Milestones - Restaurant in Anmore, Canada
Could be better, could be worse. The staff is better than the food. Not that the food is bad. Just nothing special
Pretty terrible experience ordering from them. They gave us an appetizer version of a dish instead of the entree, and a side of fries were fried to a crisp. Really unfortunate, could use some quality control going out of the kitchen
My partner and I went out for a late dinner on a friday night. It was 8:30 and not busy. We were sat right away and told our server would be right with us. We waited 5 mins and no server. Another man brought us waters and told us Rachel would be right with us. We waited another 5 mins and then she came. She spoke so quietly it was hard to hear her. I ordered a pop and we ordered an appy. 10 mins goes by and our appy comes but no drink. I flag down another server and asked if she could find ours Cus I ordered a pop and it still hasn’t come. Another 5-7 mins goes by and then she finally arrived with my pop saying something about the bartender having to change the keg system, not sure how that pertains to a soda but okay. I asked if we could order our entrees and we did, my partner ordered the crispy chicken burger and I ordered the half ribs with prawns and Cajun fillies, I asked for a side of bbq sauce with my ribs when I ordered and she said okay. Our food came out (both times someone from the kitchen brought it outand no ketchup or bbq sauce for my ribs. My partners fries were so over cooked and cold they were hollow inside. Of course our server was nowhere to be seen and she did not come once to quality check our food. The prawns were cool and over cooked as well. I was in such a bad mood after that I just wanted to go home. We went out for a date night together and ended up having one of the worst experiences in a restaurant that I can remember. I will not be going back there.
We were just there waited for a while to be seated. None of the staff were or showed up at the entrance … so we just left for another place.
Delicious food. Decent atmosphere though some bleedover from the bar crowd. Filet, chicken parmesan, salmon all good. Cookie for dessert.
Ordered the steak and it was like eatting a baseball glove, the knife given to me couldnt cut through the thing. The waitress was nice but operationally flawed restaurant where the kitchen staff brings the food without proper cutlery.
Always a decent experience, service is friendly, food is tasty and interesting. Coffee was weak.
First time trying this location. We go to have late dinner and we order three dishes to share with friends. Good food and service. I will go back someday for sure.
Came for a private event. Our server was top form and the seafood cakes were excellent. The non-alcoholic grapefruit Pink Fizz drink is very refreshing with a blend of tart and sweet.
I took a friend here for a late birthday dinner and me, having not been at a Milestones for many years, truly was unprepared for the sheer quality of the meal and the impeccable service. From the Caesar salad, the margarita, the filet with crab and shrimp beurre blanc, to the coffee and triple layer carrot cake, there was nothing spared. I think Ive found a new favorite spot, and Ill be back very soon. Thanks for making my friends birthday a truly memorable experience!
Dinner service was very, very slow. Took almost an hour and a half to get our food and it wasnt very busy. The drinks were good and speedy but the for the prices they charge it was a bit long to be waiting for dinner. Unsure if maybe they are understaffed but the server didnt seem very familiar with the menu items. Once the food got to us it was fine but nothing to write home about.
Excellent food, extra large portions. We took chilli chicken for starter (split between two), and chicken with mushrooms, veggies and spaghetti also split. Was so much food it was hard finishing the half portion, but so good we cleaned the plates ...Great service too. Bathrooms pleasant and sparkly. We will certainly come back.
Had the filet mignon with the shrimp/crab side - the steak was ok the crab/shrimp was very small order and the shrimp was very tough. Had the potatoes which were mediocre. Definitely NOT worth the $56 it cost
Have no pictures bc the place is kind of dark environment. Theres a plenty of room to have a comfortable dinner. Hostess were friendly and the set up a table for us right away without reservation. Why only tree stars? The service was kind of uninterested with us. She wasnt taking care of us the way you expect when going to a place like those. She smiled, deliver the food, and picked up the table. I ordered a burger with some kind of dressing which was extremely sweet. Sweet enough to make every bite hard to take. French fries were good and tasty. Two of my friends ordered some tender steaks and they were surprised about the flavor. My advice : the carpet looks and smells weird. Its time to call someone to take care of it. I would definitely give them a chance again.
I enjoy the ambience here very nice and cozy to go too and it is not that loud which is great awesome place for a date night, one of my experience was that it was close to closing but they still took us in thank you for that!! Thw salmon dish is great strongly recommend that and clean place as well as the staff are awesome welcoming and always smiling keep it up
The food was great because it always is at milestones, but sad to say I had some of the worst service of my life. The two gentlemen who helped us from I think the kitchen staff were great, but our actual server only visited the table once, didnt even really say hello, never stopped by to ask us if we wanted more drinks or checked in on how our food was, and we had to go ask the hostess to send her so we could pay. It was my moms last night in town and we would have loved to stay, have some drinks and dessert to celebrate, but unfortunately that requires a server...food was good though!
Second time here. Both times I was skeptical due to the peeling paint and seemingly ignored state of the exterior of the building. Both times I was pleasantly surprised at the classy interior.First visit was for dinner, had the spinach and artichoke dip which was excellent, then ribs for dinner, perfectly cooked. Not so soft that it falls apart when you try to pick it up but tender enough that the meat falls off the bone when you go to take a bite. Both times Ive been its been fairly slow. The first time was an early weekday dinner so understandable. The second was brunch. Usually this is off putting during a peak brunch time but everywhere else nearby had a 1+ hour wait. Glad I decided to come here again because once again it was amazing. They were understaffed yet I still felt the service was attentive. Servers name was Axel if I remember correctly. I asked if they could do a cappuccino with a dairy-free alternative and they said of course they could try, but if I didnt like it they wouldnt charge me. Even before I received it. Once I did, it tasted great. We got three appetizers to share. Calamari, sweet chili chicken bites, and the spinach dip once again. Everything was delicious. The calamari might just be the best Ive ever had. The texture was perfect, not too gummy as you might often find with overcooked calamari. The three of us got classic benedicts for our mains. Eggs were done perfectly, soft as requested. We will certainly be returning, whether it be for brunch, lunch, or dinner. First visit was a date and the second was an outing with three people but the layout seems like it would be great for larger parties of 10+.
Came here for happy hour on a whim and it turned out to be an amazing dining experience!Got all 3 of the Milestones SignaturesBellini - Great Mix & FlavorsCoconut Calamari - Crunchy Batter, Juicy Squid1989 Burger - Probably one of the best burgers Ive had in a whileThe Ganache Torte was not that great haha
Service was absolutely horrible & slow. We were finished our meal before the wine came. We were out of water & had to ask the server to bring us some water. Will NOT be back & recommend you avoid this restaurant. Choose another place to eat.
One of the few Milestones still left. But a great meal just like always. We had a few appetisers (get the Spinach Dipand drinks and had great service and great food.
Easy location to get to. Large parking lot. Staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. The happy hour specials from 3-6pm (and again 9pm to closeare really good. I enjoyed my Baja Fish Tacos and salad, very yummy 😋
As usual at Milestones, food was good. But still cant give it 4 or 5 stars. Because the whole experience matters, not only food. And its simply not acceptable that at 7pm, even on a weekday a restaurant like Milestones runs out of...cocktails, one of the main courses, and one of the deserts too. Thats something that so early in the evening should not happen in a restaurant like Milestones.
We had a large group gathering on the 2nd floor. The staffs at the bar were great and attentive. The food (buffetwas bad. Chicken was dry, roasted beef was chewy and the sides (alferdo spaghetti and smashed potatoeswere tastless. The ravioli and salad were good. The chocolate cake and cheese cake were way too sweet. Overall not a great experience.
Ginger glazed salmon..very yummy..a tad too much garlic in the rice but I eat it all.
I used to love coming here but now i can’t even stand the thought of going in. Upon entering the smell of rancid food and grease overwhelms even the welcoming receptionists. The carpets are old and sticky… possibly moldy. Some of the food is still really nice but some have now been made to be too greasy. With the new cactus club opening soon, I think it would be better for them to give the restaurant a facelift for their own good
We were there on Mother’s Day, so the place was Absolutely packed. Food was still hot, correct and fast. Which is impressive with such a full house. Big portions, kind server
Not bad but they messed up some details on our reservation, we asked for a table to accommodate a mobility issue and they gave us a booth we had to go up and down small flights of steps to get to despite having more suitable tables they could have reserved for us (they were told about the mobility issue when we made the reservation a week in advance). Despite these issues the food and service was alright.
I love milestones... In this location though the service was very slow on the 2 occasions I visited ... We waited almost an hour for food that is why I cant give 5 stars... The staff are nice and the food is delicious.husband ordered portobello mushroom chicken- it is a generous portion and delicious .I ordered the California spring salad and seafood spaghetti and it was also delicious. My mother ordered sweet potato fries and they were pretty spicy, didnt bother us but just a heads up.I recommend but be prepared to wait a while for food ..
Second time here. Not impressed - again. Won’t go again. Service was fine both times - but food was mediocre at best. I have been to other locations where food is always good. This one just can’t seem to get it right. My dinner came and was cold - sent it back, and the next round hardly had any chicken and was mostly won tons and not much hotter. I ate it b/c I was starving. They didn’t discount it or take it off the bill. We also ordered the tempura vegetables which were not tempura at all! They were like overcooked beer battered veggies. Terrible. I noticed the table beside us also sent something back. Also, they must have poor ventilation b/c first time we went it reeked of smoke (like something got burned in kitchenand there was a thick haze of it in the air all through the restaurant, and the second time it reeked of cooked fish and grease. Music was also too loud.
What a night...finally finished a 3 hour dinner for a family of 12 on a Sunday night (6-9PM).Food was decent, service definitely poor (short staffed, the Manager even became the Bartender & waiter, LOL).Waited 45 mins just for glass of water :(
Great flavour and generous portions for the price!I have never been to Milestones before even though I’ve driven past quite a few times. Now that I’ve been here I’m certainly going to come back again. Service was exceptional and our server was quick and efficient.I got a regular burger with sweet potato fries, my partner the california burger, and our friend the chicken parmigiana. The flavour was great, meals were perfectly cooked and the portions were quite large. More than I expected. Will be back for sure, so many great items to try.
great customer service and our server was extremely friendly. she recommended some pretty tasty dishes and also ty for the free slice of birthday cake! my friend was reallyy happy about it!
The portion size is good but not the taste. The dishes seemed overpriced as comparable taste wise. Had to send back our pop back as it had no fizz .All stars are for our server today 👍
Best hollandaise sauce on perfectly cooked poached eggs. Great service and all the food came at the same time.
I ordered take out today. And when I went to pick up the order 30 min later…. I found out that my order could not be found. I was going to order via their website but there were few things not shown on the online menu, so I had to call instead!I was very disappointed that my order disappeared and they did not apologize for anything. I had to place another order, and it was another 30 min for wait. I have a toddler that needed to eat right away and messed up my entire plan and my toddler’s schedule for the night.I am very frustrated at the fact that I spoke to one of their staff on the phone and that lady did repeat my order, asked for my name and phone number … but the food was not there!!!! I am very disappointed at their service and how they have handled the situation.Definitely not a place that I want to order again!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡And…. I reorder by showing my online order screen shot + ordered the things not online. It was spaghetti + no thanks for add on. The person read the order as no spaghetti. So I opened my take out and found the spaghetti removed from my plate…… 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Food is always good at milestones. Didnt like that the Steak and Frites came with some awful hard root vegetable fries instead of Regular fries that Steak and Frites should come with. Name the dish Steak and Hard Root vegetable fries so the customer is not surprised and has to argue with the server who argues back!Loved the portobello chicken though.
Im a huge fan of milestones, eat here frequently but admittedly its been awhile due to the pandemic and this was my second time at this location.I had the ravioli, it was ok. I found the garlic cream sauce to be a little too reduced and super garlicky, it was almost like eating roasted garlic puree on pasta with apple slices and tiny tomatoes. The calamari was a bit disappointing. It was oily, slightly over cooked and tasted fishy, which yes its seafood, however, seafood should not have a fishy taste if its fresh. What I do love about their calamari is that its a hefty chunk of calamari and not a flimsy piece of squid.Their signature bellini was to die for as always and my server was a very kind woman.
The food was pretty tasty. Although for the price I would have wanted a larger portion for the dish. The service here was ok. The hosts were polite but the interaction wasn’t especially special. I would recommend people order their food and only dine in if it’s a must.
Service is good and price is reasonable. Free parking is available. Needs a little adjustment on the lightning to make it just a little bit brighter. The steak is good and the portobello chicken mushroom as well. Dont forget to order dessert, they are good. Food portion are ok for the price. Implements COVID protocols.
Fantastic early dinner at Milestones! Great Happy Hour specials, delicious food, excellent service and a great patio. Will definitely be back again!
A favourite neighbourhood hangout for my family. Of all the local restaurant chains, Milestones does not disappoint us. It has been consistent with food, service and overall experience (at least this Coquitlam has been).Pros: their food selection is large and their dishes are unique and tasty, price is affordable, serving portions are generous, line ups are usually not a problem if you have no reservation and you get in just before peak hours, drink menu has a good selection of cocktails, wine and beer. Their locations have plenty of parking and we always feel we get the value for what we pay for. Their patios are spacious and nice but sometimes hard to get a seat on a sunny day.Cons: service is sometimes lacking (depends on where you are seated), bathrooms are sometimes not too clean, payment system for some reason was awkward. Usually you can pay with a wireless debit machine, but this time I had to go to the bar to make a payment. So far, we tried the Stacked Chicken Parmesan, the Milestone California Spring Salad, the Mediterranean Chicken and the Surfside salad. All were winners.
Nice and big restaurant. We had the Coconut Calamari and the Grilled Sirloin. Food was okay. The grilled steak was quite dry, tough and chewy.
We have been several times in Milestone restuarants different locations, and always enjoyed the food, it is a bit pricy but yummy... Tonight we decided to order some food via Doordash, but we got shocked after receiving food. The portion was way less than what we usually get for dine-in. Also food was cold. Just look at the picture taken tonight, and tell me does it worth $59??!!?
Not sure if its because I havent been to milestones in a while but their portion sizes have increased! We were pleasantly surprised and left with a bunch of leftovers. Delish!
Great service, huge restaurant, patio upstairs and an outdoor seating area downstairs! Boot seating on the lower floor and high tops up stairs. Outdoor heaters are awesome! The food is delicious! Everything I’ve tried is good! Service once again is always top notch.
The Goat cheese platter was delicious! Server was very friendly! Food came out quickly! Bellinis were great as always! Perfect place for a Babes and Bellinis girls night out 💗 We went back today after a long time and the Eggs Benedict Hollandaise sauce was completely different then the one we ordered before we won’t be ordering it again. The Traditional Breakfast was delicious with fruit instead of bacon. The kids meal with salmon and rice was so tasty. The server was friendly and the food took a little while to come out. It’s a challenging time for everyone.
Friendly place, targetted for group gatherings. Can get loud, busy. Service was good. Veg friendly; notably veg burger was really good (speaking as a meat eater, tried a bite). Note, it is on a bun that contains egg. The squash ravioli was delivous too. Really loved the beets salad. Compared to other chain restaurants, it is quite good - drinks, service, food 👍.
The food here is good as usual. Came to this restaurant for a night out, for my parents birthday. The servers were always rude, even when we ordered. We never complained to the manager despite the long wait. The manager came, saying their apologies for the wait, giving us extra appetizers. The waiter probably assumed that we had complained. Since then, the worker was even ruder to us.... up until it was time to pay the check. We left a good tip, as the manager was so nice and considerate BUT we don’t know if it was justifiable due to the poor attitude from the waiters.
For a Friday night, I didnt expect a seat quickly. Our server came almost immediately. Told us that she was training. Ordered our drinks and food. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server apologized for the length of time it took to get our food and gave us 2 deserts. I thought it was a good gesture but dinner was 2.5 hrs long. Food was fine. Im not sure what happened. I didnt get an explanation.
I came here yesterday with a few family members and had an amazing experience. We were seated immediately and had the friendliest waitress. The food was so good, I had the shrimp creole and the white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Also had the spinach artichoke dip for appetizers. Will definitely be coming back here.
