Relaxing grill with rock gardens & reflecting pools known for sushi, teppanyaki & sake selection.
Good food! But, slow service and expensive.
Got here at 7pm, they didn’t take our order or even serve us water until 7:54. Horrible customer service! And portions are tiny for the price! Should be more professional for such an expensive place! Not as nice as it looks at all!
Sushi was meh. Expensive.
My food was delicious, And the chef Was kind. Emma a very kind server also helped me with putting my food in a box. Five star review!
Traditional hibachi steakhouse. Service was great our chef was hilarious and extremely talented. Watched him spin an egg the flip it on his spatula and have it land on the edge of the spatula to crack it open. Clearly a great dining experience. Found the price a little high for the quantity of food but I guess you are paying for the experience as well. Food was cooked perfectly as asked. Water needs a filter, but thats just Florida water in general.
Excellent service, food was outstanding! Make reservations through the QR code to ensure seating.
So awesome, took great care of our giant party, superb food and service!
Service: 5 starsIngredients: 5 starsPerformance: 4 starCooking: 3 starsGOAT: Veggie & Shrimp Tempura. The outside coat of food is crispy and the inside part still juicy.Drinks are refilled and table is cleaned on time. Ingredients are fresh. The food was slightly overcooked. This includes vegetables and shrimp. The fire show is cool though.
Staff 5/5Bar Drinks 4/5Food Quality 5/5Entertainment 4/5Value 5/5Food Quality:We ordered Sushi, Steak and Chicken, fried rice and vegetables. All the food was high quality and cooked on a habachi table in front of guests. The food was very good, salad and miso soup made in house and chef very interactive with the guests.Bar Drinks:The drinks were professionally crafted with the right balance of alcohol and mixer. They have a machine to make their own soda water which takes the drink to the next level.Only draw back is party size. The tables can hold about 8-10 people however smaller groups will be sat with others while larger groups separately.
Staff was very nice & quick. The chef was a lot of fun, joking and adding flare to his cooking. The lobster & filet were melt in the mouth delicious.
My husband got here at 550pm. Asked how long the wait was for party of 4. He told my husband they open at 6 and can seat our family then. So we pull our kids out of the car, walk upstairs to the restaurant only to be told if you dont bave reservations you can try back after 8pm! would not recommendGet it together!
Food was bland. Not worth it.
Hibachi is one of my favorite meals and Ive been to many Japanese steakhouses, however Mikado is my favorite of them all. First off, such a great setting. I love walking through the hotel and reaching Mikado. The entrance is outdoors that overlooks the magnificent pool below. The mood and atmosphere are very inviting. We were seated immediately and our waiter was very nice. The chef put on the best hibachi show that I have ever seen and the steak and salmon were cooked perfectly. Now its just a matter of when I can make it back to Mikado!
Amazing restaurant on an even more beautiful resort. They were very accommodating for the vegans and allergies in the family. Much appreciated
My favorite restaurant in the Marriott World Center. It’s hibachi style. Our chef was funny and did a great job of cooking our food. If you are hungry I suggest getting the 3 meat speciality.
Called 5 times and no one answered! We normally spend $200-$250 every time me go out with our part of four. No one wants to answer phone. Wow.
Great show, amazing atmosphere! Sitting with a strange people, looking your master making great food. It is delicious and fun. Great for going in groups. I’ve been there for my birthday, it was awesome, all of them were singing to me “happy birthday”, they made me a hat, and brought me handmade “cake” with a candle in it. Thank you!
I tried their $50 lunch buffet during a conference. It was a few steps down from Panda Express. Some of the worst food in recent memory.
Toshio and Emmanuel took great care of us! The service and food were amazing! I really enjoyed the fried noodles and filet mignon.
It was good food but just not good enough for the price.Fun experience though at the hibachi.
Definitely enjoyed myself! Great show, wonderful food! You get a lot here! And great quality too! Couldnt finish but at least I had lunch the next day too.
Just dont do it! While a guest at the hotel we tried this place. It is so overpriced for the taste of food. Again, just dont do it!
Excellent. Like always when we visit Marriott World Center. We always have dinner here. Thank you
The restaurant was excellent and food and atmosphere wonderful. My only negative was the restaurant was hard to find because it was extremely difficult to navigate the resort roadways. Parking was another issue because we were visiting with other guests at the resort. We understand these are not restaurant issues but they impacted our experience. If you are visit leave ample time to get lost a few times before you arrive at the restaurant.
Good food the only criticism is when you are traveling with a senior it would be better if they could have a childrens meal
I wouldn’t recomend this restaurant. Food was ok, but considering the cost it should have been great. I have had much better food for half the price. My daughter wanted noodles and chicken. The chicken was worth eating, the noodles were over cooked, almost fried and gross. Make sure you look at your receipt closely before paying.
The food is average and the service was bad, it’s overpriced for what it offers. We were stuck in the hotel and decided to eat here. If you have transportation and can avoid it, I suggest you do so. Our server was unprofessional and turned the whole thing to an unpleasant experience.
Great staff. I enjoyed the sushi bar.
This was supposed to be a treat place for my wife and I to have a nice dinner in an out of the way sort of place. t certainly is out of the way. We had a tough time finding it, and getting there, but we made it. The place is hibachi style cooking. We settled in around a table with 7 other people. The chef was pretty nice and did not have to do the useless typical egg gymnastics of KOBE to impress us. It was a nice flow of events, watched the cooking part with interest, while plates were being prepared and filled. The food was pretty descent, although I would have loved the quantity to be a nit more, as I went vegetarian that night. The people on our table loved the idea that I did not eat the shrimp and gave it to them. But it was a nice night out, with nice ambiance and nice service and good food.
What a show! This place was great. The food was delicious and the cooks were entertaining. The portions were nicely sized and the cost was not higher than the average Japanese Steakhouse. The hotel is set up so that the entrance to Mikado is pleasant and easier to find than the rooms! Also has a nice view of the laser light show at 9pm.
PSA do not go to this steakhouse if you are looking to share a plate in order to save money. This place way overpriced. Portion sizes here are not like normal steakhouses when it comes to the rice. The food tasted good and the service was good, just highly don’t recommend even if for the convenience of the steakhouse being at the hotel.
We walked in late. We knew we were walking in late and we were extremely respectful. We inquired with the hostess if they were still serving sushi. She said yes so we proceeded to the sushi bar where we were met with a hostile server with a horrific attitude. We asked if we could quickly order some sushi rolls and after grunting and making several comments she said yes. The then made several more comments. Let me say there were still several large groups still ordering and being served. It wasnt as if we were the last ones in the restaurant. We decided to leave due to the servers comments and we went to the sports bar High Velocity.Go to High Velocity. It was delicious!
Food is good and prepared table side. You sit with other people on the table if you have only few in your group
Meh. It was ok. Very smoky inside. Clothes stinks after eating there. And the food was average. $26 for a fried rice and salad. Tasted good but not impressed.
I had sushi and was not thrilled with it..but the grill items looked like they were much better. This is one of those restaurants where the chef grill in front of you and i entertain you with tricky moves.
The best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. I promise you will not leave here hungry nor disappointed the food is fabulous! I would most definitely come again.
Ive been to other fantastic Japanese stakehouses. But this one has its own surprises. #1- Apparently they wanted to get rid of their ginger seasoning so we were all served a salad with that stuff. #2- We had to pay for 2 extra ginger salads that we didnt order. #3- They dont disclose upfront that its their policy to charge 20% gratuity for "parties of 7 or more" although we were there for a family dinner. Its a line item in your bill so you dont get to choose how much you want to tip. Once you pay you get a red stamp that disclose you were just robbed 20%.
My experience at Mikado was absolutely phenomenal. I came right before close and they took me in place of closing the store which was absolutely astounding. Everything was absolutely perfect. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were the best I’ve ever had, the rice had so much flavor. Overall I’d recommend this to absolutely everyone.
Delicious! Had the prawns and steak, which was really tender and juicy. Fun show and great wth a large group.
Sushi not the best, service great, chef was not add engaged as some we could see.
Food and service were great. Very generous portions!
Wow tasty food great service. Wish we had this restaurant at home .the food was fresh and our server Julie was very accommodating. Very nice .
Biggest gripe with this place was it was really hard to find and Marriott didnt do any favors. Restaurant and food were ok. Service was good. Chef was great.
Excellent Sushi & service everytime!! Last year we were lucky to have beautiful weather and enjoyed our Sushi out on the deck overlooking the beautiful pool area!
This is a very good restaurant very good service and good food probably the best place Ive been the cook I had was named Toshio and he was great he was funny and very amusing I would recommend having him
We eat here every year when we come to Orlando the food is always amazing and fresh and the service is great. My only complaint is you dont have the entertainment from your chefs here as you do at other hibachi restaurants.
Every time I go to Orlando I always come here for Tepenyaki. The sushi is fresh and tasty and the service is awesome!
We stopped in for a light dinner at the sushi bar. The Lobster tempura was awesome. The ahi sashimi was the bes Ive had ever. We even had the bartender give us a taste of her own drink - Buddha ? - and it was the perfect end to the meal.
Nice place, a little crowded. The sushi is very nice and not expensive at all. I also had some cooked scallops, shrimps and lobster with fried rice and vegetables that was excellent. The cook comes to cook your dinner on a hot slab in front of you and makes a little cooking show. There is only bottled beer, no draught.
I love Teppan Yaki and this was a fun place to go during my stay in Orlando. I created the request for a shrimp and scallop combo. The fried rice was fresh and delicious.
