Mesón 42 - Traditional restaurant in A Coruna, Spain
Excellent food, well presented and served with a smile.
Good craft beer
Worst restaurant in my 3 weeks in Spain. Food was awful. It was very salty. Overpriced. Rude servers. Horrible service. The server spilled liquid on my pants when she was removing the plates and did not even apologize... I would not recommend it.
Delicious food & wine. Lovely atmosphere!
Very tasty plates and reasonable prices. A perfect choice!
Very good mix of barbecue and octopus! All the plates were well served for a good price!
Very good dinner:)
Excellent place, great tapas and environment, the service 🔟, carolina was amazing, the 🐙 was simply nyam nyam, while lacon was too much for 2, the goat cheese salad was great. Then the wine, albariño was tasteful, the dessert was great and they brought a candle tarta Santiago to cellebrate the 🎂, amazing.
Absolutely delicious food, big portions and very fair prices. We had pimientos de padrón, pulpo feira (octopus), calamar (squid), almejas (clamsand zamburiñas (scallops). Everything delicious! The staff was also very friendly. We would definitely go again!
Friendly Service and very good food!
Normal food not super good experience. Our waiter was nice but there was another one no very helpful when asking por suggestions about the food and a bit rude. Not coming again for sure. Just next to this local theres a nicer one.
Delicious food and wine! I am a wine 🍷girl and this one is definitely veryyy good and veryyy cheap …€4.5 for house wine which was an exceptional! The tapas … were sooo yummmy, definitely order scallops, clumps and the goats cheese salad 🥗
The food was decent.
Staff not friendly but accommodating. Good was good but not exceptional which brings down the value a bit. Still with a visit.
Excellent food and even more excellent service
Delicious food, great service, lovely atmosphere, moderate prices. What else can you ask for? Muchas gracias 🥰
Amazing food and galician octopus is a must. During lunch time you might need a reservation.
Great dinner! Lovely ambience, and pleasant staff. Was recommended to us by a local and it didnt disappoint.
They simply expelled us. Need to say more? Pilgrims are not welcome. Nobody said so when we sat but when other clients arrived they brought the bill and said there was a reservation.
Awesome seafood dinner. Julia, our really attentive waitress took great care of us. Highly recommended for Galician traditional seafood dishes. Whole staff was cute and professional. Thanks again everyone.
Very friendly stuff;food was great!
One of the many restaurants in Rua do Franco in Santiago. The waiters are very attentive and the food is nice enough, and so is the atmosphere. Sadly the food is not quite as good as in some other places we have tried and the octopus with cheese on bread I cannot recommend, as it really is diminishing the wonderful taste of the octopus. The desserts were nice but had been prepared beforehand and were served more like in a Coffeeshop than what you would expect from a restaurant at this price point. This being said, we had a nice time 😊
Incredible service! The woman who runs this place is fantastic. Great location and fantastic prices. Will come back for sure!
Traditional Spanish tavern. The food is adequate and just what you would hope for and expect. I was pleased to see they used quality ingredients and the wine was high quality. I recommend this place for an everyday meal!
Not bad in spite of being at the proper touristic old town. Really nice and professional stuff
What to recommend here? The staff was really thoughtful, Mahou beer and both mat and seafood available. I would recommend it if I were looking for a place to eat/have dinner
Super good quality food, fresh products, amazing pulpo, and delicious wine. And very friendly staff. And recommend
We really appreciated this restaurant. We tried the churrasco and the octopus! The price was appropriated :)
Loved it. Sat inside and had a really enjoyable time with my wife and kids. We shared the meat platter on chips and the tortilla was delicious.
My favourite restaurant in Santiago de Compostela. They do a huge meat platter for two people for €35.00. It consists of various sliced steaks on a bed of french fries. Absolutely delicious. €3 for a beer and €1.20 for a coffee. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly service.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food
Great place to have lunch or dinner. Good quality. The best is the service, very friendly and responsive. Family approach
Very nice place to eat with good quality food.
The atmosphere and service was excellent. But the food.. I am speechless. We had the paella for 2 and it was the most amazing culinary experience. So delicious and FULL OF SEAFOOD! Wow! Really one of our best meals ever!
Just took an hour and 10 mins for appetizer....toast with cheese and pork bits....cant wait to see how long entree takes
Good food and helpful hosts.. Despite our lack of Spanish..
American Tourists!!!! Eat here.I have been fortunate to eat all over this great city. This is one of my favorites if Not the best.I live in New Orleans & I know good food.Such great seafood!!! And Chorizo !!!Food AStaff ASeafood A+Chorizo A+Wine A++++Return Visit???? Absolutely!!!!Great restaurant. Muy Bien!!!!
Cheap drinks and excellent tapas. The octopus is highly recommended
Wonderful seafood paella, reasonably priced, all accompanied by a friendly service and great wines. Generous portions, good atmosphere, this is one of those rare choices on a tourist main street that does itself (and the cityjustice for offering delicious food and a down to earth approach. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we had a great time!
Great atmosphere and very generous tapas when ordering drinks. Always go back!
awesome place to eat the typical food of the area. Staff is friendly and food is very fresh.
The food varied between plates. Some was great, others just filling and stodgy. Good service. Mediocre ambience. Weirdly, our table was plagued by mosquitoes or little flies.
Lovely spot, visited this bar a good 4 times in the short visit we made. Great tapas with the drinks. Favourite spot was the little table at the front opening up onto the street
Nice friendly vibe to this place. Wine is good, food is excellent. Best steak I have had for quite a while.
Very good food, nice background music, friendly staff. Recommended.
We had a fantastic meal and wonderful service despite the full restaurant. Everything was very fresh, tasty, and of very high quality. If you are hungry and appreciate a good meal, this place is a must! We had the octopus and potatoes, croquets, and grilled meat plate for two for dinner, and rice pudding the tarta Santiago for desert with the Hito rosè.
This is a popular restaurant in Santiago and there is a reason, it is not overpriced and the food quality is exceptional. Do not miss the arroz con Bogavante, is a piece of art.
WOW!! Best for steaks, good tapas, quality all the way. Professional service, great desserts, good coffee. We expected this meal to cost more than other restaurants, but in fact we paid a lot less, considering everything was top notch.RECOMMEND *****
Last night was our second visit in 3 days coz the food is tasty and fresh! The servers arent very smiley but they know their stuff, are quick and efficient and very professional.
Absolutely amazing food, with friendly waiters with a lovely traditional Spanish feel. And to top it all off. Its a good price !
