Awesome breakfast & brunch spot in Wauwatosa! Came in from Madison to stop by Mayfair mall and wanted a quick breakfast on Sunday. Midtown did not disappoint. My favorite breakfast/lunch spot in the neighborhood! If youre in the mood to treat yourself, and not count calories, the country fried Chicken is the way to go. Only available on the weekends, a healthy cut of fried chicken breast cooked perfectly over some of the best biscuits Ive had, smothered in an out-of-this-world sausage gravy. Served with 2 eggs and hashbrowns, you wont leave disappointed or hungry. Their skillets are also delicious, especially the Shroom Chicka Shroom, but you cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Love the atmosphere, I always like sitting at the counter to watch the awesome cooks in action. Very nice staff all around on top of great food and prices makes this a go-to favorite spot!

This place is a hidden gem!! Fantastic breakfast and lunch and an outstanding Friday Fish Fry (our favorite). Always fresh and delicious. Never a bad meal here, been going for years. Carlos and his crew go out of their way to take good care of you. Friendly staff, great service, kid friendly and very reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

Food and service always great. Berry berry waffles solid pick. Tosa Classic is a good choice for the nom adventurous types. Bacon here is really good. Thin but tasty.

Breakfast Burrito & Chicken n Waffles and Oh My Goodness is what the Chimichanga cheesecake bites will have you saying... AMAZING! With such an eclectic menu we would definitely return!!!

I took my family here for breakfast and we had a great time. Get the raspberry tea. My burger with the egg on it was perfect. We are definitely coming back and our server was so nice

This is my wife and Is go to spot!The Buffalo chicken wrap is a staple.Best fries in town. Great specials. Staff is always friendly. Have gone over 20 times and have never had bad food

We love trying new places for weekend breakfast & we tried Midtown Grill this weekend. The food was tasty & I’d give that 4.5 stars!If that was our only experience, we would be back for sure. Unfortunately, we had a negative interaction with the owner. After accidentally breaking something on the patio, the owner came out to check on it. We gave a sincere apology for the unintentional MINOR damage (the broken item had already been zip tied in other areas so it appeared to have broken before), & the owner responded in an rude & unprofessional way. This isn’t a place we plan to return to, solely because of that unfortunate interaction & that’s my 3 star rating.

This place is impressive! They are family friendly, clean and the food is SO good. We’ve had several items off the menu and each item is as delicious as the next. It does get busy and you’ll probably have to wait, but it’s worth it and the staff keeps the waitlist organized.

Food is great. I love this place. If you like pork the meat my friend is superb.But all the menu items are delightful. Theres something for everyone

Jeeeeeez!!! The breakfast here is phenomenal! I got the Irishman skillet, and goodness was it delicious. I got an over medium egg with it, and the yoke combines with the hash browns and corned beef so artistically. Highly recommend visiting. Also, the service was super friendly, and helpful. Great staff + fantastic food = happy tummy

We went to the Midtown Grill last night. My boyfriend wanted to try the pan fried perch. The perch was dry and tough. He was unable to cut it with his fork. It was obviously overcooked and was inedible. My friend raved about their fish fry last week so I guess our choosing the perch was a mistake. The fries were great, as always. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Been there twice. They have a huge menu and so far it all looks great. Tried their fish fry which was good. Tried their breakfast items which were good. I like this place a lot. Its good to go for any kind of mood youre in. Breakfast, burgers, fish fry, whatever.

Owned by the same people that own North Ave Grill. I like this place better, because its less busy. Only open for lunch except on Friday open until 8pm.

We’ve lived a few blocks away for awhile now and finally got takeout! The Buffalo chicken wrap was MIND BLOWING. Giant tortilla, perfectly distributed ingredients. My boyfriend loved his burger. Fries were well seasoned. Fair prices, we will definitely be back.

This is a true gem and I highly recommend it. Its a small place but the food makes up for the wait you may experience. The menu is wonderful, not ordinary.

Good authentic food. Not a big place, its very quaint. I enjoyed my meal. It was pretty good. I had the smothered chicken and biscuits.I was definitely eyeballing other patrons plates. The burgers look amazing.Im sure one I try the other items on the menu, I will give that extra star.But... Breakfast is breakfast. And it was good

Midtown Grill is a great, local diner with phenomenal food. We have been twice and it has been amazing both times. The chicken sausage omelette with spinach, artichokes, and sun dried tomatoes was really good as well as the carnivore skillet. The buffalo chicken in the buffalo chicken salad was amazing and I can’t wait to try the buffalo chicken wrap. Needless to say, we’re really looking forward to making this spot a regular on the list and continuing to explore the menu! Service was great and the staff was friendly!

We love having breakfast at this small little cafe. Service is very quick, food is delicious, and prices are very reasonable.

This place was extremely busy. Always a good sign. They make a great omelet. And awesome hash browns. Goes great with either hot coffee or cold beer.

Breakfast was a fair price, I the all meat omlet, it didnt have any taste, coffee was good. I will not hurry back, Ive heard people say that the food was good, to each their own.

My local breakfast spot. Wonderful patio to soak up the Tosa vibe. Solid enough value, even if prices have crept up a quarter or dollar recently. Veggie quesadilla was the only disappointing meal Ive had here in years. The skillets are filling enough youll skip lunch.

North Ave Grills lesser known cousin. The food is just as great, and even has many of the same items from North Ave Grill. They arent open very late, so only plan on breakfast or lunch! Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. Amazing food and prompt, polite service. I ordered a breakfast skillet with hashbrowns, which I will definitely order again. Lots of great menu options overall. Limited seating but worth the wait if there is one. I will absolutely be back.

Nice quaint Cafe. Good menu for a small place. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger, the bun was exceptional. They have a wonderful side novelty, the fries are a mixture of waffle, crinkle, side winder, steak, wedges, standard fries and probably some other cuts.

Super. We passed on our favorite restaurant place and now have a new favorite place.. Menu wasnt overkill.... the basics plus some interesting dishes. The was great.

Midtown was pretty good. Coffee and drinks in general could definitely be upgraded, but they had a diner feel to them. Food was delicious. The loaded potato soup had a comforting feel to it. The creme brulee french toast was the table favorite. The anglaise drizzle was good, and the wild blueberries were awesome. The shroom chicka shroom skillet was nice, as well as the huevos rancheros. Hash browns were crispy outside, fluffy inside, which is my personal favorite. The cheese steak had really nice flavor, definitely made me think about coming back for a burger to try those. The cheese steak is served on a pita type bread, but the fries served with it.... They were incredible! They are a variety of types fried together, waffle, crinkle, chive, regular, and chunk. Amazing. Seasoned well. So good. Needed more for sure.

Amazing food! Absolutely loved my Turkey sandwich! It came with not just fries but every fry and perfectly seasoned! Cant wait to come back and try breakfast!

Ordered the 5 grain power bowl for carryout and it exceeded my expectations, definitely ordering again! Also, their fries still beat anyone elses, hands down. Super friendly service, highly recommend 👍

I originally was trying to order from north avenue grill, but when i called they didnt pick up (they were busy). So then i decided to ordered to go from midtown grill. Prices are reasonable. Got my food in 15 minutes. All the food we order from there was delicious and it hit the spot (and we ordered a lot). Well definitely be going to that location from now on 🙌

Small but clean, staff was nice and checked on us without being a bother. Food was good and served in timely manner. I had the chorizo and avocado skillet. Prices reasonable. Have no complaints would go back again.

I had a great time here. We sat at the counter. I ordered breakfast tacos and their Pico de Gallo is unforgettable. I loved the ribbon potato hash browns. my husband ordered corned beef hash which was equally delicious. A+++++Thanks!Captain Save A Home

First time visiting this location. I had been to the sister restaurant, North Ave Grill a few times in the past and was glad that there wasnt a long wait at Midtown Grill (something that often kept me away from North Ave Grill). This is a cute little restaurant in the location where Johns Sandwich Shop used to be (the new establishment is much more welcoming). I had the Farm omelette and it was fantastic. The omelette was packed with a nice selection of fresh veggies, accompanied by a generous serving of ribbon-cut hash brown potatoes and fresh fruit. The restaurant is only open until 2pm weekdays and 3pm weekends, and the menu is balanced between breakfast and lunch items. There are many things on the menu I hope to try in the future - great little restaurant!

North Ave Grill was a 45 minute wait, so the hostess recommended we check out their sister restaurant Midtown & I’m so glad we did! Food was fantastic, quick and the service was excellent! A cozy place, with the diner feel, exactly what we wanted on a Sunday. Highly recommend the pancake flight if you can’t decide!

Went here today for the first time. Ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was very good. The atmosphere and staff were very nice. The major draw back was the fairly limited menu. We went for lunch and there werent very many lunch options. The restaurant itself is pretty small but there is counter service. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Had the best French Toast ever and all of the staff was friendly its a lovely local spot and I will make sure to come back again

Was a good place! I wish the hours were longer, and the wait was a little long. There was no hostess stand or much of an area to wait in so that made things a bit tight. But either way, food was tasty! Requesting adding lettuce tomato onion to the Royal burger was a good idea, helped cut the richness. I like how they give a whole assortment of fries too, they were cooked to right doneness and seasoned well too.
