Miku Sushi & Pub - Restaurant in Talara, Peru
Highest quality sushi, creative selections and comfy yet modern decor.
Excellent meal, drinks and service!
Food is great!Service is awesome!
Honestly sushi is to die for and the fact that if you go during Happy Hour you can get it half off? A must. Perfect spot for lunch and to be honest if I lived in the neighborhood I would go every single day.
Really good sushi and their 1/2 off rolls before 6pm is an awesome deal. Couple that with $5 martinis its a staple in the neighborhood
We’ve been going for years. Fresh sushi and great service. Before 6, most of their rolls are half price. Our favorites are Smokey Bear, Veggie Godzilla and Dragon.
Nope. Not coming back there. A waitress with a RBF, who is quite horrible and never brought napkins. We were sitting by the closed windows, but for some reason there were bunch of flies, one of them committed suicide in my cocktail. Moreover, I felt quite a situation in my stomach after this lovely dinner. Just not a clean place overall. Its a no for me.
They have half of maki and I’m coming back next week again with my family. Food was very delicious! Drinks were too. Love the atmosphere and the service!
Só, this place has been a location the hubby and I pass by almost on a daily basis and it just happened to be a spot our friend asked us and a few other friends to come and meet up at.We found out that they have half-off maki and some happy hour drinks. The place is really cute, clean and food was DELICIOUS! Loved the atmosphere and it gets packed. We will be coming back. I hope soon. Also apologize, for not having pictures. We ate the food too soon to even think of pics.
in love! came here for the happy hour special + half price sushi and was not disappointed. amazing value and the wait staff was so nice! truly a no-brainer.
Currently here and honestly so upset. Running late because my coworker and I came straight from work so I called to clarify about the happy hour prices. We were assured that as long as we got there by 6, we’d be good and they’d honor the prices. Sat at the table for 5-10 minutes before the server dared acknowledge us. Ate and it was delicious but overpriced. Cocktails tasted watered down and poorly made. Bill came out and surprise surprise, everything is full price. They come back and say they can only give us a discount on the rolls and not the cocktails. Now it makes sense why the server avoided us; so they could claim we weren’t here til after 6. Absolutely bull. Save your money and go elsewhere.
The sushi is not great (not super fresh or thoughtfully preparedbut there are wonderful deals during lunch and happy hour and a nice location and atmosphere to make it worth visiting.
Stood outside and waited for a seat with my pup. Guy looked at me about 3 different times and just ignored me. Sad.
We absolutely loved this place!Rita was amazing! ♥️ her service was excellent from the beginning she was very friendly and fulfilled our requests! She even surprised my daughter with a kiddie drink aka Shirley Temple! The sushi was wonderful and the drinks were bomb! You cannot beat there half off before 6pmDeal and 4-6pm HAPPY HOUR! the neighborhood is super cute and the patio is so pleasant to just sit outside and chill! We will be back for sure!
Before 6 pm, most things are half the price. I had the Spicy tuna ravioli and the Sushi Matsu Plate. Ive had better sushi elsewhere for less price. Also tried the Pink Panther Martini and didn’t like it. The tables are so close to each other that you have to listen to the people next to you (i was sitting at the the two seater table near the window).
Our last visit was excellent. Service times can be a bit long but food is great.
Miku has great sushi in Lincoln Square and I almost always get their sushi lunch special. Also a big fan of their yakitori and gyoza, and I love that they serve some more unusual offerings like alligator. The staff are really friendly and Ive known them for years. I hope theyll continue to do great business in the neighborhood.
I enjoyed the food. I did feel rushed 30 mins before they closed. They told my table last call 3 times and we werent even drinking. I will go back because the food was good. Try their crab soup! Delicious.
Without a doubt one of the most chilling experiences that Ive experienced in the food service industry. To start us off, if youre looking for quality service, youre better off somewhere else. Subpar would be a compliment. Quality of food, was a disaster. I was shocked when I tasted what was served to me. I had ordered a selection of nigiri only to be met with tuly and utterly disgusting cuts. Pretty sure they were spoiled. Overall horrible experience. Will not ever be back!
THEY STEAL!!!! My sister and I went there. I was in town visiting. She had never been wanted to try it out. Huge mistake. The place was not that busy we got a table and the waitress came over, in a bad mood and ask if we knew what we wanted, a few minutes after we sat down. I just put in my drink order and so did my sister. We then asked for a few more minutes. When she can back, a few minutes later with our beer and saki, no water yet(which we asked for). She asked if we were ready to order. We ordered. The food came it was not exactly what we asked for, we informed the waitress she at first said “no that’s not what you asked for!” SHE NEVER WROTE DOWN OUR ORDER! She took back the wrong item and eventually brought us the right thing. It tasted awful. So we let them know that. When we got the bill the item that was no good had been removed she informed us, very nice of them. However on the bill was a salad my sister order she never received. Also while all this was going on we had to ask a few more times for our waters. Needless to say we did not leave a big tip. The next day my sister checked her bank statement. THE SERVER CHARGED MY SISTER’s CARD WITH A 20% TIP!!!! Long story long. They steal!!! Don’t go here!
If you are looking for great service and good sushi in Chicago do not go here. Was in town to visit my sister and this was a giant dining mistake. Service was terrible, lied to us about fish being fresh and they wrote in the gratuity line after we left on my sisters credit card... yep they decided to change their tip.Skip this place!
Our server was kind and knowledgeable and made sure to accommodate my gluten allergy. But, because the place isn’t geared toward gluten free sushi, the food was a bit meh. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Great prices though before 6pm!
They were really busy for a Monday but I still had a reservation. Yet it took over an hour to receive our food, and when we did receive our maki rolls, they were room temperature warm and just didnt sit well with my stomach after.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Stopped in for happy hour and we waited a HOUR and left UNHAPPY. Drinks didn’t come to our for well over 45 minutes. After waiting 1.5 hours we didn’t receive our food. When we inquired about it they had NO IDEA what we ordered. I would give it ZERO stars if it was an option. Noted: the table whom came in after us received food before we did. I’m not going to say what race we are in comparison to them 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
My favorite sushi restaurant in the entire city. Its easily accessible, there is normally not too long of a wait, and the food is very good. Highly recommend the pork belly chips and the yoko maki. Their Snow White cocktail instantly takes me back to my childhood and I always get it.
I had the chefs choice lunch plate. It came with miso soup. I also got one of the skewers. Everything was great. The sushi was fresh. The skewer was perfectly cooked. The staff was nice and let me sit at a four sit table by the window even though I was by myself. Its right at Lincoln Square if its not rainy, sitting outside would be cool.
Wide variety of sushi rolls all rolled very well. The quality of the ingredients is great - makes for tasty rolls.Half price sushi before 6pm is an excellent choice for an early dinner before a show.
This is my favorite sushi place in chicago! Not only do they have HH till 6pm!!! They also allow dogs on their patio. We also had the amazing opportunity to meet the owner…plus he made us our drinks!Highly recommend…Samurai MartiniAlbacore NigiriLave roll
Good sushi & great outdoor seating. The Flaming Dragon Maki is definitely the way to go! The shooters are unique & flavorful as well. The service was good despite the restaurant being busy. The only thing to be aware of is that the pollen can get pretty heavy on the outdoor seating.
Today, my wife and I took our son to get some sushi. We live in the neighborhood and so I decided to ride my bike and meet them at Miku. Were first time customers. Walked in and the place was about 70% full, sat at the "bar" area where the food is made. After 15-20 minutes of sitting, no waiter, waitress, not even water was brought, NOTHING!! We were completely ingored so we got up left the place!! HORRIBLE first impression especially as African- American customers. Rolls N Bowls across the street has EXCELLENT service and the food is great!
Their 1/2 price sushi til 6pm is the best sushi deal in chicago. Been coming here for years! Get it !
Hands down great sushi, place can get a bit noisy but has outdoor option, servers can be hit or miss. Fun crowd. Yelp page says no corkage fee but they do charge one.
These are my $6 noodles. Sushi was not that great either. Overall, not a great experience with take-out
The fixed a mistake quickly and courteously on our togo order. They also have great food and options for any diet. Get the shrimp! Get the beef wrapped asparagus and youll be happy with anyone of their yummy rolls!
Excellent place to eat. Sushi was very fresh. Service was good. What more can you ask for? Will be back for sure.
I’ve been going to Miku for years, but I wasn’t able to visit during the pandemic. This was my first time back and Miku did not disappoint! My boyfriend tried a bunch of small hot plates, all were delicious. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen (yum!!!and Smokey Bear Roll (mmm!!!). All the food was tasty and tender. Sushi was fresh. Their Tonkotsu broth is still some of the best I’ve ever tasted and it was top tier last night. Parking is a little tight in the area, but there is a lot across the street we usually use when we come visit. Highly recommend!!
Calling All "Ramen-Heads" this sushi house has a must try Spicy Garlic Miso Ramen with deep delicious flavors!
This place is so good and the lunchtime specials can’t be beat. The Godzilla was amazing.
Really tasty, fresh fish, and good ambiance. We had 3 signature makis and the best one were the Flaming and Fiesta. Friendly staff, check out the happy hour specials.
Stopped here for lunch and the sushi was ok. Had a drink and it was very strong and taste like syrup. This place was not bad but it wasnt great.
Delicious & super-fresh sushi! Loved the Veggie Godzilla & Dragon maki, plus the Shrimp Shumai appetizer. If you arrive early enough for the half-price happy hour, remember to tip generously! :‐)
Cutest waitress. BEST FOOD. Literally order the bacon wrapped scallions and beef negima(I think?? Lolunder hot plates and we ordered for appetizers and then got ANOTHER round cause they were insane. I got the lava makin which was BANGIN. And my bf got the king maki (I did not like but he did. DONT LISTEN TO THESE OTHER PEOPLES BAD REVIEWS. I worked at a restaurant for 6+ years and everything about this place is great .
The sushi was simply amazing, I will definitely be coming back. If you arrive before 6 you can get makis for half the price, the ones included in this deal were the ones I tried and they are really good.
My favorite sushi place in Chicago. The sushi combinations are so good. You cant go wrong with anything that you pick. They have half price sushi menu until 6pm which I love because it means I get to pig out on more sushi. The staff is super attentive and so friendly. They do have dividers up in between tables as well as other safety precautions. Highly recommend this place.
Enjoyed my meal here. The happy hour special was especially worth the value. I really enjoyed the alligator skewer and the Ebi Tango roll. The Robasutu roll was unique but not especially flavorful, mostly just filling. Service was a bit slow. I probably would continue to go if I lived in the area, but otherwise it isnt worth the trip if you live more downtown.
I have never had a bad experience here. Their sushi, atmosphere, staff, service, and specials are all great. I love coming here for 50% off maki rolls before 6pm. They also have lunch special deals as well. Their ramen is good too.
Miku Sushi was a good sushi restaurant with high quality fish in unique preparations. The sushi was reasonably priced and the cocktail list was fun.
In a grown ups restaurant that used to be called Tank is a "replacement" called Miku. Looked great from the street, had a "happy hour" with what looked like OK martinis.... $6, but at a little after 5 the restaurant filled quickly with families and single parents with fairly young children. And the volume went up high enough that the servers can read your lips. The Miso was avg to below avg.... But the huge disappointment was the beef nigiri. The only redeeming thing was a large expensive roll salmon and avocado minus the spicy oil and spicy Mayo and no unagi..... Yuck. The tempura crunch on it was good, but it was no Suntory from the old days. It felt like a neighborhood joint/day care/ lets teach Johnny and Jill about sushi. It also felt like wannabe yuppies from the 80s....a Volvo (leasedstation wagon in the parking lot across the street finished a sad tableau. . The black Tobiko was avg. And they didnt have Uni although it was on the menu but not updated for the nite. The table next to me ordered the ramen bowl which a couple split and it "looked" like the menu winner. The house salad was 1/2 step above McDs. And the "creamy dressing" was grainy. Once it got busy the staff became less attentive. And I didnt see free orange slices or high decoration from the chefs. For now will stick with BlueFin In Park Ridge. The waitress should have noticed my disappointment in the beef and taken it off the tab. And I was a bit too tired to "school them". NOT WORTH A 2ND TRIP.
One of the best spots for sushi/sushi happy hour in Lincoln Square. Lots of speciality rolls are half priced along with martinis! Their lunch specials are a really good deal too.
Comfy dining area with a great selection of sushi. They actually sell alligator here. They also have skewers of some of their stuff. Go before 6pm and a number of rolls are half off.
