A casual Italian restaurant with brick-oven pizzas, wines by the glass & outdoor seating.
The worst service ever. The waitress took our order but didn’t actually put it in. We wasted more than 30 mins but nothing is served. Not even water. We had to go and check with them to realized that nothing has been put in
Quick service and friendly staff! Always nice to have vegetarian options and yummy drinks !
Very disappointing. Will definitely not be back. After waiting ages, the food was average to below average. Drink came in a paper cup.
Great bar and customer service. The pizza is affordable and very solid for the price.
Would suggest you drop in on this gem, has a great selection of beverages and a great food line up with their own signature twist.
NO AIR CONDITIONING scheduled a party here and they dont bother to mention they have no air. Owner is a joke. Food was either burnt or cold.
Honestly, so very disappointed. We made a reservation for a large group (25ppl)work event 2 weeks in advance for this passed Wed (7/27), confirmed not only 24 hrs prior, but also 1 hr before arrival, and were never told the air conditioning in the area we were being made to sit in, had been broken for also the last 2 weeks. When approached about the situation, I was met with negative attitude, and avoidance from not only the manager, but also the owner as well. The only staff member that seemed genuinely concerned about our party was one of our wait staff, Cameron. Thank you again Cameron! Food was average at best. Somethings made well, others came out burnt. I understand things happen, but clearly the management is not professional enough to at least provide the common courtesy of informing patrons properly of such a major inconvenience. Just sad.
Great staff! Very friendly and helpfull. 10/10 would recommend!
We walked in on a sunday evening for dinner. Great place and friendly staff.Good quality drinks with quite a few options. The food was great too. The pizza was freshly made and had a nice thin crust. The creole chicken dish was delicious and seasoning was on point. Would definitely recommend it.
We stumbled upon this place during a visit to Philly. The drinks and food were great. Get the ultimate cheese steak if you like spicy. The chicken Shawarma was a favorite of my daughter. Drinks were cold.I gave 4 stars because we were in the end of the restaurant opposite the bar and the air conditioning was either not working or not turned on. The bar was cool, but it was very hot at the other end where we were eating. I was perspiring from my forehead while having a meal which was uncomfortable. It was 93° in Philly.
Stopped in after visiting a local museum, only one server for multiple indoor and outdoor tables, and he was obviously overwhelmed. The first beer he brought me was not what I ordered, but that was quickly remedied. My childs food came out way ahead of the rest of the party. Then, two hot chicken sandwiches came out, before the cold, chicken Caesar wrap....which we had to ask for multiple times only to have the delay blamed on the kitchen. When we asked the third time, with the intention of canceling the order, the server said it was being made at that moment. Sadly, we still waited and finally said to forget it (I ate my kids leftover pizza and fries). It was presented to us, and comped (as it should be), and in turn we feda local person experiencing homelessness. This place needs more staff....and they need to be much more attentive. The others seemed happy with their lunch, but considering our overall experience, I will not return, nor will I recommend to anyone else.
Great place for a casual meal … lunch or dinner.Their pizzas are really good, but if you want a shock … go for the chicken shawarma sandwich or the ultimate mix chz steak (both of those bat way outside their weight class). Also, their falafel plate is fabulous.
Great pizza and they pour a good drink!
Great pizza — they put garlic on the pizza at the end of cooking it so even when you get to the crust, its like eating garlic bread. Super tasty. This is actually the only place where I eat the pizzas crust because it isnt bland. The bartenders mix the drinks super well. The alcohol isnt the primary taste in the drinks. Bless the employees who work here ❤️
Our server was wonderful. The ultimate nachos are amazeballs. We come here every time were in town.
The pizza was warm not hot.The lady at the register was not that nice.I asked for ketchup and she said its in the bag 3 packs for a full order of fries. So I had to get up and ask the bartender for ketchup.
Good ambiance sport bar/great happy hour menu/fresh pizza
Server was nice and attentive. Cute area outside to eat. Food was good as well.
Probably the best BLT Ive had. Fries were good too!
Love this place! The food was amazing, the service is great, definitely my favorite place to hang out with friends!!
I don’t leave reviews too often but this is my favorite restaurant/bar, hands down. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The owner is a quality, genuine person who would give the shirt off his back for a complete stranger.
I came in needing a place with WI-FI to get an important project done. The woman in the front confirmed they had Wi-Fi so I sat and ordered only to see I couldn’t get on the Wi-Fi. I asked my waitress and she said couldn’t help me. I asked the bartender , he gave me a password but it still wasn’t working. When I went back to my server in desperate need - she seemed inconvenienced and so I asked if there was someone else who could help and then came back to say no one can help me. It was very frustrating because I would not have ordered if I knew the wifi would have been an issue. To top it off - creole chicken was bland.
Ohh ,ima Fan, took my fiancé from Delaware and shes in love with the chicken wings, big ole juicy 😋 wings maynee! Got me the grilled chicken sammich and dam ,real grilled chicken is always 👌🏿 🔥 the win 🏆. We shall return.
i liked the pizza enough, but they lost my credit card :D and were not very helpful in trying to find it.
i went to mix today. they severed me raw chicken. when i asked for a refund they kept insisting that they’d just make me more wings. i told them several times i just want my money back because i’m disgusted. the lady turned around and walked away in the middle of our conversation because she was upset i wanted my money back. i was never even apologized to. i do not recommend this place. these people are rude and have no respect. i’m also reporting this to the health department i am highly i unsatisfied.
We had a really nice server. Food and drinks were good during happy hour.
Do not bother with this place! Awful! We waited over 45mins for our food in an almost empty dining room. Our appetizer came with our food. My sons food was wrong and my husbands food didnt even come until we asked for it. The waitress didnt care at all when we asked where the food was (both times)! Horrible!!!
I order from this place a lot and love it. Their pizza is one of my favorites in Philly. I also love their eggplant parm, and my friend loves the chicken parm. Delivery is fast, too, when you go directly through them and not an app. Highly recommend.
Local draft beers, great service, incredible pizza, good music.
I had the ranch wings for a snack and they were pretty good. My wife had a pear and goat cheese salad and she really liked hers as well. Service was slightly slow but the waitress was absolutely swamped so that wasnt her fault. Overall a pretty good place for food.
Delicious food! Decent portion, fast service.
I go here frequently. The food is really good, the servers are always nice, and its a great place to get a beer at the end of the day. I havent had anything here I didnt like!
Stopped in for some dinner and was really impressed. Good outdoor and indoor set up...food was amazing. Had the fettuccine with chicken and broccoli. Yum! Service was great and so nice! Enjoyed it and will be back.
Try the happy hour! Great deals on draft beer, wine, and bar food! Their cocktail menu is also great. French 44 is great if youre feeling something different
Wow. Read delivery reviews. Took 1 hour and 55 minutes. You read that correctly....for pizza 2 hours. And got here and ice cold. And look how it arrived. Stay away
Still waiting for a pizza for 1.5 hours on a Monday night. I live not even half a mile from this place. I would avoid getting delivery at all costs! This happened to me once before and wanted to give them another shot to earn my business. I will not be ordering from them again!
My daughter and I took a trip to walk around the city. We got hungry and spotted this place, so we decided to try it out! We were not disappointed. We got the brick oven pizza, it was divine. We also got a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and we were pleased it was made with real marinated chicken. Our waitress was pleasant and very attentive. Atmosphere super relaxed. We ate indoors. Restrooms were also very clean. I would absolutely eat here again and recommend it to others.
loved their options of outside seating! Pizza was great and the salad was fresh! Good drink options too! Will definitely be returning next time Im in the area.
The food and the service was excellent!! Our.server was the best. We.ordered so much food because it had been so long since we dined out. Looking forward to the reheat! Definitely returning. Thank you Mix Bar!
Weve been here many, many times and have never written a review. So: The chicken parm is great and a bargain; the burgers are incredibly tasty and generous in size; today we had an onion pizza and you cant believe how fast that box was empty! I love that it is only a block away from home, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is consistently good.
The server just seemed irritated with us the entire time, before we even got to order or anything.I got the chicken quesadilla and it was good, but the salsa was disgusting.I also ordered the French 44 cocktail (gin, vodka, strawberry lemonade, sparkling wine). It was very refreshing and delicious. I could have drank 6 of them!
Perfect spot for a quick slice or outdoor drinks - alone or with friends. All the pizza options are excellent at a great price. Love the availability of single slices - paired with garlic knots and delicious appetizers. Grab a table for an outdoor drink during happy hour with 1-5 friends.I lived in the apartment building above and was lucky to have Mix as my regular spot to unwind and meet the neighbors.
Waiters first night and he was a total sweetheart. Right down the street from my buds place with wonderful pizza and an excellent Chicken Diablo sandwich!
INCREDIBLE from start to finish! Delicious, hot food in large portions (plan to share!delivered unbelievably quickly by a very friendly driver. Im still in awe at the efficiency of service and quality of food at Mix. Well, well done!! Thank you!
Mix has my favorite brick oven pizza- ever. Hands down. I will choose their pizza over any other meal in the city, especially at happy hour prices. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is I feel as though the owner hires young, somewhat oblivious staff members with little to no experience in a restaurant setting. We went in one night and they were sitting around watching Harry Potter with surround sound, then changed it to blaring music that we had to ask to be turned down because we could hardly hear each other (several other times the music was blaring as well). With the right employees and management this place could be one of the hottest places in town. Unfortunately, it’s been progressively declining each time we go, though the food is always phenomenal and keeps us coming back. Please take this into consideration for the future success of your business!
Service and cuisine was incredible!!! Our bartender, who spoke beautiful Italian was such a charm. He was very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Beware, the garlic knots are massive and delicious! Cheesecake was phenomenal and I usually don’t prefer brick oven pizza but it was delicious. Cocktails were made with flare right in front of us. Would give it 10 stars if I could. Will definitely be back!
This awesome pizza establishment was recently renovated with a fresh new look and feel. They have amazing varieties of pizza as well as other delicious menu items that cannot be found anywhere else (or nearby). The new bar structure favors a better happy hour experience. This place has been a favorite as I used to live around the corner, but recently it has gotten better and better.
Great pizza selection, excellent seating, and a decent beer menu. The food coming from the kitchen all smelled amazing. I will definitely be coming back to try one of the cheese steaks and many more slices.
Upon entering The Mix, I noticed how clean everything was and was promptly greeted by a friendly waitress. Our waiter helped us pick what he thought was best on the menu including: The Ultimate Cheese Steak, Pear Salad, and Pizza by the slice. All of which was amazing! The slices of pizza are HUGE and the Cheese steak was the best we had in Philadelphia. Overall, great experience and only $35 for 4 people.
This is the salad I wanted 40 mins for and had to ask for the red onion and dressing due to the fact that they forgot it after taking 40 mins to make it :( and it looks more like a old sales that has been sitting in a fridge not something that takes 40 mins to make 🤮
