103 Gaunt St, London SE1 6DP, Tskhinvali
Flagship all-night club from trailblazing global dance and house music brand.
i would give it 0 stars if i could.the security was extremely ableist towards me, i am autistic, and do not look like the stereotypical autistic person. they said i was ‘too drunk’ when i tripped over the fencing and forced me to sit outside in the cold for over 2 hours. the security berated me and watched as I had multiple panic attacks.they only listened to me and my friend, when i called my sister in tears and she talked to them over the phone.following this, we were taken to the staff room, where we were forced to move, after less than. an hour, to ‘enjoy the party’ even though i was clearly still in a vulnerable state.the staff clearly do not care for the wellbeing of the customers, nor do they have the proper training to deal with all potential situations.this experience completely changed my outlook on ministry of sound, i loved it beforehand.but this experience makes me feel sick when i look back and was evidently mishandled.
Every was good. Sound System was amazingBut the security look very bad and disrespectfully its very better some one on church be there for accept complain
So bad experience honestly If you want to go out then go to the centre of London and don’t lose your time here staff is so rough and security doesn’t let you come in without any good reason even people who was inside was saying that they were going somewhere because the experience was so bad, toilets so dirty, staff and security so rough. Will not recommend at all.
My self and two other friends we planed to visit this club , when we reached at the entrance of the club we was stopped by security guy and told us that he cannot allow us to enter coz we are Stags , the security guy told us to get female friend in order to get entry to this club , we requested him a lot by being very polite but he refused . And told us to email customer care in order get our refunds for the tickets which we booked online. We was very much disappointed after a hearing all this . And there was no other options left , so we had to book Uber cab and head home
Security just pushed me out of their way for no good reason, causing me too fall, wasnt like I was doing anything as I wasnt escorted off the premises. Just bouncers gone power mad. venue is pricy and the club didnt even live up to expectations. wont ever be returning.
Amazing venue and barstaff are super friendly! Great music as well.Unfortunately door staff are very rude and on a power trip who make unnecessary and rude comments upon entering. They really let the overall experience down.
I like the venue due to the multiple rooms with different genres of music. However the prices for drinks are absolutely ridiculous - around £12 for a double. And the staff are really rude which made me not want to go back. The vibe was off
I went here last night (Tuesday 25th October 2022and had a great night with my friend. Music was amazing, crowd was huge and bar staff were nothing but friendly and welcoming. I had the best time. However there was a security guard in the outside area who was so rude. He was stood by the outside exit in the corner. We went and sat outside for a smoke and rudely tapped my shoulder and told me not to smoke and if I wanted to smoke I needed to move over there. I apologised and explained I thought I could smoke wherever I wanted in the garden to which he scoffed and gave me a dirty look so me and my friend moved away because we felt uncomfortable. Then a girl approached him saying she needed to leave the club as she had lost her friend. We were sat in the same spot eating popcorn later that night as there were no seats when he yet again tapped my shoulder rudely and told me to shift and get out the way. Then when we were leaving we were exiting through the back gate and while leaving he told me to go on and get out. He didn’t ruin our night however left a mark on it that I didn’t enjoy. I work in hospitality myself and have bouncers at the bar I work at and would be nothing but furious with them if they spoke to any customer that way. Other than that the place is a great place to visit and has an incredible atmosphere. Just avoid the gate if he’s there.
The sound is great at the venue and I’ve been a few times to the Piano People event. It’s a very organized venue with great events. Luckily, there are plenty of women’s toilet, so you don’t really have to queue ever.
Everybody farts a lot there so we have to either get perfume inside or air freshener all the rooms because it stinks more than a gym full of sweat and it’s not a gym. Please do something about the smell problem as the sweat and farts mix in the fog is unbearable.
A mythical house music club from the 90s, where good music continues to be played, like yesterday with @laidbackluke.But I was a little disappointed...1The entrance area is not in line with the fame of this club.2The interior, despite having several rooms with different DJs and musical styles, has remained in the past and has not evolved as the of clubs of Ibiza or NYC.Although my experience there has not been bad (despite the fact that the security is too rude and the drinks are excessively expensive), I expected more from a club as mythical as MoS.
The security team were awful. First they are either racist, mistook my boyfriend for someone else, or they judged him by the way he looked/dressed, so they started questioning and accusing him when he hadn’t even gone inside the club yet. It seems like they target specific people based on looks rather than their behaviour - we hadn’t even had a drink by then and were very well behaved. I was also just standing there waiting for my boyfriend doing nothing (not blocking the entrance or anyone), and they just started having a go at me for being there. If I can’t be there, ask nicely… no reason to be rude. The guy scanning the tickets also had an attitude.Wasn’t like this before. Whole atmosphere and vibe ruined. Learn to respect.I’d also like to add that on a previous occasion that they had staff/security look underneath the cubicles in the toilets when I was peeing. This also happened to my male friend as he was taking a dump. A tall male security looked over the cubicle and made eye contact during a very private moment. Very uncomfortable situation, absolute invasion of privacy and they should be sued.Just see for yourself all the complaints about security and yet all MOS will do is give a generic response and not actually deal with the security issues. I’m not going to waste my time again just to repeat the same thing in an email - better off speaking to a civil rights lawyer instead…
Terribly overpriced, £9.80 for a single is more expensive than a ticket for most clubs. Play repetitive house tunes in most rooms. Loft is ok but always overcrowded
It is a great venue, with definitely one of the loudest and cleanest sound systems out there, its generally at least half full of students, if not more who can get overenthusiastic, but rarely have I had problems here, food was good, but brace yourself for the full force of Londons drink prices
Fab experience. My last visit was about 30 years ago. It’s still great and Heather Small still a legend 🤩
Medical stafff said that we can go back in after getting our friend to Uber , but they didn’t let us in , so we basically wasted our money. Worst club in the world, security is rude and not considering
I went to ministry of sound for my birthday last night and I can say it was the most disappointing night I have ever had. The security men are awful and rude one guy in particular. Also the manager that he said to be was very unprofessional and not helpful. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re wanting to go and have fun on a night out they will just kick u out for no reason. Very disappointing.
Worst club in London… definitely a lot off underage people and the worst music I ever heard in my life. 20£ is an insane entrance fee for such an disappointing club. One stage were completely empty and multiple songs where played twice in a night. To be avoided at all cost.🤮
Just a bunch of racists running an underground drug scene. The ratio is terrible and there is a strict entry policy against people of colour. If youre not white - skip this place. These people are still stuck in the Dark Ages.
Absolutely ridiculous. They refuse entry after paying for the ticket online because apparently we haven’t heard of the band. The bouncer is a racist and saw this issue happening with others. Will report to the police.
Loved every second of my first and will not be last trip to MOS, might be 45 but what a night, very impressed with how clean & tidy the place is kept too. The sound system and laser lights were awesome, BrillAnt atmosphere and staff friendly too. Epic 31st birthday to MOS night, can’t wait to return.
The security people didn’t let us in and they were so abusive as well for no reason. We paid £22 and we didn’t even get to enjoy the music.
NEVER EVER going to this place again.❌ The security personnel were so bad and abused us with racist remarks. They did not let my friend in, and they stated that she was “too drunk”. Well, other people were too drunk and abusive as well, but we were decent enough, and my friend wanted to use the restroom, and that would sober her down. I personally felt that they were targeting a set of people or had a quota to not allow people in. They told us to come back after an hour, and we did, and she was completely sober, but still, you know what the security kept telling us “she needs to sober down,” and are we not entitled to a restroom for the ticket we had bought? 🤢
The biggest, and worst club in Lodon, staff are so rude and aggressive. Some staff are trying to do some scams to get some more money. if you complain that, they are gonna put the blame on you, say "it is your fault" and charge you more. I am always curious, How they can hire only rude staff and they work at the same place lol.
Getting rejected because youre too drunk isnt cool. The security seem to just pick and choose who and when they want. The come back in an hour speech from them just puts a downer on the night.. M of S is ofc, iconic. But get better security and not idiots.
These guys are scammers and will ruin your night. Do not come unless you want your night ruined.Very poor experience for both times I have been here. Do not come here as there is a chance they have oversold your tickets and you won’t be allowed in. They say they have ‘already scanned your ticket’, but it was not. They would’ve oversold their tickets and now you are stuck outside and not allowed in. I have seen it happen for other people in the queue as well. What a waste of space, if I could give 0 stars I would.
Worst club to attend. I was accused of doing balloons in the line of the club by security which I wasn’t, when I asked the security guard to provide me with this information that supposedly there was a picture of me, The security guard couldn’t do I was turned away and disrespect by there members of staff being told I was lair. The security guard told me to speak to the manager and the manger was telling me to speak to him. Complete waste of my time and wouldn’t recommend anyone to turn up to this club run by thugs security.
My friend got attacked by 4 guys, then the bouncers proceed to kick him out and make no effort to find the perpetrators of the assault. Then the bouncers went on a power trip and told us we had to leave the street.
Head of Security totally rude. Made my female partner feel unsafe being surrounded by 3 men. When I’ve gone over I was questioned for my presence. I said I would like to be a witness to this situation (3 men surrounding my partner), then head of security told me I’m rude and escorted me and my partner out. Believe security is under the influence of drugs for they’re rash decision making and they’re sweaty chewing sweaty jaw. Nasty!
Love this place. Great sound, good drink prices, and usually a good lineup without the harsh prices. Would definitely recommend a visit for EDM folks.
Was disappointed. Got shoved on the floor nearly buy some woman it wasnt even that packed. There was no lassers no drama, just music. We left and went to Corsica Studio they was holding-Unicron gay club night it was excellent.
Literally never had a bad experience here - I love the club and have been here more times than any other club in London. Drinks are expensive in almost every club, not just here. The layout of MOS is really cool and each room has a distinctive feel. They support small promoters and huge acts alike which is excellent. Theres sometimes talk about people being unhappy with genres of music that they werent expecting - all the line ups are published on MOSs website. From there, you can search for artists and see if the night is what you were after.
Not gonna lie, it was horrible. Not worth my entry fee and had no ambience. I’d literally spend my money any other club in London and there is better ambience. I ended up going to a cheap pub round the corner and saving the night. I’ve been to a lot of clubs and this one was by far the worst. We went at peak time on a Saturday night and it was very underfilled for the size of club and everybody was standing multiple metres apart. Even earlier on they were playing basically the same heavy music in each room at different volumes and almost no one was dancing. There was no ambience and drinks were so expensive at £8 a tequila shot. Everybody was standing awkwardly around, which was weird. Also they searched me so extensively and put their hands down my bra when I entered, which was fine with me but probably too invasive for many. Tickets on discount were 15£ for me but for my friend had to pay 30£ and we left after 1hr. It was hyped up so much, and while the venue is nice, it didn’t live up to any expectation that I had.
I stumbled a little bit outside and I got pulled into the cool down area where people were being sick. I knew straight away I was not nearly drunk enough to warrant this. Then they put a heart rate monitor on my wrist and kept me there without my consent. Eventually I convinced one of the workers I was obviously fine and he let me back in and said I couldnt have another drink. I understand looking out for people but theres a right way to go about it and doing things against peoples will is tapped.
I was there first time, but it’s looks like very safe night club. Really good atmosphere and the sound is absolutely amazing
If your looking for some classic ministry of sound, good DJs who can actually mix and cross fade or rooms that play the music they advertise then this is not the place for you. Crowd and bouncers seemed absolutely fine to me, cheese room DJ seemed to be the only competent DJ there.Overall a complete let down.
Lifetime experience to have been a DJ playing at MOS.. dream come true.. totally loved the experience.. security shld have better communication skills, no need to be harsh with guests, you dont always know who you are talking to especially when they explain themselves... the staff very helpful..
Never had a bad experience. Bouncers are really respectful and nice (quite rare for London clubs), atmosphere always on point and quite well priced. Always a good night out!
It’s a great club but the bouncers were completely unreasonable. We were a group of five (males and femalesand one of us wasn’t let in because he was „too drunk“. He was literally the least drunk of us, he had one beer and was picked on for no reason at all. Completely inappropriate and false accusations. We understand that the bouncers were doing their job but obviously have no knowledge on how to judge who’s drunk / in a state to go in or not, as they let a bunch of obnoxiously drunk girls in but not him. We had to wait 20min in the cold outside untouched they deemed him „sobered up“. Their reasoning was completely unfounded and inappropriate, when I asked them for their reasoning in deeming him “too drunk” they literally just said: “because he’s too drunk” ????? Actually kinda scary that the bouncers can’t tell the difference.
Great venue. Easy entrance and multiple rooms. Extremely loud sound system. Went to see Robin Shultz and left at 3:30AM and he still had not come on. Disappointing but still had a good time. Expensive drinks. Still a good night with friends if you want to go hard
This is one of my favourite clubs in London. The music is always great and the bass in the box will shake your insides.Always a good vibe and the security staff do a great job of keeping a nice atmosphere.Be careful when asking for drinks, as some of the bar staff will pour you the most expensive drink when asking for spirits even if you just want the house spirit.
MOS used to be an ultimate 5* experience in the past 10 years. Yes, it’s crowded, yes, it’s overpriced, but it’s a night club, so you should not expect it differently.Staff, including security are friendly, obviously you need to behave and act like a decent human being, if you want to be treated as one.But I just had my worst clubbing experience last night since I visit Ministry. Don’t mind the excessive search at the entrance, club is full of people under influence of drugs, ruining the party for others. Walking around uncontrollably and bumping into others on purpose, hitting someone’s head by not being control of movement of arms, pushing and tossing to create extra space for themselves. I’m happy to do pogo dance in punk rock concert, but not in an EDM club, where you really just like to dance. I felt I was in the middle of an overcrowded boxing ring and fighting rather than enjoying some good music. Those kind of behaviour should be monitored, and aggressive and uncontrollable individuals should be taken out as they are not only a hazard for themselves but for others around as well. It’s not something new, I have witnessed it happening on several occasions, when security took out overdosed guests. If not enough security, maybe the less ticket should be sold. Please don’t ruin the MOS experience by lowering the standard of crowd control.
The worst clun in the Uk. They literally sent me out and I do not know the reason. They detained my friend my fiends and would let me use the bathroom as well. Very poor staff along with poor security. The worst club I have ever been. Would not recommend anyone. Please do bot come here. They are so bad and hight of themselves. Their attitude towards us was unimaginable.Plus I was cold outside and asked If I can take my keys and they even did not let me.For gods sake please do not go there.
Very bad experience 06.04.2022, I went with my friends and they got tickets only me I didn’t and one person on the last gate in the club told me that I can come in 1,5 hour and he would probably will enter me in, I come and all security stuff was rude, that just say to people across a road and they just stay there for nothing, without reason, security was rude and disrespectful all the people was just waiting for nothing, I’m sorry for this experience because I know the music in this place really good 😢🥺
MINISTRY OF HELL. Ive had the WORST experience I could ever imagine last night at Aloks gig. I bought my tickets WEEKS AGO and waited in the queue for 3 HOURS and wasnt allowed to enter the event. They OVERSOLD tickets and there was no way of anyone else entering. There were HUNDREDS of people on the queue facing the same situation, having to wait outside in the cold with no access to a toilet or any other facility.Ive seen several people that managed to enter the venue were simply kicked out from the event due to overcrowding, and many of them, including women, showed signals of aggression and physical abuse from the security guards.Ive been trying in many ways to get a refund and theres no customer service to help me out.Its unbelievable that this place is allowed to open in London. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Great ticket prices for a great trance party lineup , stunning visuals with great sound , only downside would be the drinks prices
It is mostly a London (Queen Marycollege students party and if your not one of those students you’ll be in the back of the club dancing with older people. It is a great club cause they had 3 separate rooms with 3 Djs on the bottom floor and then a VIP room which you have to buy more to get into on the 2nd floor.
One of my favourite nigh clubs in London. I have been there twice, once for a neon party and another time for a bank holiday event. The neon party was absolutely amazing with perfect music and crowd. The second event was alright too, but it didn’t have the best music.
Best nightclub in the uk that i have been too. Phenomenal soundsystem, the box needs to be heard to be believed. Drinks pricy tho!
We went yesterday night and the club its cool, but pricey. 7.50£ for a 0.33l beer its too much guys. Anyway I enjoyed it. 4 different rooms with 4 djs.
