Unfussy destination for a large menu of popular Indian dishes such as tandoori & biryani.
The food is below average, dal makhni is not the actual dal makhni, the alloo sabzi was uncooked and the place is hell expensive. Would recommend you guys to try Indian food in other restaurants which offer better service for the same price. Also they don’t accept euro.
Good food! Very friendly and definitely worth the money!
Excellent food. Very professional staff.Highly recommended if you want pure Indian taste.....
Its a nice Lovely place which gives you Indian vide with old Bollywood songs!Dal makhani is just Amazing in here, and the best thing is you get complimentary papad😅
They have a meal service next to this restaurant. The quantity is reasonable and prices too. The guy at the restaurant was kind enough not charge extra for extra rice we had asked. It was a good experience
food 10/10variety 10/10taste 10/10No waiting time. Ample seating available inside and out
They stayex open late for us. This is great indian food. The one star off is for the prices which are pretty high.
Amazing authentic Punjabi food and beautiful tandoori roti. Really tasty and not overly oily at all. Restaurant has a great vibe and pretty artworks adorn the walls. Service is attentive and fast. Price was also reasonable!A huge thanks to Asad for making us feel at home. I’ll be back for sure!
Went for dinner and ordered chicken biryani, I can say it’s fried rice than to say a biryani
Very bad service and Food Was also Better then nothing
I would say it is ok. Not all the dishes were that good. If you order naan please eat them while they are hot otherwise it is just like eating plastic.
Very very very bad food pls dont go its better to go somewhere else
The food was not that good, this should be last option for everyone. Also prices are little bit on the higher side as compared to other restaurants. They don’t serve alcohol, and you have to buy water if you need. Like other restaurants they don’t give you tap water. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Perfect option for moslem who looking Halal Resto, buffet self service, affordable price for Swiss standard, biryani rice, normal rice, chicken & fish curry, many soft drink, clean room, cowzy, friendly waiters, near by Luzern Hbf
Best Vindaloo I’ve ever had 😍
We have ordered vindaloo chicken there....it was amazing. One of the best Vindaloo Ive ever eaten. Full of meat...spicy, full of flavour. Now it is my fav food place in Luzerne!
The rude waiter!Stale and Cold food and everything that can go wrong!
5 stars for food , went there twice in a row , loved the food each time , simply amazing , quantity is quite good , ended up over ordering the first time ,3 stars because prices are steep and the waiters are rude , I guess this is a common experience from most guests , the service is pathetic , they need to give some hospitality lessons to the staff , looks like they have been picked off the street to put customers off …
We ordered malai kofta but they were made out of potatoes only. Gravy was very sour. We also ordered another paneer dish. Both gravy were same.
4.5 stars based on value. Solid lunch buffet and food had just enough spice. Friendly service too
I had a very bad experience, the waiter was very arrogant and he dint even serve properly, it was a disappointment going there ! When i asked him the food is over cooked , he replied I’m not the chef and he walked away , the worst service ever !
The place looked decent so we both opted for Buffet lunch which was available n it included roti. The table was already laid with variety of curries, rice, salad n pickles. The food looked ok . But when self served we realised that it was not even warm , very oily n looked as if reheated n placed it .We had only one plate to fill with vegetables , meat , fish curry , salad , dal n rice .No side plates or bowls to take curry. When I requested the waiter for a bowl he refused n rudely said that you will have eat everything from one plate . It looked like as if he was not bothered to serve the customer .He got just one roti between 2 of us n kept it on the table n vanished . We waited for him to get another roti since we had taken buffet for 2 of us . He came back after some time to take the bill by that time we had finished our lunch . The food was mediochre in taste .Very rude waiter n the owner was not around to complain .
Basic food and very expensive ! Not worth it
They give decent quantity. And the size of Tandoori roti is very big in size. So beware while ordering food.Reasonable price and nice taste
I am not sure how and why so many customers rated this restaurant so highly. I am Indian and the food from here is below average and mediocre at best. The Aloo Gobhi we ordered was dripping in oil, the dal tadka was without much flavour. It takes a lot of talent to mess up Dal Tadka!!. The tandoori roti was barely eatable and the papad was fried in oil used several times. We really wanted to have some Indian food and thus ended up ordering from here. Regretted it.Mirch Masala is actually Mirch Mediocre Masala!! Order if you want food which barely reminds you Indian food and you just want to satisfy a craving.
Best Indian food in Lucern. I always check on this restaurant whenever I am in lucern.
The curry was good the biryiani needed more flavor and salt the mango lassi was delicious overall a little bland but great service
We visited twice here for Indian food.Guy is very friendly.Keep it up brother.!!Love from India.
Best Indian food in Zug. Quality is greatBetter than all other well known Indian restaurantsPalak paneer and Malai kofta worth trying
Indian and Pakistani halal food restaurant.Good food and reasonable price. Located in City centre. They have fresh nan bread .
Honestly most flavorless kabob and Tandoori dishes I ever had. Prices are very steep and service is mediocre. Don’t try Indian food in Lucerne.
We pit stopped while walking the old town lucerna , amazing restraunt with halal food , welcoming staff and if you are craving desi India pakistani food . Stop by and taste taste delight.
Foods were very delicious.. The place and the crews were very friendly. They served the food on time. It was worthy to pay for such a perfect food and place..ALSO, Their mango shake with yogurt was very delicious.. (i could highly recommend it)Beryanies , and Curries were perfectly cooked and flavored. TRY TO VISIT THEIR RESTAURANT NOW! Dont miss a chance. :)
Authentic and delicious Pakistani/Indian food, nice atmosphere. Not a fancy restaurant, but clean and cosy ambience and the staff is friendly and helpful - the food was very tasty and the portions are big. Its like eating home food prepared by my wife. I have been there twice and tried their karahi gosht (lamband mutton korma with roti - boiled rice comes with the dish. Highly recommendable, this is definitely not the last time I pay Mirch Masala a visit.
Food was so tasty... Authentic indian food. Restaurant is very good.
Exceptionally disappointed with this so called Indian restaurant. Ordered tarka dahl and a biryani and there wasnt much authenticity to these dishes. Seems like proper Indian style cooking has been exchanged with an all-round curry spice to achieve some sort of taste. And the card machine is still not working. Would not recommend
Really good meal that tastes great but isnt expensive. Nice venue, was seatted to our table quickly. The waiters here had been really professional and clearly like their job. Do not generally venture out for lunchtime, found this place unintentionally. Lovely personnel and top quality food. Wonderful choices for a particular occasion, plenty of options on the menu and every thing tasted of the best level of quality.
Wow such tasty food! Samosa, eggplants, tandoori chicken breasts, and coliflour and potatoes. OMG!
Food is fresh and good but some what over priced .
Very bland food. Avoid the restaurant. DO NOT ORDER THE CHAI. It is not made to order, the chai tasted like an instant mix put together. They were kind enough to take it off the bill though. The take out Indian restaurant next door is owned by the same guy. They both have the same chefs. I would not recommend eating Indian food in Lucern. Wait till youre in Interlaken. The food was disappointing however, the service was nice. The guys here are really trying to please their customers. Its just sad the food isnt tasty.P. S. The take out restaurant doesnt take credit cards. But Mirch Masala restaurant does take credit cards.
As a regular consumer my opinion of this place is rather simple: best Indian restaurant in Luzern City. I have lived in Luzern for 7 years and this place has only gotten better. Relaxed atmosphere and good authentic Indian food.
Restaurant looks promising but fails to deliver. Food is terrible. i live in Milan and have travelled to most of Europe and never have i seen Indian food restaurant failing me so badly. We arrived at restaurant on a Saturday evening for dinner. We ordered Dal, Paneer and Roti. Simple Stuff which you would expect cannot go wrong, considering your are in a restaurant. Firstly, the service: very bad, staff is not attentive, they will take your order but will not serve you water unless you ask for it. Seems basic stuff but not done right. Then ordering food again, they will take order with promptness but then just forget you. Our order came after 35 mins of ordering. Then the Food, ok if food is good then you can say its worth the wait. However, not the case, Dal makhani we ordered was useless, never have i eaten Dal with such a horrible taste. Being a punjabi myself, i know what a Dal Makhani is all about and the associated flavor. But Dal here is all about garlic. Anyways then came our Paneer, it looked like that it was just made, which is good thing right, so that it is fresh. But no. Paneer was like it was just taken out of refrigerator and made to swim in already precooked gravy from morning with no care for spices and flavor. Roti was hard enough for chewing and they will just dump the entire order once so that the bread will become hard once it is kept there on the table. Normally breads are served hot over the course of meal. And then the price, after all of this you have to pay a quite a good price for what you have eaten and regret that why did we came to this place and then write a review like this.
Hopeless service, terrible food. We ordered prawn biriyani, which they served after 30 minutes of waiting. What they served was merely boiled yellow rice with pepper sprinkled over. Prawn tasted like rubber, probably just have been purchased 2 months earlier. It was a cozy, small place otherwise nothing great about the place. Server just randomly decides to distribute water on his will, if youre lucky, you may get some. As its BYOB, better get your own drink. Icing on the cake, they accept cash only & have a poster stating that card machine is out of order, pretty sure it will remain the same forever as its a great opportunity to escape paying tax.Gist- runway from this disgusting place!.
Went out for dinner on Saturday evening.+ves:Location is good. 5 min walk from station.Cleanliness is good. Ambience is decent.-ves:1They dont accept Credit cards. Both this and Pakistani restaurant next door dont accept credit cards. I have travelled enough round Europe where they accept card for even 2 euros. Here One dish will cost you 25 euros+ per person and still they dont accept cards!2Too expensive food even by Lucerne standards. Quantity is not great and quality is so so. Chicken was undercooked. When told they first dismissed and later took it and gave back in similar state.3Service is poor. Glass of water was never brought to table. "Can we get Lemon and Onion" had to be told 3 times before they finally showed up on table.Perhaps competition for Indian restaurants is not much around Lucerne but not worth the time and $$.
Bad Food ! Price cheat ! Not Indian !Synopsis:1. Not authentic stale Food !2. Credit card machine does not work since a year!3. The manager cheats on the price. If you are an indian dont go here ! The food is not real ! The price changes according to whim.Went for lunch as the day before the manager told us the price was 15.The manager is a liar. The lunch buffet is 15 according to the poster outside. After the lunch we were charged 17 and the guy told us the prices changed today morning, he charged another couple 17 saying the prices changed a week ago. Also they dont take credit card, the machine has been broken for more than a year.It seems they dont want to take credit card. Something is fishy here!
Buffet is good, food is freshly served and the price was best when compare to other Indian restaurants in Luzern. Especially the desert (made up of mango is good. No cards, they accept only cash.
Food was just fine.. Not Wow but one thing liked though couldnt use it. They had option on BYOB for Alcohol. Customer could bring their own bottles but one very bad thing is that they didnt have option of Card. I got out of cash that day and somehow managed to pay them. 7-8 Min walk from Chappel Bridge. Google Map works great in reaching them.
Pathetic and overpriced. Very bad ambience . Serving staff as well as the kitchen staff shout at top of their voices which gives guest very uneasy feeling. If you are looking for a good dining experience then definately is not a place to visit . If just looking to eat and skip everything else then is a one time visit. Mostly popular with tourists who look for Indian cuisine in Luzern and get trapped because of limited choices in city.Food is also not authentic Indian.Worst part was Bathrooms were dirty which is not expected. Swiss are very particular about cleanliness and personal hygiene which i think have been ignored here completely.
One of the best restaurants I found in my trip to Switzerland. Felt like having home food here.
Consistently good food with consistently improvised service. They dont sell alcohol, but will serve it if you BYOB.It started off with the atmosphere of a take-out place with a few tables. Now the Mirch Masala seems to be doing well, incrementally improving the decor. In recent weeks its been quite full, often visited by Indian tour groups.A great place to eat.And its open on Sundays, which is a big plus around here.
