Mimi's Bistro + Bakery in Greensboro

Ive been here a few times and never had a problem. We dined last night about 5pm. I ordered jambalaya and my better half ordered the roasted turkey dinner. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip and a cocktail. We received our plates but never got our appetizer or cocktail. The girl asked if we still wanted the appetizer and of course by that time we said no but we did ask to still receive the cocktail.The cocktail was weak and ordinary. The food was absolutely delicious. The reason we come back is for the magnificent food but decent service would be nice also.Based on some other reviews I read it appears there are some awesome servers here but we certainly did not get one last night.If you want great food this is the place to come but its a toss up on the service.

Justin was an amazing server! I had the breakfast burrito and roasted potatoes, and they were incredible! $5 mimosas on top of that were so tasty, and the peach flavor was the best 11/10, will be back for brunch!

The food was good. I just enjoyed the time I had with my family. We did have to wait but it was worth it. My aunt turned 70 today and we were seated quietly and served just was quickly too. We had a great time and I do plan on coming back very soon.

Brought my family here for my dads birthday and everything was great. Our server Grace was very attentive to our needs. The food was very good. We will be definitely

I love Mimi’s Cafe especially for Sunday brunch! The food is great and the wait is never long. But today was the best experience I’ve had in a long while specifically because of our host! Dre was knowledgeable and personable and patient with our large group. He was so nice So if you’re ever in the Greensboro area and want to stop at Mimi’s ask for Dre! 😉

Mimi’s Cafe was a treat in Greensboro, NC. Great selections and delicious food. Service was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. Ambiance was comfortable, no wait, plenty of seating options, parking was hassle free. Highly recommend going for a meal, especially if you are parents taking your child to NCAT.

Haven’t been to Mimi’s in a good while…happy to see that the food was still delicious but the service this time was above and beyond - much better than expected and far superior than any other restaurant we’ve visited post covid. Our server, Justin, was literally the best server we’ve ever had. Period.

Came in for breakfast last weekend. Our waitress Morgan was awesome. Super knowledgeable of the menu. Fast and attentive service. Will definitely request her section in the future. Food was correct, hot and delicious.

My Husband ordered cinnamon roll french toast breakfast platter and it was pretty darn stiff and dense and dry. I told the waiter about the issue and he said that the Manger probably wouldnt rectify the issue because he ate most of it (and the waiter didnt bother to even get the manager for me). My husband ate most of it because he has a blood sugar disorder and he to hurry and eat before he had a complication. If the manager has that type of attitude about customer service thats a sure ticket to a downward spiral in the success of this restaurant. What a shame!

We gave this place a 2nd chance after previously visiting and the service was below par.Today we came in for Breakfast and had the pleasure of being served by Justin! He was amazing! Gave great recommendations, was personable not just nice and stayed on top of it.Truly glad we gave it a second chance and will certainly be back.

Beside our food being amazing and the atmosphere great. I have to brag about our server Jacob , he was on top of his tables making sure we were good and everyone else. He always had a smile on his face when he was on the floor. He is one of the best servers I had experienced.

My partner and I come here often for breakfast and we’re always happy with our food and our service! Justin was our server most recently and he was very attentive and kind. It’s always a good time when we come here!

Good food and friendly wait staff. Service was quick so the wait was not long. Have a large menu with a number of different offerings. I had the fish and chips which was delicious. Saw some of the salads and the French onion soup coming out and they all looked very good too.

Justin was our server and did an outstanding job! He remembered our order from the last time my Mom and I were there. Not only was the service outstanding, but the food was as delicious as well. We truly enjoyed our brunch.

Service was SLOW. Waitress forgot to put in our order in as well as another table. I gave my husband my tea since no one came around to refill his. Husband said his breakfast was awesome. My French onion soup was good. The dressing in my salad wasn’t good. All and all it was ok. Expensive for breakfast etc.

The food has always been very good but I have never eaten at Mimis in the summertime and have the temperature comfortable on the inside. Visited last Thursday for a work lunch and it was so warm and humid inside the restaurant. Hot & humid outside and warm & humid inside.

The food was delicious for the price. The service is absolutely fantastic every time I visit. The restaurant is in a great location and easy to find if you have never been there. The mimosas are the BEST!!

Went this morning the food was good however I asked for a medium steak. And the steak was well done. A bit disappointed overall the atmosphere was beautiful

My friend and I met for breakfast today. It was busy and we waited a while for our server. After waiting about 15 minutes we caught the attention of Morgan and asked if we could get some coffee while we waited for our server. She was extremely friendly and actually took our breakfast order and became our server even though we were not seated in her section. She checked on us often and made sure our coffee cups were never empty!!! She is an awesome server and we will request her every time from now on. Thank you Morgan for making the start of our day such a happy one!

Cayla Barnes, of the Greensboro NC Mimis, was a phenomenal waitress! She was very polite and engaging! She took our orders with no issues and a smile! She got our food to us in a reasonable time and her attitude was wonderful. She made me and my friends feel like we were the only patrons in the restaurant. She was fantastic!!!

I have been coming to Mimi’s for over a year now, I have always had a great experience, great food and great service. Unfortunately today was not the same. We had a pregnant server who first forgot my sister’s muffin, then seemed annoyed when she was reminded. My sister was given the wrong order when she brought it to the servers attention the server basically argued with her that she got what she asked for. My sister didn’t make it a big deal and ate what she was served. About 20 minutes after leaving my sister discovered she left her iPhone on the table. The “find my” feature clearly showed the phone was at 3322 friendly ave. We went back and were told it wasn’t there. The server denied ever seeing it. Only after we were adamant that it was there and we weren’t leaving without it did our server miraculously show up with the phone saying “it must’ve ended up in a bucket”. Not sure what game she was playing or if she was holding a grudge because she didn’t do a good job (we still tipped properly). But that was wrong and she knows it. I don’t appreciate how any of it was handled. Not a good look Mimi’s.

The food was amazing. My family and I had an amazing time here. Our server Morgan was the best. She made sure my family was doing great and treated us like family and professional. I am definitely coming back with my family and friends.

This is nice restaurant for breakfast. The waitress was cheerful and very attentive. This was my daughters birthday breakfast. She enjoyed herself and would love to come back. Waffles and chicken scrumptious, avocado and bacon omelet light and fluffy.

New in town and came across this little gem. The server I had, Morgan, made the entire experience amazing! So welcoming and on top of everything. I will definitely be coming back and i hope that i’m able to have her again!Thanks so much again, Morgan! :)

I had the BEST experience. I came to Greensboro to visit my mother, and stopped at the restaurant on the way. A beautiful young lady by the name of Morgan came up to me and offered to seat me at a table. But as soon as she did, my car alarm started going off.. and my son started crying because he needed his bottle. This woman did the unthinkable. She literally offered to feed my child while I went to go turn off my car! I wish I could’ve gotten a picture. Sweet girl. God love her, and thank you to whoever trained her. You guys keep up the great work!! P.S.- Food is to DIE for!! :)

Our daughter turned 7 and wanted breakfast food for dinner, and after some searching we found Mimi’s serves breakfast all day, which was exactly what she wanted! Andre was our server in the Greensboro location and he was great! Attentive and friendly, he picked up on it being our daughter’s birthday and slyly asked her, “blueberry or chocolate chip” and she said blueberry. She was then surprised with a vanilla ice cream sundae on top of a blueberry muffin and her face lit up! She was so excited! Great food and service, thanks Andre!

A very pleasant experience, our waitress Yobana, her customer service is very professional and besides being very pleasant. Our order was served exactly as requested and we were not kept waiting and Really delicious. Thank you very much Yobana for your attention, my daughter was very impressed by you and your service.

Great food. I got waffles and they were very fluffy and cooked to perfection. My family also enjoyed their food. Our server, Amanda was an extremely friendly person. I would recommend to anyone wanting breakfast food at any time of day.

Wanted a great breakfast for a great value and I have always wanted to try Mimi’s Cafe. The food was awesome and very hot and delicious. I got bacon, eggs and roasted potatoes with a blueberry muffin. My server Ayanna was a pleasure and made my experience even better with the delectable food that I got. She went over and beyond and kept my drink refilled and I didn’t want or need for anything.

I went to brunch with some friends and had the hibachi salmon. The salmon was extremely good, I loved it ! Good service and nice atmosphere.

Been here a few times over the past 5 years and this time honestly wasn’t as great as the others but it, of course, wasn’t awful. The pancakes and waffle were pretty dry and the potatoes were bland but overall our meals were decent. Mimosas were strong as always.

A good place for breakfast. Went on a Sunday morning and got a table as we entered, but later realised we were early, because as we were walking out there was a lot of people waiting outside. They have the usual breakfast options, butter croissants were the best. The place has a New Orleans vibe and looks different. They even have lunch and dinner menu.

This place would have received a 5 star rating. But everthing that came to the table was warm. From the Coffee ☕ & tea 🍵 to my waffles eggs🥚 bacon 🥓 toast. My waitress Chloe was great .she was very attentive. Even brought items to the table before we could ask. Great place to eat would definitely recommend. Ask for Choles section she is great!!!!

I had a lovely breakfast with my son and sister. It brought back memories. We use to eat at Mimis regularly when we had one in Raleigh.

Texas gal here!I was down in greensboro and my partner took me to this amazing place for breakfast. Our server was Chloe and she was super funny and just an all around sweetheart! The food was amazing and they had the best Arnold Palmer Ive ever had (and Ive had a lot in my life). Definitely recommend! Tip your servers too! They work very hard!

I liked it! It wasn’t the best food or best atmosphere, but it was still very enjoyable!Loved loved the triple berry mimosa and the bacon had a great flavor too.. it wasn’t thick cut or anything but still good!My waffle was a bit on the hard crusty side then soft and fluffy, presentation could use some work too instead of a side dish just place on top of waffle with a power sugar or sugar crystal dust in the berries… the cinnamon bun French toast was good but not great it was different then expected and bit small portion seems like an appetizer you could have there if they gave two or something like that. Maybe I’m being critical but I just feel like they could be a bit better to be a 5 star!As far as the atmosphere it was very 90s French style and dated…although that can work it just feels like they definitely could update their chairs and seating a bit to make it have a better feeling so you don’t feel like they haven’t updated since the 90s… hopefully that makes sense! Some minor tweaking I think Mimi’s could be very good.

Well I hate writing bad reviews. When I received my spinach artichoke dip it was cold... not room temp but cold! Then I had to wait for what seemed like hours. And that was for everything. sauce, Togo box, and my check. I did not expect to spend half my day just to get a quick lunch.

Me and my girlfriend decided to have her birthday dinner at this restaurant, great reviews and rating. We were greeted and seated in a timely manner. Our waitress was very polite and helpful with the menu. I enjoyed my steak, I wish it was seasoned alittle more thoroughly. Overall great dinning experience.

The food is always good. I love their breakfast and brunch menu. Every server I had was always kind and polite. This restaurant do get busy after 10:30am.

Oh my goodness was the atmosphere, service, and food delicious. Our waitress Cabria was such a sweetheart. We werent going to get an appetizer but Im so glad she said about a blueberry muffin. Heaven on a plate then our drinks came out and were amazing also. Finally our meal came and it was phenomenal. Definitely recommend this place!!

Went to MiMi’s cafe for the first time. Our server was Jonae and she was amazing. She acknowledged it being our first time. She gave us some menu options. We played and spoke to our children. Our orders were right and so good. She was friendly and accommodating. We will be back! Thank you Jonae!

Very pleased. This was our first time eating at Mimis Cafe and it will not be our last. They were also following the mask mandate thats in place. Our server was very nice and friendly. My wife and I both ordered the chicken and waffles and it was great. The portions were larger then expected. 1 serving could have actually fed us both.

Ive been here a few times before and always had a good experience. Today I came for brunch. It was about 12:30pm on Labor Day (9/7/20). It was surprisingly busy. There was a small wait. We were told 20 minutes but it was more like 5 minutes. To start off, we got mimosas. I got White Peach and my bf got Triple Berry. Both were good. They have $5 mimosas on Saturday and Sundays before 2pm. For my entree, I got the bacon, ham, and sausage omelette with egg whites. It came with potatoes. The omelette was good. No complaints. The potatoes were barely warm and the texture of them were not consistent. They werent bad tasting, though. My bf got the malted waffle. It comes with eggs and choice of protein. He got bacon and sausage (extra). I tasted the food and it was good as well. No complaints. The food came out fairly quickly. Our waiter was Nicolas (per the receipt since he didnt tell us). He was fairly attentive and we didnt encounter any issues.

This is a great spot for brunch or breakfast. By the looks for it, I am eager to try their dinner menu. The service was superb, the atmosphere very pleasant and comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the croissant was fluffy, crisp, buttery and flaky. The muffins are amazing, especially the chocolate chip. The roasted potatoes are great, be sure to ask for them with peppers and onions. I highly recommend it.
