All come with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, air-conditioning and kitchenettes, while some have seating areas. Suites add full kitchens and/or whirlpool tubs.Free perks include coffee and parking. There also are on-site laundry facilities.
Great experience. First we got a room with a factory view and it was terrible but when we asked to switch to street view Ceren helped us. She was the nicest person ever, made our vacation much better. The rooftop bar is amazing.
I’m currently staying at the hotel. While it’s a great location, the customer service could be better. Our AC has not been working and our room is uncomfortably warm. We first let the reception desk know this morning at 10:30am and were told maintenance would look at it. We returned to our room and there had been no improvement. We told the reception desk again at 6pm. We were told that they would send maintenance or check if we can move to another room. We checked again at 7:30pm since we hadn’t heard back and were told once again that maintenance would come and look at it. We returned to our room at 11pm and our room was still warm. We were told maintenance looked at it so they would bring a portable AC window unit. The AC unit was finally dropped off a whole 13 hours after our initial complaint and we were expected to set it up ourselves. The AC window unit is loud, doesn’t even fit in the window, and takes up a lot of space in an already small room. The ceiling panel by the room’s AC is also missing so I know the AC hasn’t been working properly, and yet this room is still being rented out. This is completely ridiculous.
BEST HOTEL we’ve ever stayed in! Location is unbeatable and Everyone in the staff was so professional and attentive. Manager Shana Thomas was extremely kind and made our stay superb!
Brilliant hotel! They upgraded us to a suite at no cost thanks to some availability and staff were always on hand and super helpful when we needed anything. The pool and spa area is also wonderfully designed and decorated with a bit of a roman feel, blended with a modern contemporary look throughout the rest of the hotel. Brilliant location for shopping and theatres. Would happily stay again!
This was our third stay at the NYX, yet again it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is exceptional, if you love a funky vibe, really contemporary decor then you will thoroughly enjoy your stay at the NYX. The rooms are really well designed, beds super luxurious and comfortable, often hotels really miss the mark with things like lack of plug sockets, mirrors and good lighting. Not the NYX, everything was spot on in the room. We often ate in the hotel restaurant, the food is great and with the added bonus of a roof top bar. All the staff are accommodating and make you feel very welcome, service levels are excellent. A big thanks to Shona, Joy and Miguel . Finally from me, the location is perfect, ten minute walk to Covent Garden and great access to all public transport links & taxis. We will be back again soon.
Modern and funky hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was on the smaller side but very clean and comfortable. Very safe and central location, close to the metro, buses, supermarket, and many more. We would come back!
Enjoyed my stay. Very welcoming helpful reception, modern decor. Loved the huge room and the design. Great breakfast, and location for Covent Garden visits a 10 min walk. Only gripe Shower flow due to limescale was not the best , could have been better just needed a clean. Great value for money at London prices overall.
Our double room had a small bathroom, you have to sit sideways on the toilet. No large or heated towel rail, meaning either wet bath towels during our stay or eco unfriendly clean towels everyday. No robes in the room but slippers were provided, odd.The TV is not near the bed, meaning sideways viewing at best.Only 1 bedside table and no bedside lamp, toss a coin for who gets a table for their morning cuppa. No waste bin in room, only small bathroom bin.The rooms are not worth the asking price. However the staff are very friendly and the hotel and rooms are very clean.
The room itself was nice but it was one of those weird higher end hotels that think they specialize in pop art and bragged a lot about what amenities they had that had literally nothing to do with your stay. Like their social media page and website brag about the arcade they have and its literally just two arcade games that were both out of order. The bathrooms are weird because theres no shower door and the toilet is really low to the point where you feel like youre crawling on the ground so thats not that pleasant. I guess the staff was nice but they really only interact with you when youre checking in and dont even say so much as a hello or a welcome back or anything when youre coming back into the lobby or leaving it for the day. Basically its just a flashy Hotel trying to be super cool and trendy and thats what youre paying for. The room is mediocre, kind of small and the housekeeping service started knocking on our door at 8:00 a.m. or earlier. They woke us up two days in a row even with the do not disturb sign on the door. All together it seems like we and they put all of the money into the artwork which was pretty cool, and none of the money toward the rooms themselves. Even the hand cream smelled bad. And it didnt sink in which means it is cheap and watery. At like $300 a night you would think that at least the lotion would be nice. Honestly only go here if your boss is paying for it or something. If youre paying for it yourself out of pocket its 100% not worth it and there are cheaper hotels with better locations
The pool is great. The room was quite large but it seems the furniture doesnt quite fit the size. The TV had only 4 channels on it when cable TV is advertised. I rang the front desk several times and they promised to fix it but nothing happened. Stayed there for over a week so this was pretty annoying. Also, no pilates or yoga classes in the gym as advertised on their website.
Rooms lovely, hotel quirky 😁 but what I really didnt like was monies taken off my credit card. It was taken 2 days after we had left and the staff were soooo rude when I asked for money to be returned and laughed when I asked for the duty manager, I asked for a name they wouldnt give me one. They answered the phone with "ello", thought Id rung a private house!! They have returned my money now but I suggested there was a bigger problem with dishonesty amongst staff, read other reviews and you find its not a one off. They tell me they have changed their policy now, we will see. Not what Id expect from a 4* hotel.
Amazing room and the hotel is just a 3 minute walk from Holborn tube station so its super easy to get to. Beautiful pool an breakfast was lovely. We ate out so I dont know what dinner in the Nyx is like but I would highly recommend Punjab Indian restaurant. Its a ten minute walk and is one of the best places Ive found in the city for authentic dining.
Sadly having to leave a bad review before even getting to the hotel. We have been trying to get hold of hotel simply to ask a few questions about the room and it has been a total nightmare. Firstly we got through to what turned out to be central reservations and a very rude man asking 1000 questions about our booking - card details etc - before answering very simple questions. Then he couldn’t even find our booking, OR answer the questions. Then he gave us another number which was supposed to be for hotel reception but was another very unhelpful man somewhere else in the hotel, then he finally gave us another number which nobody answered. Not a 5 star service at all and nothing like the other competing 5 star hotels we’ve stayed at where you can simply call and have your call answered by someone friendly and knowledgable who is also actually in the hotel and can help you. This is meant to be my birthday trip and we aren’t looking forward to the hotel now before we’ve even got there! Terrible service!
Funky Hotel, bro.Great service with a prompt professional manor. The decor is modern with a very contemporary, artistic theme. The rooms and the layout are perfect, very comfortable and the atmosphere is welcoming/homely.The spa/treatments are great and the pool, sauna and steam room are amazing. All round, excellent value for money.
very modern, beautifully styled and in pretty good location. recently the hotel opened a rooftop cocktail bar, with great view. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the only downside is the regular windows (not double layered- most of the street noise is heard very well in the rooms, and the motorcycle traffic starts quite early.
Hello London! This hotel is soooo chic and trendy, I am loving these vibes! The rooms were surprisingly bigger than we expected ~ there are two king beds in here and it is CLEAN!!!When you first enter the foyer, there is a Polaroid photo booth and it is just way too cute!!The have a rooftop patio that just has the most amazing breath taking views.Checking in is super easy it’s contactless, you print your own cards ~ just love how quick it was.
5 stars for the staff and management. They have self check-in points, but they are very helpful in case you need help. Online check-in and check-out are very helpful. The rooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable and big, but it is so big it make the room quite small. Little wardrobe space.I stated on the survey something about the Minibar prices and they spotted they charged me wrong and are refunding the difference, without me asking for it. I appreciate this gesture so much.
NYX Hotel is modern and nice. The beds are very comfortable and big - I think we got a true king bed. The pictures online didnt do it justice. Their pictures online make the rooms look small, when in fact it was quite spacious for two people. Around the hotel there are shops and restaurants to eat. Its a 4 minute walk to the Holborn train station. The only issue I had was the shower didnt drain very well. I had to shower, turn off the shower wait for it drain then turn it back on or else the water would pour onto the floor (no drain on the floor).Room service was great and fast. The hotel staff were very accommodating and nice.
Stay here…great place! Easy check in and they got us in early after a long 20 hour travel day was so helpful. Staff is helpful, rooms clean, updated and had a lot of room! We will stay here again when coming back to the area!!
A few issues at the beginning of our visit. But after these where rectified, the staff couldnt do enough top rate customer service. Rooms are so big, decor is amazing just blown away. The swimming pool is a must, again the decor and environment is tranquil. Our 5yrs old boy was split by the staff, and they constantly engaged with him about his daily adventures.Novella, Shane, Henry and especially Ayisha. Your front of house staff are just amazing.
Fab staff and very helpful. Customer service on pint. Ayisha on the desk is a super star a long with the young male. Room was superb and on point.Decor was just Lavishly fabulous. Our 5 year old said it was wicked!Management are just so helpful and person centredMuch appreciated and see you again
This is a very nice hotel on the surface as it was recently remodeled and rebranded during the pandemic lockdown. Upon arrival, there were NYC branded lollipops and cupcakes in the room. A nice touch. The spaces are fun and quirky, however, there are some issues. The room service isn’t quite dialed in yet—I ordered in the first night and when dialing room service from the room phone, the person taking the order was obviously not familiar with the menu or taking room service orders, leading to another person coming up to the room to retake the order 10 minutes later. Food and drinks arrived relatively quickly and the food was great, but they arrived in separate visits. 30 minutes after the meal was delivered, another knock at the door was for me to pay. Apparently they are not able to bill to the room. On another day, I ordered room service that came without utensils, napkins, or condiments. The rooms are designed well overall. The lighting controls are plentiful and flexible. One big issue was that the air conditioning does not make the room cooler and is very, very noisy. I had it set to the coldest setting but the temperature never changed. It was warm in the room at times and the fan is extremely clunky and loud.If you want to access the hotel’s rooftop cocktail bar, make sure you make a reservation online and ahead of your arrival. They don’t take walk ins, even if you’re staying at the hotel, and you can’t book on the same day. Unfortunately I did not get to check it out due to these restrictions.
One of the best decisions we made in London. Right next to Tube and British Museum. We had 2 queen beds, 2 large chairs, a desk and a good sized bathroom with an awesome shower. So much space in a great location. Was very clean, staff was helpful, no problem with luggage storage upon arrival or departure and the pool was unique with a steam room and sauna, too!
I tried out the spa and quite surprised that there was no jacuzzi (consideriing its so expensive a day ticket). Not suitable for disabled people. Steps to pool and steps to steam room. Did not find the receptionists very friendly in the spa. I thanked them as I left. They just stared at me!
Sexy and modern! Extremely clean! Huge beds and room immaculate! AC blasts cold and fresh and the windows are soundproof so we were not bothered by the busy streets outside. BRAVO NYX!
Beautiful hotel and theeeeeeeee comfiest bed Ive ever slept in! Lovely amenities in the room, bathroom was beautiful but only downside was the size. Very close to the tube station.
Well fitted out rooms with great beds. We stayed with a king bed room and it was spacious super comfy and quiet. The breakfast was a bit sparse as they were understaffed due to jubilee weekend, covid or staff issues but everyone was trying their best to ensure the smooth running of the hotel. We left something behind and the hotel went and above and beyond to help us get it back.
I stayed here for a week while on holiday and have listed below on the Pros and Cons in my opinion during my stay. Before I list them, I will say that it is a hotel I would definitely stay at again.Pros- The room was a good size- The room was very clean- Excellent service from friendly staff- Extremely comfortable bed- Very modern decoration- modern technology with online check in and check out as well as online room service- Good quality soaps/lotions/teas/coffees etc- Amazing location. It is near the underground, bus stops, restaurants, all types of stores as well as the British Museum.Cons- Mirrors. There was a lack of a large mirror to be used for getting ready. There were 3 very small mirrors which was more for decoration over practicality. I would have preferred having a big mirror, near plug sockets to make getting ready easier.- Lighting. The room was very dark at night. There were only a few lights in the room which were all quite dim making matters worse.- Bathroom. There was a few issues I had with the bathroom. Firstly the water on both the shower and sink was very low pressure with not much water coming out even when on full, which made washing take quite a long time. The water also took a long time to heat up. Secondly the bathroom was very small. With such a generous room size it was shame to see the bathroom so small, you barely have enough room to dry in there after a shower.- TV. Although I didnt spend much time within the room, when I did and used the TV a lot of the programmed channels were not available only leaving no more than a few that worked.- Outside noise. It didnt feel like there was any outside noise cancellation. You could hear every car, bus, ambulance go past which with being in a central location was constantly 24/7. You could also hear every footstep in the hall from other hotel guests walking by and clearly hearing their conversations. I did wake up during my stay quite a few times due to this issue.Over all as I mentioned at the start of my review, I would definitely stay here again. The issues I did have were not big enough to take away the great positives the hotel has.
Fantastic location and beautiful rooms. However, despite the room phones being marked as working (including instructions on how to dial local numbers), they dont actually work. The reception staff simply told me they couldnt help. As a business traveler, I needed the room phone to work and booked this hotel for including a phone. Also, a bit nickle-and-dimey: early check-in costs 40 pounds, whereas other London Zone 1 hotels I stayed in on this trip offered that for free.
Stayed here a night and it was absolutely the worse. The windows don’t close fully so you could hear the sirens or traffic completely. The bathroom was overheated and had water running through the pipes the whole night so you could hear running water despite the door being closed.Absolutely won’t stay here again!
Stayed at this hotel for a London getaway weekend and let’s just say this hotel was one of the best hotels we’ve had the pleasure of staying at! Amazing pool facilities and amazing welcoming staff. We had a Slight problem with the bathroom shower. For some odd reason it was flooding and we did get into contact with the front desk and they switched our room almost immediately when they came and had a look. Also due to the troubles of that they gave us an amazing suite. Again couldn’t fault them for this technical problem. Also it was literally a 2 minute walk to the underground and everything from restaurants, bars and much more was at our hotel door steps haha. So it was really an amazing location.
Perfect location, they made my wife feel special on her birthday with some lovely cupcakes too.Spent some quality time in the steam room, I would have loved for a jacuzzi too but the spa was still nice.
The gym and pool is really nice and clean. The pool is heated and shallow enough that a 8 year old child can stand up the whole way. Theres a sauna and a steam room and a member of staff patrols the area reguarly. Theres two arcade machines too. The only downside is no childrens menu or none alcoholic drinks menu and the joining fee for a membership is quite high but the membership is reasonably priced.I suggest a childs menu or a more family friendly menu that has a wider selection of food to cater for the children going there and a menu for tea/coffee/iced lattes. The decor is lovely and the lounge is nice, the staff are quite friendly and the day passes are reasonably priced, I would visit again but it isnt my favourite as park plaza and the dilly have a better and wider selection of food and drinks and cater more to children. However park plaza doesnt offer day passes to the leisure facilities but the Dilly do.
Hotel was comfy, spa was relaxing and location was fantastic. All the staff were lovely, especially Henry who greeted us, he gave us a complimentary drinks token for my wife’s birthday which shows his character and the character of the hotel. Thanks again!
