All the facilities are there, but there are obvious evidence of under-usage and poor maintenance

Es un hotel normal.Para empezar noa ofrecieron un servicio de traslado desde el aeropuerto más caro que si coges un taxi desde el aeropuerto.Las habitaciones están bien: cama cómoda, refrigerador bueno, tele de plama con usb, armario grande.El baño está muy bien bien, con buena ducha aunque el agua se sale fuera a veces.Pasan todos los días a hacerte la cama.El desayuno es buffet libre aunque solo tienes 4 platos a elegir (espero que te gusten los espaguetis), si se acaba el pan no lo reponen.La mayoría del personal es muy majo, especialmente Lamin, el jardinero. Los chicos de rececpción se toman todo con mucha calma.Recomendaría el hotel si buscas algo normal.

Selten ein so heruntergekommenes Hotel gesehen!!! Zwangsübernachtung, weil das Flugzeug von Brussels Airways einen Defekt hatte. Eine Unverschämtheit die Passagiere hier einzuquartieren!!!!!

It’s lovely and beautiful the food and service are excellent.

Le circostanze dellalbergo sono scarse. Ho potuto parlare con il proprietario e ho potuto dare un qualche consiglio per potenziare un miglioramento. Forse sarebbe un ottima idea di integrare una persona europea nei servizi che oermette a percepire i european idee. Vado comunque, perche mi interessa se svolgono cambiamenti per rendere i clienti felici. Grazie per la conversazione con il proprietario. Lho apprezzato. Il personale e davvero gentile e sempre solare, gentile e disponibile. Un tip, la gente apprezza molto se regalate vestiti o scarpe anche magliette grosse.

Very friendly staff, cant do enough for you.

Place is a nice and calm place located in one of the busiest tourist areas in Gambia. Cool rooms but can be improved especially bathrooms, it takes time for water to drain and no hot water. Some of the staffs are welcoming especially the receptionist but the restaurant attendants are not. You can call them several times no answer and if they do no time to listen to your orders. Not a lot of them wear nose masks which is disturbing around this pandemic era. Manageable place I think but can be awaken as a sleeping giant, they can do better especially with restaurant services.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this place. With so much potential and yet werent able to meet our basic requests like fixing a clogged shower drain. There was no hot water for showers etc. Our check in was excellent and the front office staff and also the house keeping lady were great. Thats all the good. The rest was not good at all.

Nice and quiet.

Habitación confortable, buen desayuno, pero celebran bodas con música muy alta. En nuestro caso la boda empezó a las 9 de la noche de un domingo (2 de enero 2022aproximadamente y el ruido intenso se prolongó hasta más de las 12 de la noche. Luego hubo petardos. Imposible dormir, al día siguiente madrugamos y no pudimos dormir a la hora que queríamos.

TERRIBLE CHOICE. AT NIGHT THEY MAKE CELEBRATIONS (WEDDINGSAT THE MAIN GARDEN. NO POSIBLE TO SLEEP. THE MANAGER DIDNT GAVE ANY SOLUTION. DONT LOSE YOUR TIME, CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL

Hotel má ideální pozici a pokoje jsou hezké. Internet by mohl být rychlejší, ale k čemu vám je, když jste blízko pláže :-.

A decent hotel

Bom, acessível e bem localizada. O único problema é que a conexão da internet é muito pobre, principalmente nos quartos.

Wifi quasi inexistant, taxe supplémentaire de $10 par nuitée en cas de paiement par carte bancaire.

Simple for the budget traveler with lots of options of where to eat. In the process of giving it a facelift after the long covid-19 induced lull in business.

Metzy resident is a place to be.Just explore your journey and have a free mind and free Wifi.

I dont know much just attended a days workshop

Not bad pool must be cleaned regularly and curb d mosquito situation there apart from that great place nice services and nice ppl

A good place to hold corporate events

Spotty Internet connection. The breakfast is poor, the design of the rooms is not modern nor efficient (plugs positioning, bathroom, etc.). Most personnel do not wear masks, violating an essential rule in these pandemic times.

A very clean Hotel with friendly staff. Toilets/bath rooms are not well illuminated and ceramice are not white so one hardly know if they are clean or not.

A bit worn out

I’ve never been there yet, but I spoke with one of their managers, and they seems to be very reliable in communication.

Onze 2 kinderen van 12 en 5 hebben 4 dagen in een 1 persoonsbed moeten slapen na 4 dagen hebben we onze gids meegenomen naar het hotel en was het bed direct op onze kamer. Onaangekondigde feestjes tot 5u smorgens met kei luide muziek. Dag erna trouwfeest, ontbijt 2 dagen geen boter, confituur beschikbaar. Ook geen ijs gedurende de 12 dagen dat we er waren. Kakkerlakken in het hotel, ook in de slaapkamers.

I stayed at Metzy for a work trip and enjoyed my stay. All of the staff were friendly although some of the restaurants that they recommended were not very good. The Metzy restaurant was also usually delicious and they were happy to fix orders if food wasn’t to my liking. Nice pool, and there were many events going on during my stay which I enjoyed. Overall a great experience.

Goed gelokaliseerd hotel vooral voor packagetours. Bij het inchecken werd ons gevraagd of we meer dan vrienden waren (in Gambia staat levenslange gevangenisstraf op homoseksualiteit). WiFi op de kamer is goed, bed slaapt prima en is schoon. Ondanks dat je minstens 3 keer per dag gestoord wordt door schoonmaak is de rest niet schoon, ik trof een geplette kakkerlak op de badkamerspiegel welke gedurende het gehele verblijf bleef. Slecht over kamer nagedacht; stroom gaat van koelkast bij verlaten kamer en ingebouwde föhn heeft een andere stekker dan op het stopcontact past. Geen theezakjes oid op de kamer en vieze glazen. Airco lekt in het electronisch systeem. Ontbijt is vol ongeïnteresseerd personeel, beperkte variatie en beide na een dag diarree. Uitzicht op een vuilnisbelt, rook je gelukkig niet. Zwembad ziet er goed uit, meubilair echter aan vervanging toe. Vele restaurants in de omgeving en strand is 3 min lopen.

Nice and helpful staff. Amazing food and large rooms

I stayed for more almost 3 months in this hotel end of last year and here are my reviews:- Very friendly and helpful staff.- The hotel owner Mr Dabo has been very flexible and understanding regarding all our requests. He was very busy with the opening but always had some time to listen to our feedback.- Perfect location, 2mn by walk from the beach and many restaurants around (I recommend the pizzas at Luigi Complex). By taxi you are 5mn far from the center (Senegambia stripand all its animations.- Hotel is brand new. Rooms are very luxury, spacious and well organized. They are kept very clean by the staff everyday.- Internet was quite reliable compared to African standards, they even connected the fiber at the end of my stay. Very strong signal.- They have a generator insuring electricity when you have general power cut (quite often in Africa).- The water of the pool is maintained in a very well condition (clear and bright at anytime).- The only bad point was the sound-proofing of the rooms... I hope this has been fixed in the meantime! If this is fixed the Metzy hotel is in my opinion one of the best in town.I would definitely go back to the Metzy Residence Hotel as soon as I come back to Gambia!All the best to the full hotel team,Loyce

Nice rooms but staff are mostly confused about services its better for a long time stay

Poor service and the food was not so good either. The start didnt care about us, they brought the lunch but didnt serve us.

Reasonable facilities and very clean. Friendly staff and helpful. Good location, close to plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the beach is 2 minutes walk.

Rooms equipped

Ok, it’s a 4 stars hotel but you cannot expect that means the same of a topical European standard, that’s part of the game here.So, keep your expectations at a high-medium range and everything will be perfect: good services, good breakfast, very good room, staff people are really kind, so... I’m satisfied and it worths the price.
