All the food items include beer at this chill pub with craft brews, full bar, brunch & a game room.
I visited for the Friday fish fry, the cod had great flavor, the Cole slaw was made with apples which was new for me and it was excellent. The prices were very reasonable, I will definitely eat there again.
My first time here was a great one. Marley our server was great. Food was great. I had their perch fish fry and it was amazing. My girlfriend had their salmon and it was amazing. Definitely coming back!
Honest to a T. The staff at Milwaukee Beer Bistro will tell you like it is. Their friendly staff will tell you what their favorite dishes are, and the food comes out exactly as described. They arent afraid of doing seperate cheques, and they ate well situated for accomodating large groups. Stop in to Milwaukee Beer Bistro next time youre around Humboldt and looking for a good munch.
This place just may be the best kept secret in Milwaukee! Food here is excellent and the chefs are willing to go above & beyond for any special dietary needs. The Bloody Marys have just the right amount of spice and even come with a chaser.Wouldve been 5 stars if it werent for the slow service (and we were the only ones in the restaurant).
3.50 stars. Good soups, empanadas were tasty and spicy, though with the sauce in tp nor add crisp as im used to. The hofbrauhaus Dortmunder lager went perfect with everything
Weve been to Beer Bistro and both times have been pleasant experiences. They have a great beer selection as the name would indicate. The food is very good and the guy that served us both times was very nice and helpful. The only negative point is the grilled cheese is a pretty standard American cheese affair if you dont want bacon on it. Otherwise, the other dishes weve had were excellent.Note: Both times weve sat outside, so I have no idea what its like inside.Update: Went back again and this time we sat inside. Had a different sever who was very nice.
Hidden out on the open, this joint is loaded with WI taps. The menu ranges from the usual suspects to the Night in Bangkok Burger with roasted pineapple and a Thai aioli. Best quality service. Super walkable neighborhood. Across the street from the Downtowner.
It was great. Food was really good. Melissa the bartender was great. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Food is always good, nice beer menu, wish they had a few more burger and appetizer options. Also wish they would bring back the honey sriracha wings as those were my favorite thing on the menu. Portion sizes on some items are a bit small.
Stopped by recently after a local street festival. The food was great! We all had appetizers and shared them. Everything was delicious! The cheese dip with house made potato chips was divine! We will be back. Has a huge beer garden too.
Went here for the first time and was disappointed because: WAY too expensive for what they offer; however, what we did order was good. The crispy brat rolls only comes with TWO rolls and is $8!! There isnt even 1 brat used in 2 rolls, absolutely ridiculous. The bartender seemed preoccupied and took way to long to come back- there was only 2 other couples at the bar. There is only 9 beers on tap, which is pretty sad for a beer bistro. Bottom line, I definitely wouldnt go there again and dont recommend going there!
Wonderful a wonderful place good people good drinks outstanding food totally five star across the board I will be back this time Ill bring my friends
Loved the small town feel and atmosphere. The food was great! Service was excellent, only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because we went there based on the menu we saw online and it has been changed for awhile now we were told. Still good food!
Awesome menu, everything was delicious!! Great service, comfy atmosphere. Well be back for the brunch.
Food was ok, nothing great but not bad either. I will give it another shot, maybe they were having an off day.
Its got a small food menu. But whats on there is pretty damn good. I got the rib sandwich that was on the travel channel apparently and it was pretty amazing. Just dont k how why they choose to put this huge hunk of meat on a little delicate brioche bun. But good food and good beer its a good place.
Excellent food, great beer on tap (always mixing it up). Great/relaxed layout and atmosphere; TVs around so nice to hang watch "the game". Never crowded. Parents, if you have young ones, great place to bring them and let them run around.
Walked in at what must have been 10 minutes to close, we had been driving around for hours looking for a bar with parking, despite the fact that they had already shut down the kitchen and did last call the bartender allowed us each to get a drink and let me use the restroom. He was very nice and understanding, I got a margarita inspired sour beer, it was amazing.
The menu is better than the actual food. I love the concept but the execution was just ok. A little closer to a diner feel than you would expect from the website.
Was meh. I had Mac and cheese which wasnt anything special. Side veggies were overcooked and mushy. Took a while to get the food and the place was literally empty. Only positive is their beer selection. Good concept but poor execution.
Beer Bistro has a creative menu, great food, and a pretty solid beer selection. Im always surprised that they arent more busy each time I go.
I always love going here. The food is great and the people are very welcoming. I would defintely recommend it. (They cook all there food in beer and it is delicious. Plus there are a variety of tap options)
Excellent and creative food choices. Wide selection of both local beers and familiar national brands on tap/bottle
My co-workers and I ordered fish frys to go this Friday evening. The fish was vastly over-battered and had no flavor at all. Potato pancakes with a fish fry are good, but these cakes were not good at all. Small amount of tartar sauce to go with tasteless fish. At least if the sauce was good, it would give the fish something. Coleslaw was flavorless as well. Rye bread was good enough, but with no butter. All the concepts for a good fish fry were there, but there was no execution to the taste buds.
Their food has beer in it. Pretty Wisconsin... Im sure for the money you can do better, but its worth a try. I love food so Im biased.
This is a great place for a huge selection of local and not-so-local craft tap beer! The chalk board is always up to date with current taps! Tuesday Wing Night! 75¢ wings! Website needs to be updated though. These guys run the Beer Garden at Hubbard Park! Great times!
Great place. Im surprised it isnt busier since the place really has no flaws. The menu is simple but tasty and features a healthy selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes that dont feel like afterthoughts. The beer menu is as large as the name of the bar would suggest and the interior is clean, welcoming and modern. Ive been here many times have never had a problem with service.Mostly the Beer Bistro is a hidden gem of a brunch place. They have an outstanding brunch menu that is surprisingly affordable and they make a tasty Bloody Mary to boot. Most importantly it isnt usually very busy so you can almost always get a table immediately even with a group of 6 or more. I walked in on a Saturday at noon and got a table of 8 seated in 5 minutes. Everybody in my family (including the 3 veganscame away satisfied.Next time Wolf Peach gives you a 90 minute estimate for a table head over to the Beer Bistro.
Love the new menu. Great drink specials. Casual neighborhood ambience and good for families.
Hidden gem! We went here with a gift card. Showed up at noon for kickoff on a Packer-game Sunday, and we were surprised it was almost empty. Really, we were the only people there! A few others showed up, ate, and left a short while later. Not sure why it was so empty; the food was great. Beer brat soup was excellent. Really good deep fried cheese curds. And enjoyed an awesome Beer-B-Que Short Rib sandwich. Really no complaints...cant believe this place wasnt shoulder-to-shoulder packed for the game. Go here; you wont be disappointed. Show up with a big group for the game and it will feel like you rented the place for your personal party!
Rotating selection of beers, mostly local. Pretty good food to accompany your pint. Try the onion dip and chips, they take a bit because the chips are homemade.
Terrible vibe. Always empty, poor service, staff only talk to each other. Great location, decent food, just poor atmosphere because of service.
Amazing time here. Throughly enjoying the presence and the bar tender. Food was great!
Hidden gem, great food, good vegetarian options, refreshing and rotating beer list.
Good food, large beer selection, nice patio, rarely busy. Beef shortrib sandwich is supposedly top 10 sandwich in USA
Really nice place! One of my favorites in the area. Excellent chart of beers, always with new additions.
Great place to eat, drink, & game!
Its ok. The staff are nice however you may find yourself waiting a long time before someone takes your order. This place does offer space perfect for groups and meetings. The other biggest issue is parking. On their busiest nights and days you may night find any parking.
Great portions, always quality food and a great beer selection. Fish fry is amazing, both the cod and walleye.
Helpful staff. Interesting concept. Great food. Loved the Pilsner Vanilla ice cream!
First time there last Friday and look forward to going back as soon as my wifes schedule allows. Fantastic food and a phenomenal selection of beers. Add Hacker Pschorr to the list and itll be a once a week occasion! Great place WITH PARKING!!
Good friday fish fry. Not too busy, but good food. Eapecially if youre into "beer infused" cooking.
Never before in the history of mankind has there been an establishment with such Prestige and Raw soul as company brewing. Our ancestors will sing songs of the times had here, in some future airport a themed restaurant will be established to memorialize the greatness contained within. The beer is Handmade by Aphrodite herself, culled from the very soil beneath our feet and transmorphersized into an elixir of cataclysmic proportion. The food is representative of Natures Bounty itself, atmospheric changes can be detected around each dish. Music flows in a great waterfall of diversity and magnificence from the very walls , humble yourself befor the greatness that is company brewing, know that you are not worthy, but will be served dutifully.
Ive been here twice. Was not impressed with the food either time. When i went last night the kids food came out quite a bit after the adults food even though all they ordered was chicken strips, and my chicken wings were cold.
Very relaxed atmostphere, I really liked the place. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was good. There werent many people there, despite it being dinner time on a Saturday night. Both the bartender and our server were very nice. We will go back.
Go for brunch! They are never crazy busy, and the food is well worth it. We have also thrown a catered party there and were VERY happy!
I am glad that Riverwest has something like this. I am not a fan of the owner at all; as he is a jerk face, but hey... at least I can eat a chicken sandwich in Riverwest before I get run over by a bearded guy on a bike.
Poutine was cold and Blondie dessert was missing toppings. Normally would have complained at time but we had to get going. Positive of the night, ribs had good flavor
Great & friendly staff and amazing food. The Mighty Duck burger is a must try if you enjoy, well good food. Probably one of the best burgers Ive had in my life.
Went here once for brunch months ago. Wanted to like this place cus its in my neighborhood and I want it to succeed, but it was disaster. Beer list isnt much, and the "beer inspired cuisine" is few staples with beer thrown in it, even in stuff you wouldnt like unless beer flows through your veins. Staff was from different planet, the guy wanted to hump everyones leg right in the door, the girl probably shot an H a little while before and was "running" her own spin on having to be there. They had some equipment issues and couldnt cooked what was ordered. The staff couldnt communicate this, in the end the owner(?had to come out and was great about it. Food was 3.5 stars, but took forever, staff is horrible and the place has no character, brand new outside, well kept 70s inside. Wont be back.
Dont ever get the chicken and waffles for brunch. Absolutely horrible. Awful breading on the chicken and they stacked the chicken and waffles together and put beer cheese sauce all over everything. Why would I want cheese on waffles? Ive had decent experiences with their non-brunch menu items, however.
