Functional, storefront setting for down-home Peruvian cuisine, such as ceviche & lomo saltados.
This place is out of this world. There isnt a single thing on there menu I wouldnt put away. But must try there ceviche I prefer their mixtos but they are all good and the chicken fried rice with their green salsa.
Yummy! Great Peruvian food and drink in casual no nonsense space. Order and pay at the counter. Friendly staff, quick service, and tasty food. Enjoyed shrimp ceviche, spinach empanadas, yuca appetizer, and Peruvian beer. The sauces are "to die for"!
First time here experimenting. Food was flavorful. I really didnt know what I was ordering but I settled in this. Ill be back next time in the area and try the seafood medley
Loved the food!!! It was amazing.
Food was great but they did make us wait an hour for our food Not sure if we will be going back.
I never had Peruvian food. I needed a change of pace and decided to give Misky Misky a try. All I can say is... WOW! Great food friendly staff. Did I mention great food?! If you are in the mood for good comfort food and want to try something different.... I strongly recommend Misky Misky!
They charge you a tip before they serve you and the service was really bad. The food was not well seasoned, very salty, over cooked and not very good. For me this expensive restaurant sucks.
The food was delicious and the portions were big. We ordered lomo salado, tallarin verde with steak and arroz con mariscos. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was very flavorful. The arroz con mariscos had tons of flavor and enough mariscos. We also had maracuya and it was delicious and refreshing. One of the best peruvian places weve tried.
the Leche de Tigre is awesome. the tallarin Verde con bisteck was just ok surprisingly. I had this in the past and it was much better the last time I had it. hands down the Lomo Saltado is the best dish.
The menu is limited but what we had was very good. Order at front then delivered to the table. Good beer selection for this type of place and they served it with a cold glass which is nice. If you want a taste of Peruvian food this place fits the bill. Both my mom and I said wed go back.
Great food. Order before you get a # and seated. Expect a long wait as good as prepared fresh. Took them 50 min to prepare our food.
Great restaurant. They serve very tasty food. Great ambience and good wait staff. Highly recommend to eat here.
Very authentic taste, worth trying.
Amazing sangria. Delicious lomo saltado. Ceviches we’re amazing. If you’re craving a hearty Peruvian meal this is the place to go. It never gets crowded but even if they do the service is fairly quick. Thank you Misky Misky
I read lots of good reviews here for this place so decided to give it a try. Not as good as what people had said and overpriced for this quality. I ordered the cilantro beef stew, the meat was quite dry and it wasn’t hot. The ladies next to us waited 45 minutes for their dinner, not worth the wait at all. Not coming back.
my 1st time here but not my last one... food very delicious never had Peruvian food great taste😋 ... the only thing I did not like that you have to pay first before you get a table. what happen If during your meal you decide to add something else to your order. 🤔
One of the worst Peruvian places Ive tried. The emapanadas are frozen and re heat up in the microwave. And they domt even do a good job at this since the inside is still cold. They make you pay before you sit! Who does this! This is a disgrace to all Peruvian restaurants. The chicha was terrible and arroz chaufa had no taste.
First, I am disappointed with the SERVICE of this wonderful Neighboor restaurant. The food is great. I called two days ago and confirmed twice a reservation for a forum of us bc we had a very limited time to eat before a required event. The person confirmed the reservation twice, and also confirmed we could call ahead of time to order food to help with time. The day of the event, the second caller denied the reservation and would not take our orders and stated that she heard the first caller stateThat no reservations where allowed or pre order food. The sad part is that we could go anywhere to eat, pay and provide a great tip--they missed out!!
Located right off the 10 FWY off Grand Exit behind the Arco Gas station. Closed on Mondays. Not your typical "wait to be seated" restaurant... You order & pay at the counter, are given a number and find a table where theyll deliver your food. It can feel more like a fast food environment since theres no waiter/waitress assisting tables, but with a modern setting. The wait depends on time and day of the week you visit. Food is delicious, authentic Peruvian taste with great presentation and generous portions. Friendly and helpful staff, competitive prices, the restaurant is clean and has outside seating. I tried their "Tallarín Verde con Bisteck" which is a Pesto Linguini topped with a grilled filet mignon and their "Chaufa de Pollo" which is fried rice with chicken, eggs and green onions, both delicious. Overall I was satisfied with this restaurant and service, I look forward to trying more of their menu items.
Excellent Peruvian Food ♥️👍🏼💕😊
Its ok. Gave it a third chance because I live close to it. Looks like a nice sit-down service ppace, but you pay upfront and once youre served no one checks up on you. Its a more like a fast food feel as well as the quality. Meat quality is not great. For what you pay as far as (meatquality, I much prefer El Rocoto in Gardena and secondary El Pollo Inka. Not the friendlinest either. The outdoor patio is pleasant to sit if weather is nice. The green house salsa, rice and papas appetizer is pretty good, but the meat does not meet my quality standards.
It was a great experience. You pay first before getting seated so technically their is no waiters since you ask for everything in the beginning. Very fast paced. Food came within 5 mins of ordering. I was in and out in a swift. I do recommend asking for extra napkins. Also lomo saltado is a must. Beef one was delicious and tender as well as juicy. Same thing could be said about the chicken tallarín verde. Everything was delicious
Best value for your money. You can taste the authenticity of Peruvian cuisine. Will definitely recommend to our friends
Great food and great serviceChicken and Beef empanadas are great (very crispy on outside and juicy + tasty on inside filling)
Delicious food that comes out exceptionally quickly with a wonderful indoor atmosphereI ordered the Chicharron de Calamar, Lomo Saltado, and a sangria
First time dinning at Misky Misky and the food is delicious. I am Peruvian myself and their flavors are on point. Feels like home.Would recommend 5/5 just because of the flavors, authenticity and nice service.!!! WARNING : it is really busy and we had to wait 40 min for our food, and the prices are pricey but it was worth it though!!!Will be coming back soon. And dont forget to try their empanadas de ají de gallina, Lomo, and spinach with cheese. I recommend them all.
Lomo Saltadotender juicy seasoned wok-fried filet mignon cooked with aji amarillo, tomatoes, red onions, & french fries, served with seasoned white rice
I enjoyed my wifes dinner more then mine, I dont recommend the salmon - a small little maybe 4oz piece. I need another visit for something different,
The signature beef dish was sautéed with hugeeeee flame- super tasty! We also loved the cilantro beef stew, but the peas and carrots were kind of unnecessary 🧐 also loved their calamari ceviche and beef empanada 🥰 will come back again!
Had a very good lunch at Misky Misky. Ordered at the counter and picked a clean table to sit down. The whole process was very simple and efficient. The service was sufficient although it was a busy afternoon so it was more difficult to flag down a person to request more green sauce and etc...Our party enjoyed all the food that we got. The portions were all big. Overall, we had a good experience at the restaurant. Prices for the lunch specials were a great value, but it could be a bit overwhelming to pay $24 for Lomo Saltado though....
Fast-casual Peruvian spot in West Covina. Came here with two others on a Sunday for dinner around 6:30pm. The place was humming but there were still a couple of tables available. Indoor & outdoor dining is available. Credit cards are accepted. You order and pay at the counter, then you receive a number and a waiter will bring your food out to you as it’s ready. The to-go boxes, utensils, and napkins are available for self-service by the kitchen. Free parking lot. They serve alcohol including a couple of Peruvian beer options, sangria, and wine. The food portions are quite generous. I got three meals out of the linguine de huancaina alone (the dish was great in that pasta was very chewy and the sauce was creamy, so I was surprised it lasted for so long). You get a small container of green, mild sauce on the side, which was great to pour on top of the food. The lomo saltado is a safe pick and comes with white rice and a good amount of veggies. The calamari was very crispy and can feed three to four people. Unfortunately the beef hearts were tough. Overall, it’s a family friendly spot that’s casual and serves up big portions of Peruvian food.
Went there for a business lunch with a few guests. It is a hybrid fast food place where you order the food at the register and they bring it to your table. The food is authentic and very tasty. The service is efficient and the staff very friendly. Overall a great experience and good value.
Yum. Delicious. Tasty.Easy dine in.Walk in. Order. Pay. Sit. Waiter serves the dishes.Awesome perfectly flavored Peruvian cuisine with Chicha Morada Sangria. Whaaaaat? Super combination.Aji de Gallina is a rainbow of flavors. Every bite is tasty and mouth watering. I use to devour the dish because the deliciouslness just agrees with my tongue. Now I chew every bite and enjoy the flavors. Potatoes are perfectly steamed. Chicken is shredded and spiced YUMMY.One black olive - wish they added 5 olives.Aji or picante green - spicy enoughLOVE it!
One of my favorite places to eat when I visit home. Their food is consistently good. I have yet to order something from here that I didnt like. Their Leche de Tigre ceviche is my favorite of their ceviches. The empanadas were delicious.
I CAME FOR A COUPLE DAYS TO CALIFORNIA , AND I HEAR ABOUT THIS PERUVIAN RESTAURANT, WAS DELICIOUS A LITTLE HOT BECAUSE OF THE COV-19 NEED TO EAT OUTSIDE, BUT WAS GREAT . I ORDER ARROZ CON MARISCOS, ANTICUCHOS AND HELADO DE LUCUMA . SUPER DELICIOUS.
We tried the Mixto and Leche de Tigre, ceviches and green rice. Nice presentation and the service was friendly; HOWEVER, four hours later two people in our party got stomach cramps and other issues. We arent sure if it was the green rice, the mussels, or the seaweed on the ceviche. Too bad because we really wanted to like Misky Misky.
from the free corn nuts to my Peruvian pesto linguine bistek was good, enjoyed our meal.
Sooo good. Always cooked perfectly. Ceviche is soft. Meat is flavorful. Pasta is chewy.
This place is absolutely phenomenal. This family owned business takes pride in preparing traditional Peruvian food with love. The service is fantastic and I guarantee that youll pay more for lower quality Peruvian cuisine in the greater LA area. The attached pictures are from the $10 lunch special menu and the flavor was exceptional. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
Used to like coming here, but I think the quality of the food has gone down. The pesto linguini with salmon was not as great as I remembered. The salmon was overcooked and dry. The ceviche and calamari was excellent however. Service was good.
Delicious ceviche & lomo saltado! Very authentic Peruvian food and service, a must-visit restaurant if you’re craving a meal that will satisfy your belly. Generous portions and great taste, friendly staff and reasonable wait.
Great service, even better food! Lomo saltado for the win. The purple drink is pretty good too. I think its made from Inca purple corn. ceviche mixta is also really good. Oh also instead of chips or bread they give you dried corn.
Food & atmosphere are great, somewhat pricey but definitely recommend.
Great place to eat. Come early enough because the parking lot fills up fast and the waiting room is small. We went on a Friday night and just made it before the crowd at 8pm hit. Food was really good. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The line and crowd showed how good and popular this place is.
Well where do I start, I’m sorry i forgot to take a picture of the delicious ceviche mixto. The ceviche had well balance of acidity and great taste. The main course my wife had the Tallarin Verde con Bisteck and I had the Lomo Saltado both where great. We had to leave a bit early because our son was tired and not having it. Great place to come and eat.
Huge fan of Peruvian food. I thought the food was good, and service was good too. For a location thats in West Covina, its pretty good. Plenty of parking is available too which is a plus.
I like Peruvian food however this restaurant features seafood which, unfortunately, I am allergic to. Big Ceviche menu-$12-17. This casual restaurant is very clean and comfortable. Wait staff is very efficient & they all help one another which equals good service. Waitress brought two small plates with an appetizer of fried corn and Habanero-Jalapeno sauce. Very different. I had the Chimichurri chicken which was a thinly sliced chicken breast fried and Chimichurri on top. White rice and a nice salad. Only $9 on lunch menu.
Having been to Peru... the service was great. The food needs some work. The portions are a little cheap given the prices and the food is too salty. Instead of a juicy bite into some anticucho... it was dry and salty. the only balance I found was with the Camote but... again the portion was very small. Has potential to be better but not there yet.
Fresh and flavorful food, quick and tentative service, welcoming atmosphere. Location is a bit out of the way, in a hidden corner of West Covina, but close to the 10. If Im ever in the neighborhood again, Ill be back!
Great place for Peruvian food. Came here to see how they compare to Mr. Pollo couple miles away. Turns out same owners. The ceviche was really fresh. We also got the Tallarin Verde con Bistek and the Lomo Saltado which were both really good. The steaks were really tender and flavorful. The fries in the Lomo Saltado was a bit over fried and was too hard. As far as service goes, there was only two servers and so service was a bit slow. We ended up having to flag down the server at the end of the meal to get the check.Overall, I think Id go to Mr. Pollo if I want a quick bite, especially since they have a really awesome chimchirri sauce that wasnt at Misky Misky. But if you have a large group, then definitely go to Misky Misky as they have a larger dining area.
