A climb up steep steps leads to panoramic views at the top of this contemporary, open-work tower.
Worth the climb. But it’s a decent hike. Would advise to bring water. Great view, went for sunrise, not crowded at all.
The hike was tough. There’s two ways of getting here. One street has a lot more turns and more stairs in the path. The other street was a straight away path. There are A LOT of stairs!!!! The view was really nice but it was a bit cloudy when I went. Still worth it!
Great activity with amazing views. It is a fairly easy hike up...just take the obvious water and snacks
GET READY FOR THE CLIMB!! Not for the weak.. so many steps up and I’m in great shape. Take water if you don’t workout… but keep going. It’s 100% worth every step!!
The view was outstanding but you do need to be prepared for the climb. Although it is not a lot of steps, they are taller and vary in size. It will take you a few minutes to get to the top. You get a nice view of the bay and the backside of the city. If its not 112 I say go for the walk.!
As discussed with my family we agreed that is a 5 start because the walk, the scenery, the adventure and the nature around it was very rewarding. Although, it is quite tiring especially during the summer months because of the humidity, be sure to take water with you.
Very nice view from the top. You need to have strong legs to climb it tho
Thank you for reading the Honest Reviews4u! While visiting Puerto Vallarta you must make some time to visit this place! However before coming I must let you know the day before coming here make sure you hydrated very good and on the day of your visit have a good meal bring water because you are going to need it. As you walk like a zillion steps once at the top you will have a breath taking view of the city, ocean and green land scape. Very popular place especially to see the sunset and feel the fresh breeze of clean air. Highly recommend this place!!👍🏼
What a trek to the top! Didnt take long but felt like an eternity of stairs! Worth the view!Bring water & wear sneakers!
Pump the legs and lungs and walk up to see some stunning views over PV 💫 its quite steep and lots of steps but well worth the walk up here in you are in area 👌
This is a must do steep hill and stair climb to the best views in Puerto Vallarta. It is not for someone who is out of shape but most people if they take their time can make it to the top. I seen people at sunset drinking wine up there and seems like a great place just to hang out.
Short but very steep walk up and then steep walk up a whole bunch of stairs, well worth the effort to get a great panorama of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas!! Bring water.
What a view! And what a workout getting to it. Way worth it.. Although there are many people here every sunset it seems.
So worthwhile the walk up the gazillions steps! Go early 8-9am while it is cool. Not that strenuous as can take your time climbing all those steps. Easy climb, just a lot of steps. Panoramic View at the top was so worth it. I did not even break a sweat.
A pretty steep climb up starting from the town . Rewarded by unobstructed views of the town and miles of coastline. Well worth the hike.
Quite a hike to get up all the stairs, but the view is amazing.
This is an excellent hike, especially in the AM before the sun comes over the mountains. It is steep especially at the end which is an ascent up stairs. The view is great and the cardio and leg work out is a bonus 💪
Great views of the city but be ready for a hike cause the elevation gain is no joke. Soooo many stairs but absolutely worth the techno
Worthy sunset lookout point but make sure you bring water and wear comfortable sneakers for the climb. It is all stairs and roughly a 10-15 minute climb from the end of the inclined street.
If you can survive the steep roads and 1 billion stairs! Youll Love it! Awesome views, the tram no longer runs there, so your steppin it up. No washrooms or water available at top...only the amazing views and self-satisfaction that you made it without oxygen! 😝😁Come up Abasolo Rd. from Malecon up the 800 of elevation (Same as 80 story buildings stairwell 😂lots of fun. Try it!
Amazing views of the entire bay of Puerto Vallarta. The steep streets, and narrow step stairs up to the top are well worth the workout.Just at the base of the stairs before going up to the top, you might find a little street vendor selling bottles of water. We stopped and had a chat with the lady that runs it from her debt porch on the way back down. She also offers a local frozen fruit popsicle like delicious refreshment! After that descent from the staircase that are amazing. Made from in season local fresh fruits! Definitely, a hidden gem for the adventure!
Amazing view, but what a climb! Dont take it lightly, bring water for sure. The neighborhoods and houses along the way were cool to look at too. DONT expect the cable car to work, looks like its been years since it moved.
Such great scenery. A bit of a hike up hills and stairs but totally worth it.
Beautiful views when you get to the top.hard walk with more stairs than I wanted to count. Bring water there is no place to get any once you start climbing.
The way is not hard like Id looks. Very good the view , you need to see the city just within a different view.
Must do for sunset good challenging hike (depending upon your fitness levelsand within a super interesting neighborhood with some good looking restaurants nearby
Nice reward (viewat the top for a very steep walk up the hill. Excellent at sunrise as the far reaches of the bay get the mornings first light. Bring water and a camera.
I hiked to the Mirador from the Malecon. Quite arduous and I had to stop a few times to catch my breath. There was a funicular for the last part but it wasnt functional so I had to take the steps. The view at the top is quite beautiful.
Highly recommend. You have the view of the ocean, mountains and the city on the top. It is not difficult. Took us maybe 20min to go to the top
Stunning view and a great workout to get up there. Chill vibe once at the top and plenty of space to just relax and take it all in and decompress.
Gorgeous views of ALL of Puerto Vallarta! Must see if visiting. Both ocean and mountain views. The walk up there is a killer! Very steep and tons of stairs. Fair warning be prepared. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Their was only two restrooms there. (Male and Female). However it was not open when i visited! BEWARE, take water and go to restroom before even heading out. Nothing to drink or buy up there. I did run into a gentleman that does sell drinks and ice popsicles right before going up the stairs.
So just to give you a heads up… if you are overweight this is going to be difficult. I am 6 foot almost 400lbs and almost died. Haha. Not really but it was rough. Bring water because you are going to sweat. I had fun. The views were amazing.
Not for the faintest of hearts. The steps towards the top can get very steep and the steps are very short for people with big feet. It’s quick to get up, but also very tense at the same time. Getting down will probably be hard for people who are afraid of heights. Take your time getting up there. Seriously. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes. You’ll need them for sure. Overall, it has nice views of Puerto Vallarta up there. See it for yourself.
The hike up is insane. I mean really. Craving some exercise? Do this, but make sure you bring a liter of water and take breaks!Enjoy!
beautiful view great for picturesgood exercise
Beautiful view. Many many many stairs so be prepared. There is a tiny snack stand up at the top with Gatorade and things luckily
Challenging but well worth the climb! Breathtaking views. Wear good shoes and bring water. We were offered cold drinks up top.
It was a challenging trek up there, but the stair were in good condition. The weather worked out for us, so we got lucky there. The view and exercise was totally worth it.
The most amazing view. Easy google map, short distance from the malecon to get around the streets heading up the hill. What a great work out from walking up the steep streets to get to the many, high long way up stairs; so worth it! Platform is very well built with several levels to view and with shade. You can not come to Vallarta with out visiting the mirador.
Beautiful panoramic view of Puerto Vallarta. Make some nice picture if you come in the morning since the sun is behind. Lots of stair and steep hill so bring water. Only take a out 10-15 min to gt up. The neibourhood on the way fown are beautiful amd worth exploring for couple hours walking around.
Mirador Cerro de la Cruz is an awesome place to go on for a sight seeing adventure. The street that it is on is very steep and going up the staircase of many steps is even more of a challenge. I do not recommend people with health problems, such as heart and breathing issues. As for the unfit, I recommend to take breaks along the way. The staircase is well laid out as well as the observation decks. The view is amazing when you get there. It is recommended that you go in the early morning to see the sunrise or evening for the sunset. We went in the afternoon and we made sure we had water and sunscreen lotion. I feel this is was a great excursion for a couple of hours and well worth climb up and done.
Amazing View and quite a walk to get here! Saw a whale 🐋 come up out of the water! One of my favorites of Puerto Vallarta. Can be scary for little kids with the heights, so be careful!
Spectacular view of the entire city. The walk up and the walk down are equally challenging. Be prepared for maximum effort and wear good shoes. Recommend doing the trek early in the morning before it gets too hot. Not very busy or sought after tourist attraction as it takes some work. If you can though - do it!
According to our phones it was 35 floors of stairs to get to the top observation deck. The views were worth every step.
Great workout with Great reward! The climb will make you sweat but the view will make you smile (and the breeze at the top will dry you off - haha). Many many steps to climb all the way up (the elevator type thing isnt in operation). Not too many people during the day. Recommend going in the morning when its cool outside.
Great hike...strenuous. 200 stairs to climb and about 15-20 min to reach the base of the stairs from Central PV. I made the mistake of doing this at around 10 AM and it was already 90° with about 70 to 80% humidity. That was brutal!! I ended up making it to the top and waiting about an hour so that a nearby restaurant I wanted to try could open up (it opened at 12 noon). If I did this again, I would definitely do it much earlier in the AM or after 4p when the sun wouldn’t be so strong because it was rough....I’m not used to this kind of weather! Amazing views 🤩 make sure your phone is charged so you can take some pictures!
Great exercise with a very nice rewarding view at the destination. A piece of the past on the road a little before the stairs. A small piece of land with resident donkeys living there. The nice people at the house near the beginning of the stairs will sell you some water for your trip.
Spectacular view, challenging climb, bring water. Once you get to the bottom of staircase start counting 265 stairs to climb and then another flight up to the observation deck. Donkeys available at a cost to help with walk
Stunning views of the ocean, city, and surrounding hills. Highly recommend. The 20 minute hike up the stairs to the look out is well worth it. Quite steep, and a bit challenging to find, but very rewarding. Make sure you bring some water!
A lot of stairs but not a difficult hike. The view changes as you go higher so make sure you look back to see the beautiful city and ocean view every few stairs you walk. We spent about 2 hours there which includes going up and down, sitting at the top and taking pictures. Then we just walked back down to the beach and get some refreshments
