La Catedral de San Luis Rey is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. I recently attended Mass there. The volunteer was a little too generous with the hand sanitizer when I approached the altar for Communion. Communion wafers dont taste very good to begin with. When the Communion wafers have hand sanitizer on them, they are even worse. On the bright side, I think it is impossible to contract COVID in this cathedral.

I attended mass here although its all in Spanish. Very solemn and I like the atmosphere inside. Its really like the church of the old days. Amazing. I noticed that there are beggars sitting at the back as well as around the vicinity of the church. There are tourist buses outside if you want to tour the city. Its also close to shopping areas, pharmacies and government buildings.
