

The prices arent too bad, but the food was really good.We didnt have reservations, but we were still able to get a table on a Saturday night.The serves was good, our waiter was really nice.And the location isnt bad either, there is a few bars across the street so you can hop over after youre done eating.

As a sushi cook and a frequent traveller to Japan, I would not recommend this place.If you are looking for authentic Edomae sushi, this is not a place to find. I ordered miso soup, ebi tempura, those dishes were ok, but very disapointed with sushi quality. The "zumeshi" or vinegrated rice was way too sour, there was too much rice in the "neta", not mentioning the "neta" or rice was not properly squeezed. Very moderate choice of nigiri sushi.I would also recommend the owner to change the type of rice they are cooking. Quality wise it was ok and the owner payed tremendous attention to design, but I came for good sushi, which I did not get here.

Went here for lunch in two. The atmosphere was really nice and tastefully decorated. We had the sushi & sashimi menu. Though we were served some nice (but lukewarmJapanese tea while we waited, we were disappointed to wait 45min for our meal to arrive. The miso soup was delicious, the sashimi was mixed. Salmon was good but octopus was overly fishy. Sadly the sushi rolls were mostly filled with avocado and left us wanting more. Overall we were a bit underwhelmed by the quality of the sushi here. Though the prices were very reasonable (~15 eur), we probably wouldnt come back, or if we do at least try the non-sushi menu option.

Before going you should know that its a pricey restaurant but the food is good. Our problem was the waiting time. There were only two other couples and they were already eating, so we could not understand how they could take so much time. Once they served us (after waiting for a long timethey had forgotten one salad so we asked the waitress and she apologized and told us it would be out in one or two minutes. It took them 15 minutes to prepare it (cant remember the name but it was a simple salad with lettuce, tomato and some sauce). If she had told us it would take so much we would have cancelled the order, since when it arrived we werent hungry anymore.Service was good but we were in the restaurant around 2 hours (and it wasnt because we took a long time eating).

In my humble opinion, the best Japanese restaurant in Prague, great food, very fresh, very tasty. The food isn’t limited to sushi and comprises bentō as well as other typical dishes. An amazing ambiance and a good break in the city center, for an old and authentic place. Plus side, you can take sushi courses in there !

Really really really awesome food! Some of the best sushi Ive ever had! 🍣 As a starter, I had fried salmon, which was super tasty, and as a main course I had the Tokyo platter. For Prague, the prices are rather high, but its worth your money for sure 😉

pleasant environment. Its not the best Japanese food in Prague but it was very good. The price was normal in the center of Prague, not too much, but not cheap. Lunch for two (bento boxes + drinks and startersaround 50 euros. But overall, its nice place to visit!

This is one of the worst places Ive been in Prague. Waiting 2 hours for a meal is absolutelty not acceptable! Also, its too expensive for the quality and the size of the food. Save your money for someting better.
