Midway Motel in Brandon

I have stayed here before, clean room, I would stay here again.

I stayed there from March 2022 to May 2022. If all you want is an inexpensive room to sleep at night, this is an OK option. If youre a high maintenance personality, better look elsewhere. Its cheap. You get what you pay for. Overall, I was satisfied and no complaints.

I was surprise at the cleanliness of this place. The only thing is that they should at least provide some coffee in the rooms because their kitchen is still close due to the pandemic. Good prices.

Fantastic setting and just minutes from the highway.The desk service was quick and easy, only took 5-10 mins to get the key and be on my way to a very clean room and a hot shower with the most wonderful water pressure.

Clean and affordable. Bed was comfortable. Friendly.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT NOT RETURNED A Rude worker accused us of smoking in the room and said we used spray to cover the smoke smell.We are nonsmokers.All we used was shampoo & conditioner in the morning.The very rude man behind the desk would not give us our receipt for our damage deposit or for the money we did pay for the room. He was very unprofessional,rude and wouldnt give us his name. My sister was supposed to go to a medical appointment but did not make it because we were trying to get our damage deposit back so we could have money for gas to go home We are OLDER ladies that live on disability. We were Treated with such disrespect. We will never stay there again. Treat older Aboriginal women with an Abusive Manner. He said he would send the damage deposit in the mail but we will see and I Think not . Dont use shampoo. Or conditioner or YOU wont get your damage deposit..

The motel is spotless, quiet and with excellent services, and very accommodating when requesting services such as extra towels and clean sheets. The motel is very private with your own entrance in and out which is very convenient if you like your own space. Thank you, Midway Motel, for your services.

Nice people are working hard to run a good motel

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. My beefs were that the heat was noisy, the room didnt have coffee .

The guy was totally rude, wont negotiation with us AT ALL, AND WE DIDNT EVEN GET TO STAY THERE. Since its no refunds, he is STILL gonna charge us the 78 bucks for the room. I would totally would put negative stars if I can, -5/10, DONT RECOMMEND

No option for negative stars! Went to get deposit back man at the counter said room stunk all we used for shower stuff and accused us is smoking in the room and demanded I pay another $300 fine after he refused to give deposit back he wanted almost $600 for a 1 nite stay! Id love to see the owner investigated and charged glad I didnt leave a credit card 0 customer service and escalated to an almost altercation will NEVER AGAIN even look at staying there what a joke

Surprisingly adequate, for the price!Only real complaint is the heating in the room is uneven so it took a long time to equalize, and theres not much they can do about that!

Great little spot super clean, comfy beds and nice sheets. Plus its pet friendly

We spent one night at the Midway Motel.We got a very clean and pleasant room. Everything was working very well.We forgot a small luggage. The owner is a very honest person and immediately notified us and sent it to our home address in BC.We recommend this Motel and we appreciate very much his honesty.Patricia & Jan.

Definitely older but for the price and just off the highway, it was a great place to stay! It also had an air conditioner (which you needed to stand on the bed to use).

Worst motel experience in my life. The front desk clerk barely spoke to me, left partway through check-in (she did return), several creepy men out front, room had a connecting door that I could not lock ... I was so worried about personal safety that I left and went to the Clarion. If you are travelling solo, dont stay there.

Called a day in advance to book a room. Went to check in and was told no rooms where available even tho I made reservations. Don’t waste your time with this hotel.

Reserved a Queen Room then I find out its only a double bed. How can you call it a Queen room with a double bed? Try to phone the hotel directly and get voice mail over a couple hours. Leave a message but I get no reply. To cancel the reservation cost me but I still cancelled. Went through Expedia for the first time and I will never use it again to book a room. Whole experience was a joke.

The room was large and clean, adequate facilities and good service,The price was reasonable and fair،The view was beautiful outside and had a nice flower garden،Parking was available near the rooms،Overall, it was satisfying for me.

Stayed there May 22nd its clean, affordable and quiet. The room I stayed in looked like it was a brand new hotel room. It serves a small continental breakfast but at their price thats a bonus. I left some soda and water in the fridge you can have it. Stay here.

I spent one night more than 10 days ago and I haven’t yet got my security deposit. I had to remind them to return my money! The motel owners should only hold the security amount and not deduct it from my card. I’m still waiting!!!

I have stayed here multiple times with my fiancé. Among the many reason we choose to come back are because the staff are very accommodating, and kind. the rooms are clean, bright and warm. We had a great night sleep.Thank you for all your help!

Very clean, simple decor, fantastic bed. Owners accomodating to our specific needs. Under covid conditions some services not in place and areas closed..no ice & breakfast etc.

Called to see if any rooms were available, and made an unofficial reservation over the phone. Showed up literally 25 minutes later, the guy went to talk to his wife, she peaked out, and then he came back and I was told there were no rooms available. It is a Tuesday afternoon in Brandon, Manitoba, during Covid, and there was 1 car in the parking lot. I told him I just called 30 minutes ago, and was given the same response. Go somewhere else, there are plenty of nicer, more affordable, lodging in Brandon.

My bf and I made a reso at this hotel (they said they were dog friendly). But after we booked our room we got an email saying dogs arent actually allowed in the hotel and they only said they accept dogs so we wouldnt leave a bad review. They then sent us another email with very misleading info, after our request for a simple yes or no as to whether our dog was allowed to stay or not. THEN the following day they text us with very rude broken English that said we can have regular reso, you want? We again said NO, and they proceeded to double book us for a room - we only knew because we got a confirmation email letting us know the room has been booked. So we had to re-cancel again. Very poor and confusing service. Will definitely never come here or suggest this place for anyone else. - Still unsure if they take dogs or only will take dogs for a good review. Either way its not worth the stress. Find somewhere else!

We called ahead and booked a room. We informed them that there was two adults and an emotional support dog. When we arrived a short time later there wasnt a vehicle in the parking lot and we were worried they were closed. We went in to check in and the lady behind the counter said two adults and when we mentioned the emotional support dog she said they were full up. There wasnt a soul around. I have a documented and trained emotional support dog as a result of PTSD from my service in the military and we were turned away at the door by this establishment. I encourage everyone to boycott this establishment and instead support the Super 8 in Brandon as they welcome vets (Veteran Parkingand their support animals.

The beds were way to soft, and we were charged and extra 3.94 because there was two of us. All hotels are based on double occupancy and when I ran the quote for 1 night with two people it came up $69. Left a bad taste.

So very nice to stay here.My room was quiet and the pillows very comfortable. I wasn’t feeling well, had a migraine and hay fever (BAD COMBINATIONand they don’t seem to use any perfumed air fresheners which was a big blessing for me! The room was very clean and the shower had great water flow. The family that runs Midway are very kind and take very good care of their property.I really like this place. It’s a hidden gem.

Amazing service and affordable pricing! Plus free movie channels! The room was spotless and the pillows were so comfortable I didnt want to get up in the am. There was a little kitchenette and even a firepit area in the back lot. Great little gem just off the trans can!

Nicely surprised with the clean but small rooms. Great continental breakfast . Best value in town. Upgraded rooms are so worth the little extra!

Quiet, clean, very affordable. Fast check-in, decent continental breakfast, fresh ground coffee, sufficient wifi speed even at far end of motel. Would stay here again!

Lifesaver little gem. Basic little Motel, with clean rooms and continental breakfast . Nothing fancy but friendly staff and they let me CHECK-IN early in the morning around 10 am, after driving through the night I was delighted! Will definately stop by again!!

This is a great place to stay on a budget. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They truly treat you like their guest. The rooms and front office and dining have all been renovated and upgraded. The room was very clean. It had a microwave and a small fridge with a freezer. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

The room they gave me was newly renovated. It was clean and well maintained. They were just putting the Wi-Fi in the section I was in so I had to use the lobby Wi-Fi to communicate. The breakfast was "continental" but I would have prefer a desire selections for the $82 I spent to be there one night. They said the movie channels were available but I couldnt find it. Checkout was weird. All the rooms have regular keys and no one was there to take my key so I had to put it behind the counter near the phone. Other people just left the keys in the open on the counter. They should put a Dropbox.

The lady at the front was so welcoming and showed us the room and offered drinks before anything. The room was clean and updated more than what I expected, big tv, nice bed, great bathroom very spacious. I loved the breakfast area, nice coffee, juices, cereals, breakfast bars, croissants, fruits. Very homey. Definitely recommend for those driving far distances like us, and can’t beat the price.

Room was good, updated and clean. Air conditioner filter needed to be cleaned. Location was good and quiet couldnt hear any other guests. One of the better motels I have stayed at.

Great place to stay at! A true hidden gem for folks looking for a cozy place to stay at a reasonable price. Stayed at their premium room and bed was comfortable to sleep in. Free breakfast (fruits, cereal, toast, pastries, and some snackswas a pleasure surprise before a long drive back home

No frill & best bang for the buck. Its not Four Seasons by all means, but great for the price (not everyone can afford $400 rooms!Comfortable and clean room. Was impressed with modest (& freebreakfast offered - great for travellers passing by or out of town visitors. Will come back if/when passing by.

Honestly I was pretty impressed with this little motel. Not only is it one of the cheapest places to stay in Brandon, but they have comfortable and well lit rooms and provide a decent complimentary breakfast in the morning. The breakfasts arent full meals (eggs and bacon that sorta thingbut there is a selection of fruits, cereals, bread (toastand baked goods. They rooms all come complete with a mini fridge, microwave and a large tv.I found they were quick to respond whenever there were issues with the room or elements in the room (at one point my fridge wasnt working so they replaced it within minutes of reporting the issue).The only concerns I have is that the outside door wasnt flush to the ground and a pretty harsh cold kept coming in through the large crack. The other was that there was constant traffic coming and going to and from the motel all night long, and at times it was pretty loud outside... but, really thats more just the motels clientele rather than actual issue with the motel its self.

Clean room, quiet and right off the Trans Canada. Cheaper than lots of other places, too! Friendly staff, took us in at 1 in the morning. Shower was bizarre though, and the rooms electronics were unintentionally really complicated and irritating.

Have stayed here many time - twice a year for about the last 4 years. It used to be just right - rooms were cheap but clean and comfortable, and the motel was quiet. Stayed there just this past weekend and I definitely wont be back. Somebody is running a "service" out of one of the rooms - there were several altercations each night, guys going around banging on doors at all hours of the night letting clients know "times up", taxis coming and going all night, and "ladies" roaming the property day and night. The rate worked out to about $100/night. For that rate, I dont expect luxury but I expect to not be hassled by hookers when I walk my dog early in the morning.

Very affordable, one of the best prices in Brandon Manitoba, no monthly rates. (Which kina sucks if you are between places or looking for a place ). Just of the highway, new renovations being done. Quiet, comfortable, lots of food places close by, smittys, A and W, and the like. I was impressed. Friendly staff. Modest breakfast. Not a bad place to stop in, after a long day on the road.

Great place, bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows.Room was the perfect size and the shower had good pressure.The Continental breakfast was perfect and coffee was good.I did forget my charger in my room. No way to email, so Ill have to call long distance. If I get my charger back, Ill leave another review.

I stayed there a month ago on my way west and was surprised at how large my room was. Huge plus having movie channels and free breakfast. It was only $57.00 a night and had barbecues in the back to use. Im on my way back to Ontario and Ill definitely stay there when I go through.
