All-you-can-eat Brazilian rodizio with an array of meats cut tableside, salad station & bar area.
Good food, fresh cooked meat with a nice amount of options. Theres a Buffett for most appetizers and vegetables. They have a wonderful service and live music too. I came here multiple times and not one complaint. Highly recommend to those who love to eat. They also got wide choice of alcoholic beverages and deserts
This is one of my favorite places to grab a meal that feels like something made at home. I really love their grilled meats. The staff also offer great service.
Food was AMAZING but best part of all was the service super attent and very friendly ! Highly recommend. Great dessert& drinks.
The Good: All you can eat buffet. Good food. Wait staff and servers are very friendly. Live music was playing when I visited. Desserts were great. The Bad: Sodas ($3 perare not refillable and desserts ($6 perare not part of the buffet. None of this were disclosed. The Ugly: The restaurant puts an automatic 20% gratuity on the bill. While I normally would go back, I wont. Be aware of all this if you decide to visit.
The food was good. They have a good selection of roasted meat. The grilled pineapple was really good. The staff was also very friendly and sang their hearts out for someone who was celebrating their birthday 3 tables away. They also have a live band which played good music and made the evening very enjoyable.
Great food but service slow for a construction lunch crew. Its all you can eat with or without meats. Took over 1 hr. For 6, and we sat at the bar . The 4 stars are for the food. If yall got the time please stop in, it is worth it. .
Service was really good but food was ok.
Nice enough service, went during lunch hours buffet was open. The food wasnt anything special making it worse by having my milk have an awful after taste and smell. Dry meat but not the worst ive ever had so the service and location saved this a poor #1 rating.
A bit pricey I thought. It was very unclear that the all u can eat buffet with meats is 27 dollars. The way I read the menu was all u can eat 17 n change. Thats without meat, like huh? Aside from that food was decent and service was good to great.
I absolutely love it here. The portion sizes are enormous because it is all you can eat. They come around to your table with meat on big rods and cut off the meat onto your plate. Plus they have a HUGE hot and cold bar with enough food to stuff you. This is one of my alltime favorites because the food is great and the staff are great and the ambiance is great!
THE WORST SERVICE AND FOOD.. Took my husband tonight for dinner..Salad bar was good. The food they walk around with was horrible..Lets see after sitting and waiting 20 minutes for someone to walk by with something, finally dried out chicken wrapped in bacon, terrible, steak raw, lamb raw and pineapple hard and cold... waiters walked by once with food always on the other side of room.. after we finished eating and waiting forever for our waiter for bill saw them walk around with rolls..Gee would of liked one of those at beginning of meal. Waiter brings bill and after 20 minutes had to ask hostess to get waiter so could pay the bill. I will say hostess did stop by and ask how everything was and I started to tell her and she said I will be right back and never did..When waiter finally came back never even asked how everything was.. 56.00 for a salad and terrible food..Never again...
Was not happy with this place. Besides the meats being over cooked and dry, my biggest complaint is that the man that we saw with the dish washing apron on came out of the restroom with both his dish washing apron and his cooking apron still on. I was disgusted because he had been leaning “clean” plates against himself every time he brought them out. We immediately packed up and left. I brought it to the attention of the hostess and she made up some excuse and insisted she would tell her manager but it didn’t seem reassuring. You should never wear your apron into the restroom. Horrible. Our Father’s Day supper was ruined.
I used to love this place went there the other night the food was awful and the service sucked. I kept having to find my waiter to pay my bill as he kept walking away from me. Needless to say it was the first time I ate out and did not leave a tip. After all the years going there I’m done NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!
The second time i went there it was not to good. The meat was over cooked and seemed a little old. With 4 or more people the tip is included in the bill. This means the service is bad because they do not have to work for the tip.Disapointing i thought i had a new place to go to.To expensive.
Meat was over cooked. Not tender at all. I expected better. I was disappointed with the greasy food and they refused to split the bill and take our Groupon. The service was good however and someone kept coming by with a lot of meat. Ive been to better rodizios.
We loved the original restaurant in Cambridge and have been going since 1994. It was really good, to eat there or even for take out! We went to the Saugus location ten years ago, and it was good too. However it has changed for worse. We went there sunday night with my family. The meat was old and cold. The food was cold. Not worth the price at all. $144 for four people is WAY too much for food that was this bad. I will never come again and strongly recommend no one else does either. Today there’s many Brazilian restaurants with cheaper prices and much better quality.
Excellent place to eat Rodizio. Nice salad bar. Wonderful attention. Bom lugar para comer churrasco.
Horrible! Horrible!Meat had to be warmed up to put on my plate because I wasn’t paying rodizio. They did not serve bread, pao de queijo, or fruits. When we complained that the meat wasn’t fresh, the owner gave us a huge attitude and was borderline unprofessional. The place was super cold. They did not turn on the heater.
The food is very good service is good attentive. My waiters name was Wilson he was very knowledgeable of the menu attentive gave us suggestions on drinks that were quite good, had flan which was delicious done right my friend had the other desert mango mousse
Delicious food, great service, buffet had a ton of options and more passed meats than most places. Cant wait to come back and try everything I missed!
It was alright and all but the problem is that they constantly skip some people until you complain. Also would recommend the smoked pineapple. It is very juicy. Also the day I came in a staff member broke a plate. XD.
We have been going there for years for my sons birthday and the food was always good. Nice buffet. I had to give three stars because the last 2 years the meat server is the same gentleman and they try to fill you with well done cute of chicken and sausage before they bring out the sirloin and lamb which was always delicious. I requested several times for medium rare and he refused to bring anything close. It was very disappointing. They also served grilled pineapple which is amazing but this year they serve red the core which was tough and dry. I tried very hard to be patient with them but it was relatively busy and there is no excuse for tough dry meat in my book. They even tried to charge me an extra $30 for mixed drinks that we did not order. They have lost a +10 year customer in me. Not worth the $200 bill for 2 adults and 3 kids.
I passed this place so many times and never went in. Friday night i was starving and couldnt find anything I liked on google or yelp, then I remembered this place and looked it up.The food is delicious, and the service is good and quick. I did the shrimp moqueca + buffet.I do believe that you can get by on just the buffet though. You also have the option of paying by the pound. This will be my new go to spot for a quick meal
Midwest is hit or miss on the Rodizio. It is not bad but neither is it great. Their selections are fairly typical. As is the case with most buffet type preparation, it is always much better either right at the beginning of service or when they are packed so the food is fresher and less likely to be dry or overcooked. When you catch them on a good night however, it can be excellent. Their wings however are some of the most delicious wings Ive ever had. We often go and just sit at the bar and drink excellent Brazilian beer and eat only their wings. There are few places at which I enjoy the buffalo sauce as much, but their traditional garlic style is also a winner. I also like their cinnamon roasted pineapple enough that I could eat a whole pineapple.
I showed up with a party of 19 was supposed to be 15, they quickly accommodated. The wait staff were excellent in trying to keep up with the meat demand. Food was great! Meat was nice and juicy, plenty in the hot/cold bar. Overall they did a great job keeping up meat supply as well as maintaining separate checks for all. Lol
Great food, the men waiters are kind of slow. They are older men. I wish there were ladies working that night.... At least one. The entertainment was nice. If you come in a large group. They dont split bills, which is bad on their part. They need to update their system. Overall it was a good experience. I would come back only with my husband or a party of 5 the max. I would recommend this place to others.
Not my favorite. Expensive but all you can eat. Meat was dry, except for the keilbasi...and the lamb (which I declined). Service was good. $25pp dinner. Wouldnt go back.
We ate here because we got a Groupon and were staying next door but the food was really tasty and freshly cooked, the servers friendly and helpful, the buffet selection varied and plentiful. Left feeling completely stuffed so would definitely return as we felt it was value for money even without the Groupon!
Nice spacous restaurant, the food was pretty good. It took the hostess a long time to bring out the meats. He had alo of beef. Never brought any chicken to the table.
So disappointed. Went there tonight with friends and the meal was terrible. Only 5 choices of meat all of which were dry and over cooked and they were so slow bringing the meat to us. We wont be returning to midwest grill instead we will drive to Somerville and go to olivieras instead.
Been here a few times , they are very short staffed and the wait between the one and only server for the whole dinning room was not acceptable. Although the meat was good it was also cold by the time he finally got to your table
Food is ok. Meats are not characteristic of oversalted Brazilian food, oddly, and could use more salt or brining. Service was good to start off since we were 1 of 3 tables there, but it took 15 minutes to get the check after we asked for it, and by that time we were the only table left. Definitely dont recommend this place over other Brazilian restaurants in the area, but its not terrible if its your only choice.
One if the best churrascarias I have been too for the variety of sides: fresh collard greens, beef stew, bacalau, black beans, ... but no yucca dish. For the meat, it was good: tenderloin (rare or medium well), bacon wrapped chicken, pork, kielbasa, chicken hearts, lamb. Warning: desserts are not included in the $25 dinner buffet. I asked if they were "unlimited" and ordered the creme brulee, which I barely touched (it was a soft sweet custard and the caramel wasnt hard). She never came back for to give me a second. I am glad she didnt when I saw the bill!
The place very clean, food really bring the good memories of my children hood, we feeling like in Brazil with fresh friends air.I will come back with friends for a good time. Thanks for your host and hospitality. We have fun!!!ThanksMarcelo Rocha
Fantastic food, casual to business casual atmosphere, no need to dress up, only slightly loud, but music usually adds an air of privacy. If you go, you absolutely HAVE to try the Rodizio. All-you-can-eat slabs of meat (and pineapple), served directly to your plate.
Entered with an appetite and still left hungry. I was far from done eating but they seemed to decide I had enough and stopped brining meat over. Then they brought the grilled pineapple which I assume was the dessert. Meat selection was poor and very over cooked. Buffet and salad bar were mediocre at best. Everyone I went with was disappointed. Will not be going back.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. 2 stars because the buffet is actually good. Service is beyond awful, received my glass of water 5 minutes before the bill (despite having asking for it 3 times). Their Barbecue is awful... I have the impression that the person that is trying to do it has no clue of what a Brazilian Barbecue looks like/tastes like. Poor variety of meat, poor seasoning of meat and I wonder if they have a grill at all. Live music was ok. The place is too dark.
This is a great place to spend either with a group of friends or with yourself. Live music great Sax and Singer. I spent a great time with my daughter while Wilson was taking care of us with exceptional service.
Mediocre food at best... Ill only eat the beef ribs when they are not overcooked and burnt or rubbery. Save yourself the money and go to Oliveras for better quality and lower price. The highlight for me is the garlic bread and pineapple. Dessert and drinks do not come with overpriced meal but they ask you in such a way that youd think it does... seemed deceptive. No free refills, so drink water ;)
If I could give this place a 0 I would. Service was horrible. Our waitress never once came to see how everything was, forgot my water twice. There variety of food is poor, the food was old and stale. Not to mention the place was empty. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!!!
The people slicing the meat should be servers, and the wait staff should be cutting meat. The service was lacking the minute we walked in. We must have waited for at least 2 minutes for someone to show us to our seats or to even say hello. The food was ok. They couldve seasoned the meat a little more.
Good location. Food can be improved. During 2 hours or dinner time, they walk with 5 or 6 different meats just couple of times. Compare other Brazilian restaurants that provides tons of meat Midwest Grill just poor fast food.
The Midwest Grill is money well spent.Ive been here twice and each time, it has been a wonderful and very delicious experience overall. The food is great and very plentiful. The staff is very attentive and bring around a broad array of meats on constant rotation. The salad bar is always fresh and rice dishes are very flavorful. There was one dish containing fried fish that was a little too dry for my tastes, but in all honesty people really come for the beef, lamb, chicken and sausage. And it is all wonderful. I mentioned money at the beginning -- Before you assume that it is too pricey to eat here, my friend and I dined here for lunch and it was no more expensive than the Fuddruckers next door.Give it a try.
1/2 the meat they brought to the table was not edible as it was too tough or overcooked. The rice from the buffet was old and a hardened yellow block of stale rice. There were about 40 people there and only a few waiters bringing meat around to the tables. In the ½ hour I was there I could hardly get them to deliver the items I wanted which are included in the $22.00 all you can eat. This is the “Golden Coral’ of Brazilian BBQ and although I have heard this place was good I will never go back.
Got scammed with a groupon. Theyll get you with an 18 or 20 % tips included in your check when the only thing the waiter does is bringing the soft drinks out since its a buffet. I do hope they share with the people cutting the meats. Only thing i liked was the fried sweet plantain, thats about it. When you walk up to the buffet, it is a mess some of the trays were empty. Stay away from ordering cocktails, i ordered a piña colada and tasted like a vanilla milkshake. I would NOT go back there again neither would i recommend this to my friends.
Ive been eating at different Brazilian restaurants all around Massachusetts for quite a while. This one was a disappointment. My waitress was really nice, and the young man who kept bringing different meats on a skewer to my table was awesome, The other guy, not so awesome. Overall the food was overpriced, buffet was lousy, and the restaurant was too cold. Even though the pork was delicious and I didnt leave hungry. I dont think I will be back to this place. Ive had much better Brazilian food at restaurants that did not serve you meats at your table while you sit.
I spotted this restaurant while driving northbound on Route 1 on a summer Friday at noon. Upon entering, I was surprised to see that only two tables were occupied with patrons out of dozens in the main dining section. Oh-oh. I decided to brave it anyway and try the lunch buffet without the rodizio for $11.95 (I hadnt been impressed by the rodizio at their Cambridge location). The food was awful. The selection consisted of a lettuce-based salad on one side of the buffet bar, while the other side consisted of greasy refried leftovers, a stew, and starches (cassava, plantains, rice). For the price, I would have expected the quality and selection of the food to be much higher. There is no reason for me to recommend that anyone come here for the food at the buffet.
Literally. The worst dine in experience we ever had in Massachusetts! We went for lunch, and after being seated, we had to wait more than 10-15 minutes in between each serving of the meats, even tho the restaurant had only two tables occupied. The waiter was was the most rude waiter in the universe! When I asked to see the manager (who then refused to talk to us!), the waiter said that the manager is the owner, and that I should ask the manager to fire him!I will never go back there. I am sorry I did not believe the other one star ratings that this place have accomplish to get.
I am a huge fan of Brazillian BBQ. This is one of the best around and it is close by. there is almost a never ending stream of deliciousness coming at you constantly it is quite awesome. my favorite is the chicken hearts and frog legs.. excellent value if you get the buffet.. Enjoy
Best brazillain BBQ i ever had. i come here once a week. the rodizio is cooked to perfection, the chicken is fall off the bone good and they keep it coming. beautiful salad bar/ buffet. 5 stars out of 5.
