Seeing the wealth on Skaneateles Lake can only be achieved by taking the cruise. It was well narrated and an enjoyable excursion.

My family of 5 plus my parents did a 1 hour narrated tour of the lake. Really enjoyed the beauty of the vessel and the natural features of the lake. If there is a downside, the narrated tour is really just pointing out million dollar properties and who used to or currently lives there...some people are into it. There are some history points mixed in which are interesting. Doesnt drop a star for me because I love being on the water and the ship is beautiful!

The Mid Lakes cruises on Skaneateles Lake (yes, Ive learned to spell it after all these yearsare always a relaxing summer and autumn getaway. The lunch buffet catered by the wonderful Sherwood Inn is the icing on the cake.

This was a beautiful, narrated cruise around the lake. Very enjoyable and well worth the money. *note*... passengers: please be respectful of those who are interested in the narration and keep your voices down. The information the captain is sharing about the different estates on the water is very interesting.. many fun facts are mentioned about well known people.

One hour day cruise is a perfect way to relax and learn about some history of Skaneateles. Crew were very helpful and Capital did a wonderful job narrating. Highly recommend.

The Lake Skaneateles narrated boat tour was great. We learned the interesting history of the village and the people that made it such a great place to visit and the people that continue to make it great. Great cruise on a beautiful clear lake. Magnificent homes line the lake. Crew was professional and attentive to our needs. Lunch was good, but the beauty is the lake.

We recently held a party on the Judge Ben Wiles on Skaneateles Lake. We chartered the entire boat for a two-hour cruise. I cannot express how perfect the event was... from the pre-planning, to the food, the staff and of course the gorgeous venue. Our guests were absolutely delighted with every detail. I would recommend Mid-Lakes Navigation most highly... it is a day we will not forget!!! Thank you to Kristen and the entire Mid-Lakes team!!

A group of folks attending the Skaneateles Antique and Classic Boat Show July 31, 2022 boarded the Judge for a special sightseeing cruise to watch the boats race around us. The staff was great, captain very knowledgeable and gracious. Mid-Lakes hosted our group - and our whole show - with style and good spirits. Of course, well be back next year!

This dinner cruise was spectacular. Dinner - from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious! The information shared by the ships captain about the houses and the area was delightful and very interesting! We would definitely do this again.!

Dale was a fabulous and fun captain for our beautiful evening cruise! Dawn was very friendly too and served great drinks! Loved the beautiful scenery and the company too!

If you are looking to see how the rich 1 percenters enjoy their vacation homes, this will be it. Most of the narrative is about what’s on the shore line which are million$ dollar homes. The small end of the lake is for the 99% of society the rest is for the wealthy to enjoy their private lakefront. The boat was clean and enjoyed the ride but, it can be depressing to see such accumulated wealth and how it takes away access to the lake for everyone but the private owners.

Boat ride was great. The captain and first mate were excellent in their service and tour information. I highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I went on the evening Cocktail Cruise to celebrate our anniversary. It was so charming and relaxing. The food and drinks were good, and the staff was very kind and attentive. There was some narration from the captain pointing out interesting houses and land features, but not so much narration that we couldnt have our own conversation and enjoy ourselves. Overall, we had a wonderful time and are already planning another trip with some friends.

Beautiful day on the lake the captain and crew were friendly and accommodating and shared their knowledge of the lake with the passengers

We took the 1 hour tour around the lake and I found it to be a relaxing experience. Drink service was reasonably priced considering they need to turn a profit. Soft drinks, tea, lemonade, water, and some alcoholic beverages were available. They take cash and credit. There was plenty of room to sit but if you can, standing at the back of the ship is a great way to pass the time. The tour included some nice history of homes along the way, which along with the view were my favorite parts of the trip.

This cruise was so pleasant and enjoyable. Very classy! The captain pointed out interesting things and taught us about the area, but he didnt just talk continuously. He stayed quiet enough to allow us to enjoy the peace over the water. The crew/servers were fantastic. They were very attentive, but not intrusive. The low volume music added to the atmosphere of elegance, while allowing us to have conversations with ourselves and other passengers at a normal volume of speech.The food exceeded our expectations! The clam chowder was delicious and actually had clams. The bread was very fresh. The prime rib was phenomenal, seasoned and cooked to perfection.My husband and I would love to do this again on a future visit. It was worth every penny!

Today I took my senior group of 52 on the lunch cruise. Excellent! Staff was friendly and took care of all of our needs. The buffet lunch was delicious.I would go back again! Thanks for making our day great!

Highly recommend it was just beautiful the scenery was just absolutely amazing. The crew was great, we were running late due to traffic we called and they made sure we were rebooked and it was just so flawless. Enjoyed it Thank you

This is our second time enjoying this wonderful cruise! The only complaint I have is, our view of the gorgeous lake and homes was blocked several times by people standing. It would be nice if the crew enforced people staying in seats or standing where it wasnt blocking anyone views. Got several views of peoples backsides-very close to my seat. yuck!

The site seeing tour was amazing! Loved it! The tour guide was terrific and his crew was very nice and attentive. Enjoyed learning all the history. Totally recommend this cruise.

Great cruise and decent lunch. This was buffet style with cold cuts, breads, cheese, potato salad, chips, green salad and hot items of BBQ beef, chicken and dumplings, and vegetarian lasagna. As I said, decent food and coupled with the narrated tour was very enjoyable. Before going you order online, which you think is a table service approach but turns out to be buffet. Im sure the pre-order is to gauge the crowd, but wouldnt stop someone from eating your particular order. Not a big deal. Servers were excellent as was the Captain/narrator. Wonderful way to spend a couple of hours on a gorgeous lake.

I have taken Midlakes Navigation twice, for special occasions, recently I gifted Dad a Monday lunch cruise and it was just phenomenal – a year earlier a dinner cruise for their anniversary. A five-star rating does not do it justice. The food – as before at a dinner cruise we took was top notch and nothing was skipped for quality. The captain was jovial, and we enjoyed his stories and history. The boat is older, but immaculate and intimate. It is clear that great pride is taken in keeping the boat looking sharp. Perhaps the very best part of the cruise was the crew. Everyone we encountered had a smile and something nice to say. Our own waitress was phenomenal, bought drinks quickly and could not have been more polite and personable. We look forward to many more cruises with Midlakes.

It was a gloomy, rainy day so a good day for a cruise and libation around the lake. Nice crew and captain was very upbeat and informative.

Visited the park at the Skaneateles Lake where the cruise line is launched. We did not take a cruise but enjoyed the beautifully maintained park. Many plaques recognizing all the area men and women who were in many of the wars starting with the War of 1812 through Vietnam and beyond. Great memorial for our brave military. God bless all of you.

We took the 50 minute North-End cruise and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The cruise is partially narrated to let you know about the past and/or current owners of the magnificent homes along the shore. There is beverages service. There is outdoor and indoor seating with roll-down sides.

So great!! The crew and captain are wonderful! Nice people. I thought the captain was so funny! I didnt know but during the 50 min boat ride the captain shares his history, info and fun facts about the homes and about the lake. I thought when he said what he was going to do, I thought oh no please dont.... bc I thought it was going to be a snooze fest. I was totally wrong! It was so engaging. He made us all laugh. The fun facts were actually interesting to learn about! Definitely a good time and well worth the money. Oh and we were told about bathrooms and drink options! Definitely good to know! Different seating options are available!

We have wanted to do the mailboat tour for several years now, and finally were able to do so. It did not disappoint!! Captain Dale and Ms. Emily were gracious and informative hosts and guides. Captain Dale even gave our 4 year old a "captains pin" which he is refusing to take off. :The ride was smooth and we loved helping to deliver the mail and see the full beauty of the lake. Would highly, highly recommend.

A lovely experience. Our party enjoyed the Captains knowledge of the area, the homes and the history of the lake. We enjoyed a lovely white wine from the near by Winery on board. Wait staff was attentive but not over the top. We went to the Sherwood after and had a delicious dinner after on the porch. I can’t wait to do it again!

Food isnt the best meal Ive ever had, hence 4 stars. HOWEVER THE BREAD IS TO DIE FOR SO GOOD. We had a wonderful trip. The captain was wonderful, hilarious, really and the trip around the lake was thoroughly enjoyable, we really had a great time. Staff was wonderful and relocated us away from nearby group upon request, we had a great trip. Dessert was delicious.

Great narrated tour. Interesting history and anecdotes of lakeside properties. During COVID, they run the boats at 50% capacity, which means the company respects peoples health.

I was surprised at how romantic the dinner cruise was considering there are other people around. The crew was very attentive to everyone and very welcoming.

Loved the captain and the attentive staff we had the night of our dinner cruise. Not to mention the delicious prime rib dinner. This cruise is something everyone should take part in at least once in their lives, but you’ll go more than once trust me. Having the chance to be out on the water, enjoying a good meal while observing all the incredible houses on the lake is a great time.

I wish there were more stars to give, we spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon with Cpt. John, Stephanie and Marissa. The tour was full of information, Jokes, Great service, Delicious food from Dino BBQ and Ice Cold Beer. I highly recommended Sunday Dino BBQ tour and I will do it again for sure. It was a great experience. The guide was very informational and enjoyable to listen to. The houses on the lake were enormous and the lake was beautiful. We only went on the 50 minute cruise and it was great. I cant imagine how nice the longer ones would be.
