Meriden spice is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Meriden. Great food, cooked to your own preference for spice, friendly staff, cosy setting, and when the weather is good a lovely outdoor seating area.A real treat!

Ordered at around 7:20 food wasn’t delivered until 9:30, even when the food did arrive there was a spillage in the bag, 1 wrong rice was sent, the food was incredibly oily, bland and cold. I’ve ordered from here before and it was lively but this time was dreadful

What a wonderful place! We were staying over at the nearby best western and came for a meal on a Friday evening, the food and service were fabulous, delicious food and friendly service (family of 3 with a 9year oldthank you for a lovely evening

I ordered for the first time on Saturday after reading good reviews and I wasnt disappointed .There was 3 of us eating and we were all very pleased the quantity and wonderful taste of the things we ordered. It was very good value for the money which was also a very reasonable price.

Had an excellent Birthday meal with family at Meriden Spice last night. The food was lovely, but the staff are so friendly, you are one of the family. Always go out of their way for you. So lucky to have this fantastic restaurant in our village. Really enjoyed it last night and the leftovers tonight. Masala mach biran, rajeswari and a peshwari naan - beautiful.

Cosy, intimate place with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Visited 2 nights in a row and everything was spot on both times. The usual curry mains are on the menu, but also quite a few chef specials and signature dishes. Wish it was closer to home so that I could try a few more. VERY good

Great food and friendly staff. Tried the peshwari naan and was delicious, so will definitely order that again. Fish curry was prepared perfectly, with the right amount of spice, topped with fresh coriander and served piping hot.

First time we have visited meriden spice and definitely wont be the last. The food was exceptional as was the service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and stopped to chat. Brilliant service from start to finish.

Used this curry house many times.Last nights order was cold and late.King prawn butterfly was terrible value for money and ordered 2 shish kebabs and got one sauce. Very disappointed

Actually walked into this restaurant on the off-chance, and my goodness it is now the MUST GO to place for us. such a great atmosphere, loved it. Sthe customer service, WOW! absolutely FANTASTIC customer service, fully engaging staff members, so polite and the recommendations were just spot on. Finally, the food - PERFECTION is the only word I can use

I am originally from Coventry and have lived in Los Angeles since 1985 and I take my food seriously, finding a good curry is LA is not easy, and boy have I missed having a good curry.Well, I just had the LAMB SYLHETI NAGA and it just blew me away. The spice level was perfect and the flavor amazing. If half of their dishes are this good I would say you need to look no further for an excellent curry ~ this is the place, dont even bother looking elsewhere.I highly recommend you give this place a try and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I only wish I were here for longer so I could try more of their dishes.

I highly recommend this restaurant,the food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Excellent. Thank you. Staying at the golf resort down the road and took their recommendation. Asked them to bring out a selection of their best dishes and sides and left them to it. Can honestly say it was one of the best Indian meals Ive had. Great food. Great service and staff.

Love the food! I ate there 4 times over 7 days. The food was delicious. I tried something new each time. The staff was helpful when I dined in. I also used their online ordering 2 times for pick up. That worked really well. My food was ready for collection in short order. This is one of me new favorite restaurants!

14th August 2021Staying at the nearby Forest of Arden resort, we fancied venturing out and this location was close and well reviewed. At first we couldnt get a booking but the owner called me back and asked if we could come a bit earlier to fit in... happy to oblige!5 minutes or so by taxi we arrived at what appeared to be a pub - The Queens Head - and were somewhat confused at first, however the entrance to Meriden Spice is around the back and upstairs.Seems like a very odd building at first, and then heading inside it wasnt exactly spacious - nevertheless we were greeted with a super friendly welcome and seated immediately.The food was the usual selection youd expect at an Indian restaurant, and it was absolutely fantastic in terms of taste and quality. We had three mains, two naans, two sides and three rice between four of us and that was plenty of food - all of it cooked to perfection and spiced beautifully. The drinks selection is provided courtesy of the pub downstairs which was great, and made things simple for when we were done and went down for another beer.The extra element we didnt expect is that the owner is a hilarious character, full of chat and jokes with all of the customers and couldnt do enough to ensure you enjoyed your meal to its fullest. I can see why people keep coming back to this place.Honestly if youre in the area and fancy a curry, go here. Its simply excellent.

What a gem of a place!Unassuming, small, yet absolutely brilliant!Some of the nicest Indian food we have eaten anywhere. A small friendly place, tucked away behind a pub serving some top quality dishes. Service was swift, food served piping hot, good portions and absolutely delicious!Would definitely recommend and will be back next time we are in the Midlands. Thank you

First time ordered from this place. Can’t make a first impression again. Ordered chicken pathia and veg rogan josh. Very disappointed with the flavour of the mains, after reading the reviews we thought we would be pleasantly surprised but no, if we ate these blindfolded we wouldn’t have known we were eating curry. Lack of flavour, so bland and very watery - won’t be ordering from here again 😣

I can see this place could get really busy. Luckiky for me it was during the week and my order was completed in 20 minutes. For takeaway food it was really good and satisfying after a long day of work outside. Friendly service to.

Left waiting for over an hour for food. Take aways were going out every couple of minutes so you are probably better off having it delivered. Food was good when it eventually arrived I wish I could say this is the first time its happened but sadly its not. Phone order only from now on Im afraid.

Excellent curry. Delivered well. Adjusted their dishes to meet our requests (extra mushrooms, no potatonot eaten in yet but restaurant section looks nice a cosy and quaint.

Ordered from here for a Friday treat and was very disappointed with the food. Two of the curries were loaded with sugar and the lamb curry was tough and well over cooked. I hope the chef was just having a bad night, as i am surprised they are in business given the quality of the food. Will not order from here again.

Seriously good food, always delivered very quickly, customer service is impeccable, really friendly staff and did I mention how delicious the food is 😁 always arrives hot too ...which is a bug bear of mine. Very happy customer.

Hats off to the team at Meriden Spice tonight. Having ordered from here before and always being great. I had a problem with my order this evening with one of the meals not at all up to the standard expected. I called up and was immediately given a genuine and sincere apology without any arguments or excuses. They also delivered a delicious replacement as a priority and once again were extremely apologetic upon delivery. FANTASTIC customer service and barring the slight issue great food. Ill definitely continue to order from here and would recommend it highly still.

Had a take out and was not disappointed. Very friendly staff, very tasty jalfrezi, authentic. My partner had a fab Korma. Nice to be able to choose meat style. Huge portions! Not over priced at all. Will return on our next trip!

We came here on a whim and it was pretty busy. They got us a table within 5 minutes. The staff are very friendly and know how to have a laugh. The food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend. 😁👍

We were looking for an Indian restaurant on the outskirts of Coventry and chose Meriden Spice because of the great reviews. We had the warmest of welcomes, the waiters were friendly, funny and we had a great rapport with them with the perfect level of friendliness and mickey taking on all sides without over stepping the mark. The service was effficient and the food fabulous. The reviews are justified and well definitely be back for more...

Small but big on taste. Very good indian food, in one word - fantastic. It lies over a pub and is hardly even noticed if you dont know where it is. But it is worth a visit, the food is the best indian food I have found.

Ok so walking in, its an interesting venue however dont let that put you off.Staff are brilliant, they chat if you do and will leave you alone if you want some peace. Plus the music is good background music as well.Food is very good, yes I have had better but I found the food full of flavour and tasty.They dont do booze but will happily nip down to the pub its attached to to grab you a drink if you want.Over all very happy experience, food, staff, value.Well done guys keep it up.

Extra-ordinary food, really fresh and tasty, with great people that go out of their way to provide a great service. When travelling from anywhere in the midlands back to South Wales, we always try to pop in for a take-away, it is a real treat, every time. It is one of those rare places to find that is consistently excellent.

What a superb little restaurant, the food was out of this world and the staff brilliant. We took a party of 14 and 4 of this being very young children who behaved as little uns do, not a problem. We would like to thank all at Meriden Spice for a great evening and wonderful food, we will 100% be back .

Great little restaurant. Staff were excellent and very welcoming and helpful and even though we dropped in by chance on a Saturday evening they managed to fit us in without hesitation. Was hungry after a drive from South Wales so took the easy option of the chicken tikka masala ( which was very nicebut would have liked to have tried some of the specials which sounded delicious. We visit Birmingham and the nec a few times a year at least so will definately head back here next time we are in the area. Real little gem of a place.

This is a lovely restaurant ,cosy and authentic it is by far the best curry house within the midlands.The atmosphere is lovely,the staff are so warm, welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble here. It is diamond service all round and cannot fault this place at all.My Wife and I are regulars here who love a good curry, and we have never had bad service or bad food ,in fact, the food is just exceptional and the service is always top notch. Staff are always happy to see you, always on the ball and are always happy to help.Definitely worth a visit.You will not be disappointed with the food or service and what is offered.A added bonus is the beautiful garden that very few indian restaurants have where you can have a drink or dine.
