Description
Privilege
Great view, 5 minute max walking
Very easy access. Road practically all the way up. Impressive view!
Beautiful view
Amazing place, beautiful view, temperature difference is impressive. A great place to take a break from high temperature and sun. 😍
MoreA beautiful place with a stunning view
Nice viewpoint. We started a hike to Nublo from here. Wich was stupid since we did not get to nublo (even we followed the signs). Also it was really really hot in august to hike! We did not regret it, since the hike through the woods was an experience!
MoreAmazing place to visit
Was top! On good days and I think youll get many of them on gran canaria....it was goooood.Sometimes "grand canyon" comes to my mind...and not in a bad way ;)
MoreAmazing views, well worth the drive up. Be aware - NO TOILETS! Had to wee in the bushes, not very appealing!
MoreHighest point on the island and you can drive there ( and park !Great views across the island and to Tenerife on a clear day.
MoreHighest location in the island, great visibility all around, you can even see Tenerife
MoreWithout question the best views on the island. I am so pleased we ventured away from the coast as you can see for miles. Also a clear view of Tenerife from here. Refreshments available if you need them and the roads up are very good so long as your steering wheel works!
MoreLoved the view. The wee shop selling beers at the spot was a nice supplement to the breathtaking panorama. 😁
MoreMagnificent views with Tenerife on Horizon. No need to walk, you can drive all way to the top, nearly...
MoreThe photos speak for themselves.
Great view, quite a journey to get to but pretty spectacular view.Really need a cafe or something at the top to make the journey more worth it.
MoreAmazing place where to see the sunset. It’s going to be crowded but it’s well worth it and you will find best location where to enjoy it. You will see Tenerife highest peak Teide and Roque Nublo. Sun sets behind the island Tenerife.
MoreAn interesting place to visit. I could say that i have visited many other interesting peaks and i have had more beautiful mountain views, but due to the fact that the peak is in the middle of an island, makes it super special. The rocks are very interesting to observe and to understand that you are somewhere in the ocean, on top of a mountain. You can go there by car too. The road leads directly to the peak, but i find it better if you hike.
MoreSmall parking, many people, there are better places to view sunset.
Brilliant views from the highest point on the island.....just watch those narrow roads though.
MoreVery nice view point. Perfect place to take a breath after hot day on the beach. Travel to mountains is highly recommended to refresh. Remember - every 100 meters up equal 1 degree lower. Highly recommended
MoreSee the real gran canaria loads of walks but download a map first
Wonderful place, I think I found the haven!
Nice view if you into that sort of thing, the roads leading up to it are quite windy. a snack van is parked up in the tiny car park so parking is very limited, no other facilities are available i.e. toilets picknick tables
MoreNice starting point for a hiking. We went from here towards the Roque Nublo. Great views, nice flora. Little bit windy in february but it was a great experience.
MoreWonderful views from the highest point on Gran Canaria. You can clearly see El Teifey, Spains highest mountain, on the neighboring island of Tenerife as well as the volcanic valleys and ridges surrounding the Pico de las Nieves
MoreBeautiful place but unfortunately it became a cloudy day and we couldn’t see much. If you want to go, do it when there are no clouds.
MoreBreathtaking view. Worth the drive. Take a jacket also, its close to freezing
Wow what a wonderful view point! Thanks to the good weather today, we could really see the beautiful landscape on the mountain, and we were above the clouds, absolutely magical feeling ☀️
MoreExcellent view point. Easily accessible v from car, or bike. The roads are wide and easy to drive. The views are magnificent - you get to see a good 300 degrees.Depending on your luck, you will see clouds on one side and non on the other. It’s a really dramatic view. Can get windy so make sure you got something windproof specially in the colder months.
MoreSuper view! You can see different mountains and also Roque Nublo.Easy parking on the side of the road. At the end are some official parking spots but not a lot. There is a food truck as well for some refreshments.
MoreWe visited late November: at the coast it was 23 C, but once you get up here in the mountains it was 8! So dress prepared. It was super cold, and super foggy, but we got some snacks and drinks at the little shop/van as we waited to see if the fog would clear. Thankfully it did eventually, we took some quick snapshots before the fog covered everything again. I can imagine on a clear day you can see so much more of the island. The fog did give an air of mysticism to the trip, so it wasn´t bad.
MoreGreat place to visit. Beautiful view from the top of the island.
High above the clouds. Special to see. Make sure to pack a picnic basket and lots of water. Wear a hat...there is no shade to hide under. Wear hiking shoes...there are lots of hiking trails
MoreAmazing place. You have to go a few steps from parking place up. We had a lot of clouds at sunrise, but in 30 min the best moments and view... Just wait and do nit leave like one man we met...Fully recomended plce by car as well as by walk...
MoreAbsolutely breath-taking views, a must visit if you have a car. Yeah the roads are winding and steep but just just take your time and dont forget suncream. There is a snack van uo there also
MoreWow wow wow . What a stunning place to visit the parking at top isnt the best when busy . And the roads to the summit do take some concentration but worth it . We watched the sun set then went back down to a lower observation deck where the was no light pollution so we could see the stars better as the lights from the military base do effect this from the summit
MoreEvery sundowner is a event at this mirador. But year for year is this point more overcrowed. Today that was a very silly sundowner. There was a mass of Tourists, feel like at piccadilly cirus. You cant believe it. Anyway hopefully next time will be better...
MoreNice view and some guys were there in top peak 😊
Beautiful Views. In clear Days you Cam See the Teide. Its a Beautiful Drive or hike up the Top.
MoreBeautiful landscape above the clouds.
Beautiful view point, even if the car journey up can be a bit scared as very narrow bendy roads on the cliff edge ! But well worth it
MoreIf you go for a short walk on the marked path you will see more than just on the view
MorePfuu, lovely!!! You can see from here big part of the island and ilso the Dunes of Maspalomas, Roque Nublo and a lot of bigs picks and if you are lucky enough you can see clearly Tenerife and the highest point crom Spain , The Teide volcano.
MoreAmazing views and not very crouded. Ill let the pictures do the talking.
AWESOME views. the best on Gran Canaria.Unfortunately, the sightseeing point is about 1min "climbing" from the parking area, so after over 1hr of driving and few minutes up there theres nothing more to do, which means next 1hr of driving back. However, the views from the road are GORGEOUS, the best at Gran Canaria: green fancy shaped hills covered with feeding sheep, pleated hillocks, finally a beautiful distant views of mountains and the ocean. The road is damn curvy though, like all the other mountain roads on the isles, so if you got used to driving thru those serpentines itd be a real pleasure, otherwise you should stay focused on the road as its really tight - and keeping focus is HARD due to awesome landscapes haha ;] The similar trip to Roque Nublo (second highest peak at GCrequired some effort and at least 1hr of hiking in similiar conditions and offered only slightly worse landscapes, however in result it was far more fun than this one.Of course, you may hike all the way up yourself. But actually you may be little disappointed if after few hours of putting some effort in hiking, as a prize youll reach a parking place with a lot of tourists.Yeah the views are excellent, but this place has far more potential than it offers. If you like good views, but dont like getting tired - its a place for you. Others might be slightly disappointed after first positive impression.
MoreBeautiful views of the island’s east and south-east. Usually foggy but the views are worthy
MoreAbsolutely stunning views! If you have a car strong enough to go up the mountain this is a must see spot (if youre renting a cheap car keep it in 1st gear permanently on the steep sections).Note that the parking structure is rather small and there are no bathroom facilities.
MoreThis was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip. We had an amazing day driving in a circular route through the valleys and mountains. We drove from Playa del Ingles, through Aguimes and into the Barranco de Guayadeque, from here we drove on to the Caldera de Marteles and then continued up onto the Pico de las Nieves. After, we drove back through the forests, via Roque Nublo, through the Fataga valley, stopping at Degollada de La Yegua, and then on back to our hotel. That day we must have said "wow" so many times that we would have never kept count. We managed the drive in a small eco friendly automatic Corsa - so dont be put off by the drive! It was slightly unnerving at times with the steepness of the roads and the tight bends, but the scenery more than made up for it. It was a clear and warm day when we went, but oh how windy it was when we arrived at the top! My partner held on to me for dear life as he was worried I was going to blow away. There were some clouds on the day we went, but we thought they just added to the atmosphere at the top - plus, it was still clear enough to see all the way to Mount Teide on Tenerife.100% recommended - and if you were wondering how to slot a visit here into your trip, I would definitely recommend the route that we took.
MoreThis place did not disappoint! The view is amazing. We were able to see Tenerife, and La Gomera right behind it! Fuerteventura was visible to the opposite side. The place is nice and the parking is right there, its pretty spacious, Im writing this even though we hiked 12km from Montana de Tierres through the Barranco de Gayadequr. The road that takes you to this place is like brand new, berry impressed with it.
