Mildreds Camden - Vegetarian restaurant in Suhaj, Egypt
The chef at this restaurant is exemplary. I am actually sitting in the restaurant right now. The food looks wonderful. After ordering, I mentioned I am allergic to Canola oil. Apparently that oil is referred to in the UK as rapeseed oil. The chef noted this, came to me at my table, and apologized that the dish I order ( and many othersare made with rapeseed oil. He then graciously offered me a cup of tea to offset my disappointment. Genuine care and service, what a pleasure! The place is full for obvious reasons! Hope you will enjoy this place, I am smiling for being treated so well🙏
Had a great time with great food, the booths are comfy and bouncy which I liked. I marked down for atmosphere only because it was 8pm on guy Fawkes night and was very busy and loud but thats just my personal preference, definitely not a quiet restaurant as it was very busy but the music they played was not too loud and was very relaxing lo fi type stuff so Im sure at off peak times this place would be quiet and peaceful. The food was great, I cant eat mushrooms and the staff were very good at telling me which options had mushrooms and which didnt which I assume means all food is made in house from fresh ingredients, as other chains have not always been able to confirm whats in certain dishes. The food looks and tastes amazing, a good variety of cuisines from around the world which I liked, I think theres something for everyone on this menu. Ive been wanting to go here for a while and Im glad I did. Could possibly become one of my favourite restaurants.
This place is absolutely lovely, the waiters/waitresses are so nice and caring. Highly recommend the desserts there! However, the fried chicken burger we ordered was really spicy, and that was not directly declared in the menu. Also, there was way too much stuff on the burger what made it really hard to eat. But overall we highly recommend this place!!
Freaking love this place. I am always nervous when I go to vegan places but I would definitely recommend. We had the BBQ pulled pok with skin fries. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and I was shook. The texture and flavor of it was just like regular cheesecake. 10/10 . I had order some to go.
I love to come early on a weekday morning - its very quiet until lunchtime. Get a mocha chat with the incredible, beautiful staff, eat pancakes, meet friends sometimes, read, anything. Its a very chill place, with loads of options, and Im so glad I get to try these excellent foods in vegan form
4.25 stars. Solid vegan food, nice drinks and friendly staff. Located a short walk from Camden town station. Busy on a Friday night but without a booking was able to get a table but next group were turned away.Started with a well made cocktail (mezcal mulewith a nice pashionfruit garnishArtichoke starter was nice as were the mains if Sri Lankan curry and the shitake. White tirimisu was a great way to finish
We love this company! They are pursuing an environmental friendly food and transform meat based food to meat free dishes. This time we ate Buncha with shiitake mushrooms, harrisa home fries, edamame and Roman artichoke. We loved sauce in the Roman artichoke and went very well with the egg frittata! Harrisa fries were potatoes with harrisa seasoning. Edamame is all time our favorite! Buncha was quite similar to the real Vietnamese one.
Delicious food, I enjoyed it both times. Very good and friendly customer service too.
Welcoming place and friendly staff. It was very quiet when I visited and picked over the time I was there visiting. The food had fresh-tasting ingredients and came out right after being cooked…it was so hot I had to wait to eat it. My food came out before my drinks though and I had to wait for them. Only reason it’s not 5 stars.I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in the area!
Staff were nice and cocktails very interesting and refreshing. We liked the lychee martini. The full breakfast that had scrambled tofu was surprisingly nice. The whipped avocado has very strong coriander, so dont get it if you dont like that taste.
One of the best vegan food I’ve had! The chicken burger was great and also the fried rice with tofu and kimchi (a bit spicy, I liked it)
Staff was super friendly and the food was amazing!! Highly recommend even if you aren’t vegan or vegetarian (:
Mildreds is a great, reliable choice for a vegan meal out. The chicken burger is excellent and the coconut based curry is lovely too but just wish there was a bit more to it. Everything is always very tasty. Staff are always nice and its dog friendly!
Delicious restaurant, we had a very good experience. The most amazing was the chicken Korean burger and the dessert was even !
As a non-vegan, I enjoyed this restaurant much more than I expected. I ordered the Korean fried chick’n burger and chips. Really delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant too and super friendly staff.
Fabulous food as always. Have been eating at Mildreds for years & love the way it has evolved & changed. It is vegan now but myself being a veggie & my partner a carnivore makes no difference. Food is excellent. Service always friendly & efficient.
Really amazing food. Such colourful, healthy and diverse meal choices. It was a feast for the eyes, belly and soul. Lovely staff, so friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend. Had a lovely blue haired waitress...what a gem. Keep being awesome!
Lovely service! I accidentally discovered this place and quickly decided to go there. Staff was super friendly & the food arrived quickly. I didnt really know what I was ordering but it ended up alright.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and meal. We were lucky to get a table without booking, food was flavourful, diverse and smelt great. Would recommend to established vegans or almost vegans alike.
Stumbled along this restaurant before a gig down the road. Didn’t realise it was a plant base restaurant. I wouldn’t usually choose to dine in one that solely is plant based as I am a meat eater but I am SO glad I did.The food was the best I have tasted for a very long time. The quality and presentation was 10/10. Prices were lower than I’d of thought and the portion sizes were great. I cannot recommend enough! The staff were also amazing. Thank you!
Absolutely amazing kimchi chicken burger. The sauce was spot on. Their homemade vegan mayonnaise is really creamy and delicious, too!
Very nice food, coffee and fresh juices, I would come Back again for sure. They have excellent table service.
Food is incredible!! The desserts were ok, the cocktails were pretty good.
I’ve been to Mildred’s many times over the years and usually go to the one Soho. Went to the Mildred’s in Camden and it was really great. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Currently they have a “Choose Brazil, Choose Earth” special menu aside from their main menu. From that special menu I’d recommend the Coconut Caipirinha to drink and to eat the heirloom tomato salad and pulled bbq pepper pastel.
The food is incredible, much appreciated by a vegetarian as myself. Lots of flavours and interesting combinations, not to mention the selection of drinks including a summer must-have cbd peach iced tea. The waiters are very friendly and the food arrives fast. Absolutely recommend for great vegan food, preferably book in advance to secure your spot.
Pre-concert meal. Amazing food. Visited the Soho restaurant previously. Service was quick and friendly. Had two cocktails each as well as four small plates and a big plate to share and a white chocolate tiramisu. Highly recommend visiting.
Food was really nice, and fresh. The servers were also nice. Made it feel like family owned. I just wish the portions were bigger as the food was delicious.
Super friendly, no frills, yet high quality vegan food place.
We turned up really late at night and they were the only restaurant willing to seat us!But dont think just because it wasnt our first choice we were disappointed, they were so friendly, they asked multiple times if we were sure we had everything we needed as they were closing shortly, we didnt feel rushed and the food was amazing! We didnt realise it was vegan, but with food this fab, even obdurate meet eaters will come away happy!
Fantastic food and brilliant service. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options to choose from. Its nice to see a lot of variety in the menu. Would definitely recommend this place but it can get busy - especially the one in Camden so I would advise to book in advance!
Quirky and interesting menu, great variety! You dont need to be a vegetarian to enjoy this food, service great also 😁
Gorgeous meals, a full menu of vegan options, so its 100% safe for vegans. They even accepted us in the middle of the afternoon. Beautiful cocktails, mocktails and desserts! Staff was lovely and the venue is great, too.
Great dinner this evening. The fritters were absolutely delicious to start with and I enjoyed the chickn kebabs as my main, however, the absolute highlight was the Tiramisu dessert. The service was excellent, too.
We went for breakfast. We were the first customer to arrived. Staff are friendly and courteous. Food tasted great and portion was alright and substantial. Would definitely come back and check other dishes for lunch.
Couldnt be more pleased! Found this place by accident, very friendly staff, absolutely amazing food and affordable prices! Neither me or my friend are even vegetarian and we cant wait to come back. 😃Only one thing that we would love to see improved were the cocktails but even these were goodWill be thinking about the gochujang mayo for weeks 🤤
Very busy place ...for a reason 👍🏻💓Delicious food, I really enjoyed my meal and Im not even vegetarian.Meals taste fresh, portions are filling and I like the presentation as well. Prices are reasonable.Totally recommend.
Visited as a walk in on a weekend evening, the restaurant was busy but able to accommodate. I am not vegan. The hummus starter was amazing - so smooth and tasty and the bread was also delicious. The Korean chicken burger was lovely, a good texture to the chicken making it taste alot like chicken. The kuftas were not as good and were just grates carrots mashed together, I didnt enjoy this dish as much. It was a good experience. I would prob visit again to try the other things on the menu. It is difficult to get the attention of staff - maybe they were short staffed due to covid, but still very friendly.
As a non vegan i dare to say that i was actually pleasantly surprised. The top picks for me was the aubergine tiganites and the white chocolate tiramisu. The best tiramisu i have ever tried so airy and yet so so tasty.
Food was delicious, long gone are the days when vegetarian diet meant we had to sacrifice the taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐The service was really good. I was going through rather painful episode of dyskinesia from the anti-Parkinsons meds. To anyone who has no idea what is happening I would appear somewhat alarming, and rude due to my mood, speech impediment etc. Much appreciation for the professional way to treat me like a customer. 🙏
Hi everyone, if you’re on here looking for a good vegan restaurant in London- this is it! This is without doubt the best vegan restaurant in London- and I’ve tried a fair few! I live nearby, and have had so many meals here over the years. Every single time, the food is inventive, balanced, flavoursome, diverse and delicious.Unlike a lot of vegan restaurants, Mildreds do not keep anything off limits. There are fake meats like their mind-blowing chicken skewers for those who miss meat, and more whole-food offerings like sri lankan curries or miso mushroom salads for those who want more of a vegetable focus. Desserts and cocktails are really creative, with flavour inspirations from all around the world. They do not feel the need to cater to either the mega vegan junk food market, nor the super health-conscious extreme. It is just well balanced, satisfying food focused on flavours.Everything I eat here is a dish I’ve never seen anywhere else (unlike the butternut squash risottos and beyond burgers of the world.)The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food: it feels like a fancy treat. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely, dimly lit with candals, something I find to be lacking in a lot of other all-vegan places (though I have to confess being in their delivery zone is not kind to my wallet).Thank you Mildreds for showcasing how fantastic vegan food can be. 💚
Consistently delicious and good looking VEGAN food, friendly & attentive staff, beautiful space that is dog friendly. Mildreds is a must visit for vegans and non-vegans.
Had an amazing time! Food was lovely, decent portions and fantastic cocktails. The service was just excellent, everyone was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Will be coming back again!
Ordered coconut curry. It was too thick and sweet, even my vegan friend couldnt finish it because of its taste. Not authentic either. Generous portion but it was just too much.
What a superb meal we had! The Sri Lankan curry has been on my mind ever since, unfortunately, I had also ordered the sublime aubergine starter and struggled to fit this all in my belly, not for the lack of trying!! My daughters had the gyoza and what a triumph they were! So silky and smooth, top marks to the chef. Service was friendly and efficient, atmosphere was buzzing and the gin was good as well. We will definitely be back and recommending it to anyone visiting London until that time. Many thanks for such an enjoyable dining experience.
The food was well made and presented. The coffee was good. The service was good. All 3 of us has the Ruben and only one liked it. One didnt finish it and I struggled through it. I found the texture and combination of flavours unpalatable.I would go back and would try something else.
Giving four stars even though had some issues with the food. But because the service here was very good even though they were quite busy, I think it deserves a higher rating than just based off of the food alone. The staff was very attentive and prompt with bringing out the food.Got the bbq ranch chick’n burger which was pretty good. (Had the bbq sauce on the side so I could add what I wanted to the burger and skipped the red onions. The chick’n was perfectly crunchy on the outside without being oily. I didn’t like the bun for the burger though - it was so airy, without any substance at all. The fries and garlic aioli were good - fries were not greasy or too salty at all.Starter was the hummus and amba which my waitress recomendad. But I didn’t like it. Not only was it a bit spicy for my taste but I couldn’t get any apricot flavor from the amba or harissa. The worst was the pita though. While it was nice that they grilled it, it was incredibly salty. It felt like I was eating more salt than bread. Also there wasn’t enough pita bread for the amount of hummus they gave.Dessert was the caramel cheesecake which I had before at the King’s Cross location. Was good but they didn’t add as much garnishes as the one I had at King’s Cross.I would still come back to this location since I really liked the staff. I would just not order some of the things again.
Delicious place for vegan / vegetarian fare and interesting cocktails. The pappardelle and the fritters are excellent.
Fabulous place! We went to Camden after a considerable amount of time so we didnt really know where to go, but this place was a blessing! The Passion Fruit Cocktails were fabulous, soaked up by a beautiful tofu pad Thai that was super filling:)Will be coming back!
Great service and menu. Ordered the Tofu Pad Thai which was very nice, and my friends enjoyed their meals too. I think the drinks are a little over priced, considering they were tiny!
This place is sublime, great for a nice vegan lunch or, dinner. The old fashioned cocktail is a treat and, my partner described it as the best she has ever had. Thank you! You guys never fail to deliver.
