Amaizing latin food, massive dishes been going to the old one and now the new one is great upgrade with the quality always distingue tha restaurant
Fantastic food!!! Friendly staff, great new shiny restaurant. We had a delicious huge meal and the lunch special is a great deal!!!
Fantastic. Service was friendly, the portions were VERY generous and the food was delicious. The empanadas were incredible.
Fantastic restaurant, with amazing service and delicious food. We had the traditional bandeja paisa and it was absolutely terrific. We had the pleasure of being served by Lalo himself, and both him and the entire team are so lovely.Overall, this was a superb experience, I truly cannot recommend this place enough. This is was our second visit and we will be going back many more times!
Had a lovely experience food was delicious and the waitress was really good 👍
Amazing atmosphere, passionate staff, really well priced! Empanadas, and Bandeja Paisa were 10/10
I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant ! You can tell the food was honest. The empanadas and sugarcane drink are a must ! I loved the sausage. The steak and pork belly were a bit over cooked but the flavours were there !
Followed the high rating to this place for my first meal in London.I arrived at midday to a nearly empty restaurant but it wasn’t long before people started packing it in.My Columbian friend back home recommended my menu choices and I wasn’t disappointed.A highlight was the fried banana and beans. The dessert was surprisingly nice too!I had:1x FRIJOLES CON CHICHARRÓN2x LULO1x AREQUIPE CON QUESOHighly recommended :)
Most of the food is nice but Im Colombian and I wouldnt say is 100% traditional. It is quite expensive for what you get and if you have small children with you theres isnt much you can offer them, there isnt a childrens menu at such. I would give it another star but our waitress was rude and not the friendliest either.
This restaurant is really interesting, very delicious food, good attention, it is a comfortable place, good service from the waiter, Andrés, I think his iname is, although the negative point is its price, prices are a bit high for a normal amount of food from another Latin restaurant in London where the price is perhaps cheaper but it is totally recommended to eat a delicious Colombian food
One of the best Colombian restaurants you can find in London. Food is really good and staff is so friendly. Highly recommended
Very nice food, very good menu, reasonably priced, very good and fast service, great decor and atmosphere. And authentic Colombian. Try the patacones con guacamole and the sobre barriga please. Huge portions too!
Amazing Colombian restaurant :)💛💙❤️Im from Colombia, and the flavours of the food remind me of my moms preparations.Muy auténtico y delicioso.
Absolute great experience overall! The service since I stepped in the restaurant was exceptional and very welcoming, and the food in general came in big potion. Very attentive waiters and food came very fast! Also very good for a budget, I was kind of confused when I didn’t see a service charge on the bill considering the exceptional service from the staff.
Oh yes! This is the spot to bring your Colombian friends for that authentic feel for sure!!!All your favourites on the menu, highly recommend the arepas and the steak here!!Completely brought my Colombian partner home for the evening. The staff are fab, the music is great and we will definitely be making this our go to spot when we visit London.
My favourite restaurant in London! The place is clean, the food is authentic, the ingredients are fresh, the prices are cheap and the staff are friendly. Highly, highly recommended!
This national dish, Bandeju Paisa, was such a belly-busting lunch with a mixture of food.Sausage was filled with mouth-watering spice.Plantain was like a combination with yam and, of course, banana.Pork belly reminded me my hometown roast pork belly.Cornbread was bland, but it should be eaten with other foods.A good dish for me who never tried Colombian food before.
Great staff, especially Viviana was wonderful. She welcomed us and look after us the whole time. Food was great also, especially the empanadas.
Have been here twice.Recommended by Colombian friend.First time we really liked our food, waitress forgot about our starters, which on other hand turned ok coz mains portion were generous.Second time dishes look nice however meat was overcooked and tough. Didnt enjoyed. At both occasions we had notice that spanish speaking customer were getting more attentive service then others. Which left us with a bitter taste. Probably wont be back.
By far the best Colombian food in London. If you are hungry and want a great feed with delicious authentic Colombian flavours and fantastic friendly service with a smile and a warm welcome you have to check this place out... one tip no reservations so get there early at the weekend...
Amazing place with the authentic Colombian flavour. Excellent quality and service. Very recommended. All starters, mains and drinks are very tasty.
The loveliest staff and the most delicious food! I cannot recommend the Empanadas and Oxtail enough! I have recommended this place to 3 people already!! I will be back!
Excellent food, very good service. Ideal for families with little ones.It has access and bathroom for wheelchair, as well has a nappy change thats great. The environment is very familiar and the staff is very nice.100% recommended.Tip: in weekends come early otherwise you will be waiting in the queue but it worth it.
If you are looking for a place to try a traditional Colombia food this is the place to go. Very welcoming staff team, fresh and tasty food, well made, the place is clean tidy, well climatized. It was a great experience. Please try the fried cassavas.
This restaurant was already my favourite place to eat in Brixton. And now, they found this new place, it is incredible. The old restaurant had been bursting at the seams. especially on Fridays because it was too small. The new restaurant is bigger and spacious with parking outside to collect your food. The quality of the food remains the same “yummy”.- this place is a true testament to Colombian delicacies. well done to Lalo and his team
This place is absolutely amazing. The service is excellent 10 out of 10 and the food is delicious, the presentation and the portion size incredible.Definitely coming back again soon.
Absolutely delicious and amazing service! Lalo is the nicest person, so attentive its definitely worth a visit if you want proper Colombian food.
Incredible Colombian food in London! The chicharrón is cooked to perfection and the steak had soooo much flavour. I cannot wait to return! Also the staff are lovely.
This was our first time in El Rancho De Lalo new venue, just wow many congratulations on your new wonderful looking restaurant, with a larger seating area clean well laid out we did not have to wait long despite being very busy, your food as always tastes absolutely amazing 😋 your staff were truly professional throughout our meal food arrived quickly and hot will definitely be back soon.
My friend convinced me to come along with her and try some Colombian food, and all I can say that I don’t regret it at all! It was all worth travelling all the way from West London 😊 the wait in a queue and food was worth every penny. The atmosphere was inviting and making you feel welcomed and happy. The owner of the restaurant, Lalo (probably one of the most positive people I’ve ever met), was very kind, professional and hard working,- he was very attentive to every single customer in the restaurant (and it was really busy). The staff members from kitchen and waiter team did an outstanding job! The food was delicious and the portions are huge (me and my friend ended up in food coma 😂), the menu is not overcrowded and very easy to choose what to eat. Also, I really liked the fact that if you cannot finish all food, they pack it for you to take home. I was really shocked how clean the place and the toilets were (probably because the customers were very polite and using common sense in terms of keeping public places clean as treating it like it would be their home). There was no litter found anywhere which makes a big change to your experience. Keep up the good work and I’m definitely coming back there again 😊If I could, I would give more than 5 stars ⭐️
Yes! This place is everything. The staff Is friendly and family-like . The owner is friendly ,cheerful Colombian man who usually stands by the entrance and friendly greets customers , if hes not doing this then hes helping serve or cook the food. The owner , Lalo, is definitely passionate about his restaurant and greets everyone as if family. The owners passion for the restaurant is definitely reflected in the food and Im not exaggerating, the food is amazing. Everything from the meat to the plantain down to the rice is full of flavour. Its one of those restaurants that make your mouth water just thinking about the food . Lastly, I think one of the things that make this restaurant really stand out from the usual Latin restaurants is the interior. You can see parts of South American culture covering the wall of the restaurant and one of my favourite features of their interior is the paintings. Definitely take a minute to admire the paintings.
We arrived here slightly late on a Friday but the staff were super kind and agreed to stay open longer as we’d travelled quite a way to visit. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were incredible, you are going to want to be very hungry when you visit! I’d highly recommend making the trip to Brixton to experience it.
Fantastic food and even better service. This is the place that you must visit if you are looking for a great meal, cook like at home with an even friendlier atmosphere. It is highly recommended for those that enjoy Latin flavours.
If you want to enjoy with your family a very nice Colombian food, this is the place! Everything is fresh.
Massive portions, really delicious food and fantastic, super nice and helpful staff. Definitely I can recommend this restaurant.
Amazing flavours and huge portion sizes. You definitely want to go there hungry! I had the Creole chicken which had a great sauce and really moist plantain. I added guacamole which was tasty. The dishes are around £14-16 and theres one veggie main which looked great.Lots of seating and great staff
This was my first time trying Colombian food and it didn’t disappoint! I opted for the chicken in creole sauce and my friend the mixed grill. Both were delicious. Friendly staff and great portion sizes. I’ll be back :)
This is the second time I come to this place and it never disappoints me.The food is amazing and such a good portion for a very good price. We Had the menu and we eatFor only 12 pounds, drinks included! The staff is also very nice. Will definitely keep coming back!!!
I went cause I was told this is the best Venezuelan place in London. It did not disappoint me.Go with an empty stomach because the portion sizes are enormous. Dishes come in great variety offering an assortment of meats, eggs your way, side of beans, rice avocado and salad. But what I really appreciated about the place is the service. Besides the fact that were quick they made an effort to find me a table despite the long cue of groups of people waiting for a table. The owner is very agreeable and seems genuinely caring of his customers experience.
The food is sooo good and the plates are giant! We had colombian cheese and empanadas as starter, then the breaded chicken and the steak and egg, and finished with douce de leche and cheese desert. They have colombian beers that are really worth trying. The team is very friendly. Bear with them as they dont speak perfect English but they will make you feel welcomed and looked after anyway. Highly recommended 👌
We ate so much for lunch! We had a "picada" and a "bandeja paisa". They are both basically the same dish but in the "picada" all the meats and steps come already cut in bite size. Portions are huge and profes are very accessible. Service was excellent.
Little cozy Colombian Restaurant in Brixton Village. Always nice to have lunch there. Food is Fresh and Yummy , Staff is very friendly and prices are very good specially over the week if you choose the menu’ of the day
The food tasted great and the staff were amazing. We got to sit outside so it was spacious enough as I have a baby in a pram. The food came quite quickly and the prices were reasonable. Thank you, I would definitely recommend!
Not large eating but comfortable. The food is delicious. Truly columbian style. Prices are also very reasonable. The staff? very nice customer service they speak English and spanish. Worth stopping by for a meal.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, Great portion of Colombian food. We shared two plates for three people which was good enough. I liked the Colombian kiwi juice!
Beautiful, authentic Colombian food, generous portions, with very friendly staff. Love it!!
Finally got to try this great Columbian restaurant in the village market right next to the yummy Caribbean restaurant, Wings and Tings. A long queue of Columbian people was a good sign that the place would be good and it did not disappoint! We had the chicken lunch special with a great warming soup, picada and bandeja paisa. The chicharron, fried plantain, beans and spicy salsa on the table were delicious. Also the sugar cane drink with lemon was refreshing.Friendly and attentive service, will definitely be back.
Great little foodie corner with delicious Colombian delights! The atmosphere is warm and relaxing full of nice spices smells.Food is absolutely delicious.I had a bug portion of fish soup and a traditional Colombian sausage and chips.Service is fast and very polite. This hiden gem of brixton proudly gets five stars not only because of the quality of food but also because of its amaizing low prices! Its one of the few places around that you can have a great lunch, served on a table and spend less than £10!!!And the more important.Having delicious food!Congratulations.Highly recommended!
Amazing delicious Colombian food! I brought my Colombian American family when they visited me and we all loved it. The customer service is great everyone is friendly and caring. The music selection is on point. Their new Gelateria/Cafe across from the restaurant is so cute and yummy as well. The portions are traditional sizes and worth every penny DELICIOUS LOVED IT
Fantastic authentic Colombian food. Cash only. Best pork belly I ever had.Best approach I found was to order a mix of starters as a main meal. I had fried ripe plantain, fried egg, avocado, empanada and pork belly. Chopped up and mixed the egg with avocado and the table sauce. It was all very tasty!
