Merchant Square - Event venue in Glasgow, United Kingdom
Thats great place, stalls for different things , arts , photography etc. And good no of restaurant and Bar !
Great place with many restorants and pubs sharing the indoor garden space. At times there are market stalls inside so it can get busy. Big variety of cuisines to choose from and Oneils open till late with good music, sports screens and indoor and outdoor area.
Merchant Square is still as great now as it was 20 years ago. Some of the venues have changed names but the atmosphere that is created is electric. Eat, Drink, Dance, Socialise all under one roof. One of Glasgows best places hands down.
Went for a meal to Steak Cattle & Roll.Service was slow. Ordered steaks - veg & fries were hot but very disappointed in steaks as they were cold. Pointed this out to the Manager who offered replacement. The point being they should not have been cold in 1st place.Disappointing meal.
I moved to Glasgow as a student and as I came I seen ppl here are very friendly and welcoming so is the city and the city is very beautiful and filled with places to vist
Quiet Tuesday afternoonLittle atmosphere
Lovely atmosphere great place for food and drinks.
Lots of great venues! Super loud on a weekend afternoon :-but if you like that atmosphere, kudos to you! Across the street at the Mharsanta was more calming.
lovely place and lovely restaurant in there and some nice stalls
Plenty of bars too choose from enjoy food& drink and the atmosphere.
Lovely place to visit for food.and drinks not 2 expensive and very cosy 😊 😀 ☺
Good food great atmosphere. As its Glasgow City centre bring your own lubricant when your being shafted for parking charges
Fantastic place to eat and drink. Loads of options. Fully recommended
Great place to come and eat and drink with a variety of quality restaurants and bars.
Great place for drinks and food. Good place for rainy days as it feels like you are sitting outside but actually covered in
On saturday ir sunday there is always something going on inside.Best to check the website what is on inside the square. If it is hot the place is cool enough...Loads of places to choose from for eat or a coffee. Different types of cuisine and pricing for everyone.Good relaxed atmosphere every where.
Party time , lovely food and atmosphere
Lovely place for a quiet drink and food.
Interesting set-up of different restaurants around a central area for entertainment.
Great atmosphere for a drink no matter what pub that you go to
Loved this place ,first time Ive been while visiting Glasgow..Will definitely be back ...plenty of eateries to chose from
Interesting building with many places to eat and drink although very quiet and lacking atmosphere during our visit.
Expensive but pleasant surroundings. Nice on a Sunday for lunch
Great cocktails and fine beers to pick from hard working staff and very helpful and frendly. The stakes are great and cooked to perfection. Wee will come back very soon ps tomorrow.
Great atmosphere art work amazing food and cocktails good
Amazing place though walked through during the day. Will come back at night for the atmosphere..
Its nice. The restaurants are good. Ill be giving five stars because I dont know what more youd expect from Merchant Square. All the restaurants seems to enjoy a nice reputation in Glasgow, I went for a burguer and it was great.
Enjoyed visiting the place my grandmother used to go at 4:30 am every morning to buy fruit and flowers for the families "tram stop" shops. Enjoyed a passable if unremarkable lunch, dtaff were reasonably attentive in a "couldnt care less" way. Recommend if everywhere else is crazy busy, otherwise keep walking and looking
Merchant Square is really an interesting place to dine in. There are many restaurants under one roof. We visited two to three different restaurants over 2 days as some of them were not opened on certain days due to COVID restrictions. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the variety of food served at these restaurants. One of it was at Franell where we had Asian food for lunch. You should try too.
They do a good lunch deal but the service was mediocre as was the food. Chops and coleslaw were nice but the burger was average and over cooked. Wings were full of broken bones and had hardly any meat on them. Maybe it wasnt up to scratch as it was quie lt and had not long opened..im not too sure but I wouldnt return again. Shame as its in a good location.
Just a great venue, u can plan to go to Merchant Square without really having a plan, then just make it up as you go along as there are so many diff eateries and boozers to choose from ....perfect for those that cant quite decide what to do.
Love it here! Great bars & restaurants. Favourite is beer cafe. Glad to see indoor Market is back. Only disappointment is Fanellis restaurants has been re branded. Disappointing menu & tacky looking. Real shame as it was our fav resturant in the square.
Excellent selection of different cuisines and makes the indoor feel outdoor.
There are about 4-5 restaurants/bars located here so spoilt for choice. Food at Steak Cattle and Roll is well priced and pretty good. Loads of fries.
This is a fab base for the Merchant City , full of bars , restaurants and cafes the building is a reminder of when Glasgow was a huge trading hub and fortunes were made and lost
Covered square with restaurants and bars. Weekend craft fairs are held regularly.
Lovely night out in the Merchant city. Sets a nice atmosphere, clean and cosy. We dined in Steak, Cattle and Roll which is a fantastic restaurant.the food is first class, filling, delicious and the service is just as great. They bend over backwards to make sure we had an enjoyable night , and enjoyed ourselves. The are very knowledgeable in the enjoyable evening . We return all the time and will continue too in the future. Cannot recommend any higher. This little treasure within the merchant city is an absolute MUST VISIT!!!!
Been here during my visit to Glasgow. Our conference dinner was hosted within one of the restaurants inside. We centrally located and easily accessible.
Steak cattle and roll might be my favourite place to eat in merchant square, food is amazing and portion sizes are generous!
I like the square. A few bars and food places. Some of them seem to change quite often while others have been there for a few years. Occasionally there are mini markets inside, I guess no further markets for a while. It has a nice atmosphere. The restaurants inside have terraces for sitting outside the restaurant but still under cover from the market. The ground is pebbles/cobblers. Nice little place
The craft fair at the weekend was brilliant! Great place for food and drink and catching up with friends.
Lovely place for lively evening. Quiet a few places to choose for dinner
Large indoor space lined with bars restaurants (of the burger and fries variety). There are also benches and a big screen with sky news. Great atmosphere and an impressive place to take visitors out for dinner.
Great place to go a bit of everything for everyone food and drink good place to meet up with friends
Lovely place we went to a market there & then had food in one of the restaurants which there are many. lf youre in a wheelchair theres only one problem & that is cobble we couldnt find the disabled toilet so I hope to go back & find them. Cash machine in the market & big screen showing the F1 so you can enjoy sports with food & beer. Highly recommend
I love this place, so many places to eat and drink, I was there for the craft fair, but stopped in one of the pubs for breakfast. You can have everything from breakfast to dinner here or an afternoon tea.
The stalls and vendors are very nice and reasonably priced. Im not sure about the various eateries in there as I never ate anything but did get a few custom coasters.
Great little square, wifi widely a available. Things close down a bit early on weekdays.
A great place for eating out and maybe a wee drink or two
Visited the skybar , food was amazing staff couldnt do enough for you .lovely atmosphere .
