Tacos, burritos, fajitas & other familiar Mexican dishes are served in a casual setting.
Delicious food, amazing margaritas and you wont break your wallet. We went for dinner and the guy who was a server was so nice and friendly. Food came out so quick and hot! Any my picky kid even loved her kids shrimp plate. I got 3 tacos, and bf got a steak fajitas plate.
Top 3 spot for Mexican food Ive had in GA. Price is affordable and the margaritas are on point.
Ive been here quite a few times over the past 20yrs and have always enjoyed the dine in here, wonderful staff and great authentic food! A real Mexican food experience, watch out for the enchiladas that are served Mexican style with sliced avocados and tomatoes on top, surprised me with that one, Im used to getting red sauce and cheese on top like all the others around town, sodas are served in cans, fyi.
Very good…..just took awhile to get food. Plan on going back
I give this a 2 because I was here like minutes ago and There way so much flies in my food and There were flies everywhere and The seats and tables were dirty and we had to wait for them to clean the table and they said they were busy but they werent they were just chitchatting I dont now about this😬
Food was good but service spoty
Came in here yesterday as a last resort to eat… my first red flag was the roaches outside crawling everywhere it’s pretty hot outside & it’s summer now so I didn’t think much about it.. we go inside sit down customer service was a negative 0.. we ordered a horchata & there was a ROACH INSIDE OF IT.. to not make a scene we just got up and left didn’t say anything, the lady follows us outside asking if we were gonna pay for the food or drinks mind you we haven’t even gotten our food yet, didn’t eat anything, and didn’t even drink that horchata so what exactly were we gonna pay …? For roaches in our drink hell no! I wish I took a picture but I was just so angry and disgusted I just wanted to leave & cry !!!
Ashley is the best! Food and drinks are amazing! You must go!
Best Steak Burrto in Cobb County. The asada is cooked perfectly, seasoned well and the queso generously tops it off. I have to add the red salsa, but BE careful it has a kick of a baby mule. If you dont like hot, try the green salsa. Lunch crowd isnt that bad. Can usually sit at the bar get prompt service. Hole in the walls always have the best food, maybe not the trendiest upscale decor. Definitely worth checking out.
They took to long to serve me and my food was cold I was there for like 40 to 50 minutes and my watermelon water was horrible
Took my family here for lunch and we all placed our orders. After 20 minutes of waiting we were told a story about why the waitress didnt put in our orders. Didnt get a chance to try the food. I was too upset to wait any longer. Beer was slightly chilled. Chips and salsa was decent. First time back here in a few years. Used to be very good.
I ordered 4 tacos, 2 steak, 1shrimp and 1chicken, with a side of pico de gallo, the ladies and the gentlemen that work there are so nice and friendly. I always get a hello or a smile when I come in to pick up my order. Whatever they use to make their salsaverde beware its spicy good, with just the right amount of heat. I love that. and the cooks are usually some women , so props to the cooks. you ladies rock. Now they have some outside red umbrellas for outside seating,I like that option.
Everything is delicious and decently priced. Authentic Mexican cuisine. Fav spot. Nice staff
The salsa is spicy, which I loveee and the ceviche was some of the best I’ve had in this area. Def will be coming back here for more tacos, also the prices are unbeatable
Good service and food and fair prices.A locally owned business with authentic food. You may have a better experience if you speak Spanish.
Excellent and authentic Mexican food. However would be nice if they moved to a larger area with more parking and better access. Glad they have vegetarian options - I usually get the huevos rancheros, its delicious
Food and service was amazing. The pork tacos and Chipotle chicken were on point!
My husband ordered a steak quesadilla to go. We got home and it had shrimp in it as well. He’s deathly allergic to shrimp so couldn’t eat it . I wish it had been listed on the menu as containing seafood
Tacos de tripa and de buche were delicious! My 8 year old had an egg burrito covered in cheese dip (special request and they delivered! And my 2 year old had grilled chicken and rice, the chicken was nicely cooked and very juicy.
Food quality has taken a step back here and it really is a disappointment since it used to be so good! Had to send back my chimichanga which is really unfortunate because it used to be out of this world... and they still charged me $6 for my Horchata... I just left mad and now Im leaving this review.
Horrible experience. The fact that this place has 4 stars is crazy to me. Took us 20 minutes to order and 30 minutes to receive only our DRINKS. We asked for NO pork on our meal twice and they still put pork in it. After I told her that we asked for no pork her response was “do you just want me to take it out”, not recook, just remove it from the plate. Just idiotic. To top it all of the food is so bland and the chips were stale. There are way too many options in that area to settle for this place!! I honestly don’t know how they’re still open. Terrible!!!!!!
Disappointed because we’ve been here before and it’s never been THIS bad.Sat ourselves and a young guy gave us the menus and walked away, the couple that arrived after us was served first and they were able to get their food in before we had even had a waiter come to serve us. Waited 51 minutes for our food. My boyfriend’s torta de pastor arrived first, then my side of rice and lastly my gorditas. His food was cold, I touched the pastor and it felt like it had just been sitting out for the longest. The rice was mediocre tasted like it had been reheated constantly. My gorditas were ok, the lengua didn’t taste like lengua so I took the meat out and had to just eat the rest with no meat. The best part was probably my tamarind jarrito.
My husband and I came to the restaurant for lunch. We both ordered chimichangas he had chicken I had seafood. When our meals came out mine was perfectly correct his on the other hand had a pool of grease beneath the chimichanga. This is when my rating goes completely down. When my husband brings to the the restaurants attention they will not remake him food or exchange it for another meal nor take it off the check. After my husband said I will not eat this please can you just remove it from my check they still forced us to pay for the mill and will not again allow you to substitute the meal for something else bad customer service. Its a mom and pops so we werent mad about our drinks not being refilled or as being attentive to in a time manner or that the food took so long come out. But when theres a pool of oil in the bottom of the burrito and your customer does not want to eat and consume that you should accommodate the customer.
I often want to Champion smaller restaurants especially local to my home but this experience was by far the worst experience Ive ever had in my 18 years in the restaurant industry. We waited about 40 minutes for our food after asking about it. Typically Im very patient. I did ask my waitress to ask the kitchen and they bought our food out in styro-foam to-go boxes. Not a big deal as Ive worked in the industry for several years and I understand they were getting busy but as I bit into my chimichanga there was a pool of Grease pictured. it was soaked in cold fryer oil.Came in with my wife for lunch around 1230 there were two people working the dining room, registers takeout, and Cashing Out customers. When we arrived there was only one other table in the restaurant, so it didnt seem busy. The waitress explained that they had a new cook so I wasnt super upset, just mildly annoyed I was on my 1 hour lunch break and it it now been 50 minutes and I hadnt eaten. I stood up trying to get her attention for 15mins while my wife ate, but they were busy. There I simply took the check waited several minutes to be cashed out ask the waitress if they could take my food off. she politely went to ask the manager or shift lead and which she replied that there was nothing she could do about the grease and that they try to drain it but she would not be taking my food off the check.I then asked could I have tacos instead as for now Im already late and Im very hungry they agreed but then instead Expediting my food an hour plus into eating lunch here I had to wait for several tables food to come out before my makeup meal at no point did a manager or cook even offered a empty apology. I felt like I wasnt welcomed or wanted there. I fell like it showed with how this was handled. She was willing to let me pay for food I couldnt eat.to my surprise the tacos were good once I got home and sat down to eat at 2 Im writing this review because I hope the owner or manager well see this and make Corrections not looking for any charity or handouts but again as a former restaurant manager of 18 years its really frustrating to see restaurants have this level customer service
Use to love this place now its horrible especially if your not Spanish speaking. I called in my order which is only 2 tacos with three ingredients lettuce, onion, and sour cream and they made my order 4 times and still couldnt get it right. Then the server gets mad at me because they continue to get my order wrong and I have been sitting going back and forward with him for 20 minutes. I finally gave up and left I rather spend my money where they value all customers not just spanish speaking customers.
Got the lunch special. Every one was so nice and the food came out fast, fresh, and delicious! Perfect cheap lunch spot! The hot sauce and homemade salsa will put your love of spicy to the test!
Absolutely great!!! If you really want authentic, this is the place. Service is too notch. Will continue returning.
Arguably the best tacos I’ve had in ATL. I used to live in Inman park, now in Buckhead. And I still make the 30 min trips to get their tacos. The salsa is hot and their hot sauce is even hotter without sacrificing flavor. Which I love.
Walked in to see a bunch of dirty tables. Asked for water with lemon, it tasted like it came out of a rusty pipe. Margarita was served in a broken glass. I havent gotten my food yet but so far we are off to a bad start. Bathroom smells of urine.Update: Steak Tacos are good. Margarita is excessively sweet. I went outside to smoke and came back to see a roach crawling on my seat. The servers English was hard to comprehend. House flies swarming my table...could it be because the door is propped open? The salsa is too hot which is a serious deal breaker. The dining room looks a little too weathered for any kind of romance. Server is very hard to find. You better make a list of everything you want, because once you get your food, you are on your own. I will also confirm the complaint of another reviewer...if you speak English here, you will not get the optimal experience. (if there is such a thing.)
This place was great in 2020 but when we ordered on phone in the 5/1 they keep putting us on hold later we went there we pick up the food and I look in my burrito it was just all meat and I didn’t ask for all meat and my mom had a lot a fat Grease on her food literally I will NOT take out or eat there for your own good in till they fix their
The "sopas de camarones" (shrimp soupis fantastic!!! Ive been to many Mexican restaurants, and its rare to be asked if I want my tortillas made fresh like they do here which is nice. Staff also super friendly. I do suggest if you are getting something To-Go call ahead. It can get very busy all of a sudden.
The chicken was very dry. Im from California Mexican food is huge in my familys life. We were unimpressed. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly but if u are truly a Mexican food fan. This is not the place.
I love the feeling of Mexico when you enter this quaint restaurant. Just had the fried fish and loved it.
This food is made to order and delicious. I ordered the chicken chimichunga and my Mom got the steak fajitas. (Yes, I still take my Mom to lunch once a week). The staff was friendly and patient as we placed our order. We didnt stay to dine in but even luke warm by the time we got home it was wonderful. We will definitely be back.
I really really like the food here & @ their other location, especially the mi taco dip with corn tortillas 😋 the reason for the rating tho is Bc of a. a price difference between the menu prices online (2 different ones - $6.50 & $7.50& the price I was charged, which was 8.99 on the in-store menu... but there was NO offer to correct it or anything at all. I was literally shrugged at & told oh well they can’t do anything... really professional... 🤨
Really awesome authentic gem. Small restaurant with great service. The day we went mid afternoon and had the place to ourselves before everyone started coming in. Tables practices social distancing. The food was delicious. The margaritas were freshly made, literally could taste the difference. Id advise anyone in the area or just visiting Gerogia/Atlanta area venture out and check them out!!!
Amazing service, always smiling and fast!!! The tacos (handmade tortillaare some of the best in the city, the guac is the most fresh & the choriqueso, wow!!! I have the access to the best restaurants in my area but this one easily tops most.
Great food. If you are not Hispanic MA have to wait long unless they know you or know you have money. Besides this discrimination you can get great service in actual food but if they think you dont have money its a hard dinner. But the food is better than employee. Even though employees are Pleasant if they know you have money. But with my experience people who have less money can be more giving because they know what it is to work for
Truly authentic Mexican food!! Recommend Tostada de Ceviche and tacos for all time favorites, but the carne asada plate is also delicious. I am a die hard Mi Taco fan since its opening in 2001. It has grown and blossomed into a community jewel. Highly recommended and affordable ❤
Ive been a customer for 5 years and Im utterly disgusted at the huge decline in customer service and the quality of the food. Recently, I ordered my meal over the phone and went to pick it up to be told that they are only accepting cash. I asked: why wasnt I notified when I called and why no one called me back to tell me to bring cash? I wasnt given an apology or reason. I tip 25% and higher every time I ordered here. Thus is the 2nd time this has happened.
There are a lot of options for Mexican food in Cobb County, but I rate Mi Taco of Marietta at the top of a very long list! The food is awesome—flavorful, filling, and never too heavy—and the service always delightful. You cant beat the price for such high quality fare. I stop by for tacos everytime Im in the neighborhood—I havent found better carne asada tacos!
First time visiting. Initial impression was that the food is a lot greasier than other Mexican restaurants in the area and was average from a taste standpoint. They did have a yummy salsa which was spicy and the portions and pricing were good.
Food is pretty good, and you get a good bit of it. Service isnt the best. Used to go often, but stopped for a while because of terrible bathroom smell in the main dining area. Tried it again after several months. They must have fixed/cleaned up the odor problem, but service was still lacking
I have been searching for a very long time to find a local taco shop that made tacos anywhere close to those that I ate will living in San Diego CA. And Mi Taco as done exactly that. The tacos were absolutely amazing, the staff very friendly. I will be making myself a regular customer. MUST TRY!!!!
The food was good but difficult to enjoy due to the lack of hygiene and customer service. Our server had 2 other tables and she kept forgetting things that were requested. She also cleaned off several tables with no gloves or washing her hands. When I completely lost my appetite was when she was cleaning a table and then remembered I asked for an extra bowl of salsa when I first sat down. So she told me she remembered and sets the dirty dishes behind the counter, grabs a salsa bowl, opens the fridge and pours my salsa.🤢 I was positioned right in front of the view of behind their counter. I cant eat there again.
I love this place. The food is great! Delicious! Ooooooh la la, may I continue?Cheese dip and salsa. 10/10.The music is good and I dont even speak spanish and the staff is great.I would rate 5 stars, but my only complaint...NO.SWEET.TEA.Nor is there fountain drinks..
I felt little pebble like particles in my mouth while i was drinking their horchata and then i open the cup to come and find out a thick layer of I don’t know what in the bottom of the cup 🤢🤮🤢🤮 i dont know what it was but it was DISGUSTING 👎🏽However i do like the carne asada burritos 🌯
I pass the joint on a regular base and never thought to venture in until one day when I went and washed my car at the Car Wash adjacent to the restaurant and it was a great little place. The tacos were off yummy and the staff were pretty friendly. I would recommend trying them out if you looking for a quick bite of Mexican food.
Excellent food at unbelievable prices. This place isnt the fanciest in the world and they arent aiming for that. They are aiming for good food that brings customers back and theyve succeeded. The staff is also super friendly and very good at making certain you have everything you need. Ive spent a lot of time out west and south near Mexico and have had what I believe is good Mexican food. This place is pretty on par. They have the usual options, homeade tortillas and you can still spend less than $10 before the tip. Ive been looking for any place I could consider a good Mexican restaurant since moving here, and this is as close as its come. The only drink options are beer though.
Will absolutely be back! The Tacos Pastor and sauces were delicious!
