Oh how I love this beautiful restaurant. This was our second time coming here and I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it always is. No matter what you order it’s going to be outstanding. The scallops were absolute perfection and so rich. The potatoes were so cheesy. The crème brûlée has chunks of chocolate in it and is honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.The sangrias were EXCELLENT. I tried the strawberry and the peach! It’s a beautiful place, elegant, romantic. The service is top notch.
MoreThis is a great place to go if you are looking for Spanish tapas style meals. We were able to sit outside because the weather was unusually warm (added to the ambiance). My date and I share a number of different tapas meals, they were all wonderful. If you like whiskey old fashion they make great ones!
MoreThe food was awesome and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable pricing. We definitely ordered more food than we needed. Went there for our anniversary and will go back again soon. We had 2 beers, top shelf gin, 6 small plates and dessert (hazelnut flanfor about $75 per. We could have removed 2 plates.
MoreWe had a great time at my husbands birthday dinner last night. My daughter who has a palate of an experienced adult even loved everything we had. My son who is a picky eater was able to get delicious chicken tenders and fries. Food was amazing, atmosphere and history of the location was enticing and our server, Steve, was top notch. This was not our first visit but the service from Steve just added to the experience. Definitely get reservations tho!
MoreIts a beautiful restaurant to go to on a special day (or any day)! We loved everything we tried here..tapas & sunday buffet, and of course, sangrias.
MoreWe were promptly greeted and seated within minutes of our arrival. Our server was pleasant, polite, and very knowledgeable. Both of our dinner selections were prepared to perfection and delicious! An error on my part was quickly resolved to our satisfaction by the manager. We celebrated our anniversary and were very happy with the whole experience.
MoreWhat a wonderful place! The house is so cool. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! I can’t wait to go back. Kudos to the entire staff - all very friendly, thoughtful and hard working! Steve our waiter is quite a good singer - maybe he’ll sing a request - an added benefit to the entire experience!
MoreGreat place for tapas I highly recommend it. Dont feel obligated to get the sangria, theyre mixed drinks are also great. Food is amazing too, highly recommend the paella too.
MoreAbsolutely fantastic, beautiful restaurant. Love the tapas style servings - great way to enjoy dinner with friends. Service was exceptional and the food outstanding. What took me so long to get here?! Be back soon!
MoreBeautiful grounds and banquet hall for a wedding party/reception. The food was excellent and the service was quick without being intrusive. Two bars made it easy to get drinks. Highly recommended!
MoreThis restaurant never disappoints! The food is exquisite, the service is exceptional and the ambiance is unmatched. We got married here and come back every year to celebrate our anniversary. Its so thoughtful that they give us an anniversary champagne toast. Its the little ways that they go above and beyond that make dining here so enjoyable. If you love tapas and are looking for a classy, elegant dinner in a breathtakingly beautiful setting, Mesón Sabika is the perfect spot!
MoreOn a nostalgia trip to my former home-town last week -- I invited my family to share in a most delightful meal. Everything was delicious -- I am familiar with Spanish cuisine from former trips to Spain -- I would say that their offerings compare very well with what I have eaten there. We had the Peach Sangria, a series of the Tapas plates which we shared among us and finished off with the skirt steak -- which was an excellent choice -- tender, juicy, perfectly done. I wish I could visit more often, but a 1,000-mile distance is no help at all for that wish.
MoreFood is good, but service is lackluster. They make you feel like a number here, and push you to finish quickly. It even says on the menu that customers cannot spend over two-hours here. And they jam people into the rooms and jam the tapas onto your table. Our wine was not refilled, and a bottle of water is placed on the table. In short, the service falls well short of what one expects in such a place.
MoreI cant overstate how wonderful this restaurant was. We took my mom for her birthday and it was perfect! Their outdoor seating is just out of this world. They have a LOT of seating, and we were on the brick patio just off the main building. It was beautiful- the property as a whole is like something out of a fairytale. There are flowers EVERYWHERE. The menu is enormous- our server, Steve, was absolutely fantastic! The menus are paper so he marked his suggestions (many of which we tried.Honestly there wasnt a single disappointing item! I guess most of Steves section had a birthday going on, so he did 1 song for everyone rather than one at each table- he is actually a really decent singer too! Since it was a birthday we had dessert even though we were stuffed. They did a birthday dessert in addition to what we ordered. It was rather pricey, but we were there to celebrate so we werent watching the prices like we might normally. We will certainly be back!
MoreFabulous food, service and surroundings!! ❤️Nothing like it, anywhere. We celebrate family birthdays, anniversaries and when out of town guests come too. We try to dine outdoors on their large deck, so much fu. Spanish tapas to share, Sangria everything is outstanding. The owner is very philanthropic he cares about others
MoreWhat is with the paella here? It was dry and cold, the veggies and shrimp were almost raw, and there was zero flavor. So disappointing. We had a large party of 9 including out of town guests. They seated us in the very first room 10 feet from the front door. Youd think theyd put a large party in a nice room towards the back, but very little makes sense here. And that front room smells so bad, I think its coming from the carpet! When I asked the waitress if she had room somewhere else, she acted like Id asked her for a kidney. If you want your guests to question your taste, bring them here!
MoreThe drink are nice and the food is good. We had some cold tapas and were tasty and them beef was good too. Kids liked their food. The only thing I expected a different paella. The tomatoes in it were sour therefore changing its taste. Was better after I took all tomatoes out. Even with reservation had to wait about 30 min so definitely should work on that.
MoreReally nice place for a fancy dinner or lunch. The mango sangria was really good. The tapas sizes are pretty small. We didn’t like the cold tapas a lot. I have never had a cold omelet so it was weird. I wouldn’t recommend the cold tapas. However, the hot tapas were really good. We were 4 people and we had 5 tapas but were still a little hungry. It helped to have Paellas. Although we did place it earlier because it takes about 45 minutes for them to make it. Overall I would say that’s it’s worth trying it. Just a little expensive.
MoreFoods are great, especially I really enjoyed seafoods cold dishes. Serving was great. Thank you, Steve. It was for my birthday, and got this cute ice cream cake. Thank you. I truly enjoyed everything. My son said tha he wants his birthday dinner here too. lol
MoreI had wanted to go to this restaurant for years… finally I was able to go , the ambiance and eating by and viewing the surrounding garden was great and honestly what made this a unique experience. The sangria was delicious and the dates covered in bacon were very unique. The food overall was good . The salad was deliciousAnd the puff pastry was ok . Overall it was a nice experience the manager was very welcoming. Definitely need a reservation.
MoreMeson Sabika NEVER disappoints. Their grounds are beautiful. Everything is manicured. It compliments the excellent food they serve here. At the center is a civil war era house where one can dine indoors. But during the warmer months, their patio is absolutely excellent. Their food selection is amazing and everything we have ever ordered from there has been absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend their sangria to start things off. From there, you will have an extensive menu to choose from including entrees and tapas. Go there and enjoy.
MoreThis place is spacious and looks fabulous. We sat outside. Ordered 7 tapas - crab, stuffed mushrooms, skirt steak, grilled chicken skewer, beef tenderloin skewer and grilled calamari. Everything tasted good. We wanted to order the chocolate cake but they were out. Instead ordered the pecan cheesecake. It was good.
MoreAlways a delight to be here. Amazing amazing food. Don’t miss the deserts. Adding pictures for deserts to reinforce lol.
MoreSuch a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous gardens surrounding the building.I had salmon with lemon sauce. It came with slivered vegis and was delicious. It was a small portion, but very good. Next time, I will get some sort of potato dish to go with the meal.Would be a beautiful location for a party or a wedding. Very attentive staff. Building was very clean and well maintained.I had a couple glasses of white sangria and they were very good.A bit pricey, but the experience is worth the cost.
MoreGreat food and great service. Dinner service has a break in between lunch service and the seating is nice an cute. The atmosphere is that of someones home and this restaurant is huge and great for a party. The restaurant has a 2 hour max on tables and I can understand why! You feel right at home and the staff are so welcoming you can just sit and talk the day away! Definitely a must go see and eat!
MoreOverall, a nice dining experience. The restaurant has lots of outdoor dining space along with the indoor seating. Definitely make a reservation as the place tends to get packed on nice evenings, making walk-ins difficult. There aren’t an abundance of vegetarian options, but they do have a handful that you can choose from. In terms of taste, I felt the food was exactly the same as other tapas restaurants in the greater Chicago area. Still, if you’re new to eating this type of food… you may enjoy it immensely. Just remember, small plates for sharing means you should probably order 2 plates per person and be okay.
MoreThis place was great! Food was amazing!!! Drinks as well. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We look forward to going back. Still have so many menu items to try! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
MoreGreat food and excellent service. Stopped for lunch. Had fettuccine w shrimp. So good 😋🤤. My friend had filet sliders w horseradish sauce and fries 🍟. Alex was our waiter on the patio. Such an excellent server. 👍👌✨. Beautiful facility and beautiful setting
MoreThis place just look like a palace. We sat outside instead so that we could immersed in the sunshine and enjoyed the nice weather. All the meals were great except for the paella. When going to an upscale restaurant, what you will do is try to compare the one of the best for the certain dishes from your memory. This paella was far more behind comparing to the paella in Boqueria. But other than that, it is just a great reactant that I will recommend to everyone if they by change travel to Naperville.
MoreAwesome experience!! We sat on the patio, it was the perfect weather for it. The food was fabulous, we must have had 2/3 of the menu. Our kids were with us, the ran and played by the front courtyard for hours. Loved it!
MoreMy husband and I came here for our anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish we had was prepared very well. Our server was fantastic, the atmosphere was great. We also got a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary. It was a really enjoyable night and I would definitely come back here again for another romantic dinner.
MoreBad service. Our server forgot the paella we ordered when we first arrived. He waited until we were done with our tapas and drinks to come back and assumed we were wrapping up. We let him know about the paella, and he had a look on his face and surprised reaction like he completely forgot. He did not acknowledge he forgot and still charged us for it. We watched him give service to all of the tables near us who came after us but for some reason he didn’t follow up with us. The paella was finally brought out almost an hour and a half after ordering it. By the way there were only a few groups there. It was in the middle of the afternoon in the middle of the week, so it was not busy. On top of the poor service, the food did not taste like authentic Spanish cuisine whatsoever. The paella was lacking in flavor with boiled, tasteless veggies on top. I’ll give it two stars: one for the beautiful grounds and one for the tasty Galician beer and cider we had.
MoreGreat place for tapas, hot and cold with so many options. Food is good. Paella is delicious. The environment is of great vibe.
MoreSimply great food and beautiful venue. No wonder its a local favorite. The description of "A Taste of Spain" captures their food well. I particularly enjoyed the tapas style food where we get to try different dishes. Seriously everything is DELICIOUS here, especially the seafood dishes, they were done so so well!Among our orders, the standouts were:- Pollo al Curry. Chicken curry salad with red grapes and celery. Initially I was skeptical about this but it sounded weird- Paella Mariscos. Saffron rice and shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, and octopus. Everything you want and all the goodies in one dish!!- The scallops looks amazing and melts in your mouth!
MoreExcellent food, romantic atmosphere, great wait staff, delicious drinks. One of the best places for a date night highly recommend!!
MoreFirst time at Mesón Sabika, we came to celebrate our Anniversary and it will definitely not be the last time we come here. The food was delicious, the service superb, the ambiance perfect. We ordered cold and hot tapas, I believe we ordered 6 tapas and that was a lot for two people. We also had dessert and they gave us a complimentary Prosecco to accompany our dessert. I highly recommend Mesón Sabika for a special occasion. I know there is a lunch and brunch menu, we’ll have to try it before I comment on those. Our server Andres was very nice and helpful. I loved that he took the time to mail a Thank You card to our house, that detail alone made Mesón Sabika an extra special restaurant.
MoreNew Years Prix Fixe Dinner was great. The meal was a good experience. The pheasant was a bit gamy, but the rest were good. The ambiance of the mansion was a perfect way to celebrate the last day of the year.
MoreThe country house exterior was very unique. The property in general looks very classy, as well as the interior setting.Great tasting tapas once inside.
MoreThis restaurant is definitely the best one Ive been to in 20years of my life here in US. Flavors, textures of food plus the beauty of restaurant inside and out - simply exceptional👌p.s. my boyfriend is not an easy one to please🤫 He wont ever waste the food but wont say much either if its "just" good. But this time he wouldnt stop talking about it
MoreMy first time trying Spanish food and it did not disappoint! The food here is freshly made and the different flavors are so great. We got an assortment of small plates and the seafood paella. Our server was very friendly and really made our experience memorable. Will be coming here again soon! The bacon wrapped dates are delicious🙌🏽🙏🏽🔥
MoreGreat food and drinks. We ordered several items of the hot tapas and cold tapas menu. All were very good. We each had a dessert item as well. We ordered a pitcher of their prickly pear sangria and it was very refreshing and not strong. Staff is very nice and attentive. Definitely look forward to returning. One of Napervilles top restaurants in my opinion.
MoreAmazing tapas and sangria keep me coming back to this top 50 USA restaurant. Food is delicious and it’s fun trying a new plate with each visit. The outdoor summer ambience is great.
MoreCelebrated our five year wedding anniversary here. We had hoped to go to Spain to celebrate this milestone, so this was a good alternative! The wine was so good and the tapas were unique and delicious. The waitress was very kind and even gave us some champagne to toast for our anniversary. We have been very cautious this whole pandemic - so it was nice to see that we could check in outside and then go right to our outdoor table.
MoreWent to Masón Sabika last month for brunch with the family. This is a tapas restaurant which is very unique for the area. The actual restaurant is an old 2 story Victorian style house with a rustic atmosphere. EVERY single item on the menu was full of different flavors and plated to perfection before arriving at the table. Service is top notch and they make sure your experience is perfect.
MoreGreat place! The restaurant is very unique and beautifully decorated indoors and out. Staff is always present and very sweet. Food was amazing! All the dishes tasted perfect. 10/10 can’t wait to be back.
MoreThey were full on a Friday evening but made room for us at the bar. Glad they did because the bartender was an excellent waiter plus we got our drinks fast! Great food with lots of variety. Recommend.
MoreHavent been here for a few years, so I was really excited to come back. It wasnt too busy when we went around 5PM in a Saturday so we got to eat outside at the patio. Our server Matt made excellent recommendations on the drinks/tapas/entrées! Just a beautifully place to have a nice dinner; great ambience, delicious food, and excellent service.
MoreWe have been trying to go eat at this restaurant for years. This is a happening place where you will have hard time to get a table, even on Tuesday, if you do not make reservations. This restaurant is located short drive from the river walk in Naperville. The restaurant looks like a big residential house converted to restaurant. They have big banquet hall and nice big garden area outside.Inside the restaurant each room is labeled in different Spanish names, and they have huge outdoor dining area. They have large variety of hot and cold tapas. We tried several hot tapas to share amd really liked the following:* Pollo a Limon, which is soft chicken with very flavorful lemon sauce.* Pincho de Solomillo, beef tenderloin skewer rolled in cracked black pepper. The beef was very tender with good spice.* Queso de Cabra: Oven-baked goat cheese in tomato basil sauce, served with garlic bread. Not a big fan of goat cheese but the tomato sauce and the garlic bread with olive oil and parsley mix was delicious. We also tried but did not hit the mark* Vegetariana Paellas, only the rice was good. I have had better.* Col de Brusela, the brussels were too hard and had to send it back to the kitchen* Champiñones Rellenos, was average.* Remolacha, the golden beet was not very good and the red beets could be softer.* Sangria was watered down with a lot of ice.The service here was very slow. Our server only came a few times and we had to keep asking other servers for water or extra napkins. He ask if we wanted dessert and then disappeared for 10 min without taking our order.Overall it was a let down from the high expectations we had.
MoreHad a great outdoor dining experience for my birthday. It was bustling on a Wednesday night! The tables indoor and outdoor are well spaced so it doesnt feel crowded. Our server, Matt, was friendly, attentive, and very helpful with the extensive menu. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! So many great options! The wine and cocktail options had several options as well. Cant wait to go back again this summer.(Note: In the photos, we brought the funny straws. Drinks did not come with them.😄)
MoreThis truly is the epitome of all things Spain. I was reminiscing with all the foodie items and the way the restaurant looks inside (decor-wisefrom the time I studied abroad in Spain. The staff is so welcoming, followed all kinds of sanitary instructions by covid, and the food did not disappoint! I’ll definitely be coming back!!
