Mithaiwala in Auckland

Terrible burfi. If you’re going to indulge in burfi, it needs to be creamy and milky, and this was a weird crumbly texture and definitely not made with butter/ghee. Staff uninterested and unfriendly.

The butter panned was too sweet and oily. The naan bread was also undercooked. Not acceptable. This place seems to have changed for worse.

Totally unacceptable! The Naan was completely undercooked and doughy. Ordered the thali and everything went waste due to the Naan. I hope theyll improve their quality of food after seeing this.

-1 star is less too.Went for lunch with friends, first the service was too slow. The guy at the counter is not even sure what’s in menu - ordered indo Chinese platter - totally pathetic. Chole bhatoore - chole was not even cooked properly. Took one kids meal - rice too cold and kadai paneer was not fresh. Asked the guy to taste it and he was like the chef is owner today and if owner doesn’t know to how cook food. Guy was just sorry and didn’t bother getting owner to speak to.

awsome taste compared to mithai express and quantity is superb. especially their momos made of paneer is toooo goood and all the food is verybtasty 🔥👌

The combination of Mithaivala with Uber gave me horrible experience.What went wrong -- Delivery was not on time- No spoon and tissues in the parcel, even after specifying while ordering on Uber app- Mithaivala blaming to Uber driver for not providing cutleries- very poor packaging. Packed in plastic container while food was still hot. The wrapper on container was sticked completely. Mithaiwala should provide scissor or blade to cut it.With honesty, the food was very good and sufficient for light lunch.The phone representative from Mithaiwala said NZ’s magic word ‘sorry’ almost 10 times - not sure if he really meant it.Anyway…enjoy your next meal with your own risk….All the best.

An amazing place where you find not only Indian sweet but also you get chance to enjoy delicious dishes. I like this place which serve various Indian Curries which are made with paneer, cream, vegetable and spices.Moreover, you can test instant fast food such as Samosa chat, papdi chat, Pau bhai, Sole bhature, Samosa pav and Vada pav.So, I like to visit place over and over to enjoy testy foods.

This place is a little gem. Very reasonable prices, generous portions, tasty spicy Indian food, snappy service, right in the middle of k Road, well definitely be coming back. Staff are very friendly too and very accommodating. Extra improvement points if they start putting out cold water or keep it in a fridge.

The food taste like a trash. The kachoori chat is tasteless and when i taste it i feel like i am eating the food which has been preserved from decades.Not worthy to spend bucks.Never recommend to anyone.:((((((

1 star because it is the 3rd time that they gave me wrong item. I have been thier customer for a long time now and this type of things should not happen 3 times. Also they lack communication, when you dont have the items which a customer orders make sure you contact them immediately. Today as well I ordered 3 curries but recieved 2 wrong curries. No communication at all from thier side. I did what I had to do, filed a complaint on Uber eats.

I ordered Veg Biryani yesterday and it was looked like a vegetable pulao. I was like really and raita they provided with it was just very sour and I think it smells like if they used last weeks curd to make it. Not recommending. Dont buy it

This place is total rip off in terms of sweets… i ordered few sweets. First of all the motichur laddoo n milk cake were kept in one bag (all messed up)… secondly instead of chamcham they gave me petha (north indian sweetdipped in sugar syrup…. Not at all acceptable for an indian… Mithaiwala stop fooling people, n especially locals here who trust you for what indian food is…. Guys trust me Mithaiwala CBD doesnt serve authentic indian food… they just fool you…. Sad sad sad

Last week we had terrible customer service where the older gentleman serving was rude, didnt listen and assumed a random man behind us in a cap was an Uber. Despite this we went back today and there was noone at the counter. We rang the bell the same man came out blowing his nose on a very small and well used tissue. He then proceeded to offer to serve us without washing or sanitising and holding the tissue. We left instead.

Very ideal place for Indian food. I love the food and at a very affordable range with great service ❤

03/08/2021 order from menulog .Was a rip-off.Please see the attached photos for the portion size of large Curry box. Another photo enclosed 7 small cubes of paneer, thats all came in large Curry box. Curry was watery runny , tasteless.Regular customer for Mithaiwala , have never experienced this before. We know what their portion size is like.Samosa chat is stinking. After heating up entire lounge area is smelling foul.Photos enclosed, food went straight to rubbish bin.

Nice authentic Indian food.

We got 2 Medium Thali with 2 Naan and 3 Currys and Rice. The Naan was fresh, the curries however tasted bland, salty and like they had been sitting in a warmer all day. We waited for about 15 minutes for our food to arrive and for it to be Luke warm was disappointing. Would not return unfortunately.

Loved the Indian food, value for money, good size portion, thoroughly enjoyed the taste and the food. Will surely go back for more. Screen also plays latest Bollywood songs - adds to the ambience 👍👍

Mithaiwala is one of the best places in Auckland I have ever been for Indian Snacks. It’s not far from the city and always serves with best quality food.I would definetly recommend trying their Chole Bhatura, Samosa chaat and ofcourse the new addition to the menu, Daal bati.

I love Mithaiwala Indian cuisine, friends and family are always welcome here! Always enjoy the rich indian culture that this lovely restaurant has bestowed in its walls.Without a doubt butter Paneer and garlic naan is always the way to go!!!!

Most authentic Indian food Ive eaten in auckland. The food is simply delicious and super affordable. Weather you choose to dine in or even decide to get take out, food tastes super fresh. Its prices are really great for the quantity they serve and always puts me in a food coma right after which I dont regret. The service is pretty fast as well and the place is well maintained. If youre looking for a quick bite and nothing too fancy then this is your place

This place is pretty delicious. Nice mix of south and north Indian, chaat, sweets, indo Chinese. Dahi puri was lit. Very inexpensive as well. You can easily fill yourself up with a $9 meal.

Ordered lunch for colleagues through UberEats at around 11:30pm. Its 1pm and they are still preparing it. Called them and the guy said we are trying our best. Seriously? 1.5 hour to prepare some snacking items? If thats your best, then this was definitely my last order.P.S. Funny enough when I called to follow up he told me that some of the items from my order are not available and if he can swap them with some other stuff. Really disappointed.

Guys pls do give few paneer pieces in a Kadhai paneer dish rather than one small piece and then other stuff like capsicum and onions. The whole point of this dish is to taste the paneer and not onions and capsicums. Also, suggestion is to talk about Thali when people like me are wondering what to buy. Please check food temp on your tray as the rice and Kadhai paneer felt warm as opposed to hot.

Good for low cost vegetarian meals. Food quality is average. Wouldnt rate much for the ambiance. All in all value for money spent.

We come here for the First time, It’s the finest little spot with amazing food. The service we received was so amazing, and the prices are also very reasonable. We will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Also available on Uber eats, overall highly recommended.

OMG. what a test. Every single dish has another festival. If work colleagues didnt take there I never know. I have to say, I wasnt sure its a good choice to eat in there or not. I start wiping everything. Cutlery, table, water bottle ( I am not saying they were dirty, its me after covid but hey , we are talking about food. It was divine. I am not fan of indian food, this place will be one of my favorite. Good work guys.

I found a sharp, jagged piece of plastic spoon in my bhel (which I discovered after I scooped a spoonful in my mouth). When I asked to speak to the store manager, a gentleman came by and said sorry you found this in your food but these things happen. Totally appalled by the very casual way this was brushed aside! Never going back!

Place doesn’t look like much, but the food was really good

Very nice place for takeaway. Enjoyed the channa bhatura and pav bhaji from here multiple times. For people living in North Shore I couldn’t find a place to have channa bhatura elsewhere. Only issue is parking is a bit hard to find. Wish I could order via Uber Ears instead.

I have been there in 2018 and hand on heart, I have never tasted such delicious Indian cuisine, like ever in my entire life. Being a vegetarian Indian, I’d say this place is a must must try.The ambiance will leave you in awe.

Best Indian just down the road from the office. Their lunch time special is perfectly priced and hits the spot every time.Staff are also very friendly and welcoming.Mango lassi is on point too.Enough said go eat there :)

Great food, great service. I ordered a paneer parata and it came out perfect. Fast efficient and fresh. Finding parking isnt that paink but if youre walking in, its one of the better places in auckland. Even in a rush theres not much wait and variety of delicious and mouthwatering dishes.

Food taste very good in this restaurant. Prices are very affordable. I highly recommend this place for vegetarian lovers. Rajasthan food culture makes me feel very welcome in this restaurant. The combination of mitaitali with garlic nan taste awesome.

My favourite on the go Indian vegetarian place in the central city. Yummy food at a very affordable price. Only $9.50 for the mini thali. Great selection of delicious sweets (Mithaiwala means sweet seller). Warm friendly staff.

Had one of the worst experience. Ordered both South Indian (dosaand stuffed paratha.Both turned out to be bad.Ordered idli and it was as hard as hell. Chutney was like catchup and daal was served as sambar.Will not suggest to anyone.
