MissGreen - Vegan restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan
The staff? Lovely! The Buddha bowl? Divine and very much worth every penny. The tofu burger? Well, that actually leaves much to be desired. It was clumpy and the sauce was to sweet for what I thought would be a savory dish. Also, for the price of 290NTD, I was expecting some sides (maybe fries). That said, burger aside, the staff were very accommodating and nice.
(2022)Came back after 4 years, and the service and decor were all just the same (very good). I wants too happy with the cauliflower nor the fact that they didnt have the pizza (listed on menuBUT the salad, fries, and dessert were all AMAZING. The burger was also decent, just not as good as the other three. Will definitely come back to try more.(2018)Good vegan food, good service. The flavour is a bit lacking in salt but I think thats because they have a fresh and organic feel, which I also really appreciate. I like the environment inside.
Delicious, healthy, welcoming place: cant wait to go back!
I really like the food at this place. However, every time I go to the restaurant at 20:00, I am told that they have stopped serving food. This has been extremely annoying especially since the website and google maps both say that the restaurant is open until 21:00. On top of that, the staff always made me feel really unwelcome. I feel like they should adjust their official opening hours and communicate them clearly. Having said that, I do not think that 8pm is a ridiculously late dinner time and it felt to me like the kitchen staff just wanted an early night off.
I had my first ever meal at a western style vegan restaurant the other night. Although I had been a frequent patron to soup & salad restaurants back in the States, they were basically limited to salads butnot dishes made of all vegetables. This restaurant is located inside a residential neighborhood, its best to take the subway and take a 5 minutes walk there.I didnt have a great dining experience at this place. There were many dishes and even beverages were not available when we made decisions to order. Would you believe it, it was a Tuesday night not on a busy weekend. So, we, 6 of us, had to settle with what were available. It was a bad omen weve ignored.I had many vegetarian meals at Chinese style vegan restaurants before. I think Chinese vegan dishes do deliver more flavors and tastes than just presentations. So, after we were half way finished eating I was asked to comment on the food. I concluded that I would prefer Chinese vegan culinary. The conclusion above was made a little bit too fast, because two of us got pretty sick from something we ate after we returned home. So, definitely I would prefer the Chinese vegan restaurant.
It is a place I recommend trying something new but the management is inflexible. They are unaccommodating to make any kind of changes to the dishes even if it’s just taking out a sauce if you have allergy to nuts. Reason being they don’t want to give any more trouble to the kitchen which I can understand and accept if you’re busy. However, mind you at the time I was there, there were hardly any customers. It was not busy. They said if they do that with one customer then it’s never ending. It was the attitude of service and tone of voice that put me off as much as the waiter was trying to sound friendly and protect his staff. Three stars because I support vegan restaurants. But different kinds of customers do matter.I’ve eaten there twice before with mediocre dishes and a slight lack in creativity and love. But this time I had left.
The service deserves five stars, the whole staff is very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately I found the dishes lacked a bit in creativity, it was more something I would cook up at home if I didnt feel like cooking something complicated. Simplicity would be still ok but also the taste was soso, most strikingly it was very salty. I think the prices are too high for this, especially considering that portion sizes are much smaller than in comparable locations.
I ordered the OMG Tempeh Wrap (through UberEats- an overpriced and weird dish. The tempeh is not spaced properly, so not in all of the wrap youll eat it. Its not really wrapped properly so everything just falls apart, especially as theres too much sprouts/lettuce.Did the cook or the owner ever ate this dish? Do you know what a wrap is? Happy to pay NTD340 for a good dish, but for such a preparation? Embarrassing...The plus side: the taste is good, and the vegetables are good.Hope theyll improve...
Quinoa with beetroot and jalapeno sauce is almost guilty! (I want sure how one can feel guilty with vegan foodAnd I love the idea they put braised tofu instead of tempeh in this buddha bowl to make it less starchy but more texture, and of course reminds me of home.#food #vegan #green #vegetarian #veggie #taipei #taiwan #weekender #quinoa #spicy #tofu
Our waiter was really nice to us and I like that they also sell environmental friendly and vegan lifestyle products. I liked the truffle pasta (creamy & flavorfulbut was disappointed by the tomato vegetable soup (sour & couldn’t taste anything apart from tomatoand the Vietnamese cold noodles (would’ve liked more sauce on the tempeh, more noodles, and maybe some peanuts & coriander to add flavor & texture).
I ordered the Signature Guacamole Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. There was a tangy dressing and I didnt see or taste the guacamole. The bun was very tasty but the burger was very dense. I could see pieces of black soy bean. The sweet potato fries were cut very thick and were baked so they were a little crunchy in an undercooked sort of way. They had a nice sprinkling of seasoning but the pieces were too thick for any flavor to penetrate. The ambiance is nice, the staff is efficient, and its in a convenient location.
Food is great but average waiting time during dinner is an hour even if you only order a salad.
Such a wholesome dinner! Service was great, good, chill atmosphere and most importantly food was amaaazing 🥰
Nice place, clean and bright! Very rich and creative vegan menu. Some very cool burgers such as the Falafel Burger. A nice place to have something healthy. Price is really descent for quality and good tasting food! Well done team at Miss Green!
The food is okay. But not sure about the service.... when the waiter was serving to our table, he spilled the whole glass of mango kiwi juice on the favorite white dress and my suede bag... 😭 and here is how they dealt with this case: the restaurant treated me another juice for free (??? but not my meal? ).And they said they can reimburse me only if I send the dry cleaning receipt to them (I hope they also reimburse the fee of the mail post though). The waiter apologized many times but still, the It was really a shocking and awkward experience.....
A quaint and quiet place to enjoy a delightful vegetarian meal. Highly recommend the avocado burgers and salad, but not limited to the selection. There is a wide range of options for your mood anytime. The service is wonderful and the staff is attentive. Love the yam fries as well.
Delicious, vegan restaurant with great service and accommodating staff. Cute and cozy atmosphere as well. They made my burger gluten free and asked if I was ok with garlic and onions.
***a sweet spot for the vegan purists***Aside from the obvious green vibe, this venue basically conveys environmental consciousness with its decors and messages posted throughout. A clear cause-motivated vibe together with super friendly staffs makes dining a positive experience. All farm sourced organic ingredients to make salads, wraps, paninis and handcraft vegan burgers, they also have a few pasta and risotto dishes.Signature avocado burger - buns’ inner side are actually pan fried to a pleasant crunch which makes up for the lack of crunch from a charred edge meat patty. The all-bean patty didn’t disappoint nor was it a failed attempt to be fake-meat. Lettuce was huge that it hanged out like skirts. I wish there was more avocado.Detox Me - consisted beetroot, lemon, ginger and apple, a variety of wild berries. Thoroughly enjoyable.Napoleon pasta - Tomatoes, garlic, onions and herbs all work harmoniously with the perfectly cooked pasta. The sauce had a pleasant tangy note.Food for thought: “Many of us dream of saving the world. What if you can do it three times a day?”
I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the service. We had the set that included an appetizer, a main, a pizza, 2drinks. It was very good! The falafel burger was so good and the pizza was great!Would love to go again when i’m in the area
I loved having my lunch here. The decoration of the restaurant is nice and cozy and the staff is friendly. The food itself is really nice. I ordered a salad based on my friends recommendation and I usually do not like salads. This one however was full of flavour and I loved the vegan cheese which they used in the salad. The side of sweet potato fries was also yummy.
Very delicious vegan food with cozy atmosphere. The price is a little bit high in Taiwanese standard. The burger ‘meat’ is made by potato instead of beans.
Really good service and delicious food! The fries and avocado burger were great; the sauce on the burger is a bit too sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I love that they wrote about their mission on the menu.
Nice spot for Vegan food. We had the Avocado burger and pasta both were good especially the Vegan burger patty although for the price we weren’t full after eating. The pasta portion was quite small and you don’t get fries with the burger unless you add and pay more. All in all pretty good.
used to go here often and always enjoyed their food. healthy and tasty. But it seems that in the recent weeks that service has been extremely slow. During busy times lunch would take nearly 1 1/2 hours for all the food to arrive. I went alone and ended up waiting for my salad (which was deliciousfor about 30 min before getting it. So if you are pressed for time, this is not the place to go. or possibly you will need to order ahead. The service itself is attentive, just the food is slow to come out.
service was nice, but the curry rice I ordered was so-so. stay away from the "mocha cheesecake", overpriced and disappointing !
MissGreen is specialized in Vegetarian cuisine. The inside feels cozy and is nicely decorated with a lot of plants. The service was quick and alert. The two dishes (artichoke Cuban sandwich and tomato pastatried were both tasty and delicious.I can recommend this place!
I love the freshness of from the food when you savour them! The one i dont like is how they prepared the Tempeh, It feel different from what I used to eat (Since I come from Indonesia). The tempeh is quite wet and sticky (becoming like Nattoand smell weird.
The food is really tasty. I had the tofu scramble and dumplings. The sauce with the dumplings was delicious!
I’m not vegan but I love to come here for the delicious food! Their dumplings and the pizza are really tasty and let you forget about the fact that it’s all meat free!
There were variety of vegan menus and the atmosphere was good. Foods were tasty and the staffs were really nice.
Fantastic vegan place with plenty of cuisine options! Loved the ambiance & the friendly service. Great dumplings, detox juice and Thai quinoa curry. Highly recommend for all vegetarians and vegans visiting Taipei.
Amazing I love it here! I came 3 times in one week. Tasty food, drinks and cakes. Lovely cosy tropical atmosphere. And alllll vegan 😋
Came here on a weeknight and the place was quite busy. We had the curry and the avocado wrap. My partner said the curry was one of the best vegan ones he’s had. The avocado wrap was also delicious but could’ve used more avocado. Prices were a bit expensive for Taiwan. It was around 700 NTD or so for both of us. Menus and their social media online suggests they are quite English friendly as things are posted in both Chinese and English but when we got there, the servers didn’t speak English. This wasn’t really a huge deal as I speak mandarin fluently but it is something to note if you plan on going.
Food was good however nothing special for the price payed. Secondly I did not like the fact that food was not coming at the same time.
Nice little surprise. Food is good, price is decent, and very clean. Would come back again.
Great service, great food... I will return for sure. We had the “cheesy” cauliflower app which was mildly spiced (it was served lukewarm unfortunately). The Signature Avocado Burger with sweet potato fries - the fries were starchier than I would like but delicious and there could have been a greater presence of avocado on the burger. That said, the flavours were a wonderful harmony in the mouth and I pushed away full! The truffle spaghetti was superb, a nice balance of everything and while it looked less than hearty at first blush we both needed naps at the conclusion of lunch. It was not a cheap meal but definitely a 5-star one! A 10% service charge is added to the bill.
Got a big green salad and the pesto pizza. The vegan cheese was creamy and had a nice texture. Service was friendly. I asked for Tabasco sauce--they didnt have it--so gave me their special chilli sauce, it did the trick. Everything was fresh and flavourful.
I eat here quite frequently on my trips to Taipei. In fact this was the first vegan restaurant I discovered here two years ago!The staff is courteous and friendly. The standout meal for me are the Falafel Favourite Burger (with sweet potato friesand Kombucha Heaven juice.
their motto is that they serve fast slow food. inside is a nice open space with pallets, exposed brick and hanging plants from the walls and ceiling.they have a brunch/lunch deal where you can get with your main dish either a salad and tea, fries and tea, or soup and tea. I was craving a burrito so I got super excited to see they had them on the menu. I ordered the amazing avocado wrap however it wasn’t a burrito but instead just a salad wrap so I was super bummed! we tried the coconut curry & rice, sweet potato fries, side of soup, and kombucha. they throw a 10% service charge on top. the food was good but could be tastier. service was great though, we thought our waiter was absolutely adorable and just wanted to give him a hug. they serve everything in reusable wares too and also sell eco conscious products like tote bags, recipe books, teas, dog food, and body wash.
Too much meat yesterday so decided for vegan day. Stopped by this place called MissGreen. Ordered OMG Tempeh Wrap which is a Non-Gmo tempeh with mix greens and a GreePower Protein salad which comes with Organic quinoa, avocado, and vegan cheese. Taste pretty good. The place has upstairs and downstairs sitting, high-chairs available, and wifi available.
Definitely enjoyed the food here. I have tried a good amount of hip vegetarian/ vegan spots in town and I love how Miss green has such a variety on the menu and how the food was served fresh and tasty, you don’t think about vegan or non vegan, you just eat something delicious that is served.
fresh creative thai dishes, even the non vegan at our table said he was satisfied! Who says vegan food has to be boring? The bartender was super attentive and great, making us cocktails according to what we liked. Also they make their own kombucha (which can be made into a base for cocktails too! yay!rocommend!
A fairly tasty vegetarian restaurant that doesnt quite justify the price. I really enjoyed the flavours and that the burger patty didnt just fall apart straight away; however, the portions were very small, especially for the high price.
First time trying Vegan food and I have to say Im impressed, will definitely come again!
The decor is nice and refreshing. The food is average, especially considering they ran out of three main ingredients in my salad. That said, the service was decent: servers were quite apologetic and asked if Id like to sub something else in place of the missing bits.I had their GreenPower Protein. So… turns out they ran out of quinoa and both the cheeses, so my photos are not exactly whats on the menu. And while the ingredients are all fresh and crisp, actually none of the ingredients seem to be processed very uniquely. Its basically "healthy" stuff thrown together in this combination. (Im contrasting to places like Mia Cucina, where their salads are made with things that require actual cooking.)Please note: even though they clearly have "credit card accepted" logo stickers on their glass door, they told me they only take cash! Misleading!
Amazing cakes and smoothies! Great entrees as well, and a decent collection of beers The new location is much more spacious than their last one~ two floors and a very nice bathroom (so important!). Big cosy benches, two person small tables, and group seating downstairs. Also, Soy lattes for 120. Love it!
Consistently excellent food made with love from locally sourced ingredients. I eat here at least once a week and definitely recommend MissGreens! 非常好吃!
Trying not to be biased and to be objective-- but this is the perfect place!Wonderful flavors in the food, the avocado open sandwich was sooooo delicious with smoky mushroom, yet like a fresh bite of spring. The DOGS. There are two Bulldogs and a beautiful Dalmatian mix, named Chubby, Darwin, and Wayne. Must have been hard to train them so well! The MUSIC and setting. So great, chill vibes and super cozy space with cushions and plants everywhere! Great bathroom and stuff swap, too.The STAFF. Super friendly! I drew a doodle for Andy :)Definitely bringing friends here for meals, work time, etc!
Beautiful decoration, very nice and helpful staff, amazing food. All the vegetarians, this is must visit place in Taipei.
A little pricey for Taipei, but a nice treat. Soup was delicious, entree was alright. The juices are very good too. WiFi and English menu available.
