Great service and prices. Highly recommend

Very good restaurant specializing in Puerto Rican and Cuban cuisine. Menu is a little pricey and service is very good.

My last three visit they have forgotten to include part of my order. Im staying at one of the surrounding hotels, it is very inconvenient to walk back over there at night to retrieve the rest of my order.

I love this place with all my heart.

Great experience at this restaurant. Outstanding customer service by a waiter named Jose. Then the food was serve very fast and with excellent taste. Higly recommended. Enjoy.

I had the churrasco with white rice, sweet plantains, and black beans and oh my goodness was that combination heaven! I included all four components in every bite and I followed it with nom nom noms every time! The ceviche is also very delicious but should be shared as it is a large portion.

Excellent place to eat. The ambience, the quality of the food and the employees are great. I recomend the Bistec de Palomilla, Tortilla Española, Rice and Beans and amarillos... not all at once, hahahaha.

Metropol was a great place to dine and enjoy time with family and friends. The food was great, drinks were awesome, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Food was absolutely yummy! According to a native, it was a good introduction to Puerto Rican cuisine. This location is also part of a very cool convention center with live music, a bunch of places to hangout, and a huge fountain to enjoy for that after-dinner stroll.Staff was very nice and definitely on island time. (Note: Im from DC so I have no patience. ;))

We have been lunch on Tuesdays at Metropol in the Sheraton for more than a year. My husbands favorite food is the beefsteak with onions. About a month ago after our lunch there he got sick and vomited all the food at home. The following week we went to the Sheraton Hotel and my husband stopped by the restaurant and told the manager there, a lady with blond hair, about his problem and to check the food in the kitchen. Today after a month we went for lunch and my husband ordered his favorite food. He started to eat the beefsteak and it was hard and with tendons. He called the waiter and told the problem. He came back with the manager, Miss Joanna. My husband asked her to change the meat but she said it was no used because all the meat was from the same piece and suggested chicken and something else. I cant believe that you only had that bad kind of meat and that all was the same.

Very bad experience. Ordered “canoa de plátano” (plantain canopy with beef), white rice, beans and fries. The plantain canopy was totally undercook and cold in the inside, the beans were reheated and the rice overcooked. The server never came to my table to ask if my food was ok. I ended explaining my situation to another server. My original server just came to request the full payment and the tip.

The food was good, but the service was lacking. We tipped the waiter 10%, when the receipt only showed 15% and above. We paid in cash and told the waitress to keep the rest (which was like $8). After a bit the one in charge of the waiters dares to come to our table, review our payment with us and asked us in a arrogant and demanding manor if we wanted to complete the tip for the 15%. When he first came we thought it was cause we didnt pay the right amount, but turns out he came to us because we didnt leave enough tip for the waitress. Not to mention that one of their employees helping our waitress threw our plates (not literallyon our table. The audacity of that guy to ask us for more money is not a proper conduct of someone who wants to be tipped 15% and it is not an obligation to tip the waiter nor be forced to pay any of the percentages in the receipt. I chose what to give the waiter based on service and this situation made me want to tip her less. So if you do go to the restaurant, go for takeout cause the food comes out earlier than if you dine in and better service. Also no need to tip if its takeout so if they ask you say no.

In my opinion i would recommend do not order take out from this restaurant it was very slow, cold, over cooked and extremely salty. The chicken is over salted and does not match picture- i received no vegetables with the sautéed chicken. Rice and beans have sausage which was not clear. extremely sad and wasteful we threw the food in the garbage. We cannot eat pork, also, the tostones were old/cold/ rock hard . And the chicken was salty and chewy from overcooking . Also packaging is extremely wasteful with many large plastic containers. Side of plantains is only three small cuts. There was issue with every single item in order

Beautiful and and great place for any time of gathering, the staff is amazing and very friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating. If it wasnt for some of the steep prices I will definitely give 5 stars but if you have the money to spend this a very good place to spend it. Ill definitely recommend this place to book any time of event.

Best Metropol Restaurant. Excellent service great food. I had the “ Aguacate relleno de pulpo” the octopus was really good and tasty. The server Edna was very friendly and polite. Highly recommended.

We tried this restaurant for the first time! It was great! Staffs sre very attentive, food is great. My daughter loves it as well!

We ate our first meal here after a touchdown in Puerto Rico and truly enjoyed the hospitality. The food came in a bit slow but was very good. We ordered the shrimp criollo which was very tasty, fish tacos, cheese balls, sausage in wine, and the meal of the day being the fish nuggets. We fell in love with fried plantains and the black bean soup. Will have another meal before we leave because we absolutely loved it. The server was very warm and welcoming

The food became ok compared to other times I came hereThe rice was not cook, taste the uncool rice like I have sand in my mouth.Special of the day pork chop was terrible. The pork chop shrink to a toddler size mess and over burn. The bone was burn to the points the bone break once I pick it up.Over all disappointing with my family meal. It’s. It a place I consider wanting to return.

This restaurant had tasty, fairly priced food. The portions were very large. I ordered the Cuban feast, which was slightly different from actual Cuban food but very good. My husband got the pork Mofongo which he enjoyed.

I got the fish tacos and flan. They were both awful :( The flan tasted like the freezer and was not smooth or creamy. The fish tacos had so much cheddar cheese on them I couldnt even finish them. It was disappointing because it was our last meal in PR.

Great restaurant, the food is really good and the service is spot on! If you go to San Juan near the Convention Center, please dont forget to visit this establishment.

Food is good, but service is painfully slow. Otherwise would give 5 stars. Expect to wait 45 minutes no matter how early you arrive. And call ahead for reservations? Forget it. No one answers the phone. But the food really is good. The can-can pork chop is tremendous. Tostones and rice, very authentic.

Was staying at another hotel and had spent the day touring. Decided to order through Uber Eats. This place was listed so Decided to take a chance. Was completely satisfied with the meal. Ordered the chicharrones de Pollo, lomilla salteado a la Cubana and empanadillas. Wow...was stuffed and satisfied.

I had the skirt steak while visiting Puerto Rico 2 months ago and just could not stop thinking about it. Literally it was keeping me up at night just thinking about the taste and counting down the days until I could have it again. So here I am, 2 months later back in Puerto Rico and Metropol was my 1st stop for dinner. I had to have that skirt steak. My husband had the Chicken Milanese. We both loved our meals. Also, make sure you ask for the Mayo/ketchup/garlic sauce. #Delicious

They have a good mixture of Spanish, Cuban and Puerto Rican food. I tried the caldo gallego and Cuban tamal en hoja. Both were good. Service was responsive and attentive as well.

Had the alcapurrios and the mofongo with churrasco. It was pretty good but not as good as the mom and pop shops you find down town. The staff were nice and very attentive.

All I can say is O MY GOD!!!Great food and our server was the bomb ( I forgot her name). Sweet knowledgeable and fast.Had the Can Can Pork chop, The Fish Stew and El navideño. The only thing missing was the blood sausage.

Very nice hotel. The casino is a bit small but the locals like it. Poker isn’t a thing till the weekends. They have a live band too.

Good cuban restaurant. Excellent service and nice menu. Some cuban classics I had ordered was a huge plate. I was not able to finish half of it - it is like 3 meat options and 3 sides in one plate. The prices were also fair. Probably one of the best options to eat in that area.

I loved the food here. I ate at the bar and the bartender forgot to bring my croquettes and I got them after I ate. I ate them cold for breakfast. Still, they were supposed to be my appetizer. I also ordered tostones. I never saw them. There are cheaper places but if you dont want to leave the hotel, it is great.

Loved the food. They had baccalaito(cod fishpotato croquettes that were delicious! The grilled chicken with rice and yellow plantains (madurowere so good as well. Very clean and super service.

I ordered the fresh fried snapper. Ive never had it before so I was pretty surprised at what I ordered when it arrived. Thankfully the surprise was a pleasant one. The food was good and the server was very attentive.

Metropol has excellent food, the service is good. I like have lunch or dinner in this place.

Pros:Our waitress Michelle was great, and very pleasant and wait staff was attentive. Its inside the Sheraton hotel so its easy to find. Clean with modern decor and food was priced right for nice portions. Everything taste great overall. The bar looked fully stocked, and has a nice wine selection. Cons: salad was dry, chimi churi sauce was to thin. The restrooms may have been maintained by hotel and could use a little cleaning.

A bit pricey.. The Mofongo was OK. Seemed to be lacking flavor though. Very quick service but I went early.

Absolutely loved , food was outta this world.our waiter Mario was so professional and patient. Because this was our first time here, we were undecided on what to order. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and I was very impressed. Will definitely return before our trip is complete
