Merredin Motel & Gumtree Restaurant in Merredin

Everything we needed for our three night stay in Merredin. We loved the sound of trains passing. Enjoyed a very generous meal ( room service from the restaurant.

The hotel rooms have been updated recently. Room is spacious, bed is so comfortable nice tv tea coffee and microwave in room. The restaurant was also good with good tasting choices. Service was the best.

This motel is absolutely first class. Beds so comfortable, beautiful bedding and towels. Small kitchenette that is very well stocked. Gumtree restaurant had lovely food and owners are delightful. Highly recommend this place over any others nearby. Quiet and cosy.

The new managers Steve & Sandy are the type of people that move mountains for there guests. With spacious, modern & clean rooms the Merredin Motel is the only place we will stay. The beds are super comfy with nice linen and new windows that block all the noise out!! Feels like a 5 star hotel in the city, while being nestled in the country side!Have had a yummy breakfast from Chef Steve that was filling and affordable.The yummy salad bar isnt to be missed. Tastes great with both the fresh fish or the chicken Parmi. Its very handy having the restaurant as BYO so we could crack a couple of cold beers to!

A mate and I stayed here on a motorcycle trip. It’s a traditional style Motel with parking directly outside your room, which I prefer. The place was renovated, very clean and reasonably priced. The owners are super friendly and accommodating, to the point where they were about to close the restaurant for the evening, but kept it open to make us dinner. The chicken parmi and vegies was very nice and you could tell it was freshly made. Generous servings. Highly recommend this to anyone staying in Merredin.

Lovely motel with wonderful, friendly staff. Comfortable, clean rooms with beautiful fresh linen, had the best sleep!Thoroughly enjoyed our lasagne with yummy salads from the salad bar.Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

Came from Geraldton to spend time with my sister and decided to go to the gumtree and was very generous with meals size and absolutely delicious well worth it

The best place to stay in Merredin. Sandy and Steve are lovely and will go above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Restaurant also does amazing dinners which is a bonus! 10/10 would stay here again.

Don’t go past this little gem on the Great Eastern Highway. Rooms are spacious, clean and freshly decorated including a lovely local print on the wall. Bed is comfy with new linen and pillows galore. Bathroom is bright and fully equipped with a proper hair dryer!Had dinner in the restaurant andEnjoyed their homemade chicken parmy cooked to perfection.

I stayed for one night and right from the beginning you felt very welcome. The rooms were extremely clean. The food was amazing. Definitely a great place to stay.

A great little motel with very comfortable rooms refurbished in early 2021 - rare for Merredin! On top of that, some of the best food you can get in the Wheatbelt. I will be back for sure.You just have to hope there arent too many eastbound trains through the night as the whistle board for the crossing is right outside.

My first stay here and I was very impressed. From my first interaction with the staff to the last, they were wonderful.The rooms are fresh and clean with the feel of a luxury hotel.I had the surf and turf for dinner and it was spot on.I would definitely stay again.

Really nice motel...captures the beauty of staying in the country but with a bit of modernisation. Rooms are really nice spacious and clean...modern feel and the service was really good. Probably the best place to stay in Merredin!!

Fantastic and clean rooms. Staff are super friendly.Only downside is you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls of the adjoining rooms.Or that could be an "upside" if thats your thing 🙃

Stayed here for a 2nd time, the owners are very friendly & our room was very clean & nice. We had dinner & breakfast & food was real yum. We will be going back again for a 3rd time

Secure parking in a quite location which is a coulple of kilometres from Hannan Street.Modern, clean and comfortable rooms and a good restaurant that opens for breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday.

Very good place, rooms are clean and tidy.The bed was really comfortable, good AirCon. The only downside is that they dont have a proper restaurant. Hope they will have one in the future so to have early brekkies and a warm meal at night. Thumbs up for the reception lady, very is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic service and rooms are always clean

The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. However the meal.was very disappointing. Delivered to the room frozen made it difficult to reheat a roast meal successfully with some parts too hot and others still.cold. Microwaved roast potatoes not a good idea. The soup was tasty but both meals were overpriced when you have to heat yourself.

We cant fault this hotel. Lovely room. with micro wave, Fridge, Kettle sachets of tea, coffee, sugar hot chocolate, Milk in the fridge in the kitchen. A shower and a toilet. a big tv in the bedroom with remote control 2 table lamps. The dinner was delicious and the staff were so polite and very helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Rooms are clean and well appointed. The family room is a connected room that very comfortably housed the whole family.The walls are a bit thin, but the train is not as loud as some on TripAdvisor say it is.I was pleasantly surprised by this motel.

Beautiful food, good ambiance.Though it is a bit expensive but it is a proper restaurant so youve got expect it.
