Miss India - Indian restaurant in Hong Kong, China
We ordered poori which was full of oil, naan was hard. The restaurant was not at all hygienic.
Too expensive, the food is mediocre
This restaurant is not worth even for 1 star. Worst experience ever. We ordered chicken jalfarezi and we got uncooked chicken with frozen vegetables you get from kai bo. Even the roti we got with the dish was burnt. I asked for drink (sprite liteand what I got was regular sprite with a slice of lemon. They are really pricey but the food is not worth it..
One star is also too much for the restaurant.we have tried result is front of you .very bad test .never recommend ppl to go here
Not very good value for money, small portions and the restaurant does not look very clean. Would not recommend.
Such a worst experience and worst place to have food..Cant fit for one star as well.Food is cold and stale..Full of artificial colors..
0n9. ordered chicken kebab . all I had was kebab full of salads and tiny tiny bit of chicken which tasted like its been cooked for days . furthermore, it was one of my most expensive and horrible food ever in my life
We ordered mutton samosa, it was dry and with no sauces to accompany the dish. 2 garlic pita breads that didn’t have much garlic and were burned around the corners. Chicken tikka that was ok taste but also dry and finally the mutton curry. It was watery and the meat was just as dry as the samosas.Just don’t bother. If you’re in Ming lol there are much better places to got to eat and for cheaper. Never again
Cozy place but the foods is not like what I expected for me is to light for Indian food not enough herbs on it.
Freak, non oily vegetarian options!
The restaurant is the worst, the food does not have any taste especially the lamb donor, no taste in it, and the pice is too much for a small piece of donor and there is no taste!!! Worst restaurant ever! U can have McDonald’s instead of this, it is cheap and have taste!
delicious curry lambs with Naan and white rice lunch set. also serve with soup and coffee/tea 😋clean and neat place to chill out at Mongkok 👍
I saw them put my curry into the dish and picking lemon for my lemon tea with their FINGER, without wearing mask during the covid 19
Very bad experience for take-away dishes. That’s how a 200hkd dinner looks like with them. Fish Tikka is just some sort of white fried filet. The taste of mouton curry is terrible .
Unfortunately I was in MK so I had to get dinner there.I was deciding between this place and Calimex, but I have been to Calimex lots of times so dined here.It was late that night and there were quite a few customers so the food took a while to come.I had the mutter paneer which had too much herbs in it and the rice was over priced because they didnt have plain Indian rice so you are forced to order other Indian rices if you have to have rice.It was honest of them to state that it was Thai rice so people dont get get cheated when they think it is Indian rice. The food was a bit overpriced for MK because I can get better Indian food in Central.
A good place to enjoy Indian food. Relatively acceptable price. Special taste. Not-too-slow service. localized taste of curry, aka not too spicy.
The food is awful, worst biryani I have ever had. High price with low quality of food. Im sure any other indian restaurants will cook better food than this one.
130 HKD for a sub standard lamb curry, plain boiled white rice (not Basmati riceand a rather tart tasting mango lassi, supposed to be a set lunch. No complementary popadums & dips, no smiling waiter, no character to the place at all.
The food was good and so was the service. They have vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. I cant comment on the price as I was treated by family. It is situated in a food court style location with many restaurants and tables very close together. I would visit again.
Do not visit this hotel. They treat you as they are doing favour on you.The waiter literally shouts at you..Food quality is not so good.On demanding few onion slice they say it chargeble for 12 HKD.
This place is severely handicapped in terms of service as there is no service, servers seem to be preoccupied or on their mobile phone. The taste and quality of the food is sadly lacking and the chicken in the curry did not taste fresh, felt like the curry was re-cooked from the day before.Overall a painful eating experience. Total disaster. A complete waste of my time. Not good at all! Well, certainly "Missed India" by a long shot! 😖
Its not good. Taste are not authentic.
Decent place for halal Indian cuisine. Food was alright.
Dont waste your money here. If its your first time eating India food, its nowhere close to authentic. The aloo (potatoparatha was so tiny, it was literally four bites. It didnt have any stuffing nor did they serve it with any accompaniments. It lacked taste. The mango lassi the most horrid thing. It was so watery, more like milk mixed with yellow colour.Total waste of money. To add to it their customer service is horrible. They were arguing with thier other customers over how their food cant go wrong.
Best place to have indian spicy food in mongkok.Dont try briyani.
Super delicious Chicken Kadai. The waiter was very nice! It is a busy spot and he did a good job getting to everyone in a timely fashion! I would highly recommend this restaurant as it is right next to the market and super delicious! Happy eating everyone!!
biryani very good.... worth try....
Worst restaurant!!Me and my family visited this place, the restaurant ambience is claustrophobic to start with. The service was horrible and the food served is the worst we have had in a restaurant! It’s a shame we had to pay a bomb for such a bad experience. Would never recommend anyone, especially Indians looking for home food in HK!
In the 2nd section of ladies market on it’s west side behind the market stands, you’ll find a Very Authentic indian place. The real stuff like you can get in India. Large menu, well prepared. A simple non fancy place. Many local Indians are coming in to dine- that’s the best clue to understand how authentic this food is. I’ve been in this place already 3 times. I guess I’ll come again.
Went there today with my elderly mother . We had a horrible experience there. There was no one there to take food order . Later an Indian waitress came with a menu . She was extremely unprofessional. She was too busy with her phone to do anything . Food was served but it tasted like it was leftover from day before . I called her twice for bill but she failed to turn up since she was too busy with her phone . I had to go to the counter to pay the bill .After returning home ,my mother started loose motions and I am with an upset stomach + severe acidity .One of the worst places to eat !!👎👎👎👎👎
Worst hotel , I ever have seen. You wont like the food if you ever have tasted good indian food.I visited and they offered rice which were very hard , these were scratched rice from the cooker. After complained they changed with new plate which was same. And matter of shame, still they included it in the bill ,even we did not touch it.The lady does not have sense , how to treat the customer.Wont suggest anyone to go there.
Delicious flavorful paneer and garlic naan. The curry had just as much heat as I could handle and more flavorful spices than Im used to in the US. He didnt ask how spicy so it must have been their default white person mild. The server spoke perfect English and seemed to communicate in other languages just as well.
Worst restaurant in Hong Kong. Waitress not friendly, dirty kitchen, hard rotis, food have no taste and is extra spicy, prices too high. Please avoid if possible.
The curries were bland, lacking spiciness and the meat were not fresh. The rice were very greasy and the naan were hard and dry. Generally poor quality and one of the worst Indian restaurant in Mong Kok and Kowloon. Caution advised.
On our way out of Ladies Market, we had a quick bite at this restaurant serving Indian food. Love the tandoori chicken, very tasty. Managed by second/third generation of Indians migrated to HK long time ago, and they are fluent in Cantonese. Great place.
Very pricy. Rice is very oily, cheese Nan bread was horrible and expensive. The chicken curry was watery. Not so friendly environment. Heavily advertised but I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
I ordered a chicken curry lunch set with a Hong Kong style white soup and a milk tea which I changed to a Masala Chai. I made a terrible mistake about choosing an Indian restaurant so I wont recommend it to anyone looking for real Indian food but for those would like to try Hong Kong Style Indian fusion food, this is the one for you. Dont be surprised by the heavy influence on those Indian-like-dishes, they are truly Hong Kong Style Dai Pai Dong food.
It was more like an oasis in the desert for me, but it would save you the disappointment if you kept your expectations low. Decent Indian food in the bustling ladies market.
I tried the set of curry chicken, comes naan, grilled chicken and a cup of soft drink. The food is okay and not so spicy. The portion is just enough for me, and yes its a bit pricey even in mong kok area; i can understand that as its not a chain-restaurant.
Ok, firstly the food was average, nothing particularly special, we had the prawn curry and the tikka chicken. The portions are really small and way overpriced, even for Hong Kong standards, Im not kidding here, theyre really expensive for average food and its just not worth it. My partner and I are traveling on a budget and there are way better restaurants that offered larger portions and better food at half the price, theres a reason this place is empty.
Great curry and naan. I had curried mutton and garlic naan. Loved both. Also had a lassi. Little on the pricey side though, around 250 HKD for all three.
Not crowded, taste is average
Good enough curry food when youre in MongKok.Hard to find among the street stands make this place a little more exciting that typical shop.
Went with a group of colleagues who spoke very highly of the restaurant, but I dont see the appeal. My butter chicken tasted burnt and was probably up there with the worst Ive had.Service is prompt, but can be lacking, especially in friendliness.
Showed us pictures of tandoor pomfret by the guy waiting outside but didnt have any of the big item menus such as king prawn or pomfret. Disappointed. Had to settle for items I didnt want to have. Also the lady taking orders was unfriendly. Avoid.
a few dishes were delicious, but the chicken biryani was bland, felt like stale food, no taste at allNaan, chicken curry and daal makhni was good and freshly made
Very Expensive Food. The Naan And Rotis Dont Come With Curry, You Will Need To Purchase It Separately. A Simple Meal + Drink Will Set You Back About HKD 120 +/-
We had butter chicken. Taste was just about ok. Not great. We didnt have many dinner options at 1015 in the night and were hungry.
Awesome food and a saviour, when I was starving in Hong Kong since I landed. You get out of the Mongkok station and on the crowded street, opposite of Broadway filled with Hawkers. On the right hand side, behind the stalls, theres this restaurant. Must have!
Great for a quick bite. Saag paneer was well spiced and dark green with firm cheese cubes. The chai masala tea was flavorful and sweet - not overly sweet. Paratha and naan were tasty.(The ladies toilet left much to be desired.)
