General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Baggabag B
Natural area with a river, rock formations & activities such as cliff diving, fishing & raft rides.
We travel from Laur going to Gen Tinio/Minalungao, just to find out that the said Minalungao National park is CLOSED. The person who stopped us still collects fee of 50/head upon entering, he said we cant enter Minalungao but didnt exactly explain that the resort is totally CLOSED. Upon further drive, you will walk down to see the river (away from the actual resort and just a small part of the wall rocks in distance. ALERT: Not worth of travelling and visiting the Minalungao at present ☹️ (August 2022)
It was an amazing experience we had enjoyed. The wonderful rock formation, the bamboo rafting, the mountain climbing adventure plus the hanging bridge experience..On top of them is the cool running water of the river where everyone of us had really enjoyed swimming.
A nice nature place to visit.
Mesmerizing by the Beauty of Nature. 😍💚🤎
The actual park is still close but you can visit the nearby resorts around.
The vehicles are not allowed to enter. One shall park the car and take a tricycle (50 PHP per personor walk. Bicycle is ok to pass. There are no additional charges than that. There is a concrete path on the right side of the stream that leads to the cave. The is also nice hanging bridge to cross to the other side of the stream.
The place was great. The water was so clear. Not so many visitors when we visited. This is one of the best nature park weve been so far.
Its worth the travel. Unfortunately, the minalungao national park itself is already close. So we have to choose from one of the other available resorts there. Anyways, they have Affordable floating cottages and entrance fee is only 50pesos. There is not much things to do but it is a nice place to just relax and get in touch with nature.
Beautiful natural rock formations. Water is the coldest greenest I have seen in awhile. Trail good for newbies. Facilities not very well maintianed tho. At the same time they should do something about the noisy motorcycles with open pipes coming in and out of the park, this is a protected DENR national park so they should be protecting nature from noise pollution!
Biking adventures in the Central Luzon. You’d definitely want to take a dip after a long pedaling session. Locals made floating bamboos, you can take your bikes with you and bathe in the flowing waters. 🌊🍃
Well it looked pretty on the outside but unfortunately i wasnt able to go inside due to CoVid19 restrictions. I didnt want to wait in the queue. Heres a tip make sure you follow the route that passes through gapan. MEMORIZE it. Dont rely on the voice prompts or youll end up on the Minalungao Trail. Ask me how i know. :(
Its a fun way of spending your weekend, nature hikes are available and lots of fun stuff to do. You can swim, rent balsa, cliff dive, spelunking, atv rides, zipline, or brave the 1000+ stairs towards the summit of the nearby hill.As of recent"february" they are more leniently accepting visitors. Not too crowded as well and very shaded area so you can really relax.Attached some photos of the river and mostly spend my time braving the stairs.
Hidden Paradise of Gen. Tinio Nueva Ecija...you will love this place..wow na wow!!!!200 for the entrance fee...if you want to rent a "balsa" you can have it for 800 pesos good for 8 pax life vest included and you can enjoy swimming!!!
Limestone Caves, Zipline across the river, 1000 steps to the Grotto, thats one gateway adventure.
Good for quick nature adventure. Things to enjoy here: (1trek to the mountain top whilst enjoying bamboo fields, meditate on Gods word printed on tarpaulins perched along the trail. (2Scenic view while in the hanging bridge. (3Lunch over balsa. Drenching in the cold river.
A good place for hiking and exploring. You can also swim in the river and explore the rocks formation aa well.
For the budget youll need here... Its waaay cheap and accessible. Amazing amazing Nature Park. I hope we get to have more Nature Parks opened in Philippines.
Another must-visit place. If youre into hiking and swimming this is the place for you. It does not require so much hiking though but if youll go and try their zipline youll need to get through some steps. And its going to be worth the effort. Id love to come back soon. Hopefully with the gang again.
Our family had fun at Minalungao National Park. Hope the government and private parties could maintain the beauty of the National Park.
It is beautiful place for one day trip. Just 3 hours drive from Manila. Vegetarian food is not available so do carry food items without. The lunch at bamboo floating shack is nice experience. The water is clean and you can swim there. Do visit once and have fun filled day amidst nature.
Generally a nice place to visit if you are within the vicinity of Central Luzon - with various activities for the active youth such as zipline, climbing to the cross, cave, hanging bridge, and swimming. For the elderly, they can enjoy the beautiful scenery and have lunch in a balsa (raft); though we didn’t try the balsa as we thought it was expensive for a group of 3. There’s entrance fee of Php 100 per adult; Php 50 for the car parking; around Php 800 for the balsa rent; Php 400 for the cottage rent. It is advisable to get a tour guide if you would like to explore the place. Life vests are provided. There’s also hotel accommodation near the place.
The place has a nice view you just have to be there early as 6am to enjoy the silence and the place. Coz its!Pretty popular many tourist came here and you dont want photobomber on your instagramable photos so come early. There are also activities to choose from we almost did all and swim ad eat lunch on the boat after. We left at 1300 coz in short period of time we felt tired and satisfied.
Love this place!, if your are looking for a different scene other than beach then this is a good place for you. But there is not much here other than rocky place, a cave and a 20-30 min. Hike to the mountain top, where you will see a 10mtrs height cross. You can rent a "balsa" ( made of bamboo boat for 800Php, good for 8 person, then if you opt just to stay in-land, you can rent the mini cottages for 400 Php. Theres a fee for the life vest for each person, but if you choose the balsa, the vest is free for the 8 people of balsa. I am not sure how much is the vest if you choose the inland cottages, but I am sure its not expensive. By the way entrance fee is 100 pesos per head adult to infant doesnt matter to them LOL as long its a head LOL. Park fee is 50 Php too. But parking space is spacious enough. There will some offers to you if youd like to have a tour guide, but I dont know the price for them I just did not see any reason to have a tour guide if its only a cave and a mountain hike which there is a trail and youll not get lost, but then again its your choice. 😁. There is also a overnight stay and I also dont know how much or how does it work, but I heard that they dont allow any swimming during night because of the strong current of the lake. So good luck and enjoy guy.
Minalungao National Park, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija.Clean river, beautiful rock formation and well maintained restroom
I really enjoyed my day trip here with the family. We rode a bus from Cubao QC and was dropped off before reaching Cabanatuan. Locals know this place so it was easy to hire a tricycle going to this place. Travel is quite long and tiring but the place has interesting views and enough attractions to keep you busy the whole day. These include the 1000 steps to the glass cross, spelunking and relaxing in your floating cottage. I just wish the restrooms and bathrooms were cleaner and more spacious to accommodate the influx of tourists. Foods being sold in the area were cheap, which made our trip more enjoyable.
Beautiful place. We rented a floating cottage which served as our ride to the swimming spot, our locker room, and our lunch venue. The water was cool and clear and had a slightly strong current. The 1,000-step climb to the hill was also worth it as we were welcomed by a breath-taking view.
Nice place, but too many people (we come a sunday in summer so maybe come again an other time if you can). Water, ziplane, souvenirs and just rest here). You can also climb a little for the grotte.
Clear ,clean and cold water. Enjoy the view of rock formations, they have also many activities like floating cottage etc.
A lot of people came to this place and even foreigners to see and enjoy in this amazing place with a clean and fresh water.Theres an entrance fee that cost 100/50 but free for people who are residents there. The staff/lifeguard always make sure that every person wants to swim will wear a lifevest for their own safety.Theres a place to cook,do bbq and lots of things to buy.Do Zipline,1k steps/stairs -to wish and pray .
I really enjoy this place, we jump and do zipline.. there are some shops if u need something. The floating cottage is great but expensive ;try to come as early as u can
we went here after typhoon so the water was not that clear. there are sari sari store in the area and souvenir shops too. You can also rent life vest, Kubo (cottagesfor lunch and kawayang bangka (floating bamboo with nipa hutif you want to explore the water...they do stop renting it sometimes if the water current is strong. Check their Fb profile for any updates or weather condition. One thing needs improvement are the restroom. Overall...Still worth cheçking.
Very far from Gapan you need to travel here with your car or van. It takes 4 hrs to take us to Gapan then 2 hrs going to Minalungao national Park. Trycicle from Gapan some ask for 1k 800 and we get a trycicle rt for 600. the place is crowded during weekends some. parts of water are deep and some are not tje current is strong, Lots of activities here. Beautiful view from the hanging bridge going to 1000 steps to the glass cross. Entrance is 100..upon arrival u need to reseeve for balsa worth 800.You can bring your own food here.. and lots of store too. Water is clear. We were happy lots of fun. But be careful aa they said lots of encantos here maingay siguro kmi kaya siguro nadisgrasia kami paglabas ng Minalungao park 2 mins away lumipad ang trycicle namin at un tumapon kaming lahat awa ng dios minor injuries lang kami. Nakakapagtaka pero thats what happened. Just be cafeful.
Nice place! We arrived at 5pm and still charged 100 each although they are closing at 530. But its okay because its worth it. Next time well come earlier. We took the other way going home which is offroad, such a nice and breath taking experience. Good thing we brought out 4x4 vehicle.
No entrance fee. Lots of activity aside from swimming. Very nice place. Since theres no entrance fee, also expect a crowd of people.
A great place to go for an adventure with friends or family. The place is very clean and well-maintained. The people there are actually very nice, polite, and hospitable. For the best experience, try renting a long raft or "balsa" for php1000 for half a days use. The best part is not only having to swim through a clean river but to just relax and let the current take you away.A word of advice. The water kinda looks muddy during rainy seasons but the waters are still clean. The children still need supervision though as there are parts which are very deep though the security does not allow swimming without life vests.Overall a very great place for kids and adults alike. Cheers!
When we arrive at the park the water was brown, and the current was strong. it seemed like it was raining in the Sierra Madre all night. So our planed relaxed picnic turned into a hiking and spelunking adventure.Bamboo raft fee 700/dayEntrance 100/ head
Perfect dor some adventure. The heart pounding 1000 steps. The cave, river and soon the longest slide are best dor your visit pleasure
A place designed by God in partnership with Mother Nature for artists and people who have love for Nature. So natural.and relaxing plus a very good support from the LGU Gen Tinio and Mayor Ferdinand Bote, making this place,a prime destination in Nueva Ecija Tourism. The best artists of the Philippines come here to capture the great Design shaped by the Almighty.Famed Rafael Cusi came here to showcase the Majestic Minalungao Park.Experience its beauty and Mysticism
First time to DYI going to this place. We originally planned to go to pampanga. Kaso wala kaming mahnap na pupuntahan dun. Haha so we changed bus then this place came to mind. Still in awe when the crowd starting to subsides. Amazing really. Sulit ung gastos for a quick gateway with my bestfriend. Will definitely be back with my team soon.
The place is ok. So many people. Theres an entrance fee of 100 per person and 50 for parking fee, but when you get inside theres a huge tarp that says 50 per person as environmental fee. Rafts are 700 each.
The place was great! The rock formations, the clear stream of water, and the trees are a plus for nature lovers wanting to go!Just a reminder, this place has *NO SIGNAL* since this place is in between a crater. 100 steps up from the rafts is where youll get decent signal. The water is FREEZING COLD, and the current is STRONG as hell but you get used to it. Its quite fun actually! There are also Caves in the area which was okay, the other cave is under renovation so we didnt get to check it out.The Zipline is cheap, only setting you back PHP100. The rafts set you back PHP600, theyre only for people that want to dine out on the river and stay for long durations there, they dont really tour you around, they only serve as a floating table for your lunch, stuff and etc.All in all it was great.
It took only 3 minutes to reach the area where shown on the first picture. The rental for the raft was 600Php, tour guide was 200Php, zip line was long and two-way trip cost only 200Php. The cave we went to was not small but it was a good experience. There is a big boulder where people can cliff dive. You can do everything within the day.
A good place to take the kids to have a paddle in the water (make sure to hire the life vests as the current is very strongbut the scenery unfortunately is ruined by the hundred bamboo rafts that ferry the visitors up and down the river (they didnt go more than a couple of hundred metres in both directions). There are toilets and changing rooms with a "shower" and a few picnic huts with tables that you can hire (I think it costs 400 Pesosa small barbecue is also available with the hut. There are a row of 20 or so vendors selling various snacks and toiletries for use in the shower. There is a path along the river which leads to a cave you can explore if you have a torch of some sort. Most people used their phone torches to light the way. Do not try to walk along the path barefoot as it has sharp stones and rocks which bloody well hurt! (Yes, I went barefoot and didnt risk going into the cave as a result....)A couple of zip-lines criss-cross high across the river and is available to the more adventurous. There are a few high spots along the riverbank that you can jump into the river from. Just be a bit careful if you are tall as Im 62" and when I jumped in my feet hit the bottom a bit hard, luckily it was sandy on the bottom so it didnt do me any damage. The current like I said before is quite strong so unless youre a very strong swimmer hire a life vest! There is also a pilgrimage route to the top of a mountain. The route comprises of a thousand steps (I didnt count them so cant confirm thisat the top of the mountain is a place for prayer with a huge mirrored cross in the center of a circle. It is a tough walk to the top especially in the hot sun so take water with you and take your time.
Cool and clear waters, beautiful limestone rock formations. It is worth it, not expensive and well maintained facilities
This place offers thrilling activities and scenic view. Its a long drive from the metro but it will be worth it. Please do not rely on google maps alone. It will show you the shourtcuts but the roads are not in good condition. It will take you to eternal rough roads. Take the highways or national roads instead. Several road constructions are also ongoing near the site.
Sobrang ganda dito!!!! Seriously a beautiful natural landmark in the Philippines that hasnt been too commercialised by tourism. I recommend going on the bamboo raft (only 600pesos naman ehand having a nice picnic while enjoying the view!
The place had great views, I probably would have enjoyed it more if it didnt rain before we went--the water level went up and so we couldnt go farther on our hike as the rocks we were supposed to step on were already beneath the waters. I thought the price for the admission was a bit much for P100/person, PLUS a parking fee of P50, then you still have to tip your tour guide (which I didnt mind since they actually do some work). The zip lining was pretty good--for P100 I guess I cant really complain about much else. This place also has a couple of food places where you can actually sit down and enjoy a delicious meal. The gising-gising (spicy squid in some sweet & sour sauce with some veggieswas really good. Ill probably visit this place again when theres no rain in the weather forecast. :-)
Very nice park! Swim in the river, climb the rocky vantage point for a surreal view of the surrounding mountains, walk the hanging bridge, or hike the 1,000 steps to the summit. Additional attractions are being added as of November 2017 including a giant water slide on the side of the mountain.
This place really suffices me with its refreshing air and breathtaking landscapes. its an amazing place, worth the travel.
Beautiful place, very nature, the rocka and caves are so beautiful and amazingly created by our very own mother nature, and its not far away,, we didnt swim on the river because we have limited time. Overall 9/10
