An airy, light-filled space with all-vegetarian menu, modern 60s design, & yellow interior details.
Really nice restaurant and with excellent staff! Always happy to assist with whatever food/service related as well as providing a charger for my friends phone. Great food, great service, will come again 👍🏼
Amazing place. Extensive menu and the food really was delicious (this from someone whose usual fayre is meat & two veg). Friendly staff and dog-friendly. What’s not to like!
Best vegan food in Dalston! Great service, lovely people, Marta was so welcoming, even though we didn’t have a reservation.
We had the best evening! Thanks to Martha for making the night so special! Fantastic hospitality, absolutely amazing food! Will be back soon :)
Lovely kind staff - can’t fault them. But v expensive and small portions. And the whipped avocado is not just liquidised avocado - so much sunflower oil added (to add volume and save money?that it made me nauseous. Should give ingredients on menu to help customers choose wisely. Only says: ‘whipped avocado toast, omega seeds, charred salsa roja, sourdough £8.50’ no mention of sunflower oil
Celebrating two daughters Birthdays, one of whom has been a vegan for 10 years.Food was the best vegan food we have ever tasted. Good service, pleasant surroundings.Relaxing.Amazing. We will definitely meet up at another Mildreds
Stopped in to try the new menu! Very excited to see sausage and mash is back and better than ever. The OG favourite mildreds dish. Don’t forget to try the bokkeumbap!!
Absolutely amazing tasting vegan food and service. Staff are amazing too so do highly recommend!
Have been to Mildreds Dalston many times. Recently tried the Sunday brunch menu for the first time and the pancakes are absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, great food, warm atmosphere and friendly staff.
Best pancakes in Dalston! Absolutely delicious - fluffy, moist, fresh and aromatic. Fully recommend!
Brendan from Mildreds Dalston is FANTASTIC! I took my three (adultdaughters there for brunch on Saturday. He was funny, attentive (without hovering), knowledgeable and to be honest, dealt with all our frills and fancies (of which there were manywith humour and a calm grace. We loved him and would definitely go back there for him and for the sweetcorn fritters (which were also fantastic). Hes an asset M@D - dont let him go!
Hadn’t been to Mildred’s in 2 years and certainly won’t leave it that long again. The food looked and tasted amazing and the portions were great as well. Staff were so friendly and struck a great balance of being attentive but not pushy. We had lovely Brandon to help us with recommendations. Shrimp po boy summer sandwich & Korean fried chick n burger, size wise just right with a generous portion of regular & sweet potato fries. Great choices, thanks Brandon and definitely explore south east London when you get a chance 😉. Price wise very reasonable considering we’re in the heart of trendy but pricey Dalston. Will definitely be back.
Amazing restaurant with great plant based options! Food and cocktails were very good. The staff was friendly.
Brilliant. Amazing food with great combinations of flavours. Excellent service as well.
Had the best food and the best time.Mildreds never disappoints 👌
The perfect vegan place (whether youre a vegan or not). Would eat here much more if I could! Shared the nachos, hummus and pita along with some spinach fried balls thing. Id recommend just coming for the vibes if the food isnt your thing.
Ohhh we had a wonderful time at Mildreds Dalston. All the staff were so friendly and attentive while still giving us time to have a relaxed catch up. The food was delicious and great portions. Its rare to find a plant based restaurant with unique tasting food. Loved it! Looking forward to coming back!
Never disappoints, always amazing food and lovely service :)
Although I feel really heavy after my meal, it was extremely delicious. It’s also a great place to study! The staff was a delight, as a bonus. ☺️
Mildreds is generally an easy restaurant if youre stuck in where to go for veggie/vegan places to eat. The service at this particular branch is always brilliant! But the general Mildreds menu is a bit pretentious, it leaves you questioning what on earth youre ordering... Although, every dessert Ive EVER had here has been delicious so dont let the words on the menu put you off! Enjoy the food!
The vegan chicken burger is amazing and tastes exactly like fried chicken. However they add service charge and 1 to your bill to go towards Ukraine without asking… so beware of all the extra costs! Customer service was satisfactory.
Incredible range of plates, really well portioned and amazing warm service and staff (thank you Brandon!!- will definitely be back 🥰
Absolutely stunning food. Incredibly fresh, and super tasty. If you havent visited please do. You wont be disappointed. Also dog friendly which is a bonus😍
First time trying Mildreds and was I amazed! Spectacular, kind and attentive service.Rich, unique flavors. Really appreciated the textures of the food. Definitely taking vegetarian to the next level. Appreciated the gluten free options. Definitely looking forward to return.I think the Google location needs to be adjusted to reflect the correct entrance, as there is construction going on.
Delicious food. My partner and I are not vegan but we love this place. It’s also a beautiful place, quite chill and cosy.
Absolutely amazing. Decor reminds me of my grandparents place (but make it hip). Everything on the menu is vegan! Delicious brunches and a good selection of drinks.
Really chilled atmosphere. Soft, calm background music. Large, high ceilinged room. Mellow, soothing vibe. Polite, talkative, accommodating staff. Interesting, creative vegan dishes. Obviously not cheap but a very positive and pleasant experience overall
A nice Vegan restaurant located just outside Dalston Junction station.Unfortunately the square in which is located is undergoing refurbishment so it is surrounded by scaffolding. It is a large and airy venue with a bar and ample dining tables. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Unfortunately we did not enjoy the Korean Chick In Burgher which was hard and clearly overcooked. The Manageress was very good visiting our table and when told was gracious enough to remove the items from our bill. The starters however were very good especially the Haldi Gobi and the Portobello. We may visit again but we shall certainly avoid the Burghers
Ordered the Korean burger and my friend a pad thai ! Amazing combo :)For dessert we had a cheese cake too and some cocktails. The place is really stylish and staff is nice too.Overall the price is fair base on the product and the amount of food you get.Enjoy !
Super tasty food and so happy to find they have an onion and garlic free menu! Lots of flavour which you often don’t get when eating out with onion and garlic free dishes. Dessert was sooo good. Nice to be able to sit outside with lots of space.
Really nice place for veggie people and others who want to experiment.Cozy contemporary interior with nice seating and excellent friendly service. This restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Dalston.Food was okay. Had a bean burger and a kiri hodi style dish with vegetables and rice. Was nice, required a bit more spices.Worth a visit if you like vegetarian food or trying something new.
Lovely staff with great food. Ive been to other Mildreds before and enjoyed it. Had my first time in Dalton branch and was happy to discover theyre now fully vegan. We were well looked after during our meal and the food was also amazing. We had banana blossom tacos, Korean fried chickn burger, and tofu pad Thai. We finished it off by sharing faux-rerro fudge cake. Definitely recommended especially for the lovely staff they have in Dalston.
Absolutely incredible vegan fare. The Roman Artichokes appetizer was a great starter, the polenta being super fluffy. The Levant Spiced Kebabs were so perfectly charred, seasoned and meaty. The Basil Polpette Pappardelle pasta and meatballs were also amazing. Paired with an incredible summer drink and wrapped up with the Pink Wednesday Truffles, Mildreds presented the best meal I had in my entire London trip. A trip to a Mildreds will be a requirement for every return visit.
Delicious!Had the Korean Fried Chick’n burger with kimchi, that was a messy, delightful dish.We also had the Pad Thai which did not disappoint with large portion and egg-like tofu bits.Desserts were amazing too! Will come back.
This place is good, but only good. Staff were very sloppy and slow to serve us, which was a shame because the food was so good so it put a downer on the evening. This place is probably better for a simple lunch or takeaway as opposed to a proper place to have a nice vegan meal out in London.
I was lucky enough to come and dine in this restaurant. It’s all vegetarian restaurant and loving the dishes presented on the menu. The spinach gyoza was delicious although slightly too much chilli oil on mine. The main course was superb, loving the combination of the coconut curry which wasn’t too spicy. This is definitely a great restaurant to come if you want some lovely delicious non-meat option meal.
Super tasty veggie and vegan food, I had the sweet potato curry which Ive posted below. The staff are friendly, they are taking peoples temperatures as they enter and there are plenty of bike racks around if youre a cyclist
Lovely decor and nice food. Been there already twice, unfortunately the service is friendly but extremely slow and lacks attention, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
The restaurant has a really big space and chilled vibes, especially in the lunch time is never too busy! The food is really good but for the price I was expecting bigger portions. The staff is friendly and helpful!
It was okay, I found the Mildreds in Camden and Kings Cross to be much much better in terms of food quality and taste. Pricey for what it was here, coffee was cold but its nice inside and the decor is nice, staff were friendly
Surprise find in Dalston. Great Vegetarian food (mostly vegan), really good combination of flavours and textures, took some people who had never been to a vegan restaurant before and they were converted! Really friendly and welcoming staff, 5 of us and 2 small dogs arrived late without a booking on a Friday night and they were very considerate and managed to put a table together. Also very dog friendly, got us a bowl of water without asking. Nice relaxing interior and good location by theTrain /bus station. Thoroughly reccomended and will be trying their other branches in London (think 4 in total)
Delicious food and incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Had an amazing meal here and was so impressed by the variety on the menu including delicious non alcoholic drinks. Special shout out to the staff, who helped out when my partner forgot is bike lock and prevented our evening ending very abruptly! We got there quite early (6.15on a Friday but there were plenty of tables until at least 7. Only thing about going early is there were more kids than I expected for a Friday night, but that calmed down after a bit :)Find it easily with the what3words address /// fields.stove.among
Pleasant place to eat Vegan food. Even though the food was tasty, it wasnt amazing for the price. And unfortunately, the service was nothing more than almost every other place you eat out. £££.
Food was delicious! I had the Carribbean Jerk tofu and my dining partner had a Sri Lankan curry! All vegetarian and mostly vegan Cornbread and Ravioli for starters!
The starters were really good but I felt the mains let this restaurant down. Starters included mac n cheese, flatbread with hummous, corn bread which was excellent. My main was an ale and mushroom pie which was uninspiring and a tad dry, the burger was okay but again a bit of a let down, my friend seemed to have the best dish which was a curry. Im glad there are vegan and vegetarian dedicated restaurants so big thumbs up for that. The interiors were great and so were the staff. Id give the restaurant 3.5 stars if I could but this only allows me to give it 3. If they improved on the mains then it could be 5 stars. If they concentrated on small plates I think theyd be on to a winner!
Delicious, well-priced vegan/vegetarian haven. Our new favourite dinner spot in Dalston. Great service too. Only slight blip was the espresso coffee at the end wasn’t up to the same level as the food. Oh but Vegan desert selection was mind blowing!
I love Mildreds. They automatically ask for if you have any allegeries before youve even sat down. You then get a full allergens menu. My favourite vegetarian / vegan restaurant in London. So much choice!
Great new spot for weekend brunch with friends. The blueberry waffles with ice cream are delicious. If you like it savoury go for the vegan big brunch: especially the smoked mushroom was divine.
Luminous and sleek space and slow but kind service: really accommodating. The portions could be a bit bigger, but they make sure you have some room for pudding: the pandan panna cotta is quite good.
Ive eaten in the Mildreds in Kings Cross as well. Vegetarian food has become very trendy, but too often a menu just has 1 or 2 vegetarian options, typically risotto. So restaurants like Mildreds are important to show the possible variety. Its all delicious and even has a great cider option.
