International-themed vegetarian restaurant which favours organic, seasonal produce and wine.
A much loved vegan friendly spot in soho. I’ve been a handful of times and from noodles to salads to burgers, it doesn’t disappoint. Service is always friendly and welcoming. Don’t be discouraged by not being able to make a reservation, they tend to always accommodate.
Yea decent enough. The burger was a delight, could have had another, well flavoured patty with a hint of spice, decent fillings on top, standard bun.The curry was a bit meek in terms of flavour.I feel harsh judging meet free places these days, the dynamic has changed. As a long time vegetarian its easy to notice organisations are cashing in- veg products are somehow priced the same or above as meat and that doesnt stack up. Im not saying that happens here at all, but the curry was standard. Having done the hard yards when the going was tough, the mark ups on veg food now deter me, especially some of the vegan dross some chancer merchants try. I also have access to people in my network who make it better.Ill be back for the burgers...banging! And so were the drinks, lovely old fashioned!
Easily the best casual vegan restaurant in London right now. Once discovered, I ended up returning 3 days in a row.Forget vegan food, this is some of the best brunch around that just happens to be plant-based (bonus).
I loved this restaurant! The food was amazing, the service was great. Is a nice place to come on a date. The food options were good. I ordered the kimchi fried rice and it is now my favourite dish! We also ordered the curry which was to die for. Definitely recommend this place, if you want to try a new vegan place, or you are vegan or want to know how tasty vegan food is 😁.
I didn’t had a reservation so I was able to seat just by the entrance. I got the chilaquiles and the tiramisu. The chilaquiles portion was very good, taste wise it was good and spicy. The tiramisu was not super sweet , I like them when they are a bit more moist. Overall good experience, the waiter was very good with her recommendations.
Like this place. Need to wait for an hour or so but you can walk around and wait for the message to ask you to come back for your seat. Atmosphere is good, as well is the food. Not sure why but we waited for very long time for the mains. Service is good.
I had heard a lot about Mildreds and it definitely lives up to the expectations. The menu offers a good selection from across the world, ranging from small to large dishes. Every dish we tried was delicious and packed with flavours. Good presentation and portion size. The staff is friendly and adds to the whole experience. The place in Soho is generally busy, so maybe better to book in advance.
Great place to eat vegan food - you dont need to be a vegan to enjoy this amazing food. We all had different dishes and they were all well presented and tasted great. The menu is a good size for the place, giving you the option of a large meal or small bits.A good selection of drinks.A bit of a squeeze in some areas but the tables were clean and well presented.Friendly and happy staff.A must visit if you are in Soho.No on street parking as roads are narrow,Recommend booking as it is always busy 😁
I really enjoyed my meal at the Soho branch. Excellent range of selection on the menu. Despite being an all vegan options, its an incredible choice for anyone, meat afters or not. The staff were really helpful. The place is buzzy but tends to be busy during weekends.
Did not have a very good experience with Mildreds. Was really looking forward to it since you always have to make a reservation for dinner. I went for a date and would not recommend this place for a romantic date night. The restaurant is incredibly crowded so you can hear the conversation of your neighbor as loudly as your date.I saw that they have much quieter seating upstairs and I was quite disappointed I didnt get that experience. The food was good, though a bit overpriced for the portion. In combination with the atmosphere I probably would not return again. It if I did it would be for lunch since other review photos seem much less busy.
Had a good time here, the artichoke starter was lovely and had tons of flavour, the two mains of bokkeumbap and amba chicken skewers were nice too but more regular tasting. Food was quick and staff were friendly and nice. The restaurant was a bit crowded and busy so very loud unfortunately but mostly pretty good!
Fantastic lunch, one of the tastiest I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere, food and staff was great. The menu is vegan, but it doesn’t disappoint. I really recommend the Mango Kebab. The service was a little slow when trying to get the bill and we had to walk up to get it. But otherwise it was super.
What a wonderful lunch we had today. We opted for three small plates to start (because we couldn’t choose just twoand then a main each. We shared a carafe of rosé too. I have a food allergy and an intolerance and find it really hard to get vegan food that I can eat out. The staff were super attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was not just beautifully presented, not just super delicious and not just creative and inventive but also reasonably priced and served in the most welcoming environment. When you get your bill, there is a business card that has flower seeds encased in it and you can plant them when you get home! What an amazing place! One visit is not enough.
Mildreds cafe is honestly one of the best lunch experiences I have ever had. The menu looked amazing, but when the food actually came out... It was even better than I expected. Fusion cuisine done so well, reasonably priced and a fantastic setting. We also indulged into the cocktail menu which once again didnt disappoint in the slightest. And finally, the staff, what can I say, so kind and helpful. I certainly would come again
Small, really friendly vibe, good service (generally on the ball but they offered condiments for fries and forgot to bring it). Food was amazing! We had the brunch breakfast, the bbq chick*n burger and the cookie cheesecake. Washed down with a latte (oat, almond or soya milk availableand Dalston cherryaid. Generous portions, not rushed, despite how busy they were. Tables are very close together, but that adds to the vibe. Service charge is automatically added to the bill. Looking forward to my next visit already.
Such a great vegan dining experience! We absolutely loved the food and the service was outstanding. Same ownership as Mallow, which we also highly recommend. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Cute atmosphere with hidden gems like plant seed cards and cook books. High quality food and value for price. Very helpful staff as well. Even though I am not vegan or vegetarian, I admire the food and the taste. (My girlfriend loved the cbd drink)
Stopped by for a quick bite and a coffee. We had two starters a veggie gyoza and spinach pancake balls. Both were surprisingly rich and flavourful. We’ll definitely come back here for a lunch or dinner! Staff is super friendly, and know what they’re doing!
FABULOUS. One of our top meals in London. Bookings needed! Heres a picture of how small it is so you can understand. Everything we had was good, just look at all the review pictures!!! Everyone was so friendly and although small, the space is very comfortable! Cant wait for our next visit 🥰
🌱 Plant 🪴 Based beautiful nook. Small place but fill with love and lively environment 💫service was amazing and dishes delightful. Authentic genuine people managing Mildred’s 🌱❤️
Tried their nachos and skewers, along with a cocktail. Skewers were good though the portion was a bit small and I didn’t enjoy the fizzy taste of the sauce on the side. Nachos on the other hand were tasty and satisfying. This location has restrooms on higher levels, didn’t seem like there was a lift, so conquering quite a few steps is necessary.
Great dinner experience! Level of service was high, food tasted excellent and location was prime. We had nachos to start (good one to share), I had the fried "chicken" burger and for dessert we had the creme brulee (good one to share as well). The restaurant has several floors. The ground floor was very busy and therefore a bit noisy, so ask for a quiet table if you really want it.
Really lovely service and delicious food. Will definitely be back. Only dropped a star as I thought portion sizes were a bit small. Otherwise all good and highly recommend a visit.
Visited on a Saturday night without any booking and only had to wait for 15 mins which was great!I had the ranch bbq chickn burger - it tasted delicious but for me it was a little bit on the drier side, this might have been because of the bun.BUT my friends had the roman artichokes and chipotle cheez nachos and they both really enjoyed it.For desserts we had the caramel cheesecake and white chocolate tiramisu and it was really delightful! If youre looking for a plant-based restaurant in Soho, definitely visit this one!
Mildreds have changed hands (2019and gone completely vegan instead of vegetarian. The food was good, great flavour. The artichoke was delicious.
The best vegan food in the whole of London! Packed full of flavour and very accommodating staff. Would definitely recommend.
Went for a late dinner and it was the first time going since it converted to being fully vegan. The menu is extensive and the choice is hard to make! We were both not disappointed tho, the food was incredible! Well flavoured and good portion sizes and the service was good considering how busy it was. Only downsides were that where we sat there was a strong cold breeze and it was really loud. Can’t wait to go back and try the other items.
Great food and showcases vegan dishes at their best. Good portions. Quite pricey for what it is so wouldnt be visiting too often and a little cramped inside. A great experience nonetheless and my under 10s loved it so a win here.
Amazing food!! So fresh and so flavorful. Did not disappoint one bit!!! Service was a little slow but the host was so so kind and considerate.
What can i say.... The food here was absolutely delicious. The flavours, the textures. Just yum!Everything looked so nice was hard to choose.I had the Alma Bowl and couldnt rate it enough! My sister had a curry and that smelt and looked delicious. She enjoyed it too.Staff friendly and helpfulWould highly recommend.
Creative vegan vegetarian food that tastes bland!Came across a media review, so thought to try them out.Was very busy, but food was very over cooked & relied on the sauces to give them any flavour. All natural flavours were gone. The spinach potato fritters were soggy, not crispy— re-heated in the oven.French fries was only item that was good :)Everything else we ordered was like eating straw or memory-foam.The manager & staff were polite, friendly— pity the food doesn’t match.Has great potential if kitchen staff need to love their job and prepare food with care. It’s only surviving because not much other choices for creative vegan eateries in London. A competitor can easily wipe them out with well prepared food.
The food we had was so full of mouthwatering flavour, that for once I was silent whilst eating, and so was my chatterbox friend. The atmosphere was buzzing which is so lovely to see a plant based restaurant thriving. When Im back in London Ill definitely visit again.Top notch!
The brunch menu is beautiful. The English breakfast is so well made and the pancakes are yummy too. My family is also extremely fond of the creme brule and hot chocolate at Mildreds.
I treated myself to a brunch here while I was staying in London. The staff and restaurant were top notch— really cute decor and attentive staff.I ordered two items off the brunch menu: wild blueberry hotcakes and the Big Brunch. The blueberry hotcakes 🫐 were excellent, I just wish there was more blueberry compote— it was delicious. The chantilly cream wasn’t my favorite. The big brunch was a solid veg English Breakfast. The only part I didn’t like was the baked beans, it was like beans in tomato paste. Not good at all. The rest was great— sausage, tofu, roasted veg, and potatoes were great. It was a hearty portion too! Will be back, I can’t wait to try more items on the menu
So great to see one of the original (if not THE originalvegan London restaurants packed out on all floors on a Wednesday night. My mother and I had a fantastic meal and mum loved it even though shes non-vegan. Even though it was so busy the servers were on the ball and the wait times for food and drink were fine.
overall delicious. The presentation was very satisfying. The waiters were immediately interested. The environment is very comfortable and calm. Its not a noisy place. I think there is also an upper floor. 90 percent of those who came to the restaurant were women. I think this gives us some general information.
Excellent food, amazing menu, great ambiance, really popular, great service. I would have given the place 5 stars however the toilet is located two floors up, which is not very inclusive as there is no elevator.
Nice atmosphere, the restaurant has a really nice aesthetic. The food was nice, the starters are great, slightly disappointed with the main.Would definitely go back to try more dishes, nice vegan options!
Went for Valentines meal and it was absolutely delicious. Menu had lots of interesting options, all plant based, and the burgers we had were amazing. The only downside was how busy it was. We waited 20 mins for our table despite booking and waiting quite a while for service (staff were lovely but rushed off their feet). You only get 1.5 hours for your table so it all felt a bit rushed but that may have been the occasion.
Absolutely delicious! We had a great spontaneous lunch here recently and were so happy with our choice, at some point I hope to buy their cookbook, as the dishes we ate were lovely and the staff friendly.
Had a great lunch with a friend, was very busy so it’s best you book a head. Overall the food was lovely and tasted great. The Options on the menu were perfect. The size were very good and fit the price!
Such a lovely experience here for my partners birthday! Our server was Max and he could not have been more helpful. We are gluten free as well as vegan and we had lots of options. The food was phenomenal as was the atmosphere.Highly recommended and a thank you to Max!
Did you go Veganuary? After a team meeting, we decided to have a vegan lunch for Veganuary. My colleague tried @mildredsrestaurants serving international plant based foods.Mildreds📍 45 Lexington St, Carnaby, London W1F 9ANWHAT WE GOT🥟Spinach Gyoza🧅Roman Artichokes🌮Al Pastor Portobello🫓Plum Tofu Gua Bao*🌭Katsu Hot Dog*🍜White Miso Broth**Veganuary menuRoman Artichokes included panelle & herb cream. The artichoke was perfectly roasted and panelle was flavourful. Al Pastor Portobello was taco with mushrooms, jalapeño sour cream & pickled red onion. It’s a wonderful combination. Love the starters🥰🥰🥰@mildredsrestaurants is offering a special menu for Veganuary. So we ordered all the mains from the menu for trial. Gau Bao had a deep fried tofu with five spiced red plum sauce sesame & miso mayo while Hot Dog included a meat free hot dog and came with a bowl of curry sauce. My colleagues said they were average good but not as wonderful as the starters😅Initially I expected White Miso Broth would be a soup noodle but actually it liked Lo Mein😅 It included chilli bean club tempeh and shiitake. The noodles were soft and it’s full of beans. I didn’t taste miso but it’s rich and flavourful. 🥰🥰🥰How’s the gyoza? See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for details 🤗After Christmas and New Year, most of us should gained some weight with tasty festive foods. Veganuary is good for us to clean up our body to welcome more tasty foods in a year. 😁
Delicious food but very small portions so not the greatest value for money! The coffee was also a little disappointing so I would recommend one of their signature juices or smoothies instead! Great atmosphere, aesthetic and staff, I would just definitely recommend adding a side or two to your main dish if you want a meal 🤍
I found Mildreds on HappyCow and I decided to pay it a visit for a breakfast. The place is very small but the food & service were really good. I had an avocado toast and an orange juice and both tasted great. The waitress was friendly and efficient, and prices are in line with other similar vegan places in London. It has been a very positive experience overall and I will definitely be back soon.
Absolute favourite place to dine in London. It does get quite noisy at peak times so if sensitive to noise i would go at the earliest booking.Amazing food.
2* for ambiance, 2.5 to max 3* for the taste of the food. Food quality was perfectly fine.. Just the taste wasnt great.5* for the amazingggg service by Christos who was not only super helpful, efficient, and friendly but also was super fun and very talented. I think our experience wouldnt have been as nice and cheerful if it wasnt for his outstanding service!!!!Things I tried:Beef burger - Burnt patty that did not taste nice at allChocolate cake - Rastewise out of this world. Definitely one of the best cakes Ive had, though the size was too small, therefore not value for moneyLamb kefte - Just average. If it was half the price, then Id say amazingCoconut something curry - Amazing. If I ever come again, Id have it.Ambiance - was too small and crowded.. Lighting wasnt the nicest. Overall not bad.Customer service by the waiters was really good. Staff had absolutely no ego, were friendly, helpful and very attentive.
Delicious! Im not vegan and I enjoyed everything I tried. I got the ChickN kebab which was very good and well seasoned. I wasnt the biggest fan of the vegan creamy sauce but that was minor. The cauliflower starter was lovely and the potato side was amazing.
An absolute must for anyone who eats a vegan diet! (Though Im sure even meat eaters would love it here too!We were so excited by all the options and wanted to try everything so well have to go back. The food we did order was absolutely wonderful and even the drinks were different and delicious. Cant wait for our next visit!
The menu here only gets better. A lot of thought has gone into the balancing of flavours and textures in these dishes (drools while typing). I had the levant spice kebabs and highly recommend! The artichokes are also always a great starter and the staff know the menu very well. Ill be back soon
