Very bad food seating service, & to have loads of seating and tables left free and to be assigned to be squashed in the middle of the restaurant I think is ridiculous!!! Even although I recommend feeling cramped in by other customers the waitress had no good energy at all.I saw kids and other families being tuned back to be waiting hour or more for a seating when their is loads being cornered off which I think is unacceptableOnly positive was the barman who served drinks at the front with a great persona.Which we ended up not ordering and walking out.
Came here Thursday evening for dinner with my family and my little girl. The food was phenomenal and so is the restaurant in itself. The staff are amazing, they really go above and beyond to make you feel acknowledged and welcome! This is one of the best tgi Fridays we have been too and will definitely return… thank you very much!!
TGI Friday as a whole is a nice place, it has a good selection of food, drink and the staff are friendly and attentive except when it comes to paying the bill. Before covid hit, both me and my wife experienced this issue numerous times before, quick to get a seat, quick to have our table laid up along with menus and even when it comes to ordering but on so many occasions we have waited on average 30 mins for a bill, the servers can see our empty table and our neatly stacked plates and when we get the bill, each time they apologise for the short wait, Im sorry 30 to 40 miss is not a short wait.Everytime we get explained that they were busy but tables that came in after us always got there bill within 5 minutes. It sounds petty but we dont understand why it takes so long for a bill!? My advice would be to either add 30 mins to your dining time or see how far you can get walking through the front door.
On arrival of the reception desk , the member of staff standing there did not even acknowledge our presence & then just walked away. When she returned she seated us without comment. We waited a while for a table server. We were told there was at least fout dishes unavailable. When we did get served a drink was forgotten and we had to ask at least three times for it.Staff were pleasant enough whilst serving us. On paying the bill as we were paying by card we asked if the tip was given to them to which we were told yes but only a percentage but if we pay cash they receive the full amount.Have been to this restaurant before with no issues so was a little disappointed on this occasion.
Nice bar, friendly staff, tasty drinks (we didnt have food). It was a bit dark in the restaurant, but there were spotlights for each table so we could see fine. That could be to save the cost of the electricity. I can appreciate that at the moment.
Came here with a friend after not seeing him for a year and OMG this place was amazing! The manager DAN was just an absolute delight, he came over to let us know he didn’t have a certain liquer for the drinks that we ordered but he asked a few questions about what we like in a cocktail and said ‘okay I’ll be back’ and he made us the NICEST cocktail I’ve ever tasted. He was so friendly, if you are looking for a place to go and eat I would recommend here! Absolute 10/10!
Decent food, but absolutely dreadful service. The Texan platter (steak & ribsis served stacked on a slate slab, which is not very practical to eat off because there’s no space; it should be served on a large plate with actual cutting space. Also, no steak knife was given, which made it even harder to eat combined with lack of space on the slab. Our food was brought out all together, we would’ve preferred our starters with our drinks. When our food was brought out, we hadn’t been given any cutlery and had to ask 4 different servers - we ended up waiting 5-10 minutes after we got our food for cutlery, in which time our food had started getting cold. The cutlery should’ve been put on the table as soon as we were seated/before the food was brought out. There was a hair in one of the cocktails so we had to send it back. We also ordered a Bloody Mary, which is usually served with some celery in it, so we asked the waiter if they had celery but they said they don’t, but later we noticed there was celery on the side of the boneless wings, so they lied. The purple rain cocktail had way too much ice in it; finished it in about 5 sips.Service was generally awful; was impossible to get anyones attention. No one came to check on us at all after the food had been brought out. There should be spare napkins on the centre of the table, as some of the starters (E.g. wingsget your hands messy.Took about 20 minutes after we finished eating to get a waiters attention to clear our table, also didn’t bring us dessert menus until we asked twice.I mentioned in the booking that it was my mums 60th birthday and informed our waiter on arrival, but they forgot and didn’t do the TGI’s birthday song for her. After she had finished her dessert, we told our waitress that they had forgotten her birthday, and they ended up bringing out another dessert and singing for her, which was the only bit of good service we had all night.Food wise, the highlights were the boneless hot wings, the sesame chicken bites and the chocolate fudge temptation cake. I would not come back here unless there was no other options, because the service is just terrible.
Let me set the scene, my good fellow’s birthday, the table is booked for 7pm on a Saturday. You would think that that it would be rammed in there, yet it was the contrary, half of the establishment was completely unoccupied. Despite this, there was waiters all around the restaurant. However, to my disgust, we did not get offered any beverages until 7:40. Let that sink in. 40 MINUTES, ironically, I am not normally the moany type of person, yet this tipped me the over the edge. Once the waiter eventually began to serve us, not for my words to be mistaken, our waiter George was a brilliant waiter, shout out to my man George, respect brother. The brilliance of George’s service was negatively clouded by four of my acquaintances not being given knives, meaning that once our food finally was given to us, 4 people were not able to begin, not to sound ungrateful, but isn’t having a set of cutlery, a standard requirement in these establishments. Too add to my mental hardships, my fellow acquaintance was given a pure shot of alcohol without her mock tail, and ID was not checked. To conclude this detailed and heartfelt review, George was nice, and their cheesy bacon fries are simply delightful.
Went with my boyfriend for lunch and it seemed fairly quiet. We were sat at a dirty, rickety table under a dark, flickering light and we asked to sit elsewhere (clearly a mistake). It then took 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, we were repeatedly ignored when we tried to get someone’s attention and things only started to happen because the couple next to us asked for us to be tended to when their food was served. Service was generally quite slow but the food was tasty. Working in hospitality, I find this level of service quite unforgivable as it wasn’t very busy and there were quite a few members of staff.
What a complete and utter joke! Booked for 4pm today for the man on the desk to check my booking about 3 times which took like 10 mins. What made me laugh is that it was not busy at all. Finally got seated after he decided to finish reading my booking. We then waited 20 mins and had to ask someone to take our order to be told she cant take my order that she has her own section to deal with. She them went to find someone to take our order to be told he will be with us. Another 10 mins went by no order and no waiter! I had a 2 year old and was not impressed with the service. Ended up walking out and went to another restaurant! Absolutely disappointed!!!Why hire staff that clearly do not want to work!
As a family we all enjoyed our time at TGI’s. The manager was helpful, happy and very accommodating. He even let us sit at the table we pointed out. Yes it did take a little longer than perhaps usual to get our food but the staff were so friendly and kind when the food came out so it made all the difference. We all enjoyed our food and our plates were soon empty. Well done to everyone for trying so hard.
Left waiting half hour to get a table (after being told 5 minutesthen another hour and a half to have food delivered with two screaming hungry children. Hit and miss with the staff, drinks very over priced but food was ok.The kids chips had so much salt on them I had to take them off my 1 & 2 year olds plate, and even they refused their bland chicken bites. Ended up having to share our meal with them so they didnt stay hungry.Waiter admitted the chefs messed up big time, and gave us the kids meal free, he was fantastic and such a nice guy, looked like he was pushed around by management but it was those that lacked service! Receptionist couldnt understand us or spell out name.Overall not what we expected from a TGI
took 30 minutes to order some food and drinks, the food never even arrived, we had asked TWO waiters to see where our food was, our server never back with an update and neither did the guy who was seating people. The drinks took about 10 minutes to come to us and all we asked for was 2 cokes. We had decided that enough was enough and that we were gunna cancel the food and just pay for the cokes, our server was only then very quick over and didnt even offer a proper apology just said sorry about that and then asked how would we like to pay.Horrible service and no time management with the servers, just felt like we were forgotten to be honest. Also the queue to even get a table was ridiculous and we had pre booked. Prices are also extremely high for what youre getting/portion sizes.Wouldnt go back.
Staff spent most of our visit standing by the bar, chatting, laughing and showing each other things on their phones- the only time we saw a smile from most of them.Despite being it being quiet we had to wait for someone to seat us- just because he was stood talking behind the bar. He made sure he finished his conversation before coming to the front of the restaurant. There were dirty tables everywhere, no cutlery on ours, and when we asked it was taken from a seemingly dirty table (glasses on itand given to us.Waited 15 minutes to order drinks, heard 2 other tables have to ask to order having waited even longer than us. Of the approximately 10 floor staff only 2 appeared to actually be doing anything with any urgency. Most of the staff were rude, poor attitude and unwelcoming. Food was average, burger dry and just about warm. Based on some of the more recent reviews this experience was not unique!
Waited an hour and a half for starters to come out. Then my cheeseburger was burnt and chips all dried up. Not offered more drinks and starter plates not taken away before main course bought out. Lots of shouting by staff. Awful experience!! Very expensive for not great food.
Absolutely disgraceful service. Good food. Waited for food a very long time (one hour). We asked for bill and waited for 40 minutes whilst all staff were standing around talking not doing anything. Would rate zero stars if i could.
Avoid this place. Full of disappointment. We waited almost an hour for food and half an hour. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but the staff was too busy talking to each other. I tried to order dessert for the children in the beginning and the waiter told me to order later… I tried to order it later but I was told the dessert chef went home. Ridiculous…. This place is a joke…I saw other people complaining too. Our waiter was nice and he was the only person who was running around and do everything
Had a table booked but this made no difference, still waited half an hour to be seated. When chased up it turned out we had been forgotten about.Table only had forks so asked for knives when our food was brought to us. Once again we were forgotten about and ended up asking another member of staff. Got knives when our meal was nearly finished, we had made do with our forks. The food was pretty good but I didnt enjoy it as the service was so bad and we were made to feel like we didnt really matter from the start. I wish I hadnt spent out on a special meal at this restaurant when there are many other places to eat at Westfield.
Arshad and Anton gave us the most amazing service to date. So lovely an attentive an went the extra mile to make sure we was happy. Best thing about this service is we was having a very bad day an this made us so happy. You NEVER get service like the service we got today. Thank you guys soooo much. 10 out of 10 for everything x
Great environment. Staff need to be faster and cleaner. Waited 20 min to be seen. Kitchen staff doesn’t have hair coverings, etc. When we were eventually seen, George was very polite and efficient.
Service was some of the absolute worst I’ve ever had, to the point that it ruined the whole meal.Waiting over half an hour to take our order, after asking twice as well. Food was then incredibly slow coming out of the kitchen, and the restaurant was barely half full! There seemed to be ample staff, but nobody seemed to be doing anything. One of the bar staff was ‘chatting up’ two women for the majority of our meal and did nothing otherwise, didn’t even make our drinks, the other member of staff behind the bar was running around making everything! The guy who seemed to be the manager, who was seemingly off duty, was screwing round with the staff and causing more issues than anything! The food was fine, nothing bad but not outstanding. On top of that, we ordered cocktails based on the 2 for £12, which then got charged at full price on the bill. I highlighted this and it was rectified, but not something I would have to expect to highlight.Won’t be returning unless things are drastically improved!
One of the worst experiences today at TGIF.Date: 23-Jul 22.Time: 1-2:30 PMWe booked a table and specifically asked for a booth. While reaching there we didn’t get a booth. Then we waited and waited and the order was taken after half hour. The drinks were not what we ordered, and the food took another half hour to arrive. The chicken was burnt, the loaded fries were a joke and even a road side joint has better food. We spent almost 2 hours there, and the server also came to ask about the experience when we told the bad experience. The manager came to talk and said the staff is short. He went back to his staff and instead of offering an apology, sent the bill. By this time we had lost patience, so we simply left. £50 wasted, and more than that we wasted our time.
Worst TGI’s I’ve ever been too. It appears staff get paid to stand around and do nothing. For a restaurant that was practically empty the service was horrendous.Me and two other girls were the only ones at the bar yet I stood there for over 10 minutes before a member of staff decided to acknowledged me.An hour and a half after ordering I went to a member of staff near the kitchen to ask how much longer the wait was for our food, only to see it sitting there waiting to come out. Annoyingly I had watched numerous members of staff just standing around that area doing nothing but talking to each other for ages, clearly no thought to take out food to waiting customers. A waiter brought over our food immediately but gods knows how long it was sitting there because the whole meal was cold. Having been in the restaurant for 2 hours, I was running low on time to send our food back.Thankfully I asked for the bill when we received our food and had cash on me, otherwise that would have been another timing challenge. The table next to us asked three different members of staff to pay her bill, none of them returned, she was left waiting over half an hour to pay.I don’t expect fast service if a restaurant is busy or short staffed but to be in an empty restaurant for over 2 and a half hours only to receive cold food while staff stand around is completely unacceptable.

We finally had a much better TGI experience than we have had for a number of years at other restaurants. Well done Stratford for restoring our faith on what was, our favourite brand. The staff were friendly and very careful taking our gluten free order for a coeliac. The food was all delicious and beautifully presented. I have taken one star off as the tables were really sticky and service was pretty slow at taking our order etc. But we shall definitely be back.
Waited 5 minutes to even be acknowledged by staff, there was who appeared to be a senior staff who was already busy attempt to get a waitress to seat us but she ignored him and us. When we were finally seated after 20mins of waiting to even have our drinks order taken we gave up. Id understand if it was busy but it really wasnt.
The reviews relating to terrible wait times are true. If I could 0 stars, I would.Table booked for: 17:45Seated at: 17:56Order taken at: 18:23Served water at: 18:42Served drinks at:18:44Food served at: 19:08During the 27 minutes it took from being seated to having our order taken, we had requested to be served three times from three different members of staff. Only when we complained to the manager, did he come serve us.Having hungry children with us waiting for dinner, you can imagine it was difficult to have to wait 1 hour and 12 minutes from being seated to the food arriving at our table. We had thought wed order dessert but given no one came to clear the tables / check in on us in 20 minutes we decided to sack it off. Was very tempted to leave without paying. What made the experience absolutely disgusting is that no action was taken to rectify the situation when the bill arrived. Id eaten at a lovely restaurant in Borough a few nights earlier; my friend requested salt/pepper for the fish dish we were eating and when the bill arrived, 10% had been knocked off without us actually complaining. Yet TGIFs didnt have the courtesy to do the same when we had clearly communicated our shock at the lack of service to the manager. I should have questioned the bill but we were desperate to get out and so I paid in full and left. Best thing to do is take my business elsewhere and warn others not to waste their time here. Had planned to eat here with a friend in a few weeks but told him to do one if he books this place. If youre an adult with standards you will not eat here. Its an establishment that employs incompetent teens for kids/teens.
Please avoid if you can!Being in a prime location I would think the service would be better. We were early for our booking & greeted with well it’s not that time is it. Then sat at a table & had no menus for 15 mins, finally got them & our server appeared 30 seconds later. We ordered & asked for all our food to come together. The wings came out first, they were cold so we sent them back, told they would make new ones. Never received the new ones.Asked the manager for tap water but never received it.Ordered mains of the Jack Daniel’s chicken but received starter size so not side with them.I had asked our server if the mains come with chips & she had said yes so we weren’t sure what happened there. Our server disappeared before we got our food & we never saw her again so not sure what happened regarding communication with the kitchen.Food was okay but service was shocking, the most helpful staff member was the lad who sorted out bill out for us & had to speak to the manager & had our wings taken off, the mains weren’t even put through & a £10 discount from the manager. It wasn’t even busy so not sure why the service was so awful. Please train your staff better! Our son had been excited all day to go there & we were all left extremely disappointed. Would give 0 stars if possible.
Was empty and a lot of staff but took 45 minutes just for drinks. Food was nice but service was terrible. The girl serving us was lovely but someone else came to bring the bill and when i asked how much it was she just told me the price and wouldnt let me see the actual bill. Honestly wouldve given a better review but sitting on a monday waiting 2 hours for food with only 3 other tables isnt good enough.
Had a fantastic experience at TGI Fridays (Westfield Stratfordthis eve.On arrival we were advised that due to staff shortages we may experience some delays, and that there would only be one person (Natalieserving a whole area of at least 8 tables. However, Natalie was an absolute busy bee and made sure she was prompt, polite, funny, had a smile on her face, and provided a world class service (despite the staff shortages).Even when I went to the bar to order some drinks it was Natalie who jumped behind the bar to make our cocktails (as the regular barman was on a break). And then it was Natalie who brought our food over, served more drinks, took out plates away, and provided us with our bill. She was a one woman army tonight. I cannot speak highly of her enough.Without her TGI would either had to close, or there would have been carnage and complaints galore.I look forward to dining and drinking here again, and especially if Natalie is working.Shes the epitome of customer service excellence.
Disappointed with the prawns either they were overnight or overcooked as this was the worst prawns I ever ate. The boneless wings was alright but tasted like process nuggets and the Quesdilla was ok but didnt seem freshly done was expecting the wrap to be grilled like in the photos lool..what a scam 😒
Booked a table here for a nice meal with my partner before the Soccer Aid game; was really pleased with myself for being so organised. At 4:30pm we decided to see it we could be seated a little sooner only to be faced with a queue of people waiting to be seated who had also booked tables. We stood in the queue for around 30 minutes and there was no movement in the queue. We were then advised that there was a waiting time of approximately 2 hours. The restaurant had clearly overbooked themselves and left a lot of families in a difficult situation then trying to find somewhere else to eat. What was even more disappointing was that when standing in the queue I could still book a table for 15 minutes after our one knowing full well the restaurant would never be able to fulfil this request.
Unfortunately I had one of the worst culinary experience in recent times, first the service… in my opinion very unprofessional and almost “spartan”.The table host that served us was chewing a gum and took the order while sitting on the table beside.Despite being very quite during my visit the food took 40 minutes to arrive only after asking several time to different waiters.I had the shrimps which had a terrible aftertaste almost like sea moss, the chicken burger was very sour due to the picked onion, the coleslaw had a bleach aftertaste and cherry on top my girlfriend tacos had a hair in it.Unfortunately a terrible overall experience won’t be back any soon.
Chanel at TGI Friday’s provided an exemplary service. She was friendly, attentive, and great with the children. She was the highlight of a trip that otherwise involved lukewarm food (which had to be sent back, one of the dishes also had forgotten ingredientsand saw people around us walking out because they were not given food. The wait time for the food was a little over acceptable, especially seeing as we had children with us. Our table also had no cutlery on it. We were given cutlery one by one which was confusing, and one of the sets came already used with food residue on it (pictured). It was truly a pleasure to interact with Chanel, and our table all agreed we should write a review because she was such a delight to have as our waitress. If this rating was based on our server only it would be 5 stars! Everything else was 1 star.
The service was terrible... very very bad. They brought us the food, we didnt had cutlery...asking for cutlery 3 times. They bring them in hand. Asking for drinks. Late 20 minutes for a coke. The staff is chatting by the door instead of serving. Horrible experience. Used to be good before 🤬🤬🤬
Average food which is overpriced. Rude and slow customer service staff with attitude. Restaurant half empty but service is still so slow, and tables are dirty regardless. Avoid at all costs. Staff do not understand simple requests like how you like your chips done!
Food below average.. my partner had a very dry burger and the worst restaurant he’s been to in his opinion. I had a medium-rare steak which again was dry, been chewing for time. The lemonade tasted nothing like lemonade, tasted bad like cucumber 🤢 There were a lot of dirty tables around us and nobody was cleaning them.. and it wasn’t even busy to be understandable.I liked the garlic fries and our waiter was nice. ( young, tall man with an afro ). Food came quickly which was good.My experience at Tgi’s in the past was good.
This place just isnt worth the money no more. I paid about £7.50 for the nachos and there was hardly no avocado, salsa or sour cream. The steak was burnt and really charred so we complained and they did let my son get something else. I really used to like it here but its gone down hill a lot
By far the worst TGIF Ive been to. Really bad and slow service. The food was mediocre, which isnt normally the case with other TGIFs. Additionally, I asked if I could order dessert after the mains and the waitress said "sure, no problem". When I did try to order a dessert, they said that I couldnt because they stopped serving them as their pastry chef finished their shift. Also, their reservation system doesnt make any sense; you book a table and still have to wait in a queue thats common for both bookings and walk-ins. Overall extremely dissatisfied.
Come here to have a meal with my partner, we have been here before but there was some noticeable differences. 10 minutes waiting to be given a seat, they staff let a x2 parents let there kids just use the restaurant as a playground. Food was a bit slow to get out and after each meal, staff walked by without taking the plates off our table. It was obvious they didn’t have enough staff on duty that day.
Great food, staff, atmosphere. We really enjoyed our first TGI Fridays and will return if we are back in Stratford. The June bug cocktail is amazing
I had the sweet by choice mocktail which wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting it to be, so the name did not fit. The prawn linguini looks amazing, but I felt that it was just seasoned with chilli and no other flavours were coming through the dish. I squeezed a lot of lemon which assisted in flavour. The prawns were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed these in the dish more than the linguini. It was decent but I wouldn’t go for that option again. I enjoyed the tortilla chips with the avocado hummus, a dip I have never tried before. I like that it was also topped with avocado pieces, enjoyed this appetiser. The knife and fork were left on the table without a napkin underneath and the fork was not clean as it had some green vegetable that wasn’t washed off. It was replaced once I asked staff. Staff were helpful and tended to our needs. This was my first TGI Fridays experience.
This is my favourite TGI Fridays. Made a lot of good memories here over the years. Most recently, I visited in December.Id built up a lot of stripes so was able to get a full surf and turf for free. It was also my partners birthday so he got a free dessert. The food took a little while to come out, but I was really impressed by the waiter who was polite and attentive, and also remembered all our orders without writing anything down. He didnt even have to write down the code from the stripes or voucher used, he just remembered the numbers. What a memory! As always, the food was great, drinks were great.
First time at Westfields brand and it was amazing from the customer service to the seating, drinks and to food...I couldnt fault anything.Only negative is they have changed the menu so less choice; the loaded fries no longer have chillies and mince but blue cheese which in my view is not smart, less appetizers also but other than that fab!!!
Very friendly staff, they really care to make your experience be amazing in the restaurant. The food was very tasty, especially the short rib, home sauce wings and potato skin with beef. We will be back soon!
If your thinking of going here save your self the trouble and think again. The staff - I am all for teenagers needing jobs so they need to start somewhere but training is highly required. Having people to stand at the front then when asked questions of can you send someone to serve us the reply was " I dont take orders. Theres someone who works the sections but I dont know where they are but I dont take orders" then asking us what we wanted to drink even though she wasnt taking orders or was she prepared to as there was no notepad in her hand and looked completely lost and clueless! People waiting to be served and having to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour to order and then after waiting for food without no updates or checking on the customer from staff. Then when the food arrives if its not cold or undercooked (as I heard from another booththe fresh food like salads was NOT fresh! The food it self and the tastes are good with the help of the TGI signature sauces. The staff requires ALOT of training! This is not a place I would like to attend again.
The food was really good!Restaurant was clean and kept in a good shape. Friendly and helpful staff. It was a busy Saturday, but we waited way too long for refill and the new drink order. Had finished the meal when it arrived. We also got the wrong garlic bread (they fixed that quicklyand my corn was missing from my meal without any explanation.Still had a pleasant visit and would recommend going :)Cleanest and best Fridays Ive seen in London.
This is not my first time to try Fridays but it is my first time to try this branch, I was disappointed, service is not good at all even if the restaurant was busy but it is not a reason to wait for longtime every time I want to ask any one for any service, food quality wasn’t the best, I tried the Fridays steak and nachos and I was really disappointed
we wanted to eat outside, but a lovely waitress told me how she booked every table, frankly it’s unbelievable. three pictures prove this. The lovely waitress didnt ask me to seat in the restaurant.
Ive had TGI for many years...always got what they used to call the Jack Daniels sauce...Its amazing!! Now its called the legendary glaze and its still the reason I keep visiting. The chicken strips and steak with the legendary glaze are recommended, I always love to drown the steak and fries in the sauce, wasnt as fond of the ribs and corn.At this branch I was served by one of the best waiters, amazing attitude, open and very knowledgeable...Paul you are legendary!Looking forward to my next visit!
