Milchbar in Zürich (Kreis 2)

Really bad service, very slow and not organized at all. We had to ask 3 times to clean up our table from the previous customers, 2 times to order, had to go inside to get a fork since the desert was served without a fork or spoon and also asked 4 times to pay. Looks like people working there have no motivation and are not organized. Having 3 people for not than more 12 tables at the time we were there should be manageable but it looks like they are lost and confused. Help your service and organize them.

Very nice place, good drinks and cakes, slow services

The waiters were nice but it took them forever to take our order or even notice, we had to get inside to order. When we wanted the check, nobody seemed to see us waving our hands around and literally calling them. It was a little annoying but I still had a good time and maybe I was just unfortunate and the staff had a stressful day.Nice place though. Gonna go again.

Perfect sunny terrace in a cute courtyard with a fountain next to the lake. Recommend for coffees and casual drinks, and the outdoor fondue in winter! Usually a bit understaffed, but shouldn’t be in an issue if you’re not in too much of a rush.

Good atmosphere but the speed of the service is a bit slow ..or maybe the way they manage to serve (not the style of one waiter/waitress for specific tables slow down the service. food is ok.

I gave the 5 Stars because “Boody” welcomed me very good welcoming like he knows me before, even though he is not. I rated this cafe 5 stars because of his way of how did he serves us. He has reached all the expectations.Thanks a lot..

Nice vibe, quiet garden courtyard in the city. Slow service due to insufficient staffs, but staffs are nice. Food is ok. I ordered "Rander Falafel" and a drink-Hugo. Falafel tastes good but the Hugo is bit too sweet. Sure will go there again for tea time.

Almond croissant was incredible (and expensive). Great atmosphere and very pretty.

Great almond croissant. One star down for the service and the fact that it is really slow. We waited 30+m for ordering and another 20 for the coffee to be delivered.

We read the reviews before dinning in this place, everyone was glorifying how amazing this place is. My experience wasnt the same. The place is very nice, especially the outdoor seating, however we sat inside, because it was a little windy that day, and we didnt get any attention for the service.The waiters and waitress didnt bother coming inside to take our order, which made us rethinking the level of service. I stood up myself and went to the chef asking if I can order, he informed me I have to wait until someone takes our order. Simply I should wait!Eventually 15 minutes later, we managed to have someone taking our order. We ordered a plate of cheese, and a flammekuche. After 20-25 minutes of waiting, we received the wrong order for the cheese plate. They had to take it back to kitchen and prepare a new one.The waitress (a young ladydidnt present a friendly gesture throughout the service, and when we asked for the bill, she just disappeared for a while. We had to go again to the front desk and demand the bill to pay. We just want to pay and leave.I would rate the service 2 out of 5.The food taste is 4 out of 5.Value for money 3 out of 5.Ambience is 4 out of 5.

we ate breakfast/brunch at this coffee bar.there was plenty of space outside to sit.i had a cappuccino and the waffles, both tasted amazing!my company ordered the hot chocolate and was also very satisfied.would reccomend!

The location is one of the highlights of my trip to Zürich. Very beautiful patio.I had a delicious banana bread. The food takes a bit too long to be served and the place seems understaffed. Other than that, the waiter was very nice and friendly.I will be back someday for sure.

Horrible service to be honest. When you order a coffee and a meal, they arrive at separate times, and I the service is just so slow. I had to signal the waiter so kanybtimes, waiting to sort out my bill which took like 20 minutes. Great venue but guys you need to work on your service.

Serendipity! Really nice place in the heart of Zurich with great music and coffee. Beautiful and peaceful courtyard. Will be coming back for sure!

As always, very friendly service. Whether just for coffee or for lunch. One never waits long. What always pleases me; the dog gets unaufgefordet always water. I can only recommend..

Ive been to "milchbar" roundabout 3 times already. The drinks are good and the food is tasty. But there is one waitress every time - I dont understand what her problem is but this woman is 1. passive aggressive 2. gives judgy looks 3. doesnt even pick up the orders correctly. I really dont unterstand in what way shes qualified for working there. Very disappointing!

Milchbar is a gem. Its a perfect place to meet up with friends, have brunch or just enjoy some coffee. I really appreciate the attention to detail they give to the interior, their food is delicious and they also have vegetarian options! The staff is attentive, so its always easy to get whatever you need without waiting too long.

Wonderful location for breakfast, they also have great coffee; but their service provides a special combination of mediocrity and arrogance... will not be going back.

Brunch is a breakfast. Service slow. Quality is good but some dishes are small. Location is nice. But tried it yourself.

Beautiful place, indoor patio highly recommended.However, a waitress was extremely rude to me, refusing to give us a glass of water, after paying all our orders and giving a tip, because they were closing in 5 minutes.Incredible to see such a magical place being represented by such a rude employee and ungrateful person.

It is a lovely cafe & restraunt have beautiful, rich, buttery croissants. They are really gorgeous. Only one matter is, they get sold out too quickly sometimes even before 10am in the morning! :-p

The worst Benedict egg I ever had. The bagel was cold and dry (like from the day before; that hard!). The egg was overcooked but the waiter said I should have told him how I wanted the egg (maybe they also use scrambled eggs for the Benedict!). Almost no sauce. Since I was waiting a lot for the food, it made no sense to ask for a change. The others were already eating.

Healthy style cafe with very nice courtyard setting. The menu is not very extensive, but all the items Ive tried are healthy and tasty. It offers table reservation through its website.

Definitely a great place for coffee. Probably one of my favorite ones in ZH. The patio section is very nice and the atmosphere is good. The service is friendly and attentive. Coffee is of good quality with different options. They also offer nice brunch, which is also recommended. Very centrally located around Paradeplatz, yet a quiet retreat from busy shopping days.

We order a hot chocolate. It was not something special. Moreover, waitress was a little bit rude. However, the open garden is very nice and the surrounding is so peaceful.

Slightly over 10 minutes until you are noticed to order. Kind staff and solid knowledge about their menu.The Chai Latte had a high milk <> chai ratio, which made it taste more like hot milk instead of a Chai Latte. This probably depends on personal taste.The Flat White, on the other hand had an excellent ratio of coffee and milk: exactly how it should be (the taste of the coffee, again, is personal taste).Also worth noticing: Milchbar closed at 5pm that Saturday, although Google Maps suggests differently.

Nice place to stop by, get some rest, a coffee and perhaps something to eat. I discovered it by chance, on my way to somewhere else, but liked the place and decided to give them a chance.Good service and a very good curry. Very recommended and no so expensive.

Lovely cafe with excellent fresh mint tea and coffees of all varieties. Seating inside and out by a quiet inner courtyard and fountain. Blankets provided for winter but its at its best in summer.

If you are looking for great food in a classic atmosphere then dont miss this place. Great service and excellent food.

Lovely little cafe, relaxed ambience and great service.I had a Caesar salad, though to be frank I was surprised to see that I was served deep fried chicken with the Caesar salad. Maybe the chef should reconsider. 🙄
