The prime rib, the ribeye, or the duck... I always have a hard time picking, we love this place! We ended up getting engaged here and Sarah and the staff went out of their way for us!Update 2/20/21 - We went back to the pop-up offering at the Petite Chef and had an amazing dinner. One of the best French onion soups Ive ever had, the prime rib was on point, and the risotto was perfect. Sarah and the staff caught wind our wedding was in 22 days and surprised us with an wonderful dessert.

Food was very good. Service was not so good. Maybe a bad night for our particular server. Sat with empty drinks. One person in our party ended up going to the bar for a drink. I feel when youre spending that kind of money, service should be rocking it! 5 star on the food.

Very disappointed, took my wife there for a date night. We ordered prime rib, which was a very good size, she had a filet, baked potato and some mushrooms. We started with soup as well, the clam chowder was very peppery, the prime rib was super dry and needed a ton of Au jus just to eat it, also no seasoning as well. The wife’s filet came out shaped very weird, but again very dry and no seasoning. We decide to take dessert to go because at this point we just wanted to leave, but we were still trying to be nice because the server was very nice to us. Got home and looked at the key lime pie we ordered and it was so small and so very tart it was almost unbearable to eat. With that being said, we will not be back, and would recommend others to look at better places like Palmers in Hartland or Kurts steak house in Delafield. And not worth the money as well.

Went here for my birthday and sat outside in the globe. It was fantastic! Not just the ambiance but the food. Every course was spot on. Bacon wrapped water chestnuts, French onion soup, Filet, Prime, baked potato & carrots. It all was excellent!

Ill start by saying that our waitress was very nice. She provided us the best service she could. The food on the other hand, was awful. The only food item that tasted good was the French onion soup. My partner ordered the blonde cut rib to be cooked medium. It was overcooked and rubbery. I ordered the shrimp scampi. The noodles were doused in so much sauce, it was overwhelming and ruined the taste of everything. We both ordered a baked potato on the side, which were undercooked. They were difficult to cut into and werent worth eating. It was such a waste to spend $130 for bad food.

Worst service ever. We waited at the bar for over an hour even though the host said it would be a 30 min wait. After seeing three couples that came in after us I got upset. My girlfriend asked the host what the is issue why didn’t we get sat? He said that was his fault and that they had a table ready. They sat us in front of the ladies room. I mean right in front. You can smell the bathroom odor after 2 mins. We abruptly left to never return. Sad because the place was so close to our new home. We had high hopes and they let us down. Stay away and enjoy other establishments that value the customers that are spending hard earned money.

At dinner we all ordered steak 4 prime rib and 1 Filet. We all agreed it was the best steak and dinner we have ever had along with the service. We e definitely be back!

My wife and I really enjoy coming to Michael’s. The food is always delicious, and the staff is always warm and inviting. The prime rib is my favorite anywhere, and the specials are always great. Also, the drinks are very reasonable, especially the wines. This is a beautiful supper club, I highly recommend.

Ive been coming to Michaels since I was a kid. It used to be once a year on my moms birthday (her choice, every year), and then its been more sporatic as Ive gotten older. I had high hopes seeing that there was new ownership who had brightened the place up. When we arrived, the bar was 3/4 empty, the dining room was about the same, so certainly not even remotely packed. We were seated at a 2 top next to a 5 top and there was one other solo diner in the room. It then took almost 10 minutes for us to get a waitress for a drink order, meanwhile one of the owners (or at least from overhearing him, I think he was), sat two other couples he recognized and they both got drinks ordered and delivered in that time while we waited for someone to even talk to us. Not off to a good start. A woman who said she works there doing marketing finally stopped over and apologized and took our drink order and, since by that time we were well prepared, our meal order. I had the soup dujour and the wife started with a salad. Both took about 20-25 minutes to come out which seemed to be quite long given that soup is certainly hot in a pot in the back and just needs to be ladled and a salad shouldnt take any time to throw together, but one of the waitresses did drop off bread and crackers in the meantime. The soup was very good. Then the real wait came. The wife had ordered king crab legs, and I had ordered the house cut (20 ozprime rib. Both were brought to our table at almost 70 minutes after we were seated. Of her crab legs, 4 were decent sized and properly cooked, a few were medium sized and slightly overcooked but not bad, and one was small and cooked to the point it was stiff and wouldnt even separate from the shell. My prime rib was blackened on the outside, and not in a good way, the seasoning had been completely burned and was inedible. The inside towards the bone was perfectly medium rare, but because of the botch job on the outside, a good 1/3rd of the meat from the edge in was bordering on medium well and the tail end fell apart like a pot roast. We both had baked potatoes that were dark inside (almost like a orange-ish brown, which, Im guessing, indicates they were stored wrong (in too cold of a location causing some starch to turn to sugars, which then carmalize giving the flesh a darker color). They tasted fine however. We finished the night off with 2 slices of the mega rich chocolate which is a ganache on a truffle tart with a small dollop of local custard. They were delicious and one was given to us for free as it was my wifes birthday. All in all, given the extensive wait, which appeared to be a kitchen issue not so much a waitress issue, although the delay at the start certainly could have been, the burned exterior and overcooked parts of the prime rib, and given the prices ($7.75 per mixer, $78 for the king crab legs, $38 for the house cut), I can say that Michaels no longer lives up to the way I remember it, which is a shame since I really like whats been done with the interior. I can only hope this was a single off-night, and certainly want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but itll definitely be some time before I want to put forth that level of money on a second attempt.

I stumbled across this gem while on a work trip. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, the bread was warm, and the spreads for the bread were delicious. At the time, the online menu was a bit outdated (NY strip was on online menu, but the steakhouse no longer served this cut).

While I think the place is a little dated and certain aspects were strange (the crackers and cheese and other spread, for example), this is a place that aims to please. From the bartender to the server to the, presumably, manager/owner, everyone was nice, inviting and seemed genuinely interested in us having a good time. We ordered an appetizer, I think it was called Sour Cream and Onion, and it was so good. I ordered the Ribeye while my wife ordered the prime rib... both were great but, the name of the place says it all. Get the prime rib, you wont be disappointed.

We used our City Tin for this location. I got the 20oz prime rib and my husband the fillet. Steak was cooked perfectly, he said almost as good as Mr. Bs.. Excellent service. BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP! almost gravey like, rich and thick, not watery brothy if thats a word.

Very nice, friendly atmosphere and service, batter on fried cod was over fried, the perch should be lightly pan-fried rather than deep-fried, and a new cole slaw recipe is definitely needed because of the very strange taste. Valet service great and otherwise a fine establishment, but please remove those tacky garlands of plastic flowers attached above some of the doors and windows - they really cheapen the appearance of the place!

Lake perch was good. Thats hard to find. Staff was friendly. Service not so good. Had reservations. waited 1 hour 45 minutes to be served. Cook problems. Hope they can solve them. Pricey place. Upscale priced cocktails. $40 with tip for a round of 4. No excuse for poor service at these prices.

We are retired and eat out a lot. We prefer smaller, non chain restaurants. The ones locally owned. Quality of food is important, but service is even more so. We had a reservation and the hostess that greeted us was very pleasant. She seated as at a table in a lovely room of all old fashioned white painted small paned windows with white linen table clothes on the tables. The room reminded me of a sunroom. I loved this room! Our server Valerie greeted us right away, introducing herself and taking our drink orders from the bar. My husband ordered coffee and Valerie said she would make a fresh pot. It was good coffee.Very pleasant young woman! Our water arrived, then something we havent seen in a long time in restaurants, a basket with crackers and breadsticks along with a bowl of cheddar cheese spread and a bowl of ham salad! We also received a loaf of warm bread. I ordered Thai mussels in a coconut milk, lemon grass and Thai red curry sauce with crusty bread for dipping. For me, a meal by itself. Very good! My husband ordered liver that he really enjoyed. It was such a large portion he brought half home. Michaels is known for their prime rib. We arent prime rib eaters but we saw a number of people enjoy theirs. As we left a gentleman opened the door for us. He asked how our experience was at Michaels. I told him it was great. Upon my asking he said he was one of the new owners who bought it 2 years ago as he walked out with us. Again, an owner who cared to ask us how we liked his establishment. To us this says, he cared about his restaurant and he cared about his customers experience. As diners we have a choice where we eat every time we go out. He obviously knows that and the attitude at Michaels, by everyone, including the valet who parked our car, says "we appreciate your business, please return. "

My son recently moved to the area and told me how wonderful this establishment was. Classy yet casual. He brought me there for Fathers day and it was fantastic 😊 savory Lucius steaks made perfect. My mouth is watering just thinking of it! They all were very polite, great with the kids and so hospitable. I think everyone deserves to spoil themselves at least once at this magnificent place. We will be back again soon without a doubt! Thanks for a most pleasurable dinning experience!

Cozy restaurant across from Pewaukee Lake. They have a section of unique drinks on the menu and we tried a very fun spicy sweet drink called the Flummox. From the main menu we recommend the prime rib blackened and the brisket. Both were delicious! Loaded potato was served in a small iron skillet with a ton of tasty toppings - one of the best weve ever had. Well be back!

Great old time supper club. Saturday night special is prime rib, which my husband had. I had a filet. Its pricey, but well worth it. The decor has changed since we last visited. Very sunny and bright. The menu changed as well. They dont have the lazy Susan for salads anymore, but our waitress brought us homemade croutons, which were delicious. You get soup and salad with your meal, along with ham salad and cheese spread. Well worth the trip.

Service was good people are very nice. They have a valet. He literally backed our car into the road and then backed it into the same place.... stupidLets start with the menus. the drink menu had a sticky whatever it was all over it. The food menus was paper. They were both crumpled and stained. I guess this should have been a clue but what the hell we were there so.We got an app. that was fries with a cheese sauce, bacon, onions and an egg on top. it came in a cast iron dish that was very hot. the fries on the other hand were mostly cold. The sauce was tasteless. The bacon was bacon so there was that.My wife got a salad... just bad. I got the sausage black bean chili. I like salt but wow. The Pacific has less salt. The chili had no other flavor, just salt. I believe that I have hypertension now. They did bring bread but only after the salad and chili. it was a ciabatta roll. I like ciabatta so yay. It came with a ham spread that was weird at best and a dollop of cheddar spread that was fine.My wife got a prime rib, their specialty. Oh boy. This thing was very poor. It was very fatty and not the melt in your mouth awesome fat but the cant chew through it kind. The meat was low quality and had no taste other than the rub. The rub left much to be desired. I got the bone in rib eye. it was cook to the correct temp. Only one side was seared and not very well. To say that it was under seasoned would assume that it was seasoned at all. It was not. I think they ran out of salt after making the chili. The fat of the outside of the steak had been trimmed. I am not sure if that happens before or after they got it. The steak had no flavor at all. The asparagus was as it should be.When we asked for a box for the leftovers they put our steak and prime rib in plastic bags.I am remarkably disappointed with this place. You would think that for $108.00 the menus would at least be clean. Would not recommend and will not go back. I heard this place was good but apparently it was sold recently and has suffered for it

If I could give more stars I would. Everyone from the very curteous valet, the pleasant and sociable bar tenders, efficient and friendly wait staff, and the worlds friendliest owner is OUTSTANDING in every measure. 3rd time there last night and has become THE place of choice when a supper club experience is wanted. Oh yeah the food is EXCEPTIONAL too. I have to believe the one star reviews were one- off outliers, or internet trolls. There is not a thing I would change about the place. I know I will be back and anyone thinking about an upscale dining date would do well to try it. Keep up the great work!!!

I normally dont give 5 stars unless a place wows me and Michaels house of prime did just that. I was very skeptical after reading a few of the reviews but I figured what the heck I will give it a try and Im glad I did. As soon as we sat at the bar the bartender was kind an friendly. One of the owners came over an talked to us we told him this was are 1st time he said your going to love are restaurant..We had a few drinks and were seated within 30 minutes. The prime rib is amazing and quite on the large side even with bone in. Are server was friendly and courteous. As we where leaving one of the other owners asked us how was everything..I said I loved it and you have a new customers..Do yourself a favor make Michaels a Saturday ritual. Highly recommend reservations..

The wait staff was friendly and the service was good. The prime rib had way too much fat. The sizes they list for the prime rib are deceiving because of the amount of fat. My prime rib had a bone as well. They make no mention of this on the menu which further adds to the deception of weight for the prime rib. The prime rib was tough enough I had to throw most of it away. Very, very dissapointed. Therr was no tender area of the prime rib. The center of the prime rib was flavorless as well. The best item I had was the bread. For the price this is totally unacceptable. Look elsewhere for a good prime.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the some of the changes in the menu and the new owner. Our appetizers of Tiger Prawns and a spicy shrimp were surprisingly delicious with a little something extra. The Sockeye salmon and Prime rib were delicious. Our waitress Ann was excellent. She was friendly, informative, patient, and attentive to our needs. Love the upgrade of the menu and the fresh new ideas of the chef. My boyfriend and I will return!

Went for our Anniversary, was quite the disappointment !!! Made our decision to go to this restaurant because it had good reviews and was known for great prime rib. So now it makes me wonder about reviews. My husband had the well known prime rib and said it was NO BIG DEAL (actually kind of tough well past medium. Bean soup was so spicy couldnt finish. I had French onion soup that I agreed to have it upgraded to Baked, again NO BIG DEAL and then found out it was a $4.00 upcharge, for a cup not a little crock that it usually comes in, That is ridiculous! I ordered split crab legs that were less then NO BIG DEAL, several actually had that ammonia taste that comes from being old seafood, $73.00 for my entrée. The waitress was pleasant however it took a while to get our overpriced check because she was busy talking to someone who she recognized at another table. My recommendation is go somewhere else or stay home and save your $$$. Always another anniversary next year.

Wow. So putting linen cloths on the tables and painting the walls white constitutes a 30% increase in menu prices??? What a joke.Came here with friends who merely eight months ago had a great prime rib meal in a fantastic Wisconsin style supper club. Now its turned into some posh wannabe joke of an establishment. My overcooked salmon came with the smallest baked potato in the world.Would not return. There are better establishments in the area.

The new owners have 100% ruined a Pewaukee tradition after 40+ years. Have been coming for 15 years and will not be going back or recommending it to anyone. Over priced and just not the same. Very sad. No longer a supper club but more of a pay for every item Milwaukee restaurant. Owner only said high and talked to the older crowed never once came over and said high to me or my girlfriend the entire time. The only good part is the bartender Jared he was fantastic.

I have been going to Michaels for more than 15 years. Unfortunately, the food quality had been slipping recently. The new owners are implementing consistent improvements across the board. The staple of the prime rib is back to rivaling any Chicago steakhouse. The cocktail and wine programs are top notch. On my last visit, the duck confit was surprisingly light and unbelievably balanced as a dish. The future is bright. Whether you are dining with family and friends or entertaining for business, you wont be disappointed with modern improvements to Michaels.
