Microbrasserie Le Corsaire - Microbrewery in Lévis, Canada
Microbrasserie Le Corsaire in Lévis
Description
Privilege
We got 2 beer flights and some appetizers. Every thing was amazing and great customer service!
MoreNice beer, excellent blues playlist. Worth taking the ferry for!
Real pub with good beer selection and nice music.
Some of the worst food I ever had at a restaurant. Ordered the $60 BBQ platter ..brisket was dry , ribs terrible ,sauces were not edible, homemade sausage was so dry it was also not edible. What a shame I used one of my vacation dinners here. I don’t know how this place has good reviews ? Maybe just the beer . My husbands was good . My sample was not so I didn’t order one.
MoreThe service was mediocre. It took a very long time for our drinks, even longer for food, portions were small and price was high. Food tasted good. Not exceptional but good. Beer tasted fine.
MoreLoud, busy and small portions. The beef brisket I received was such a small portion, I would be okay with that if it was delicious, but it lacked flavor and was very fatty. Beer was delicious and the buffalo wings were good.
MoreGood place to take a beer and a burger (beer or pulled pork). Also you have the view of Quebec if you sit in the terrace, just in front of the ferry.
MoreTook the ferry over for a taster flight of great beers and a little snack. Well worth the trip. No shade on the terrace though so bring a hat if youd like to sit outside...
MoreIf you are looking for beer...maybe a good choiceHowever, the food was horrible and over pricedthe staff was nice and friendlyI would never eat here again. The view is ok
MoreThis is a great little waterfront bar, located right next to the ferry terminal. The beers offered are local, creative and interesting. I dont even like beer much and I happily snarfed down their "Queen Annes Revenge," a delicious fruit/wheat beer. The patio outside is sunny and very pleasant. The only negative (and it is perhaps to be expected in the era of COVIDis that they occasionally just close early due to lack of traffic. We went over from downtown one night for a drink and it had shut early.
MorePretty good English bitter (the Kirke), good music and a nice view of the city.
waited too long to get seated. very understaffed and poor service.
Hidden treasury for non Lévis people. I went for comfy food on a Saturday after a beach day. I must highlight its enviable view of Quebec city in a summer sunset. Must tries are buffalo chicken wings with ranch sauce which is perfectly spicy to wake up your paladar, bacon mac and cheese acompanied with salad of a day which was a filling greek salad, perfect to make you feel at home in a movie night. Last but not least ananas au rhum, which was the missing cherry to a perfect cozy afternoon. Service were joyfull and atentive. However, I must just warn of toilets
MoreTake the beer. Better price for the feeling. Its pretty amazing to sit outside with a view of the Frontenac Castle.
MoreGreat place for a good time in Quebec City! Short ferry ride to great atmosphere, good barbecue and spectacularly efficient and super friendly staff. Waitress who lived in Plano, Texas was super helpful! Highly recommend!
MoreBest beer in town. Got the poutine of the day and it was a delight !
Cool place, amazing terrace that faces Old Quebec city, the food and beer is flawless...Cant wait to find time with my Empress to go back.🐙♥️
MoreGood beer, good times and good food! One of the bar tenders happens to make the best cocktails you will find this side of the St. Lawrence. If you’re nearby or taking the ferry to or from Quebec, be sure to visit Le Corsaire!
MoreThe food was good, service could have been a little bit better, but not bad enough to knock it down a star. Stop in if youre in the area!
MoreI’ve been here a few times in summertime for food and a beer on the patio. It’s always been very good! This time, my son was visiting me from out of province and he took my girlfriend and me for dinner! It was great! I had the pulled pork sandwich and the pork just melted in my mouth. I ordered mashed potatoes as a side which was also very good. I usually have the Davy Jones stout which I absolutely love. The nachos are always excellent there as well. I highly recommend the restaurant especially for non-French speaking tourists as it’s right by the Old Québec City to Old Lévis ferry terminal and most of the staff there speak English. It is an English style pub after all!
MoreWe thought this brewery was further up the hill, but it is right near the ferry station and bike path. Excellent views of the river and Quebec. We only stopped for a few IPAs, and light snacks and salad, but the beer was good and the staff were friendly. Not too crowded.
MoreGreat vibes, superb service and delicious variety of beer and food offered here
My friend and I went to Levis for a walk and it was the only open restaurant/bar near to the ferry.Very nice place, friendly staff (thank you for speaking English with me, because I’m still way too shy to speak French❤️Prices are good too, not too expensive. A little poutine costed me 8.50$ (before taxes), 4 little beers (5oz eachcosted 8.50$ too. Nice place to grab some beer and something to eat after walking around and when you wait for a ferry back to Québec city.
MoreA lovely restaurant right on the St Lawrence and in view of old Quebec City. Service is friendly in both French and English, the beer list is broad and tasty, and food comes lighting fast! For Anglophones like myself, like always, I kindly advise trying your French--theres no better place in the world to give it a shot as Quebecois have perhaps the best ears around to understand someone (like myselfspeaking French with a terrible English accent and awful grammar! Bonne chance!
MoreSeriously I had really high expectations for this place. But I was just disappointed of my experience. The beers were great, I have to say. I would recommend to go for a quick drink after the ferry. But no more than that. The service was just absent and the food... This is the worst "poutine of the moment" I ever had. It was just so disgusting we were laughing about it. Couldnt tell the server as it was not here for us... Sad to say but be aware.
MoreThe atmosphere and setting on the waterfront is truly amazing. Food is 10/10.Cons - I dont drink alcohol and they dont have any options with zero-alcool. Theres a lot of very good microbrewery producing zero-alcool beers or ciders these days so I believe its something they are missing. Alternatively they could make Kombucha or something interesting to drink for those who cant have alcool. So yeah for my personal experience its the only thing missing.
MoreAfter being told by TripAdvisor this spot was open, and then by the actual website that it was only serving "Take-out", we discovered that it was open and had a nice revised menu. This is a very nice gastropub with an excellent variety of their own craft beer. They also feature a very good food menu, so do not go by the outdated website. We ordered the sample platter and it was all delicious. The French Fries were definitely worth the calories, being hot and crispy.
MoreJust had lunch after crossing on the ferry. The food was super good (the popcorn poutine was amazing !). However, the Le Corsaires speciality is their beer. The Davy Jones had an incredibly good taste. Finally the staff was super friendly. Would 100% recommend !
MoreGreat stop for lunch before heading back to Quebec City on the ferry! We had 2 beer flights, the cheese board and duck drumsticks and it was all delicious! Really enjoyed the pirate theme as well
MoreAtmosphere is nice. The servers are cute and the overall "gourmet" type of food is nice. The menu often changes since its made by the chief cook. Theres often new things to try so Id recommend it to anyone who is sick of all those boring fast food menus.
MoreQuite a nice location and a summer view to die for. The beer is of great quality and the staff very friendly. The food is actual and well prepared and the prices are fair to somewhat expensive for that kind of place.I wasnt a fan of having my food served on skateboards. The novelty factor isnt so great and the boards are cumbersome and the food falls everywhere. I think they could let the quality of their meals do its magic and drop the weird plating antics. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this place but take extra napkins for when youll miss having a plate!
MoreHey if you want a nice view and a good local brew its the place to go. Youll have the view towards Quebec City in the summer, but nonetheless inside is nice and cozy during the winter. After your done take the ferry and take a walk around the old Quebec City.
MoreThe food here was AMAZING! The perfect place to have a meal when you take the ferry to Levis.
MoreFun place but Im a bit too old for this kind of scene. Maybe people under 40 will enjoy it more. Good drinks great price
MoreFantastic blend of classic charm and chic. Food is way above average for quality, service is excellent.
MoreHad a nice dinner, though the fries werent to my taste. The burger was delicious! And the Queen Annes Revenge was a really nice beer to accompany the meal. Staff was fast and friendly
MoreGreat spot very close by the Quebec - Levis ferry. Good craft beer. Great staff. Try their fish and chips. It is a short trip but worth it for the view.Take the ferry from Quebec about 11:30. Wander over for lunch and a pint. Take the ferry back.Food is cheaper and better than all the tourist spots in lower town
MoreBen is the best bartender ever! We stayed long enough that we missed our ferry. Very fun; great beer menu. Huge food portions. Friendly locals!
MoreA solid pub experience. Right near the ferry with a beautiful patio. My husband had two different ales including a delicious stout. I had their cider and it was wonderful. It seemed to be full of locals and even though we were visiting, people were genuinely friendly. We had the hummus plate and it was fantastic.
MoreAlways on time and very quick to go from one side of the river to another. It takes probably around 12 minutes and its a nice experience overall. You can go to the top of the boat and take a look at the Chateau. Its a nice view of the city skyline that you cant really see otherwise. If youre not fan of the wind you can stay inside. They dont have bathrooms but they have vending machines if youre up for a snack.
MoreThis pub is in a great location. It’s full of locals and the atmosphere it’s fun and energetic. The servers speak English and were helpful and courteous. We were very impress with the view and the food.
MoreThis place rocks. Great food and specials as evidenced by the cod and seal plate. Solid pub menu and great microbrews. Definitely worth the the ferry trip from Quebec and for you tourists that ferry trip is a great photo-op. Located about 200m from the ferry terminal. Id say a must add to your this to do here even if the place risks to be overrun with tourists from a local point of view.
MoreNice selection of microbrews, many of them are made on site...Great view of Quebec from Levis, also it is 2 minutes walk from the ferry so convenient place to wait if you miss a departure time!
MoreWe selected the restaurant online, viewing what appeared to be a decent menu with a view of the St. Lawrence river. Upon arrival we noticed the patio was extremely small. As a result we could not be seated outside as it was full. Unfortunate as we are visiting the area. The decor left a lot to be desired (and I nean alotas did the menu, which has it turns out was an extremely reduced menu as it was Sunday. I believe we had only three options for dinner. The food was tough and delivered only partially warm. The server should not have been in this role. And we questioned the cleanliness. Really the only good things about this restaurant were the Sangrias and the beer selection.
MoreUnfortunately Im being forced to update this review due to what I perceive as major changes to the business model here. The beer is still great however the service has taken a major down turn and it seems they have decided they can fleece their customers (both regular and touriston the kitchen. The for has never been cheap here and the quality is still there but portion size and selection has taken a major hit imo. They lose 2 stars for this and the crappy level of service.Great micro brewery. The beer is exceptional.
MoreOne of the only spots I’ve found where you can sit outside, enjoy a tasty burger and a local microbrew with a great view over the St Laurence of the old Quebec. Top notch!
MoreI totally enjoyed my taste of their beers. The food was good too. Unlucky the service was slow.
MoreGreat food, even greater beer and such a nice selection. They won many awards for their beers and I know why. Loved the ambiance and decor. Nice view on St Lawrence River and Québec from terrace. Will definitely go back.
MoreThe beer was very good but as we did not eat here cant rate a 5 without that knowledge. Staff was friendly. We had our kids with us and they were not allowed in the main seating area. We could sit on the back patio area which wasnt very picturesque, but fine for chatting over beers.
MoreIt took them 1:30 hours to make these dishes, and was not busy at all. Dont bother to order food there.
