3220 Bayside Walk, San Diego, CA 92109, United States, Tijuana
Flat 12-mi. seafront cycle path & pedestrian walkway taking in views of the beach & bay.
Combine this bike path with the mission beach / pacific beach board walk makes for the most scenic rollerblading/ bicycle cruising. Went with a bunch of friends in short shorts and we all got our FAAABUUULOUUUUSSSS on! Highly recommend for some outdoor activity and sunshine.
Great walking/running/biking path. Pretty busy most of the day
Great entry point for a day on the water in sunny San Diego! We love taking the SUP or kayak out on Mission Bay. Parking can be difficult in the afternoon so arrive early to find a spot. Plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby for a drink or a meal within walking distance afterwards.
There are areas of construction youll need to avoid.I highly recommend that you go in a group of no less than 4 people. There are dozens of homeless peoples tents & a tent city the further down the trail you go.Depending on the time of day (closer to sunsetits just not safe at all.The view is nice and its significantly safer towards OB (Ocean Beachbut not 100% safe.Ladies definitely do not go by yourself, thats just inviting trouble.
We did a 17 mile bike ride around the bay on the bike path. Great view, level trail and the ocean breeze. Highly recommended!
We got there right at 9 am and ran foul of the park police. We had our dog leashed in his stroller. There is no way he can get out & aggravate someone. But she said even in a dog stroller hes not permitted to be there. We thought the hours were 10 am.
Loved the trail. Managed a good 17.5 miles today.
Ive been on my share of bike paths in mini estates this is one of the top very beautiful Breeze coming off the water lovely Sunshine great people watching an absolute beautiful bike path well taken care of and every time I do San Diego I ride the bike on this path crazy how far it goes up and around the water just keep going electric bikes would be good if you dont have strong legs otherwise I would say pedal it on a pedal bike as it is a good workout a scenic route and it must do whenever youre close to San Diego for all my bike enthusiasts out there
So much fun, rented bikes and rode around the bay, both inland and coastal
Bike paths are excellent, we enjoyed them with are dogs
Pretty place that wasnt very crowded for where we were.
Good bike ride, but there’s some rude people that blame others for not looking, so the people that blame others for not looking weren’t looking or moving. Must been something with some people.
Great lace to bike and walk. Not very crowded and it is a nice easy bike ride.
Its a great path. 13 miles around Mission Bay. Takes you on the Bayside walk along Mission Blvd, through Crown Point, Tecolote Shores, Fiesta Island, and SeaWorld. Takes 1-2 hours depending on how fast you ride. Just follow the bike path all the way around. It is highly trafficked, especially near the freeway. There is also access to the Rose Creek bike path for a quicker, flatter route to La Jolla/University City. This route is 4 miles and goes alongside the Mt. Soledad foothills, avoiding the steep grades.
Nice bike path, despite the paucity of directional signs and an abundance of unconscious people who meander aimlessly. ;Definitely better on weekdays than crowded weekends.
Fun ride
Beautiful day to ride the bike path. Enjoy the sunshine while you cruise your bicycle along the beach.
A little crowded for my taste but very beautiful views!
Easy bike ride along the water through the park. Plenty of restrooms along the way but no soap to wash your hands so bring your own or sanitizer.
Great place to ride your bicycle and watch the sun go down
Recently traveled from far to run and ride along this path. Absolutely beautiful. Will visit again purely for this trail and the many people and things to see along the way.I highly encourage you to get an eBike and peddle assist your way around the path.
It just beautiful, peaceful ,taking in the moment, great bike path ,to take.
Its pretty and peaceful. Doesnt go all the way around. But a really nice ride when its sunny out
Very beautiful view new construction on playground will look nice
Its a nice bike ride. Anyone who can ride a bike can ride this bike path no problem
Every Sunday for the last 22 years, Ive been going to the boardwalk at Mission Beach to rollerblade, and it never gets old!! The weather, the scenery, the vibe, everything, it never gets old!!
I love riding my bycicle on the path. There are many places to exit it or enter along this pathway.
Its a beautiful walk too. Wish all bikers would use a bell or say on your left.to warn everyone
This is my fav path to ride/run. Go during sunset!!!!! Flat, paved, and great views. Lots of places nearby to rent bikes and pop off to get food.
Absolutely love this path! Always home to happy, smiling, loving, fun, fun-loving people, walking, running, biking, talking, holding hands, building sand castles, creating space, soaking in the sun, finding peace, soaking it all in, and acknowledging the suffering, both as individuals and as a unit. Great place to enjoy life~
The best bike ride we ever had. Did an 11 mile loop along bay and ocean. Many lunch spots along the way.
Awesome place to bike ride and explore mission bay. Amazed that I rode about 17 miles and so few people on the path. Loved the free parking everywhere. Wished there was a few spots to stop and get refreshments along the way. I will definitely be commuting from behind the orange curtain to partake in the future.
This is a nice recreational area, with a lot of facilities. My one beef is that out-of-towners think its OK to ride on the sidewalk when there is a bike path CLEARLY MARKED next to the side walk. It is not ok. Anyway, the area itslef is quite nice and no complaints about locals.
Great place to run or bike. The whole loop is about 13 miles. Gets hectic with pedestrians in some parts.
I love it Sooooooo much! I wish the other San Diego cities would build such wonderful bike paths for their citizens and visitors to ride on, Bravo Mission Bay Bike Path! THANK-YOU!
Cool breezes on a hot day. Lovely views. Safe place to ride
Awesome bike trails with free parking lot.
We have ridden this bike path many times. Can be a bit crowded on weekends.
Nice relaxing path by the beach.
Extraordinary bike path if your are looking for lazy fun ride. The entire party is completely flat and cement paved. You have the bay activities and water on one side and vacation rentals, shrubs on the other. The vibe is very positive with people having fun with their family and friends. The bike path can get crowded by the pedestrians and watch it for kids running around.A must visit for everybody. This party is definitely not for workouts, especially during weekends.
Very crowded, and there was some San on the path as well as a few large cracks in the way which made it really easy to fall
NOT a dog friendly path. Dogs are only allowed before 9 am and after 4pm in the fall/winter and after 6pm in spring/summer. We had our dogs in a kid type dog cart pulled by a bike. We were kicked off the beautiful path by an extremely rigid San Diego Policeman. Even though our dogs were confined to the cart they were still not allowed. We were forced onto surface streets that do not have bike lanes. Conclusion, San Diego is Not dog friendly.
So fun! Walking out here with my sweetie is always looked forward to. Basics (bathrooms, etcare around. If you like scenic beach walking,or people watching, youre all set.
Unbelievable path. Perfect for running, but you have to hold extreme right due to the bird scooters. The scooters werent the most dangerous; honestly the road bikes were traveling much faster. Thanks San Diego for a great running path!
Mission Bay has miles of pleasant bike trails. Low effort flat paths circle the bay. Great for cruising. Free family fun. Accessible by public transportation. Bike rentals.
Absolutely beautiful bike path. But it does getting pretty congested. If you are on a bike, expect to get stuck behind pedestrians frequently. Took away a star because there are some rough spots.
Great cycle ride, lots of cool things to see. Only complaint is the bike signage could be better.
San Diego you are so lucky, we absolutely loved riding around this incredible city. Thank you.
Nice path for enjoying the beach and getting a quick workout. It does get a little challenging if you do the full path.
Great bike or walking trail, smooth enough to skateboard, nice bay views.
