Miniature Replicas of Angkor's Temples in Siemreab

This place is small. There is a $2 fee to go inside. Once inside you will see the miniature replicas of the temples. You dont much much time here, max 20 mins. You get to walk around. Its small area so not much walking. Coming here will give you an idea just how massive the temples really are.

Its nice and small and a bit less maintained than it appears to have been, yet worth a visit. Really interesting to see that piece of art and stunning craftsmanship.

Definitely worth a visit when youre around or on the way to Angkor Wat.You see the place suffered from Covid as all is a bit shattered, there are no tourists at all at this place you can enjoy it for yourself.Entry fee is $2 which is not cheap for what you get but youll support this fantastic place.The owner is a very friendly guy who works as a tour guide and tells you a lot about the place.

Go as a nostalgic refugee rescuer, and you will find peace of mind here. These minis were impeccable when someones Grandpa put his heart and soul into this stone. Like the Angkor Wat park itself, time has robbed this family of his dream. But they wont last as long as the World History Site. So visit with the mind of donating to milk and rice for 3 under 10 years old.

Small place. I guess if the artist explains his work to you it would be a different experience. For us it was a 15 min walk around visit.

It is very cool. Its a very quick visit though. The yard it occupies is very messy. Not much care had been taken to its presentation. That being said, is a brilliant work of art made by one of the last remaining masters left from the Khmer Rouge atrocities. Go see it.

Small but interesting place to visit. The old man took 1.5 years to complete building the miniature version of angkor wat. Impressive!

What an amazing place to visit. His owner, is so passionate about his work. He will give you a personal tour in the place, and show you his pictures with the king and his drawings. A place hidden in Angkor that is completely worth it to visit.

This place is totally worth a visit if only to meet Dy Proeung the creator. The sweetness and genuineness of his character is hard to express. The man is a national treasure whose achievements have been recognized by the king of Cambodia and is one of the few surviving artists past the Khmer Rouge era. He created his replicas of the temples from memory. Strangely this place has few visitors.

Very cute. Needs support as is very basic. The story is wonderful. Only $2. Great for an hour.

Thoroughly enjoyed meeting the chatty 82 year young, architect-artist of these wonderful miniatures. Definitely put a visit here on your agenda. Admiring the sculptures would take you about 15-20 minutes but easily add another 15 to listen to his personal stories of Cambodian history over the last 50 odd years.

Amazing little place. The artist is lovely and would talk your ear off. He is so proud of his work and rightly so. 2 US dollars per per person and children 1/2 a dollar (cost us 5 - 2 Adults and 2 Children).

If you want to see a real artisan you have to come here. The old men shows you his history, a refugee from Red khmer war, did by hand miniatures of Angkor Thom temples. 2 dolars per adult to see this beautiness. Worth the visit.

The author of miniatures welcomed us and told us everything about how he made those miniatures, he is very nice, friendly and kind, and was very happy that we came.

Is worth the visit, Dy is wonderful. He introduced everything he made and showed us around. Even though it is small, we enjoyed the visit....he even showed us the real crocodiles from his secret gaden

He is such a nice guy an absolute legend. He survived the pot pot and as you may know 90% of artists and intellectuals were killed. The place is small but what he has accomplished is incredible. And also you can see crocodiles there ask him where it is.

Interesting to-scale replicas of many temples that took the sculpture (DY Proeungmany years to accurately build. DY is a friendly guy who is eager to show you around and tell you the history. He has a lot of energy for an 84 year old and he speaks and reads English and French. Worth a visit.

The artist was working when I visited this museum. He briefly introduced homself and works, and then concentrated again on his work. there are miniatures of Angkor War, Banteay Srye, and Bayon temples. remember to go on the roof and look down on the samples.a small but interesting place to visit.

A nice and unique place to take photos. The creatir wasnt around when we visited there, but an old lady was there and greet us. She was so nice and gave 1 mini sculpture to our baby as a gift

The artist was not around when I visited. On its own, the place is quite rundown and not really worth seeing, unless you really love miniatures.

The place was interesting and nice, and the entry pass just 2 dollars. Other than seeing the angkor miniature, you also can hear the life story and lesson from the sculpture himself. It was so detailed, and looks just like the real one.

Very interesting and the gentleman who did them and told us about his history during the Khmer rouge and afterwards. A good storyteller. He is 82 and one of the few educated survivors of the atrocities.

The owner has an incredible and sad life story as well as having created stunning miniatures of Angkor Wat. This should be a far more highly visited place in Siem Reap.

A replica of Angkor Wat and some other temples located in a small yard, you can see them and take pictures for 1.5 dollars. The architect himself runs the place. He gladly shares his insight on Pol Pot times and modern Cambodian politics.

Incredible visit and a great insight into so many aspects of Angkor Wat and the war.

A great man, the now 80+ year old who made the miniatures by hand. They were amazing to see, especially considering the work he put to make them. But it was even nicer to meet and speak with him, see his how happy and proud he is when talking about his work and his life.

Most of the Wat has been destroyed you can still enjoy the Angkor wat, mostly. The place could be much better if they maintain the garden, the replicas etc... Such a disappointment.Im not sure the cost (1,5$ in Feb.2018worth it !

Its a good place to visit in Siem Reap. The place is not that big but the STORY is.The artist (Mr. Dy Praungis one in the archeological team who surveyed Angkor Wat and Bayon Temple. He made the scaled replicas all by himself, they all are very detailed.The sketchbooks of Angkor Wat and Bayon Temple he owned is very interesting, too.The artist is now 81 (Jan 2018). He has lots of stories to tell from how they made the survey to the story of Khmer Rogue.Do not forget to give him some nice tips 😉

I met the owner/maker of this place on my visit, it happened to be his 81st birthday. He gave me a guided tour of his small but very interesting yard, where his sculptures are kept. Also I was able to see his drawings and amazingly detailed sketches of several of the more famous temples in cambodia. His stories of survival throughout the Khmer Rouge are quite astounding.

The old man (82years)who built these miniatures told us stories about his projects and his life.Not an easy one.Someone should write them down and publish a book. Respect.

Spent the last two days looking at temples and still enjoyed seeing these mini ones and meeting the artist. Good for a birds eye view of what youve seen. His drawings were great too!

Its nice small place of one old artist, khmer hospitality and owner are ready to told about his art. Close to Bakong temple I saw another same style models.

It is a shame is not big but they have the intention to offer an attraction. Visit to support the local woman and the builder of those scale temple.

A small place to escape to. The elderly man is really proud of his work and is eager to explain his work. I think he was sad I didnt take a pic. Do visit if you have the time

Amazing miniature replicas of Angkor Wat and Bayon. The guy how made them is incredibly interesting and happy to talk. He worked on the original technical drawings on the 60s, then had to hide them from the Khmer Rouge. He has the original drawings, and pictures from when the king of cambodia and UNESCO gave him awards.

We were able meet the man that made the miniatures. It took him 4 years to build Angkor Thom. Not a large place, but very interesting.

There are some awesome replicas made by hand. The Sr. who is in the pictures built this.

Good place to come visit if you have 10 minutes to kill. Theres only a few miniatures to see. Theyre pretty impressive and the $1.50 entry fee is pretty fair for what you can see.
